Recommendations for a good 32 inch TV, that will also use as a monitor. I'm looking for at least 1080, 32 inch, IPS, HDR. For under $200. I just bought a TCL 32S350G. Even after messing around with picture modes and settings, picture still don't look good. Looks washed out. Even after I shut off all the processing crap. And was using movie mode. Color temp is off. I put it on 0, it have a slight blue hue. I put it on -1, it have a slight yellow hue to it. Whites are not white. Watching baseball just sucks. Looks like they they are hitting 3 or 4 pitches. All content have judder or stutter. Don't really know the different between them. On my older TCL, I had no problem with that. Except on Linus's video's. But all other video was fine. Sitting in bed using it, I can see light bleed, and like the middle top 1/3, I can see a dark spot, I don't know what it's called. I hook it up to my PC and do that ufo test. I put it on 1 ufo, it shows 3 of them. TCL may make good TV's. But that may seem like only at the higher end. This panel just sucks. I did get the color to as close as possible. I went and Googled my house and used Google maps and fix the color. I got it close. But then those blue recycling bins, was still too blue. Watching YouTube reviews, they used hundreds of dollars worth of calibration tools to make it look good. I was looking at Vizio and Hisense sub $200 TV's. Lots of reviews were good. But also lots of 1 star reviews talking about how bad the pictures and colors are. My older TV was a 720 TCL, and the colors on there were good. It just looked washed out when you look at it from the sides. That was almost a 9 year old TV. Seems like they just used better panels back then. Should I up my budget to like $250-$300? There's only a handful of TV's that I found that is 1080. There's a lot more 720. But I can see the difference between 720 and 1080. It seems like all these stores put the display models in demo mode. It seems that they may be custom calibrated. So they look way different at home. Also why is sub $200 monitors good, but no TV's? Hell, even $100 monitors are good.

I have this Samsumg Full HD S22e310 for a long time, more than 3 years, and about a year ago this monitor started blinking overnight, the image would load then it would get dimmer and then it would get completely back, the video would only return if turn the monitor off and on again. It happens to blink a lot of times in a row until it completely darkens. After blinking for a long time, removing cables and putting them again, turning computer on and off, the problem solves itself and the monitor won't blink a single time until i turn the computer off and on again. I tried taking it to the Samsung maintenance after this problem happened for the first time, but the monitor would return with the same problem, i took it to the Samsung maintenance 3 times, and in all of them the monitor returned with the same issue. If i turn off this monitor for a long, long time and don't touch it again for a week/month, the problem disappears for like a week or two, only to return again gradually (blinking 1 time, then the other day it blinks 3, so it becomes unbearable). I took it to a local store for them to check it, but the monitor wouldn't blink a single time when on the store, so i started to get suspicious about my house being the problem, i don't know, underground wiring, anything. Does anyone have any idea why this monitor blinks even after taking it to the maintenance three times?

Guest posted a topic in Displays
i am really torn between a lot of different monitors with these specs, i am looking for 75hz or lower cuz i have a very low end pc on a budget, i am looking forward IPS panels but i cant seem to find a good model, the ones with LG panes have bad vertical lines on some light colors on higher refresh rates and the only one left is Samsumg T350FH, which i do not know about the quality. Hello forum, I will buy a 27" monitor. I will probably spend 50% time on gaming and 50% time on text editing. I can't choose between 1440p 144hz 1ms and 1080p 240hz 1ms. Can somebody help me? I wonder if it's worth it to lose the 100hz for the sharper image. EDIT: I have no problems with running any game 144fps+ on both resolutions (rtx 2080ti + i9-9900k)

Hello, so I plan to buy a 4K monitor and I was wondering if my Nvidia 1060 can run 2 monitors ( x1 4k monitor , x1 FullHD monitor ) at the same time since its 2 different resolutions. I was thinking to run my old monitor on HDMI and the new one on Display Port. Old Monitor - VS248HR - https://www.asus.com/Displays-Desktops/Monitors/Eye-Care/VS248HR/ New Monitor - Dell P2720D IPS - https://www.dell.com/en-us/shop/dell-27-monitor-p2720d/apd/210-aulk/monitors-monitor-accessories Thank you.

