So, i bought a gtx 1060 6gb, but i looked at the PCB and I'm confused, i just wanna know, is this the 6gb model or the 3gb one? I haven’t installed it in my computer yet since I’m not home this week

I bought a type c to displayport and I got it to run the 144hz yay but now the vg248qe cant play warzone because its not supported by intel and my nvidia only connects to hdmi and wont input 144 hz any way to resolve this problem?

The stutters are weird, I think that it's something with my graphics card. It happens in every game, except the witcher 3, and is at its hardest while playing GTA 5. I cannot predict when they are happening and have no clue what causes them. I have the newest drivers both for the chipset and for the graphics card. These stutters are not connected to CPU/GPU usage, they are both really low, CPU ~30% (which is expected) but GPU hardly sees any usage, only the VRAM is at about 60%. What are some troubleshooting steps I could take?

I wake up, turn on my computer (specs will be found below) and after browsing the internet for a while, i hear a familiar hiss coming from it. The hiss had happened before in what seemed to be random and very sparse times, so i never could figure out what component was causing it nor if it was even a problem i should be concerned with at all since my computer makes all kinds of noises anyway. But this time the Hiss was much more pronnounced and persistent, enough so that i felt the need to take out my phone and start filming my computer so that i could later ask in a similar post as this one what all the fuss is about and whether i should be concerned. Then right when i start filming, this happens : https://youtu.be/hcyVIbbFJwA Surprisingly everything was working FINE even after the pop. the graphics card was detected and all was well but i shut the computer off almost immediatly as you can see in the video to be cautious. Now the first thing i notice is my fans aren't working, so i don't know if that could have helped cause whatever that was. The GPU was bought exactly 2 years from the moment it blew up (so 08/11/2018) from a moroccan reseller and they only offer one year warranty for everything they sell so i don't think contacting them could do any good. I have not yet tested the GPU to see if it is still working (the computer is though) for fear of it causing some other damage, so given i am fairly ignorant in this field i would rather ask knowledgable people about the steps i should undertake and if there is anything i need to do to figure out/solve the problem or atleast avoid making things worse. Specs R5 2600 Zotac GTX 1060 6GB AMP! Edition 1X8GB Corsair Vengeance 2400Mhz DDR4 RAM I was playing AC Odyssey (2560x1080 - Ultra settings) and I noticed the game started stuttering very often (especially after Driver Update 440.97 could be a coincidence). usually the Avg FPS will be around 37-43. At first I thought the stutter is a GPU issue then i noticed the CPU usage spikes from around 60% to 100% for a second or two and the GPU usage drops from 99% to around 75% during that stutter. IS my CPU bottlenecking the GPU?

I’m reaching out to community with a bit of confusion because I’ve been working with computers my whole life, and at this point I’m just confused. Or possibly I’m just not doing something right because a number of things can be wrong in this situation. So before I go further here’s my specs. Mind you this is a budget rig so no ridiculous comments on how I could do better… I already know this and that’s why I built this entry level rig, with hopes for future upgrades, but fiscally it just fits my needs for now: ASRock B450M Pro4 Motherboard (Bios updated, latest AMD chipset drivers installed) Ryzen 5 1600 3.2GHZ (Stock Clocks) – (Wraith Spire Cooler) 16GB T-Force Delta RGB Memory 3000MHz (Overclockable to 3200MHz) 4x4x4x4 Config. 512GB Addlink S20 3D TLC NAND SSD (OS Boot) – (AHCI On) (Drive optimization off) 2TB Seagate Barracuda 7200RPM HDD (Game Drive) Zotac Nvidia GTX 1060 6GB (Stock Configuration) (Latest 436.30 drivers) EVGA 80plus Bronze 500w Power Supply Aero Cool Cylon RGB Flow (Full Tower Case) (I’m aware not the greatest for cooling) Uphere RGB case fans 3 in front (Pull) 1 rear stock fan (Push) Windows 10 Pro 64bit (1903) Cortana off, optimization settings from Tech Yes City’s video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fOO2J9_Aizs I have installed the SSD first with a clean install Windows 10 Pro 64bit with 1903 and all the latest updates. I had a different graphics card in the system during install, a Radeon RX560 just as a test card to get the board to post. I had the Nvidia card in my Dell OEM system at the time and planned on swapping them out, obviously. I removed the RX560 and installed my GTX 1060 6GB ran DDU software to remove all old drivers. I then installed the required Nvidia drivers(using Geforce Experience at first)… I know but I have tried uninstalling that but still ended up with the same issues I’m about to list. Having said that I can play almost any game on the system without issues, except Ghost Recon Wildlands, which seems to lag a lot but mainly when driving, and road textures seem to pop in later than usual at times. I have tried all settings with the game, uninstalled it, reinstalled it, tried it on my SSD, nothing but issues. (I’m aware that GRW is buggy af) I have recently encountered lagging issues with Apex Legends, mainly in congested areas. I have done the same with this game, lowered settings, switched drives, still issues. I have tried switching SATA ports, changing cables, swapping games between drives, overclocking my processor to 3.4 to 3.6GHZ voltage at 1.35v max(need a better cooler), overlocking the memory to 3200Mhz, nothing seems work. I have my memory stable at 3000Mhz right now and my processor at stock 3.2GHz. I have reseated the GPU and CPU just to be sure. I have tried every imaginable thing other than re-installing windows, which I don’t really see the reason or the setback of doing so, considering I have no viruses or malware. This SSD does have one caveat as well that I can’t update the firmware. I’m well aware I could get a better SSD (Addlink recommended by ScatterVolt) but I don’t think it’s the issue, simply because it runs everything else fine. I have had a little system pause though here and there for a second two when loading certain programs, and no my task manager is not at 100%. My HDD is brand new as well. So any feedback into this odd situation, I would appreciate it. Maybe it’s just Nvidia drivers? Or Windows 10 acting a fool? Any suggestions would help.

Guys I'm looking to get a cpu for primarily 1080p gaming and a little bit of hobby 3d modeling on Blender but mostly gaming. These 2 cpus are in my budget and cost exactly the same. I'm gonna pair them with a gtx 1060 6gb or a rx 580 8gb. The 3500 has 6 core 6 threads at 3.6ghz base and 4.1ghz turbo while the 2600 has 3.4ghz base and 3.9ghz turbo. I'm not looking to overclock them. Which one should i buy? Please try to give reasoning too. Thank you.
