I have tightened the stock cpu cooler as much as I can and it still is at 84 celcisus, please help.

So I just upgraded my CPU to the Ryzen 5 3600 and motherboard to the B450 Aorus M I attached my previous CPU cooler on it which is the Be Quiet Pure Rock Slim. However when I booted everything up the CPU was always ramping up the fans and running anywhere from 43 - 70 degrees Celsius. -I've updated the Bios -Installed all the motherboard software -Installed the latest AMD drivers But to no avail. Hey everyone, I just upgraded to a 5900x and did a ton of testing. I'm getting really high temps compared to my 3900XT. Here's some info: Ambient temps: 28-32 C (in a heat wave unfortunately) Idle: 50-60 C 100% Load: ~75-80 C stock Cinebench R20, ~90 C w/ PBO enabled Gaming (w/ PBO & Curve offset -20 & all power/current limits at stock, makes barely any difference to temps vs regular PBO or even stock): AC Valhalla (usually ~20% CPU usage) = 70-75 C Forza Horizon 4 (usually ~20-30% CPU usage) = 73-80 C NFS Heat (usually ~40-50% CPU usage, Frostbite games always seem very intensive) = 85-88 C For reference, I have a 360mm AIO, used Noctua NT-H2 thermal paste (applied with one blob in the middle, 4 blobs around), and I have an RTX 3080. I used my 3900XT yesterday (around the same ambient temps) and my temps were ~10+ C cooler. I don't think it's my thermal paste/cooler application, since my coolant heats up a lot more and my fans spin much faster. Any help would be appreciated!

Hey. i built my pc today. I neatly connected all cables. when i started my pc i was shocked by the temperatures of my processor. It reaches 90 degrees Celsius when idle. The AIO makes noise from the liquid that goes through the cables and the RGB works. only in the bios is AIO pump speed N / A. what does this mean, is this the reason my temperature is so high? Did I put too much thermal paste on it or is the cooler not sitting properly on the CPU. Please help me! Hello, I have some trouble with my computer. My specs are Intel core i5 4670k 3,5 years old (everything is old except for the gpu and cpu cooler Asus gtx 1060 6gb 3 months old CPU cooler Corsair Hydro H60 Watercooler Recently when I turn on the pc the cpu cooler fan goes crazy and the temperatures are 50+ celcius And sometimes it even goes up to 100 celcius. However it can work perfectly fine all of a sudden sometimes and my temperature drops down to 28 celcius. I thought the cpu cooler might be broken so I took it to the store and they gave me a new one. I used the cpu cleaning liquid to clear off the old paste on the cpu and then I installed the new cooler with the pre applied paste and now I'm getting 50 celcius and now below. If I open a game like World of Warcraft it goes up to 70-80 degrees celcius. Before when everything was normal it was never above 50 degrees whilst gaming. Even a few minutes after I close down the game the temperature stays the same. Why does the cpu get so incredibly hot ???? How is it even possible that it can get this hot with the cpu cooler properly installed? I am literally doing nothing just turning the pc on and its automaticly at 60 degrees celcius, then I shut the pc off and a few hours later it works perfectly fine, I can have it on for 8 hours it never gets above 45 degrees. What is the problem ??

Hello, I have tried to find a solution for this for so long right now and it seems almost impossible to solve the issue, maybe the best thing to do is to trash the pc and buy a new one I would really appriciate if anyone could help me solve this. I would be very greatful. Specs: Intel core i5 4670k (Haswell) Never overclocked it! 4 years old Motherboard: Socket 1150 Gigabyte z87-HD3 Never overclocked it!! 4 years old PSU: Corsair CX600 Modern 80+ bronze 4 years old Ram: Vengeance DDR3 1666Mhz 2x 8gb 4 years old Gpu: Nvidia Geforce GTX 1060 6gb 2 months old (Previous was r9 270x sapphire pre OCed) CPU cooler: Corsair Hydro H60 v2 (Watercooler) 2 weeks old. (Had the same one before but the store gave me a new one due to remaining warranty.) Okay, here is the story of how the PC started to act so weird. 2 months ago I bought a new GPU, I got the new 1060 6gb, I installed it without any problems and it was running perfectly fine, At this time My cpu cooler was 3 years old. Same kind as I have new but just a older one. One day the pc just turned off by itself and it would not turn back on. It would restart in an infinite loop. I shut it down by pulling the plug and it was fine after a few hours. This issue kind of repeated the next day so I went online to check for some solutions. I found that dust and stuff like that could be the problem so I completley cleaned my computer from all the dust. I used a vaccuum cleaner to clean the radiator and some other places. I never vacuumed the gpu or cpu or barely the motherboard however. I did vacuum clean the fan of the powersupply. AFter cleaning it from dust it worked perfectly fine and I was able to use it properly again. Then one month later I started to get really high cpu temperatures and the cpu fan went crazy all of a sudden. the temperature was 100 degrees celcius. I shut the pc off and after a few hours it was fine and the problem would come back on startup from time to time, and it just got worse. Recently It has been 70 degrees celcius on idle each time I start the pc. If I enter bios its always 80+ and I can hear the cpu fan go crazy. I asked on this forum what the issue may be and they said its the cooler, I changed back to stock cooler and I got the same problem. I thought it might have been because of the cooling paste. So I cleaned it with the alcohol thingy you use for these kind of things which I got from the store. And Reapplied and I still got the same issue. Even after changing the cooler I got the same issue. Some people believed that it is because the air intake/outtakes are badly installed. It can't be because of that since it can work perfectly fine sometimes with 24 degrees celcius even if I play for 20 hours straight it NEVER goes above 50 degrees Celcius. I reecntly discovered that If I enter the bios and change the cpu fan speed from normal to Manual and then exit and save everything works perfect. But after a day or two it goes back to the normal bullshit. and I read over 70 degrees + the cpu fan goes crazy. I tried to change it back from manual to normal today and now its working fine to. What is the problem? How can it work completley perfectly fine one day and the next it is super hot?! I am going mad. Please help me. Thanks.

