Hey all, was super hyped to play Tekken 8 today but the world had other plans. Every time I launch the game, it crashes with this error message: LowLevelFatalError [File:D:\p4\eagle\v100_xx2-build_pkg_win\ue\Engine\Source\Runtime\RenderCore\Private\ShaderCodeArchive.cpp] [Line: 354] ShaderCodeArchive::DecompressShader(): Could not decompress shader (GetShaderCompressionFormat=Oodle) Occasionally i'll get a "Not enough VRAM" error, i could not get the exact wording since it's extremely random. While writing this post, I then got this error message. i've only seen it twice. LowLevelFatalError [File:D:\p4\eagle\v100_xx2-build_pkg_win\ue\Engine\Source\Runtime\RHI\Private\PipelineStateCache.cpp] [Line: 348] Shader compilation failures are Fatal. If I don't recieve these errors, the game hangs and is stuck in a "Not Responding" state. My system specs are as follows: CPU: i9-13900K (Not Overclocked) GPU: RTX3080Ti MoBo: Tuf Gaming B760-PLUS WiFi RAM: 32GB Game is installed on an SSD. I have already done the following: Updated GPU Driver Verified game file integrity Tried to undervolt the CPU - Intel XTU Will NOT let me change my P-Cores down to 52x like everyone is recommending and i don't know why This is a fairly fresh install of windows (less than two months old) Tried running the game as administrator Tried running the game under Windows 8 Compatability mode. Tried both! There are extemely limited resources for troubleshooting online, which has lead me to create this post. from my research, the 13900k is just awful on stock settings and i should change it. funny that. I have also made a reddit post about this, i would like to get this resolved ASAP. Please, if you know how to fix this or could work with me on this i would be extremely appreciative. I just wanna play tekken, man.

This has been happening for a while but I never really cared to even think about it due to it not effecting my pcs performance. Though I see it as a cars check engine light. I'd rather know what the issue is know instead of letting it cause a big incident in the future. If anyone has a clue as to why this is the case please let me know! I've tried what I saw on a topic similar to the about turning off quick start up, but that was already disabled to begin with.

Hey, this is going to sound really weird but I've been trying to fix my cousins pc, at his house when it's plugged in every minute or so it will crash and get video tdr failure. The only thing that stops it in his house is if it's booted in safe mode of Uninstaller the drivers, I also used a different graphics card and it did the same thing. So I took it home to continue troubleshooting, as soon as I plugged it into my house nothing was wrong I played on it for hours, so I pinned it down to a faulty cable. This was not the case tried all new cables and no hope at his house, we tried different outlets and circuits too but all the same result, so I took it home and still absolutely no issue, so I took it to my friends house and it got the tdr failure I'm honestly stumped and wondering why the pc only likes working in my house. Please help me

Budget (including currency): Bottom dollar, or using what is available and replacing as necessary in future. Country: 'Merica *bald eagle screech in the distance instills majesty* Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: NAS/Storage for datalogs and tuning files. Other details: TLDWR (too long dont want to read); I'm trying to build my first nas with leftover pieces, and budget hardware but need guidance as well as someone to test my spare motherboard. MPG z390 gaming pro carbon. Secondly, I have 0 hecking clue what I am doing, and would love guidance on how to do it effectively, what would be necessary to build one, and keep it maintained in a terrible pc environment (dust, vapors, you name it we got it). Hey! Im JD and I work in the performance automotive industry, specializing in domestic v8 building and tuning. Cool, what does that mean here? I end up with a plethora of pdf instructional documents and anecdotal notes, that I would like to begin organized storage and easy access to it. On the other hand we also accrue a large stash of datalog files, too large to store locally on our devices that would be lovely to keep for future reference or C.Y.A factor when a customer has an issue, I can pull a file and improve my ability to diagnose or provide insight into potential issues. So... what do I need? Thanks for asking. I'm trying to piece together, what i believe would be a NAS. I would like remote access if I can from home, however being able to transfer over network in the same building is a necessity, home access is not. I am using leftover pieces from my first few PC builds that I have kept for rainy days or tinkering interests alike, which leads me to my first need. 1: I have a spare MSI MPG Z390 Gaming Pro Carbon. It was purchased as a good working board, however on arrival I could not get it to post and replaced it with another of the same board, so it got shelved. Everything looks visually fine (pins, traces, etc), but I am a tinkerer and not an IT/PC wizard like some folks here. It could be a simple issue, it may be detrimental. I am just hoping to find a trustworthy service or individual I can have test the board for me. 2: I have no idea where to begin with hardware/software and reading just makes things more confusing sometimes. I am a total newb when it comes to storage systems and simpler is better for me and the others who would use the system. Therefore, a simple software/os would be lovely. Stable is a necessity as there is no to minimal downtime for service. While I am semi-competent and have built my own PC's and service regularly, this is a nas in a shop with no IT department. Just a nerd who sees a need lol. 3: Hardware! My plan is to reuse the aforementioned z390 if it is good, and I have a spare case with disk drives. From there, I am lost. Is there a special bit of hardware I should include, or need for QoL, or do I just jam this punk full of drives, boot up the recomended OS and just let it rip? A serious thanks in advance to anyone who not only takes the time to read my word spew stew, but provides some insight and education on the topic.

