Hi all, This is my first time posting here so I hope someone can answer this. I have an old DELL OPTIPLEX 780 with Intel Core 2 Duo @2.93gHz, 500GB HDD, No graphics card yet (For reasons, i'll get the right cord eventually) and a Dell motherboard with 4-Channel DDR4 RAM Slots. It's got Windows 10 and no Wifi Card in it yet as well. The motherboard also has no M.2 Drives. So altogether it's not a gaming rig or anything, just a Google Search machine. This computer was constructed in 2011 BTW. The stuff I changed in it were the memory cards (The old ones broke) and the hardrive (Originaly Western Digital 250GB w/ Windows 7). The problem I'm having with it is that currently it has 4 GB of installed RAM in Dual-Channel Mode (2x2GB Cards). The brand of the RAM is RAMAXEL. I have got another 4 GB of RAM (The same brand and same layout as 2x2GB as well as the same gHz) sitting on my desk. I would like to install it to the motherboard, but every time I do the compter beeps at me and gives me a warning light. After taking it out it goes back to normal. I tried switching them around and putting them in different slots but that did nothing. I also Hit F12 whilst it was booting (When it was in Dual-Channel mode) which took me to the motherboard settings, but there was nothing about RAM config of DIMM slots. If ANYONE knows the answer to this or has any advise I will happily take it. Thanks Guys

My system: Motherboard - MSI AM4 B550M PRO-VDH WIFI Micro ATX CPU - Ryzen 5700g RAM - Corsair Vengeance LPX 32gb(2x16) DDR4-3200 PSU - Seasonic FOCUS GX-550 it won't boot to bios, although the monitor turns on when I turn on the pc, and the screen lights as if it's about to display something, but then it just says no signal. all fans light and spin. When I turn it on, the cpu light turns on for a few seconds then it turns off and the vga light turns on and stays on. occasionally my keyboard and mouse light up for a second and then turn off. the fans and fan lights are always on though, they don't turn off and on (unless I press the power button) things I've tried: - updated the bios - reseating the cpu - checking for bent pins (there aren't any) - trying the ram sticks one at a time - trying a ram kit from another pc that I know works - inserting a gpu from another system that I know works (1660ti) btw yeah I plugged my cables into the gpu instead of the motherboard when I did this - swapping out the cables with ones that I know work - trying every display port on the motherboard including the vga port - switching the psu port my cpu power cable is plugged into - I've gone as far as running it without the cooler for a few seconds to see if the cpu gets warm to the touch, it does. I'm at wits end here. I guess the only thing left for me to try is swapping the PSU for the one in my other system, and swapping the cpu with the ryzen 3600 from the other system to see if either of those work. But I'm exhausted and just typing this out before I pass out in hopes that someone on here will know of a solution. If anyone has any suggestions or solutions please let me know. maybe I got a faulty motherboard? Or maybe it just isn't compatible with the 5700g? although i've seen other builds using this combo. I had planned to run this thing off of the integrated graphics of the 5700g Any insight at all will be greatly appreciated, thanks

my computer boots up and freezes while playing games, sitting at the desktop, and opening software can cause the crash as well. The crash is either a simple reboot or crashes to the point where I have to restart the system. Sometimes the computer won’t even boot up, unless I wait a few minutes. I don’t overclock and never push the the system hard. specs: i7-9700f 16gb ram 2060 super 8gb b360m xtreme

System: Aorus x570 Elite R9 5950x Cooler: Be Quiet Dark Rock Pro 4 32 GB Trident Z Neo 3600MT/S EVGA 2070 super xc hybrid PSU: EVGA Supernova G5 850W XMP (auto memory oc to its rated speed thingy) is on to have my ram running at its rated speed. Sometimes whenever I boot up from a cold boot (not power supply being off but I have the system fully shut down) my system will just reboot during the boot process. So, system is off. I press the power button, lights turn on, fans spin. it turns off. it turns back on. fans spin, lights turn on, and then it boots into windows. Its inconsistent with when it does this, no rhyme or reason. Its not thermals, idles around 45-50 which I've read is normal for this chip. This was happening with the cpu on stock settings and with having set it to eco mode in ryzen master. BIOS is fully up to date. I have no idea why it is doing this and if anyone has an idea that could help me fix this that would be great. Current theory is its an issue with the bios and XMP because ive read about *similar but not identical* issues caused by XMP and other recent bios versions (so like one or 2 behind what mine is at)

