Is a Ryzen 2600 overclocked a bottleneck, and if so how much, for a GTX 1070ti? I know there are better CPU's but I want to know specifically for this one.

(Sorry if the pictures look a bit wonky, don't know what was going on with my camera) Hey y'all, here's my current setup with a semi white/black theme. I've cobbled this together over about the past couple years, changing some things when I get the cash to do so. Just about everything has been painstakingly scoured for for the lowest price possible. I can't make THAT much working at McDonald's when i'm 15, so most of the parts are craigslist/ebay specials. Everything has been holding up great though, no issues whatsoever since transferring to the Meshify C. SPECS! Hello, I have a Gigabyte GTX 1070ti and am wondering if an upgrade is worth it or if I should just overclock what I have as much as possible and wait for what comes after the 5700 generation (It's already manufacturer overclocked before Gigabyte pulled the OC version). I use a 1440p HP Omen monitor and want something that will handle Cyberpunk 2077 75fps stable (monitor refresh rate). As things are right now nothing really drops bellow 75fps but the future looks demanding ? My PC: https://pcpartpicker.com/b/TCKBD3 My CPU is overclocked already.

Help! I7 6700k +GTX1070ti Low FPS so lost !
Skibabo posted a topic in CPUs, Motherboards, and Memory
Hi everyone, So i just bought a gtx 1070ti MSI Duke 8GB and slap that in my system to find out that games are running poorly and some others are just not more than limit okay. In Battlefield 5 medium i get less than 60fps or i go from 80 to 35 fps , same with shadow of tomb raider and some other games like Wolfenstein old blood medium 30 to 40 FPS. Until now I've tried : setting power setting to max performance in Nvidia and windows, tried to use older version of the driver , new fresh install for windows , delete driver with DDU and install again, chek my memory with Memtest 86, chek my cpu with intel diagnostic for cpu, reset bios to default , update everything , Done multiple benchmark prime 95, fur mark ,aida 64 and test everything with user benchmark and they say everything work well above expected and everything looks normal but not in games, for some reason with msi after burner when i look at the numbers while playing i only cpu a cpu usage of ~50% some cores are at 5% and others at 20% and the gpu sits at 98, 99% so im lost and don't know what to do im starting to guess its the motherboard?! my setup : CPU: I7 6700K 4@8 threads 4.3ghz Heatsink: Cooler master hyper evo 212 Motherboard: Gigabyte Z170MX G5 rev 1.0 Ram: 2x8 GO DDR4 2100Mhz samsung Drives: 1 x 256GO NVME M.2 Samsung +1 x 2To Hitachi HDD Video Card : GTX 1070TI MSI Duke 8Go Power Supply: Corsair CX 650W 80+Bronze Windows 10 64bit Pro (Latest Update) -
Hi! I have a Asus GTX 1070 strix, I wasn't looking for a new card but I gota reeeealy good deal for a GTX 1070ti. (A so good deal that I would earn money money if I sold it). So now I have to gpus, I can only use one of them other then when I'm rendering. I have a friend who has a Asus OC GTX 1070. My question is: Should I exchange my 1070ti with his 1070 so I can run sli? Then we both get an upgrade? Any thoughts on what i should do?

So I've recently upgraded to a gtx 1070ti from a gtx 770 but I'm worried that my i5 3550 from 2012 is now acting a big bottleneck on the system. Does anyone have any experience or advice on the matter and could they be so kind to recommend the best value cpu in terms of performance per dollar/gbp? Thinking the ryzen 3000 series is probably going to be the best bang for buck and its likely my CPU is holding back my system these days. My usage of the system tends to be for gaming at 1080p with max settings for the best visuals.

I have the possibility to acquire the PNY GTX1070Ti video card at a good price from a friend, but I have no reference to the PNY graphic card assembler. I would like to hear opinions about it, thanks in advance for your answers.