I need a budget-friendly recommendation for a 1080p monitor. Since I'm from Argentina, South America, I need you to recommend me something from this website (biggest online store here): http://computacion.mercadolibre.com.ar/monitores/monitor-1080p_OrderId_PRICE The prices are in ARS and I can't spend more than ARS3.000 (USD190). I'll appreciate every recommendation, ... P.S: If you have any question about the website/currency or anything like that, ask me.

Hey guys I was upgrading my old system and want some suggestion for a Gpu. My current setup is Cpu: i5 2500k MB: Intel DH67BL GPU: Radeon Hd6750 RAM: Corsair Vengeance 4x2 HDD: Samsung 840 120gb + Seagate 1Tb Monitor: Lg E2041 (20" with 1600x900 resolution So i am confused between the GTX 1050ti and the GTX 1060 3gb version? According to http://thebottlenecker.com/ 1050ti is the best buy as it will not bottle neck with my cpu. But it does not have a power connector. And so i am thinking for a 1060 3gb.

Hey guys, Story on why I chose a 1080P TV with HDR instead of a 4K One : I want to experience HDR content on the 1080P TV with HDR10 support, But since most HDR content is also 4K, If I play a 4K Blu Ray Video with a 4K video player but connect it to a 1080P TV. Will it play ? 1) with HDR at 1080p 2) convert to SDR in 1080p even though TV supports HDR10 3) Outright Not play at all. Will having a 1080P HDR10 Capable TV enough for Youtube to play with HDR or does it also need a 4K resolution for HDR to trigger ? Which among the Smart TV devices should I choose to playback locally stored 4K HEVC HDR10 videos to a 1080P TV with HDR ? (Fire TV 2017, Mi Box 4K, Chromecast Ultra, Fire Stick) Android TV with Nvidia Gamestream and Moonlight Support would be awesome as well. I have a Gigabit Wired Home Network so Network support shouldn't be a problem Thank you guys in advance, if possible please do suggest the best add on devices for me overall for the best experience.

Recommend me some 1080p monitor for gaming. I don't have a high budget and I don't know a lot about monitors. Btw should I consider a Dell monitor or an Asus monitor if those are two good monitor brands? Recommend those too please thank you

I'm looking for a new display for my setup, and I can't decide between these two, Asus MX239H or AOC i2367-FH; I use my computer mostly for productivity, such as 3D modeling, rendering and image editing, but also gaming, though the graphic quality for gaming is not too much of a concern. My graphics card is a GTX 1070, because I'm planning on upgrading the monitor to a 4K on the short run. Hope you guys can help. Thank you.

Hi, my HP Pavilion 22fi monitor died. So I'm looking for a new monitor of the exact same quality or better. My requirements are : Full HD - 21.5" or higher Color accuracy : at least 72% NTSC Display type : IPS panel LED backlight Surface type : Glossy only Response time doesn't matter as I'm not into gaming much. Looking for bright, color accurate and glossy monitor for video editing and movie watching. I've looked many monitors but it seems that 90%+ monitors have anti-glare/matte finish but I prefer glossy screen for color vibrancy and nice contrast. Please recommend me the best replacement of my HP Pavilion 22fi. Thanks

Does setting a 4k laptop display to 1080p help with battery life and when the 4k screen downscales to 1080p, how does the screen quality compare to a native 1080p screen? When I downscaled my 4k screen to 1080p it looked like things were slightly blurrier which seems to make sense considering that I went from 4k to 1080p but shouldn't 4k vs 1080p be indistinguishable to the human eye on laptop displays? Is this some placebo effect or perhaps a scaling issue?

Hello, I'm looking for a new gaming monitor and can't decide which one to pick. I already have a really good 27in 4k monitor so this monitor would be purely for gaming. Panel performance (response time) comes before picture quality (it's my second screen), but if I can get something with decent colors and contrast it'd be better. I don't care about the stand, I'm going to use a Vesa mount. After few researches I ended up with this list of monitors: -Samsung C24FG73: 243€ -AOC G2460PF: 240€ -Asus VG248QE: 232€ -Asus VG248QE (USED): 160€ -Acer XF240H: 273€ -Viewsonic XG2402: 247€ -LG 24GM79G: 258€ -MSI Optix MAG24C: 273€ -MSI Optix MAG241C: 208€ -Viewsonic XG2401: 222€ Tell me which one would you pick and why. Feel free to give other suggestions. Thank you!!

