Hello! I have an ASUS TUF Gaming RTX 3070 OC and it drops the core clocks when it hits 76°C. In MSI Afterburner it doesn't matter what I change the Tmep limit to, it still throttles. I have tried reinstalling my GPU drivers with DDU and also rolled back to old Drivers, but nothing changed. I also reinstalled MSI Afterburner and tried changing the Temp Limit via ASUS GPU Tweak III but it didn't change anything. In HWInfo the Temp Limit is displayed as 85°C but it still throttles at 76°C. I can see the Temp Limit Message in Afterburner and HWInfo. I would really like to have the temp limit a bit higher, as the gpu fans have to run at 100% to keep it below 76 and that is very loud xD I would be very glad if someone could help me out here

Hello everyone! Could you please provide details regarding the safe temperatures of the XFX swift rx 6600? the official website has no such details ( weird) The thing is, I have an SG13 case, max temps are the following: GPU1 : up to 75c GPU2 : up to 85c The fans max out at 50% rpm Is it normal? Thank you in advance.

I built my first pc and I'm unsure of why I can't control the fan speed. I see the same temps on msi after burner, zotac firestorm and nvidia geforce. However, I can't seem to control the speeds on none of these programs. I've tried manual and advanced settings, save/applied changes and the speeds stay at 24% I would like to slow the fan speeds down in order to stress them a bit to see if I can make the temp go up so that if I ever run into a situation where I see high temps due to high work load in the future, I would then know how to actually speed the fans up. I've recorded video of the fans themselves and they do not slow down. How do I control fan speeds on these programs?

problem 1/ so i repasted my gpu since my last repaste years ago was bad (whoops too late) and now ingame my gpu either gets to about 68 degrees or goes over 80. its so weird to me. problem 2/ the fans ramp up to 2200rpm no matter which scenario. its loud especially in my cheapo microatx case. i can set a custom curve for the temps but im hoping there's a software issue causing this that i can fix. softwares aren't super accurate and its more convenient to just let things run on auto. any solutions mates? Hello Guys! This is my first Forum Post here, so bear with me please haha! So here is my unconvential Setup: I am running an imac 2017 27inch with the i7-7700K and a Radeon Pro 580 8GB Card and 8GB of RAM. I use Bootcamp with Windows 10 Pro to Play Halo MCC and CoD Warzone every now and then. The fans ofcourse run wildly with the Tiny unibody design. While playing warzone i sometimes Encounter a full Freeze of the machine wich is either (what i guess) just the game being still in BETA …. OR the iMac running too hot and thermal throttleing It could also be that i have not enough RAM because 8GB ofcourse is just Minimum to Play cod.... I don't know if a Computer can Freeze because it thermal throttles. Normally it just underclocks and Nothing happens as far as i know. Anyways, i just played a Little round of Warzone and let HWInfo run in the Background: The CPU Package sensor read 102 Degrees celcius max and every of the 4 cores read 99 Degrees the GPU was at 90 Degrees. The Question is now: can/should i reduce the temperatures? I don't think it's very healthy to run it this hot for often… I have already reduced my Settings drastically to just 1080p and i m getting way more than 60fps wich is max for the retina Display anyways. Before that i used it at 2,5k and everything on high with Steady 40-50fps Thank you guys and sorry for the Long text! ps dont hate me for not having a gaming machine, i mostly Play xbox one and use the imac for 3d Rendering, Lightroom and final cut :)

What is the program that I see so many YouTubers using to monitor FPS, GPU Temps, CPU Temps, etc in their game reviews? And does it cost anything? And if not, where can I find it?