Hi there, I have been dreaming about building a gaming PC for a long time and am finally going to have a sizable amount of cash to be able to do so. I am, however, not very in-the-know when it comes to parts hence my arrival here. I have a system built out but I need to know a little more about things like; What additional parts will I need to make it work? Am I going to run into problems with things like power spiking causing my PSU to shut down? Are there parts that are just straight better to be using? and ultimately is this plausibly going to meet my needs and goal. I am looking to build a PC that I can use to play games at a relatively high fidelity with solid performance 1440p and over 100 fps would be lovely but I'm okay with less FPS. I also want to be able to use the PC comfortably with work as I am currently in school for Software Engineering and may end up using it for work down the line. The main factor, however, is that if I'm spending this much money, I want this PC to be able to last me around 4-5 years without having to worry about replacing or upgrading parts besides adding more memory. Budget (including currency): $3100 (ish) $CAD It can go over if I'm getting better performance or longevity, but I don't want to go crazy here. Country: Canada Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: I will be playing a lot of single player RPGs, likely open world as it seems that that is now the most common in the industry as well as a small amount of streaming. I don't currently foresee doing any major video editing but there may be the occasional video upload. Either than that, possibly using it for work. Other details: Current Build: CPU: Intel Core i7-13700K 3.4 GHz 16-Core Processor CPU Cooler: Noctua NH-D15 chromax.black 82.52 CFM CPU Cooler Motherboard: Asus TUF GAMING Z790-PLUS WIFI ATX LGA1700 Motherboard Memory: Corsair Vengeance 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR5-6000 CL36 Memory Storage: Samsung 980 Pro 1 TB M.2-2280 PCIe 4.0 X4 NVME Solid State Drive + Seagate BarraCuda 4 TB 3.5" 5400 RPM Internal Hard Drive Video Card: Sapphire PULSE Radeon RX 7900 XTX 24 GB Video Card Case: Corsair: 4000D Airflow ATX Mid Tower Case Power Supply: Corsair RM850e (2023) 850 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Supply Case Fan: 4x Noctua Ax25 chromax 60.09 CFM 120 mm Fan I will also be needing a keyboard but have an old Logitech G602 mouse that has served me faithfully for 9+ years and has no problems so I'm going to keep with it. I have 2 24 inch 1440p 144hz monitors that I would like to make sure I am taking full advantage of. If it matters I will be running Windows 10 PRO and then 11 PRO on it as I need it for school https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/list/FJp2tn I have done a decent amount of research into all of the parts so I know at least a little about what I have selected. I would also like to avoid water cooling if possible as I am going for more longevity and with more parts there are just more places for a fault to happen (and I'm new and more likely to make a mistake). I am also aware that both the 13700K processor and 7900 XTX do run warm hence the money that is being spent on high grade fans. Please let me know if you have any parts that you think would be a better recommend then what I have listed. I'm new, so please don't bully me too harshly lol

Hey everyone, First of all I apologize if I'm writing in the wrong section I am very new to the forum. Also please excuse my English as it is not my first language So I bought a WD SN850 SSD, since I happened to catch it at a reasonable price. The thing is advertised as being able to push 7000Mb/s read and 5300Mb/s write. That being said, I've ran Crystal Disk Mark a couple of times on it, and it is only able to reach 3500/2500. I have one other SSD from WD that is performing exactly like expected. One thing that I have to note is that the WD SN850 is Gen 4.0, but my motherboard (Asus Maximus XI) has Gen3.0 x4 Nvme slots. I was pretty silly to buy the ssd before reading the manual, but from what I understand Gen3 should be able to push 15Gb/s, so why is my SSD pushing half of what's advertised? Could it be faulty? Is it really because of Gen4.0 vs Gen3.0 slot? Or am I missing something? (probably the most likely possibility) Just to tick some boxes: BIOS is updated Windows is updated SSD firmware is updated WD dashboard says drive health is normal (100%) WD S.M.A.R.T extended diagnostic found no problems with the drive Anyways, thanks in advance for any help, be sure to ask me for more specs if you think the problem might be coming from somewhere else. And again sorry for my likely ineptitude.

My laptops (l340-17irh) spec sheet states that it supports supports external monitor via HDMI® (up to 4096x2160@60Hz), which basically means any external monitor I use will only output 60hz, right? I need an external monitor for mixed use (work, some coding, reading, watching videos etc., no serious gaming besides some CSGO and hearthstone occasionally). I would appreciate some extra screen real estate, should I be aiming for 1440p or 1080p, what refresh rate etc.? I was thinking about getting a Lenovo G32qc-10, which seems like a cheap option with nice size and resolution, but maybe a 27" one would suffice. So I'm asking you for any budget monitor suggestions, under 300$. Thank you, any suggestions are much welcomed.

