Budget (including currency): 1000 € - 1200 € Country: Germany Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: CS:GO, LoL - basically eSports titles as well as AAA-Games Other details: I use 2x 1080p monitors, one has 144 Hz other one has 60 Hz. I would prefer Nvidia over AMD when it comes to GPU, however the CPU should be a "new" Ryzen 5000, if it suits the budget.

Budget (including currency): Max $2500, $2000 target. Country: United States of America (California) Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: After effects, various 3D modeling, mid-heavy gaming such as Risk of Rain 2, Grounded, Elden Ring, and Ghostwire Tokyo. A friend of mine is looking to upgrade from a garbage tire laptop to a desktop for gaming and 3D modeling/after effects work for school. I've never done a build focused outside of gaming workloads and my knowledge is rusty as hell so I'd appreciate some help. He needs to wirelessly connect to the internet, he's working with a somewhat constrained space, see attached photo, and is looking for a larger 1440p 120Hz display with decent color accuracy. Personally I believe with such space constraints a micro-ATX or mini-ITX build with the Wi-Fi built into the motherboard is the best bet here. Last time I paid attention a build like this would have used a high core count Ryzen chip with high capacity fast RAM but I'm unsure if hardware has changed much over the years and I do not know how to look for a monitor with good color accuracy. If PC parts need to have a larger budget allocated to them, such as the GPU, my friend is ok with a 1080p display. Given the market used GPU's are acceptable as well. Edit: Anyone got a good keyboard recommendation as well? I'm rocking a model M and a Razer Death Adder Elite and I'm certain this is not a good combo to recommend to anyone for gaming lol. He wants something RGB if possible and I personally trust Razer but I'm open to all recommendations.

Budget (including currency): $500 ish. Flexible if it will make a big difference. Country: Canada Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: RS3, Minecraft, Media Management Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): Hey everyone, Got this for free, and it is in good condition just missing the drive currently. Kind of a PC noob here, but it is an Optiplex 7050, and says 7th gen i& vPro on the front of the case? Pretty sure it will need a new power supply to run a graphics card. Also ssd's (I believe there is an m.2 slot as well as sata connections?), more ram 32 or 64gb? I'd like to make it a decently capable machine, but it won't be my main PC. Will live in my workshop / garage, for some gaming, media management and playback, and research for car parts and wiring diagrams. Other details from case: Reg Model: D18M Reg Type: D18M003 Dell Optiplex 7050 Tower It doesn't currently have a drive so I can't boot it for more info. Though I will of course order an SSD for it. What other info would I need to provide? Here are a couple photos of the inside of the case, including the ssd connectors and ram modules. https://imgur.com/a/ZGxdbWb What kind of graphics card could I put into this thing? Also what about maximum ram config? Sorry for what are probably very simply questions and thank you in advance!!

This is my first time stepping out on my own in to the world of pc building but I have already had a pc I got an old hp elitedesk 800 g1 for free and it has a better cpu i5-4570 but that's about it while I have transplanted my old PCs gtx 1050, my ram and my hdd I am worried about the stability of it's old psu I attempted to swap my cooler master psu into this case but the connections were completely different I would be interested in finding out whether or not I can get a better psu for this system or if I should just work with what I have the current psu is a 240w max (also I am looking for suggestions as to how to increase airflow as this case has only two fans and no connectors or spaces for more I am up to the suggestion of where best to cut a hole)