I have a Node 202 Build in which i control 2 fans in the GPU bay based of tempeture of the GPU using a NZXT Grid V2 with CAM software and then also control my CPU fan as well as a few more smaller 40mm fans in the cpu champer. I am going to be upgrading my build to ryzen and wanted to know if the software for either of the two boards that are my current options will be able to do this so that i could remove the Grid V2 from the case (every cm counts in a Node 202 build!) The ASRock Software i beleive is called Fatal1ty F- Stream and the Gigabyte software is Smart Fan 5. Im having a hard time finding info online for this. My build this question is for

So i had this problem last month about my gpu temp. post below i re-applied my thermal paste on my gpu using arctic mx-4 gpu temps: before: idle:48-51c (fan doesn't spin), load: 82c 80% and above fan speed after re-applying: idle:43c, load: 74c 70% fan speed after a week: idle:48c, load 79c 75-80% fan speed should i worry? please help my clueless soul.

Hey there! I recently just upgraded my system but I kept my previous GPU (1060 6gb) in my new system. I am having a GPU temp problem that wasnt present in my old pc. Whenever my pc is idling the GPU sits at 60* celcius with both of my monitors plugged into the GPU. The idle was not anywhere near this high on the previous system. I have my main monitor plugged into DVI port and the second on HDMI. When I unplug my second monitor the idle PLUMMETS to normal temps. New idle is around 29-31celcius with 1 monitor plugged into GPU. Also to add, when I turn the PC on like from overnight the GPU temp is low and will slowly rise up to 60 after about 10-15 minutes of low use. So I know this must be a monitor issue or something I am just confused and would appreciate any input. New specs are : i7 9700k, Asus Prime z390-a motherboard, gskill trident z 3200, and coolermaster h500 case(dont think its anything airflow related though) Thanks in advance to any input!

If you are experienceing high temperatures on your Graphics card it's likeley due to a poor thermal paste application, because my sapphire radeon rx 480 8gb was sitting at 89 degrees C AT IDLE! It was thermal throttling at idle and when I opened it I was greeted with completeley dried out thermal paste and there was little to none of it in spots. Now my GPU temp is around 50 degrees C due to a new application of thermal paste alone! Great tip if anyone has the same problem I had! Here's an LTT tutorial:

First of all sorry for my bad english.. I bought a gpu last month r9 270 from gigabyte factory overclocked.. i replace the thermal paste and while gaming or benchmarking i got 80-90° celcius i underclocked the card to the stock speed which amd offers but i don't get any major difference.. so i wanted to confirm is that very dangerous or i can go with that? Advance thanks for your help

Hello guys, I want to know that is there any possibilities of temping up the gpu because of underrated PSU (maybe my PSU don't capable enough to supply desired power to the gpu) Because my gpu runs hot (around 80 plus when I am gaming). I am using gtx 1060 3gb (blower style card). Thnks

Hi i'm having an issue out of no where it just started today. I 'm running an Asus GTX 760 DCUII 2GB one in my rig Everything was smooth till today . when i restart rig it gives me around 24C temp after leaving it on idle without any reason temps kick up to 40C+ . it goes up gradually like 1 degree every 30 seconds. i sent my fan on full now and its stable on 34C which is 10 degrees higher then i was having yesterday or since the day i started using it after reapplying the thermal paste. I didn't install any new application of game. i've checked surface level info in Task Manager to see if some Program is messing with GPU . NO nothing unusual. Kindly help .

Hello everyone. In 2016 i built myself a custom liquid cooling loop which today cools both my CPU and GPU. The loop contains a 240 rad, soft tubing, EKWB's small EK-XRES 100 pump/reservoir combo. I built it to make a viable yet affordable water cooling loop after seeing a few vids which said that a 240 rad could do the job. At the start of 2017 and through the year i managed to get good temps on both CPU and GPU. Now that it has ran through nearly half of 2018 i notice that there are lots of air bubbles going through the tubing, along with the reservoir not being "filled to the top" with water. This also resulted in me taking a look at my CPU block, as i thought there are lots of airbubbles in it aswell. When checking the temps now i run around 40C idle on both GPU and CPU. And when under load the GPU is around 60-70C and the CPU at around 80c. This bothers me since a liquid cooling loop should cool better under load. I suspect that it is the airbubbles and the old water that is making my loop show bad temps. I was told i should swap water since i haven't done that a single time yet. Which means that the water is older than a year or so. Along with cleaning both GPU and CPU blocks. My question is how i do it all? What is the exact process? CPU I'm running is: Intel Core i7 5820K Haswell and the GPU is: GTX 1080 with EKWB Water Block