Hello, About a year ago I have bought my first set of studio monitors for listening to all kind of music in high quality, but mainly classical music is my thing. For that I have chosen a set of Mackie MR524 with Focusrite Scarlett Solo 3rd gen (buying this DAC was the worst mistake in my life). I have used Klotz Greyhound 6.3 Jack-to-XLR cables to connect them. It was really nice for some time, but after a while I started hearing crackling sounds and thumping from the monitors even in idle (to be honest, these phenomenon were/are quite infrequent, so I cannot really think of anything in particular which I could omit/do differently to avoid this problem), ad it went by for the year, and during this period I have done the following list of actions to mitigate the issue: - Had a Google Home device, I have disconnected it completely, I thought the Wi-Fi module in that would interfere with the monitors. It did not help. - Then I got rid of my CC3, my motto was "You can never be sure" at that time. No luck either. - After that I bought an APC SurgeArrest PM8-GR which showed the sad truth, that the electric system in my room was not grounded. I have solved the issue (which was not an issue for the las 20 or so years with 4 different PCs, 5-6 displays, audio systems. So now only my circuit - which is as far as I know are completely separate from the others - is grounded. Other equipment in the house are on ungrounded ones. It did not really help either, but each of my equipment are working from the APC. - Then, just to be sure, I have put a ground fault circuit interrupter into my main socket to prevent any kind of damage by overcurrent or anything like that. - Then I got rid of my smart light switch (which needed a capacitor to be attached to the lamp to not to flicker), it did not really matter a lot. (edited) Then as a last thing, I have switched my DAC to a Mackie Onyx Artist 1.2. It somewhat helped, since it has better drivers but some of the crackling persisted. What can I do? As a last resort I started thinking of buying an ifi idefender to prevent any kind of ground issues. Is it really working or is it considered as snake oil? If this really helps, which ones should I use for noises like I have described above? The iDefender or the iSilencer? One more thing to ask: Can these crackling/thumping cause any kind of defect in the monitors themselves apart from that they are really annoying during a Chopin competition? P.s.: These issues were present with a high-end Dell laptop and a custom built X570 build as well, even if the DAC was put into an usb hub to be able to switch between the two computers. I got a hold of a Dell T710 server. 2 Xeon 5650 and 96 gigs of ram. Was going to game and stream on it with a graphics card upgrade. But can’t. The PCI e slot maxes at 25 watts. So I would like to get a board to put these cores in and ram. With a PCI e that is at 75 watts. For a GTX 1070 I have. I have an I5 6500 that can not handle both at the same time. I know I know the 5650 is what ever you want to say bad about them. But it’s all I got so I need help please. It would be nice to overclock these cores to 4hz if you know of any dual socket boards that can over clock. I have a 750 watt power supply also to give u more info.

So I recently bought a 2070 without doing my research and my BenQ 144z monitor only has dvi-d dual link and hdmi and d-sub(whatever that is) and my 2070 has 3 display ports and 1 HDMI and I've tried the HDMI and it won't support over 60hz, so I read online that I need to buy a DVI-D dual link to display port adapter. I just got it and I plugged it in and it said "Wrong cable, please use the cable that came with the monitor" I tried all the other ports and it still doesn't work. So I had an idea, could I buy a DVI-D Single-Link cable and plug one of the Single-Link cable ends in the back of my monitor, then plug the other Single-Link DVI-D cable end into the dual link DVI-D to DISPLAYPORT adapter and make it support 144hz? cause I think my monitor cable that is DVI-D dual link and the adapter that is dual link DVI-D to display port is making it mess up cause its 2 dual links going into each other. Do you think that idea would work or no?

So my PC has been restarting every 2-3 days, not crashing or blue screening, but just restarting. There have been no prompts (Like "Windows will restart in x minutes/hours/days). I run Malwarebytes almost everyday, so I don't think it's malware, but maybe it is... I don't know whats causing it but I would like to know so I can fix it/know that its nothing to worry about. Thanks for the help and here are the specs: CPU: Intel Core i7 3770 |Ram: PNY xlr8 16gb(2x8) 1600mhz |Gpu: Asus Strix 970 |Cooling: Corsair h90, 3x corsair sp140, 1x Corsair af120 |Mobo: ASRock Z77 Extreme4 |Psu: EVGA superNOVA 650w |Sound Card: Asus xonar DG |Storage: WD Blue 1TB 7200 HDD, WD passport 1tb |OS: Windows 8.1 64 bit