Hey LTT fam, i recently built a new computer and had one issue regarding ram already resolved by the amazing community! So I figured I'd turn here again in hopes that I will be able to find a solution! The issue that I am having is that my computer seems to really struggle when it comes to playing a game, and lets say watching something on twitch, or watching a movie / show (not on netflix). I experience random periods of lag, where the music keeps going but the frames skip. It seems like packet loss to me, but that doesn't explain the second issue which is watching something while gaming. Lets say the game isn't lagging and im watching something I downloaded; the movie seems to jump in frames as if it can't keep up. Ive tried different video files and different media players to see if it occurs and it does. That leads me to believe that I have a GPU maybe even a CPU issue? I don't have my graphics settings to ultra or anything like that, and on top of that the games i play the most (OW, hearthstone, WOW, SC2, DOTA2) dont seem to require that much processing power. My specs are as follows (i have nothing overclocked) AMD Ryzen 2700x AORUS B450 PRO - bios updated 16 GB Kingston HyperX- 3200 MHz RAM eVGA GTX 1070Ti - 8GB Black edition 512GB M.2 nVMe SSD - WD Black 512GB Crucial MX100 SSD (what i run my games off of) eVGA 750W G3 80 plus Gold PSU I have a dell 27" monitor running at 144hZ for gaming connected via display port, and my other 1080p 60hz monitor for media connected via HDMI. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks in advance !!

I am building my first PC. I have been using prebuilt PC for my school for long time. It is time to change since I graduated and got the job! I use my computer for mostly for autocad and some gaming. I need hybrid (watercooled) card due to my case configuration. I am looking at GTX1070 for $330 or GTX1070ti for $550 or GTX1080 for $750. These are my option. I gave up on RTX because they do not have hybrid version yet. I am willing to switch to RTX next year or so when they release hybrid version but I cannot wait till then. Please tell me which card is worth for me in these options??

Hey, I am looking into buying a prebuilt pc. The pc has a gtx 1070 ti and a ryzen 7 2700x. The pc has a Thermaltake 600w SMART power supply. I have heard that bad power supplies can lead to it frying your other parts in your pc. The power supply has many good reviews about it. The only thing is it only costs around $50. I have heard that might be to cheap. First of all I would like to know if Thermaltake is a reliable company? I would secondly like to know if 600w is enough for my specs. Thanks for the help. (Sorry this was long)

My current spec: i5 8400 stock cooler 2x8GB RAM 2400MHz GTX 1060 3GB 1x SSD 1x 7.2k HDD 3x 120mm case fan My current PSU are XCP-A500 Plan to upgrade from 1060 3G to either 1070ti or 2070, can my PSU handle this? Since I have tight budget, if upgrading PSU I does not have extra money to upgrade graphic card. If unable to handle, which PSU I should get?

Yesterday I finished building my new gaming rig. Ryzen 5 2600x Zotac gtx 1070ti Gigabyte b450 Aorus Elite G.Skill 16GB (2 x 8GB) Ripjaws V Series DDR4 3200MHz WD Blue 3D NAND 1TB PC SSD EVGA 650 B3, 80+ Bronze 650W ... I had it all plugged in to my old monitor via an hdmi to vga cable (vga into monitor, hdmi into gfx card), everything was working fine on my old monitor. I bought an msi OPTIX MAG240VC 144hz 1ms gaming monitor and plugged it in via display port cable into my graphics card. I went to my nvidia control panel and set the monitor to 144hz refresh rate as I believe it defaulted to 60hz...15 minutes into playing pubg my computer froze for about 2 minutes without responding to any keyboard presses or commands so I force shut it down by holding down the power button. Now it boot loops into a blue screen that says driver irql not less than or equal.... ________ What I've tried so far -Tried to reinstall windows using bootable flash drive, but it goes back to the same screen -removed m.2 ssd and just booted into flash drive to see if it would even let me get to the menu where I can install windows on a drive, same issue -formatted that m.2 ssd on a different computer then plugged it back in and tried to install windows, same issue. -reset bios by taking out the battery and loaded all default programs, same issue -tried using my other ssd (2.5 inch), and tried installing windows through it, same issue -Tried formatting the m.2 ssd, installed windows 10 on it using different pc, and put it back, same issue -tried removing 1 ram, same issue, switched the ram slots, same issue, put the other ram and removed the first one, same issue _________ Please if anyone could help me I would appreciate it so much!