I am planning to upgrade to an EVGA GTX 1050Ti Single Fan but I am not sure if I will need to buy case fans as I do not have any. So is my GTX 1050Ti alright without case fans or will I need them to keep it cool? GPU: https://www.ple.com.au/Products/628724/eVGA-GeForce-GTX1050Ti-SC-4GB-GDDR5-Displayport-DVI-HDMI

My GPU is literally at playing games running at 88-92 °C. I don't think that's normal. When nothing runs only windows itself and maybe chrome or something temps are 52-55 °C, especially when I read that people have GPU temps in normal usage at 30-40° C. Can I cool it down somehow or maybe install additional cooling to the case, or maybe water cooling on GPU (but I don't think that's a good idea because I mess up something and my GPU ruined.) I need your advice thanks. An additional problem is that it sounds like a hair dryer or vacuum cleaner when it runs. That noise is annoying and distractful. Don't know any solutions, tips? My GPU is Asus Nvidia GeForce GTX 970 (blower). sound of gpu at high temps.mp3

Hello guys My parts are: msi z97 , i5 4460 , 8gb ram (1866mhz) , 1tb hdd, 120gb ssd, supernova g2 750w psu .... and my GPU is the EVGA GTX 970! So I use MSI afterburner to monitor my pc while i do gaming... and if I leave everything on auto and I dont manually change anything! I get this results while gaming: GPU temp: around 70C, but reaches 75C sometimes at max! GPU Fan Speed: around 20%, sometimes it reaches 25%.. but not more! CPU temp: around 55C, but reaches 60C sometimes max! A friend told me that 70C gpu temp is not that good to have while gaming, because its too hot (even if it says its safe under 80C!) and that I should try to not go above 60C , to make sure the gpu is in good shape and not too hot! Keep in mind guys that I do game a lot every day, so the gpu is working hard like 10 hours a day! Also Im not overclocking at all, because I dont need to Also keep in mind that I dont care about the noise at all, so If it needs to be louder cuz of faster fan speed, I dont care ... i dont have any problems with my pc being loud So I have a few questions for you guys: 1. Is 70C while gaming good? Or should i try to get around 60 to be more safe( or even less than 60C??) ? Cuz I want my card to be in the best shape possible and not be too hot! 2. If I would like to change my gpu fan speed manually ... what is the speed that is safe to not go over? Like could I go 50% fan speed always while gaming...is that really safe? In assassins creen unity, I maxed all settings at 1080p, manually put the fan speed to 30%, and I was gettin around 65C,no more! 3. Also, I see that in demanding games, like Assassins creed Unity ... I get 99% gpu usage a lot! Is that completely normal? Is it bad for the gpu? Like, will it shorten the lifespand or is it not safe in any way? 4. What are the safe temps for my i5 4460 CPU! I get around 50-55C and sometimes it gets to 60C! Is that completely normal and safe? 5. Well this is not really a question, but Im just really shocked by something! A lot of people have been telling me here in the forums that its not possible to use more VRAM than you have! Some say that if you go over it the game will start stuttering A LOT or will CRASH! And others have been saying that you access shared system memory, but because that memory is slower than GDDR5, you get stuttering! Well I have GTX 970, which has 4GB of VRAM, with the last 0.5 of them being 7 times slower! Well while I was playing Batman arkham knight, sometimes I was reaching around 4.5 VRAM, and I didnt get any stuttering or any significant FPS drop! So whats with that? Am I just the luckiest person in the world or are some of you really wrong or..? In some settings of windows it says I have 4GB VRAM, and I have around 4GB shared system memory, in total I have around 8GB! So what do you guys think about that as well? All answers are really appreciated! Thank you guys, keep being awesome!