Cheers! To make it easier for you, I resorted to a little form that'll make my needs easier to understand: Budget: Up to 165€/175€ ($188/$199) Usage: Mainly for my Nintendo Switch, I mostly play Super Smash Bros. and Octopath Traveler. May use it as a second monitor for my PC as well if it brings 2 HDMI ports but it's not a deal breaker if it doesn't. Monitor Size: ~24" - 27", looking for something with a width of 54cm - 60cm. Resolution: Full HD or higher Other Features: 1/2 HDMI Ports | Built-in Speakers | VESA Mount of 75x75/100x100 | Bezeless, if possible | Black ___________________ So far, the monitor that's caught my eye the most was the ASUS VP249H (5ms, 24" Full HD, 2x 1.5w Speakers, 1x HDMI, Bezeless, 1x HDMI, 54cm Wide, VESA 100x100), what do you think of this option? Another monitor I found intriguing was the ASUS VP247H (1ms, 24" Full HD, 2x 3w Speakers, 2x HDMI, Larger Bezels, 56cm Wide, VESA 100x100). I honestly don't think I'll notice the difference in ms but do you think it's worth it? What's your opinion about this display in comparision to the VP249H? I like that it has a better response time and speakers but the larger bezels puts me off a little. Then again, I've never seen either monitor live and it could be something I won't be noticing. Finally, there was one last monitor I saw: BenQ GL2580HM (1ms, 25" Full HD, 2x 2w Speakers, 1x HDMI, Bezeless, 56cm Wide, VESA 100x100). I like that it is both bezeless and has a response time of 1ms. The speakers are also better than the VP249H but worse than the VP247H. How's this monitor brand wise? I've heard BenQ had a great time way back when but that they haven't been doing as well lately. ASUS seems to be almost worshipped, on the other hand. What's your take on this monitor when compared to the previous two? Thank you for your time!

I've writted down long post, but possible information about monitor type of I choosing will helps not only me. Well, I'm choose Full HD 27" monitor for home/work/media purposes exclude games. For long hours work in a budget segment under 200-230$. I picked up on these models which are well reviewd and have ok and good reviews for theirs price and does not have critical negative feedbacks. All models with Flicker-Free tech. ALL LINKS TO MONITOR SPECIFICATIONS AT THE BOTTOM OF POST DELL: DELL SE2717H sRGB 95% Bright 300 Contrast 1000:1 Dynamic 8M:1 DELL SE2719H NTSC 72% Bright 300 Contrast 1000:1 Dynamic - SE2717H in many reviews mentioned as gamer monitor for FreeSync technology and 75Hz work available. Of course, it have IPS glow effect, may be little splashes on white background but it's relative and even with these effects many of people ranked it as 4 and 5 stars. Pretty beautiful look. Difference between this two models almost nothing. And despite on later marking (19 and 17) I think 17th would be better from this two (I heard sRGB for every day basic uses is slightly better). AOC'es: AOC I2775PQU (no gamut info) Bright 300 Contrast 1000:1 Dynamic 50M:1 AOC I2790VQ/BT 100% sRGB Bright 250 Contrast 1000:1 Dynamic 100M:1 Well welcomed monitors in reviews and feedbacks. Both are have vertical customization. We have pretty strong mediocre ASUS. ASUS VC279H sRGB 91% Bright 250 кд Contrast 1000:1 Dynamic 80M:1 Also I've found on some other monitor with lable DESIGNO MONITOR with extremely beautiful look. ASUS MX279HE sRGB 97.5% Contrast 1000:1 Dynamic 100M:1 Information about this model coming up in april 2018 so it's relatively new. Not many reviews on YouTube and internet, but it has very good reviews and feedback on little more expensive brother on this monitor, is ASUS MX279-H. Last is Philips, which is brand as I been heard has been sold to the asian company and if believe in gossiping they do not really do well with this brand in terms of quality. But I dont know well. Philips 273V7QDSB Bright 250 Contrast 1000:1 Dynamic 100M:1 Summary: I prefer to buy AOC'es , but which is one I dont know because of one have more brightless but another one have more dynamic contrast. In reviews they are much equal. I can buy DELL, but I heard some people really don't like DELL production. Also, for a exotic choose we have cheaper version (I believe so) of ASUS monitor which is labeled as DESIGNO MONITOR. Could you please me with some help on it? I do not ask you for make decision for me, but if you can recommence some of this models, or vice versa cut some models off it would be great. Or at least you can point me on what kind of version should I rely on choosing monitor.