Budget (including currency): $1,000 (USD) Country: USA Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Gaming (1080 Max or Mid 1440), Image Editing / Digital Art, 3D Modeling (Autodesk Suite) Other details: I am looking to finally build a gaming rig (mid-grade) to expand my gaming library. I have been limping along with my Lenovo Y510P ideapad (4th Gen Core i7-4700MQ + Geforce GTX 755M) since I was a senior in Highschool when it was released (2013). I used it all throughout college to 3D model and game lightly when I could. Currently I can get by playing a few games at very low spec (Fortnite, Minecraft, League of Legends, ect) but none of them are very high demand games. I have wanted to upgrade for awhile and with COD Warzone and Valorant Beta out and the FFVII remake on its way (hopefully) I feel like this is a great time for me personally. The laptop can barley run Fortnite and I need more power if I want to expand my library. I have put together a baseline parts list but wanted to get suggestions on edits if anyone with more experience has any insight. I have tried to do my research as best I can but I fear that I am about to spend a grand and get the wrong part or things that don't cooperate. All said and done I want this to be under $1,000 if possible. I figure that is $900 for parts and then another $100 for tax and shipping. I also have plans to get a 2TB Seagate Barracuda once I get to using the system for awhile to expand the storage, as well as 2 fans to put in the front of the case if it is really getting hot in there. It seems like with the 2 included exhaust fans should be able to have enough cooling but I am aware that I may have to bump up later, which may end up being a rad mounted in the front of the case. I guess what I am looking for most is Graphics card validation. I am aware of the AMD issue with their graphics cards so that's why I went Nvidia. If all the AMD issues have been resolved I believe there is comparable cards to the RTX 2060 for $100 less on the AMD side which would be great for me to keep cost down. But it also seems like the Nvidia support is more robust than the AMD support, thoughts? If all the AMD issues have been resolved is there a recommended card comparable to the RTX 2060 that you would recommend? Hi, I have been a subscriber to Linus Tech Tips on YouTube for a year or so, but this is the first time I have posted on the forums. I am looking to build my first custom PC and want your feedback! The goal for this PC is to game at 1080p 60hz on as high of settings as possible and also be my work/school computer. I have a limit of $1000 (USD) to spend, including the cost of Windows 10, monitors, and a keyboard. The main game I want to play is No Man's Sky. My current gaming setup (a laptop from 2011 with a GTX 540M) technically runs NMS, but gets like 2 fps. Other games I hope to play are Overwatch, Shadow of Mordor, Skyrim: Special Edition, and Mass Effect Andromeda. The main items I am unsure about are the motherboard and how much cooling I will need, so your help with those decisions will be great. Also, pairing the Pentium G4560 with a GTX 1060 feels odd, but would it cause a CPU bottleneck for gaming? Let me know if anything seems stupid, won't work, or is a waste of money. (I am a noob after all.) Thanks in advance! https://pcpartpicker.com/user/Gazelem/saved/GQW6hM (?) Intel Pentium G4560 3.5GHz Dual Core (4 threads) EVGA GeForce GTX 1060 3GB GAMING Video Card 16GB of DDR4-2400 (2 x Avexir Core Series 8GB) Sandisk SSD PLUS 120GB 2.5" Solid State Drive Seagate Barracuda 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive (?) Gigabyte GA-H270M-DS3H Micro ATX LGA1151 Motherboard Cooler Master MasterBox Lite 3 (Windowless) MicroATX Mini Tower Case Thermaltake 750W 80+ Gold Certified Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply (1? 2? 3?) SilenX EFX-08-12 25.0 CFM 80mm Fan Microsoft Windows 10 Pro 64-bit 2 x Acer G227HQLbi 21.5" 1920x1080 60Hz Monitor AZIO L70 Wired Gaming Keyboard Notes I am beginning a 5-year PhD program this year and I likely won't make any major upgrades until after I graduate I hope to get a "Windows Hello" compatible webcam at some point Motherboard needs to support Kabylake without a bios update (I won't have another processor available to update it) I don't plan on overclocking anything I don't plan on using SLI/Crossfire, but the option wouldn't hurt I want two monitors for productivity, not gaming on both My work/school stuff will involve running statistical programs (SAS and Stata) on large datasets I am willing to drop to 8GB of RAM if the money is needed elsewhere in the build I have Bluetooth headphones I will use with this PC I don't need wifi, but it wouldn't hurt I am located in the USA I don't care what the case looks like I plan on sticking with Intel and Nvidia, (Nvintel? Intelvidia?) Edit: For those that asked, I am going into Accounting (with the goal of being an accounting professor). I plan on researching in tax. I don't know what my dissertation will be on, students typically decide in their third year or so. Also, one reason I want to have an Intel processor is for virtualization tech. I dabble in app development as a hobby. I also want to get an intel realsense webcam for Windows Hello at some point, which requires a 6th or 7th gen intel processor, I believe. Nvidia, on the other hand, I am just a fanboy of. If the rx480 8GB is a better deal, I will go with that. Edit 2: Thanks for all the feedback everyone! It has given me a fresh look at my build and helped me figure out my priorities better. Here is a link to my new updated build. https://pcpartpicker.com/user/Gazelem/saved/7gLHxr I have changed quite a bit: Upgraded to i7-6700 Slight upgrade to GTX 1060 6GB Only one monitor for now Down to 8GB ram for now Cheaper keyboard different motherboard with built in Bluetooth and Wifi Will use Windows 10 Education key from my university (FREE), upgrade to Pro later if I need it Lower wattage PSU