Hello! I'm pretty much done with the whole component part for the pc but now i have got a lot of software issues instead. First Problem. When i start up my pc it starts on a screen that forces me to enter bios to proceed and from there i can launch my pc using bootmanager. Second Problem. When i try and download for example Discord the download just fails and doesn't do anything despite how much i try. Third Problem. When i go into the browser to check if Youtube works nothing happens, it's just a dead gray screen. Fourth Problem. Sometimes when i restart the computer after changing some of the settings it always says that it's unstable even though the components should be able to handle it (The Ram Speed) Any Help is Appreciated P.S. I did set the ram speed to 3600 mhz during testing. Hello! I recently bought new components to upgrade my build and today I've started building. When I started to plug in all the connectors i realized that my old chieftec PSU only has a 4 pin cpu connector. I have the MSI h610m-g pro motherboard and was wondering if it still works or if if doesn't have the same performance as it would with a better psu. If it won't work I'd really like advice on which PSU to pick. I have checked the PSU tier-list but don't really understand it. If I have to buy a new PSU, would the Corsair CV 550W 80 bronze work or is it a bad PSU? That's the only PSU which I can find in local shops, otherwise I'd have to find one that is good on amazon.

I'm really stumped right now as to why my headset keeps disconnecting and reconnecting to my computer. I've updated drivers, unplugged and re-plugged everything on the motherboard, and turned off the power savings on EVERY SINGLE USB port. I don't know what to do anymore this has been going on for a month and I can't deal with this. before this i was having an issue where everything disconnected at once and screwed everything up. But that went away for a while and now I'm stuck with this. I'm using the Razer kraken pro v2. My setup is a Gigabyte 970A-DS3P, 8gb of ddr3 my processor is an amd FX 6300 which performs way above average and an RX480. I have a 750W power supply and a 1TB hard drive. I'm literally ready to put my whole setup on ebay for $10 As I typed this my headset did this 5 TIMES.

Budget (including currency): 2500USD MAY GO A BIT HIGHER Country: POLAND Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Games: Rust, my summer car(don’t laugh), pubg , fortnite. Streaming and quite a bit of 3D design Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): Of course I would like it rgb. Don’t worry about the pc case as I will make a custom one. Also would prefer it to be water cooled. I don’t need any extra peripherals. Currently I have an ASUS TUF FX 504 series laptop which overheats in games like pubg and fortnite, as well as civilisation. It has huge frame rate drops when designing in 3D. I bought a cooling stand for it but it doesn’t help a whole lot even though it is said to be very good. I certainly do not have any viruses causing it as I scanned it with avast like ten times. Any tips from Linus Tech Tips will be very appreciated .

So my problem is that my main monitor which is connected via display port to my GPU (1080 Ti) randomly says no input detected and goes black. Some Background: My secondary monitor that is connected via HDMI to the same GPU works perfectly fine without any disconnections. I have tried swapping my primary monitor to another pc and it works fine without any disconnection issues. This problem has been persistent over several months now despite several clean GPU driver fresh installs. The cable is inserted correctly and changing the cable to another port does not stop the monitor disconnecting) I am honestly stuck for ideas on what the problem is, especially since the problem seems to be intermittent and not brought on by any specific task (it happens in games, idling on the desktop, YouTube etc). The problem seems to be getting worse too as for the last few days the monitor will only find a signal for 5 seconds or so before going black and stating no signal input again. Unplugging the DisplayPort or power cable and plugging it in again will result in the monitor displaying as normal again for afew seconds before it again loses connection and black screens. This is all while the secondary monitor works perfectly over HDMI. I'm going mad honestly I don't know what's happening!

Sorry if this is the wrong place to ask for help I don't know where but: I recently installed a Nvidia RTX 2070S and new 750w power supply into my PC. Despite the fact that these were both big upgrades to my PC the performance of the PC has gone down. Things are for more prone to stop responding, things become sluggish if too much is open and I am getting lower frames on games than I was before (with the same graphics settings). Generally the performance is just worse. The drivers are up to date and I deleted the old drivers. I have 8GB of RAM and my CPU is an AMD FX(tm)-6350 Six-Core Processor. Everything on the PC is working, but just at lower performance than before. PLEASE HELP OR POINT ME IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION TO ASK FOR HELP!

Question: my old 750gb hard drive unfortunately failed, (only used about 300gb) and I need a new storage device. I am wondering if I should break my bank and get a new ssd, or buy a hard drive for it to eventually fail again. I am on a pretty tight budget, so I'd prefer it to be under $200. Thank you for all input in advance!

Hi all, Thank you for checking my post. As the title suggests, I need help on which new PC hardware I should buy. Let's start with specs: Main Rig: AMD FX-8350 M5A78L-M USB3 24gb Crucial Ballistix Sport @ 1600mhz 128gb ssd (Old 750gb hard drive failed ?) GTX 1050ti 4GB GDDR5 Secondary Rig: AMD FX-8320 Same mobo 8gb Kingston HyperX Fury @ 1600mhz 256gb SSD GTX 730 1GB GDDR5 Obiously I use the main rig for more demanding games on high, but some games drop frames on ultra. Sometimes I go on the secondary one because why not, and the bottleneck graphics card pisses me off. However, my SSD on my main rig is full, and I need to either buy a new graphics card, or SSD. Any input is appreciated. I would like to keep the upgrade under $300 USD. Cheers, Ace
