Hello! Im basically just trying to get a USB HID device working in the chromeOs bios, since the included keyboard is dead. Any help is great, thank you!

Hi all, I am hoping some one can help me I am getting really sick of these crashes given it's a nice headset when it's not crashing my PC I was hoping someone can help me fix the problem. G hub is upto date and the firmware of the headset is upto date. I have tried reinstalling g hub and the headset driver multiple times. So yesterday i was using my pc normally and then, something weird happend. First of all, i have a desktop pc Windows 11 pro Ryzen 5 3400G with apu No external GPU Asrock a320m r 4.0 motherboard Two generic 2600mhz 8Gb ram sticks An old 650w Power supply (I have a feeling this can be the problem) I was playing Outer Wilds in medium settings when the pc goes off. It sounded like a hard reset (pushing the power button and hold for 5sec to power off the pc) and when I power on again... Nothing, no post. So a tried un plugging the pc from the auxiliar power supply I have and plug it directly to the wall socket. Then the pc starting to fail to start, the fans and leds turn on for like a second and then power off again. I un plug the power supply from the motherboard and let it cool down for half an hour, plug it again and tried. Then the pc start normally but no post. I removed the ram sticks and let they on the table for a couple of minutes and plug only one to the motherboard, no post. Tried with the other: FINALLY POST! So, windows starts nornally but, no keyboard, no mouse, well, that's weird. I have a 10 dollar generic office Genius keyboard and a cheap led generic "Gaming" mouse. The leds of the mouse turn on but no driver seems to be found. The keyboard is totally off. I turned off the pc and tried unplugging both and tired usb 3.0 ports, but it doesn't work. Windows starts nornally but no mouse. So I connected via Anydesk from my phone and manage to get to the Device Manager, there's no driver nor driver category to be found in there. Like keyboard and mouse even exists in windows. No inherence hardware even in the list. Check the Human Devices Interface Service, it was disabled, even more weird. Enable it and tried, nothing. Restart the pc, nothing. Service is running but no bueno. Think the entire usb hub was dead, so plug an external hard drive. Works just fine. Plug another usb mouse from my sister's pc. Not work. No usb was left untried. Non of then works. So tried to get to the bios to check if the usb hid was disabled but, of course keyboard doesn't work. Tried plugging a PS2 keyboard, it works! Ok, but I have a hybrid ps2 keyboard mouse port so i still need the usb to recognize my mouse at least. Manage to hack around with the ps2 keyboard on the bios and found nothing referring to the usb legacy mode or so. So i went to the bios battery. Unplug everything and remove the battery, left that way for half an hour. Plug the battery and turn on the pc. The bios was reset but still no usb mouse or keyboard working. Went to the CMOS reset jumper and short it. Again, another reset but no mouse or keyboard working. At this point I have a probably dead 8gb ram stick and a rouge usb hub which recognize everything but an HID. I suspect the power supply is not delivering the correct voltage. I removed every conector and clean it and connecting it again but nothing. I tried the keyboard and mouse on my sister's pc and they worked just fine. At this point i thought windows is missing the driver but even the bios does not recognize the peripherals. So my question is, can a failing power supply cause this behavior in thw usb hub? i gonna try with another Power supply tomorrow.

I'm saving up for an HID laptop, Clevo chassis, and I just need some guidance choosing the best SSD for me, and the number of options are a little overwhelming. There's video editing in my future, so I've already decided on NVMe. I'm thinking about the Samsung 960 Pro because I've had a bad experience with reliability in the past, but holy hell that's A LOT more expensive. My wallet wants to just settle for the "HIDevolution Approved" option, but my paranoia says to go all out so I don't have to worry about it. Reliability is far more important to me than marginal performance differences. I guess my ultimate question is this: Is the 960 Pro worth the price in terms of reliability, or could I get the same thing with the least expensive option, or is there a sweet-spot somewhere in the middle?

Hello, So I recently purchased a cheap "VR Controller" from Aliexpress in the hopes that I could maybe run it through software to get two of them to emulate a Xbox controller. Though when setting them up today I ended up with something.... Strange.... The device appears as 7 devices! Basically 7 different drivers make up this controller; and whats strange is that each one is designated to a different function. Now this wouldn't be a big problem if I could disable all but the controller part of it and then work with it from that; but windows does not give me any options to disable it's keyboard emulation; and the controller emulation is has doesn't even work! So now I have a controller that has it's thumbstick bound to mouse, Y and A buttons bound to volume up and down, and X and B bound to page up and down. It's trigger is left click. Now my question is; is there any way around this? Is there maybe another driver around somewhere that can unify these functions? Here is some of the data I can pull from it. Hopefully this is enough information. I've been scratching my head at this for a while and tried a few different programs like V-joy. But no success at anything really...