Hello. I recently purchased a new 27'' 2560x1440 144Hz monitor, Plugged it in, set the colors and image mode then rushed to play. Problem is I'm getting a lower number of frames per second with the new resolution, And I get it, It requires more processing power to run the extra pixels. But would it really be a problem for such a GPU as the 1070Ti? I ran a few games, some in-game benchmark tests and here are the results: League of Legends - Average of 180 FPS @ 2560x1440 144Hz, Highest settings Rainbow Six Siege - Average of 60-70 FPS @ 2560x1440 144Hz, Highest settings For Honor - Average of 60-80 FPS @ 2560x1440 144Hz, Highest settings These results did not satisfy me as I expect the 1070Ti to handle those game much better. so I decided to check some stuff but it all seems to be working just fine. All the drivers are up to date, GPU is set to use maximum power and the temperature is good. So I don't understand why I get such a low number of frames. Am I expecting too much from the GPU or something really is odd? I don't think my GPU is bottle-necked as my PC specs are: Gigabyte Z370 HD3P Motherboard Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-8700 CPU @ 3.20GHz 6 Core(s) MSI GTX 1070 Ti Armor 8GB GDDR5 HyperX FURY Black 2x8GB DDR4 3200MHz RAM 750W PSU Running Windows 10 Pro 64bits I would like to know if that is normal for the 1070Ti or something is off, I will gladly receive any tips or any kind of help. Thanks in advance.

So i wanted to play some fallout 4 today but i was frustrated by the crappy performance of the game. I started to investigate why it was giving me such a bad frame rate and not long after i found out that my GPU and CPU were on low usage. I have r7 1700 overclocked to 3.8ghz and gtx 1070ti also overclocked a lil bit. Fallout 4 was running on ultra and 2560x1080. My fps struggles to go past 45 but my GPU and CPU is doing absolutely no work Help pls?

Hi my current card a GTX 760 has just died and im thinking of buying a MSI GeForce GTX 1070 Ti Armor 8GB to replace it but im concerned that it might bottleneck. The MSI GeForce GTX 1070 Ti Armor 8GB where i live is 500€ the 1060 is 340€ and my max buget is 500€. My reasoning to get a 1070ti ( even if i only play in 1080p ) is mainly longevity but i woulb be ok with a 1060. I really prefer having the 1070ti that would last me longer, the only reson for me to go for the 1060 is if the 1070ti would bottleneck to the point where its a problem. I just want opinions on what should i do. This is my pc https://pcpartpicker.com/user/lemon89head/saved/yynsJx so I am having an issue of my game lagging/skipping not really sure, when I have Oba running, watching Netflix, watching YouTube, or watching twitch on my second monitor. The only thing I see usuage wise is my gpu 3D maxes out. It did it on my 1050ti and my 1060 6G. Not really where to go. I’ve googled and YouTubed until my brain hurts lol any ideas would be greatly appreciated. edit: should I just give up and put my 1050ti in for my second monitor? Figured I had a decent enough setup not to have any issues tho.

I recently upgraded my GPU to the EVGA GTX 1070ti and ever since then in pretty much any game that I run, there is very noticible screen tearing. From what I understood, I though that if I played around with the v-sync settings I could get it back into working order, but with no luck. Any ideas on how to fix it? I'm still pretty new to the PC gaming scene.

I managed to snag a Gigabyte Windforce GTX 1070 ti Overclocked Edition for £365 or $466.07. My monitor is 1440p 60fps and is paired with the Ryzen 5 2600 OC'd. Does it make sense to sell this and buy the now confirmed by Nvidia RTX 1070 or is the performance benefit (FPS) for my display negligible? Is Ray Tracing worth it or not? I do play AAA games. Thank you.