Hello! My friend helped me put this build together, but suggested I post it here for some further help. https://pcpartpicker.com/list/x7yjCy I'm looking to build a PC for both gaming and media creation (primarily 2D like photoshop, Clip Studio Paint, etc., though I also would like to be able to use Blender for some low- to mid-poly modeling). Gaming wise I would like to be able to run Overwatch at Ultra settings with 60-70 fps at least as a goal. I would also like to keep up with upcoming PC game releases but I'm not looking to hit the highest possible settings all the time. I'm not looking for 4k gaming either. I am in the US and have a budget of around $1200 USD. I am willing to go above if it will provide a very noticeable boost to performance. If it can go lower in price but retain performance I am happy to make that swap. In my build I haven't listed that I already have a keyboard, mouse, and a 27" 1080p monitor ready to go for my build. I'm looking to run at least a Cintiq or other brand tablet monitor from this, so being able to run at least two screens is a goal. Three screens is a future goal. I also would need a copy of Windows for my OS. My current build is a Lenovo Y50 laptop with these specs: 4th gen i7-4710HQ processor (2.50GHz 1600MHz 6MB) 15.6" FHD LED AnitGlare Backlight (1920x1080) NVIDIA GeForce GTX 860M 4GB Hybrid 1TB 5400 RPM+8GB SSHD I also connect two external monitors via HDMI cables and use an external keyboard and mouse. I'm looking to move from this to a tower build which I can upgrade semi-regularly to keep up with growing needs every few years. Any feedback is appreciated. Thank you!

Hi all, I'm planning on selling my Pre-Built Alienware x51 R2 to gain a budget and build my own pc. I would like to be able to sell it for $600, but I don't think that it will be able to go that high. This pc will be used for Gaming and possibly video editing. I will be using my current Samsung monitors when I move over to my new build, which each run at 1680 x 1050 at 60 Hz. If needed, I have an extra GTX 645 that came with the computer laying around that I would be willing to sell with the alienware to raise the budget. The case itself is in mint condition on the outside, with zero scratches on it whatsoever. There is however, a minor portion of the steel INSIDE the case which was cut by a dremel to accommodate a 6-pin plug for my GPU. I could also possibly sell this desktop with the 120gb ssd inside, but I would prefer to keep it because of boot times and also since it won't add too much value in my opinion. But, if it would, let me know. In the terms of the build I plan on making, I already have an EVGA 600W psu sitting around, and an EVGA Z170 Stinger (in box but untested at the moment). Would it be a better idea to sell this Stinger to buy a different board? It is the mITX version. I also have an H100iV2 and spare HDD's sitting around. So, here's the part list of my pre-built. Case/Mobo: Alienware X51 R2 Micro ITX Processor: Intel I3-4130 2 core 4 thread @3.4Ghz Ram: (2x) Crucial 8GB DDR3L-1600 UDIMM GPU: Asus Geforce GTX 750 Ti OC 2gb GDDR5 Optical Drive:LG Super-Multi 8x DVD Rewriter For Notebooks - Model GA50N HDD: Seagate 1TB Desktop HDD SATA 6Gb/s PSU: Dell Alienware 330W AC Adapter Please tell me what you think/send me any advice on what I could buy for my next build. I'm in the US! Thanks! -Tekkit

hello guys and girls of LTT I have been planning this build for about a year now, exploring solutions etc. I think this is a good build. If this gets the go ahead from the LTT community I will build this next month (with a build log thread ofc) I have recently bought a FreeSync monitor, so I am considering getting an RX 480 instead of a GTX 1060. Heres the PCPartpicker link: https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/pC726X Why DDR3? I have 2 almost brand new (40/16) 8GB DIMMS so i don't really want to buy more RAM, and DDR3 boards are cheaper than DDR4 boards. My RAM is DDR3L. Whats with the shitty case? its cheap and why do you have the cheapest HDD around? because it's cheap, and VMWare uses a ton of HDD space, and this proves that just 1TB of storage isnt enough for me, so I will have 3TB total.