So, A few days ago I had a old psu and thepc would only start sometimes and then sometimes it would just make the fans go crazy and the monitor would remain black when attempting to turn it on. Now I have a new psu and I can turn on the pc always. However when I turn on the pc I HAVE TO ENTER BIOS and do nothing then exit and save in orde for the cpu not to be hot. Why??? If I dont do this the temp is 60 celcius but if I enter and exit it NEVER goes above 50 no matte how much I do on the pc. I just dont understand why? Why must I enter bios and exit for the cpu temp to be really low ??

Hello there, I've been always fond of gaming on a computer, and last week, i finally got my starter build with the help of friends who were kind enough to finance my new rig, since i am a broke student lol. Anyways, I've been when playing games on it and i notice the CPU starts kicking up in temps like crazy, and the fans just go whoosh, and i'm worried if i might be hurting the CPU by playing games extensively, and am considering just stopping gaming on it altogether until i get the chance for a better cooler than the stock Intel one, here are two pics comparing when it's on idle, and when it's on a game, my question is, is this normal or everyone gets similar results when using the stock cooler?

So I recently got a 6600k for Christmas. After I installed it I noticed that temps were higher than usual, getting as high as 75 c with only a few applications open. I am currently using the CoolerMaster Hyper T2 with about a pea-sized dot of Arctic Silver 5. I'm not sure what I can do to get these temps down.

Hey LTT Community, I have a i7-7700k that I am putting in my new build. I havent bought any sort of cpu cooler and I was planning on using my old CoolerMaster Hyper 212 Evo. I have heard that the 7700k runs quite hot and I wont be doing any modifications or overclocking (I have already bought the CPU I know i should'nt of gotten the K version) I want to know if I should invest in a new Liquid cooler. If so which one would you reccomend (preferably Corsair) Thanks in advanced Oliver

Hi there, Please can someone help me? I've just put a new pc build together, but it won't post or Beep. All the fans come on but the video card fans spool up, then down, then up and down again non stop. I've noticed the pipe to the radiator is getting very hot, almost too hot too touch. I don't know if I can hear any pump noise, as I've never heard it before.. I've stripped it back to motherboard, psu, 1x ram stick, cpu and cooler.. Still with no joy. Could the pump in the cooler be screwed? Windows 10 pro 64bit (with intent..) msi x99a sli krait edition (BIOS version unknown.. Hey guys, I recently just upgraded my prebuilt pc(ik, horrible decision in my part). Its about 2 years old and I decided to upgrade my gpu and power supply And while the gpu works great, Im afraid that I might be killing my cpu slowly.When playing Blackops3/AC my temp min is around 70degrees C, max is about 92 which is crazy. On idle it sits around 40-50, 60 on light load(games such as leagueoflegrnds)Also upgraded from stock cooler to Hyper T2, the only only one that fits in my case, but seen no difference on heavy load. I have used both HWMonitor and NZXT cam for monitoring. Heres my specs: AMD A10 6700 with integrated graphics 8gb Ram Msi GTX 970 100 ME 600W PSU 1TB HDD Windows 8.1 Hyper T2 Cpu Cooler Additional Noctua 92mm fan for rear exhaust Although I am planning to uograde soon, id like to keep this pc as it is and ifpossible run these games on a safe temp. If you have any suggestions, itwill be greatly appreciated

I Built a PC for my dad and put it together with suprising succes, but when I power it on and enter the BIOS it gives cpu temps. of 60°C and slowly rises to about 75°C. The system specs. are: CPU AMD A8-7600 Motherboard Gigabyte GA-F2A88XN-WIFI RAM 2 x 4 GB HyperX DDR3 Case Chieftec FI-02BC-U3 PSU 200W (intergrated in the case) CPU cooler Kodakti SCKDT - 1000 I know that it is possible to run the A8 at 45 Watt to reduce heat (the build was meant to be that way) however I can't figure out how to do so. Any ideas?

I have a Corsair H55 57 CFM liquid CPU Cooler and an intel 5820k non over clocked CPU running at 38 degrees Celsius in windows idle. When under image rendering specifically rendering 3d CAD images and a CPU usage of 100% the CPU is running at 74 degrees Celsius. Is this normal for the H55 or did I apply the thermal compound wrong? Should I have bought a more beefier cooler?

Hey, I have an intel i7 4770 with a stock cooler. I Get temperatures around 70c (using Hw monitor) when playing Bf4 and I can feel the case behind the CPU getting quite hot and the fan can get quite loud. According to Ai suite 3 my CPU fan speed is around 1900 rpm at 70c. Should I look at getting a CM 212 evo? Would applying some arctic silver thermal paste to the stock cooler be a good idea? Any opinions are welcome. Thanks.