I have a gaming mouse from Teknet om gaming pc (Win10). It's pretty nice..at least for my needs. It's config software is...not great, but I have it working to some level. Here's the situation: I'm playing Champions Online a bunch right now, and decided I wanted to make use of the 5 thumb buttons on the mouse. I found, with no config, when I pressed button 1-5, the game would interpret the mouse presses as key strokes key 1 thru key5 Using the Teknet software, I set the buttons to send a CTRL-1 (thru 5), and that seemed to work just as I hoped. BUT, I've noticed that what's actually happening is when I press the thumb buttons, I get BOTH the programmed combo (Ctrl-1) but also the original keystroke (1) in the game. Chatting with experienced players, they think it's a game side problem (it's 11 years old, so the thought is it's just interpreting the extra mouse stuff as an extra keyboard) There is not a way to just program the buttons inside the game. MY QUESTION IS, can the very smart and clever people here suggest a solution? On my imac, I have a program (controllermate) that let's me change what the mac sees...as a whole, or program by program...when a button on a usb device is pressed (so I ahve several number pads that are used for various macros and stuff...only hardwired things like a "000" key can't be changed. Is there stuff like this available for Windows? Do you think that might work, or might the game still see the regualr numbers, since in theory it should only be seeing what the teknet software tells it in the first place?

Hello! I am having some hard time with my mice using win10 x64 educational The problem occurs randomly, in 5 hours it will most likely annoy me from 0 to 3 or 4 times From time to time my mouse gets glitched in two different ways 1. Mouse pointer is stuck, I can LeftClick and RightClick but moving the pointer is impossible 2. Mouse pointer gets insane sensitivity (Around 1600 DPI compared to my prefered 400) and LOD (Distance from the surface that senson catch the movement) is increased to its maximum. When picking up the mouse, pointer is changing its position randomly. [Temporary fix: Unpluggin and plugging back the device < Always works] [Disabling and enabling HID driver in device manager < Never worked] This problem almost always appears when I stop moving my mouse for couple of seconds The problem doesn't exist on other systems like Linux ubuntu / win7 x64 [Already tried] Reinstalling mouse driver Trying all USB ports including 3.0v Trying different DPI , LOD settings Trying to fix windows files integrity Uninstalling all software that might be related to mouse After an hour of testing safe mode the problem didn't exist (It might be lucky not catching it) My device: Zowie FK1 plugged via USB2.0 Port [HW specs] OCZ 600W Gigabyte Z68a-B3-D3 i5 2500k @ 4.5GHz 16GB DDR3 @ 1600MHz GTX 970 @ 1.4GHz / 7000MHz Asus Xonar DGX Samsung EVO850_250GB [System drive] Crucial M550_128GB HDD Seagate_500GB [Bonus question] I am getting insane amount of problems with booting my entire system, without proper behaviours (like: disabling PSU when PC is off and enabling it before booting) When cleaning my PC I decided to check out all capacitors on my MOBO (They are fine) and PSU then I found out there is one puffed capacitor on my the laminate Do you guys think it might create those booting / power problems? Voltages on 12V seems fine, range between +11.9V / +12.1V, other powerlines are OK aswell Those are pics of my bad leaky boi:

So I got a update that is titled: PXI - Pointing Drawing - HID-complaind device What is this update? Searching LTT forum this term was mentioned in USB mouse troubleshooting so I assume it's a update for my mouse driver? Anyone else got this update?

Hello, this less a troubleshooting topic than it is a dialogue between Corsair HID users. I would like to set up macro keys and other functions for my m65 but i'm kind of a novice. Feel free to drop in and talk a bit about HID and what you can do with it. I'd like to know how to set up macro keys and profiles and all that fun stuff. Feel free to contribute whatever.

Okay so ever since I got my new keyboard (Corsair K70), my mouse (Razer Imperator) will randomly disconnect and then maybe 15 seconds later it reconnects. I think it has something to do with the HID (human interface devices) service, but I cant for the life of me figure out what it is or how to fix it. I've tried all my USB ports and updated all drivers. Nothing works. Anyone had this issue or know how to fix it?

like title says, it's stataus is "pending download." Even if I click on the Download button, it does nothing. I checked the update history and windows shows that it's been installed. I've tried some stuff I found online to try and fix it but still broken. Help.