My budget is 600 dollars, 700 at the highest. I want a build that I can upgrade the GPU and CPU in the future because I am getting into video editing and I need a computer for school so I need a cheap one for now but will be hopefully upgrading to a 1700x and a gtx 1070. I want to know if this is able to play games 720p 60fps low to medium on Rainbow Six Siege, Fallout 4, Witcher 3, and Destiny 2 when it comes out? So I want to build a new computer but I was wondering if I could reuse the only hard drive I have in my current one? I'm fine with formatting the hard drive but that and an SSD will be the only memory in my new computer (If I make it) and I was wondering if I format it, will I have to re buy windows and will it still work? Sorry if it's a dumb question, first time building a computer.

So I recently bought a GTX 1050 ti Sc but, I soon found out that it doesn't work on my pre built Lenovo H50-50. So now I'm not sure if I should make an entirely new computer or sell the card my friend offered it to me for $80 but I bought it for $150 and I haven't even used the card so it might be too little. Anyways, I was thinking that I could use my current 1 tb hard drive (If I format it can I still use windows?) and 8 gb of ram. Also, I'm not sure if I could re use my Intel core i3 but if not I'm fine with getting a new one too if I can't transfer a processor. Anyways, my question is what other parts should I get other than the hard drive, ram, monitor, and graphics card for a new gaming computer. (Preferably new parts under $500) Thank you! (By the way this is my first time fully putting together a computer.)

[EDIT] I’ve changed a few things. I also want to know of some in-case lighting options. Preferably blue or purple. I’ve never built a gaming pc before, only older 2000s computers. Just entering realm of gaming. Is this a good build? I’m looking for a white/blue asthetic, but staying close to the $1000 price tag. (Keyboard, mice, and headset, are all just chosen asthetic wise for now, just want some feedback on them too.) Is there anything else that I would need? Hello everyone! I'm glad that I can see you in this topic. I thank you up front for your help. I need help with building a gaming PC. I have a general idea what do I want but I'm sure it's not the best one. If any of you could please present me your idea of 700 euro PC gaming build, I would be thankfull. If you want and if you have time to do this, could you please do this on one of this two websites? https://azerty.nl/ https://www.alternate.nl/html/index.html They're both dutch websites, so if you don't want to fight with the language, I understand perfectly. I can only use those two websites to build my PC for some stupid reasons that I want to keep a secret. Thank you for reading my broken english this far. I know I ask a lot, so thank you for any help and advice you give me. I really appreciate it. Best wishes.

Hello friends I want to build a water cooled PC with custom cable sleeves. I am from Switzerland and I have a budged of 5000 CHF. I already have some pieces in mind: HyperX Fury Black 4x 8GB, DDR4-2133, DIMM 288 Corsair RM1000x Intel Core i7 6800k ASUS RAMPAGE V EDITION 10 Samsung 960 EVO 1000GB Corsair Obsidian 900D EKWB EK-Supremacy EVO EKWB EK-CoolStream PE 360* EKWB EK-CoolStream CE 420* Corsair SP120 PWM High Perfomance Edition (everywhere)* EKWB EK-XRES 140 Revo D5 PWM* 2x 1080* OK now first of all: I have no idea which 1080's are the best for my build, so please, feel free to tell me which one I should buy and why:) Then I would like to know what the difference between the Corsair SP120 PWM High Perfomance Edition and the non PWM Edition are and which one you would recommend and why? Also I don't know what I have to consider when choosing a radiator. The once above are just random radiators I found, so pleas help me choose those too:) Well now to the case. The 900D sure is a nice case but it is expensive and gigantic. So please post some cases which you recommend. Finally, I know the Rampage v edition 10 is the most expensive thing i could find so far, but it also is the most beautiful one, which is the reason why I even have the 6800k which i would like to overclock to at least 4 GHz, which leads me to the problem, that i don't know how many radiators I need for such a overclocking. I also are aware of the fact, that a i7 6700k would be better for gaming, but since I am planing to stream sometime in the future I think the extra 2 cores would be brilliant. Plus the build should be an enthusiasm build not a power only build:D So I hope I gave you enough information to help me out and I thank you for your time you invest helping me:) Sincerely MasterR8 PS: feel free to tell me the English mistakes you find:)
