Hey, I think I have a problem with my PSU It all started like 5 weeks ago, If I try to play any games or I try to run FurMark, my pc restarts without any warning, straight black screen and pc starts up again. Temperatures are good, GPU sits around 30-40°C, CPU is 35-40°C too and RAM is 40-50°C(fresh drivers) I've also noticed in AIDA64 that my voltages drop below 11V when I start FurMark(when its able to start it without restarting after clicking start lol) And the 24PIN connector with the 2yellow wires(main power) is a little bit darker than it was when I installed the PSU Do anyone have any idea what to do? SPECS: Motherboard: Supermicro X7DBE CPU: 1x Intel Xeon X5450 (1x because motherboard has 2cpu slot and I'm only using 1) RAM: 32GB DRR2 GPU: MSI RX 470 ARMOR OC (4GB) PSU: CHIEFTEC GPS-500AB A (500W) Voltages AT IDLE (running Chrome&Discord&AIDA64)

Hi all, I've just picked up a BeQuiet! Dark Power Pro 11 1000w Platinum PSU. I've built my PC, it's all working fine, except I noticed one fan was always really loud. I set all fans to 500rpm in the BIOS and it was still there, checked again and it's my PSU fan. It's running at 100% speed constantly even when the PC is idle and I can't work out any way to slow it down or stop it. Does anyone know if this indicates a broken unit or whether I can change this? It's very loud and annoying for a "silent" system! Thanks

Hey guys, I recenty ran into a problem where my computer gets stuck into a restart loop [video attached]. On pressing the power button, all the fans ramp up, rgb light up etc but it never goes to the boot screen. I hear a clicking or "tripping" sound as if the psu has shut down and then it starts up again and repeat. If I leave it off for a few minutes and turn it back on it will still do the restart once but on the second try it will go to the boot screen. My specs I7 9700k Gigabyte gaming oc 2070 super. Gigabyte gaming x z390 motherboard. 500GB Samsung Nvme ssd. 1TB samsung sata ssd. Antec neoeco 650 watt powersupply. Thermaltake TH240 aio. 2 * Arctic 120mm PWM fans. What I have tried so far: 1. Reseating the ram. 2. Rolling back all the overclocks. 3. Resetting BIOS. 4. Resetting windows and doing a fresh install. I have not tried any hardware swapping because I do not have the necessary parts [PSU etc]. I need help with diagnosing whether it's an issue with the power supply or the motherboard. Once I do get into windows everything works fine. I have been playing Cybperunk for the last 4 days and the PC has never crashed on me or randomly restarted. The GPU is boosting normally as it would and the CPU sticks to the 4.6GHz speed under load, the fans are also running fine. It's just the turning on part that seems to have some issue. I'm trying to find out what is causing my PC to randomly shutdown without warning before it ends up damaging something, but I'm having trouble finding the cause. My build: Dell Optiplex 9020 MT i7-4790 16gb DDR3 EVGA 650w GQ 80+ Gold 500gb SSD 4tb WD Blue 5400 RPM I recently upgraded my GPU from an EVGA GTX 750 ti to a Zotac GTX 1070 Mini and since then my PC has randomly shutdown with no warning or BSOD/error codes. It did this three times before I sent the GPU (bought used on Ebay) back thinking it was a short in the GPU. I then bought a Zotac GTX 1070 ti Mini and the same thing just happened last night. Each time it's happened it's been after an entire day of usage. I work remotely so I'm on 8-10 hours working and then often 4-5 hours of gaming afterward. Out of the times it has happened, it's been after working all day and then at about the last (5th) hour of gaming. It seems to not matter how demanding the game is either. It has happened 3 times when playing Genshin Impact for roughly 30 minutes, after playing other games the rest of that time, but it also happened once playing Dead Rising 3 (a very low ask for this PSU, GPU and CPU.) This has also been with two different CPUs as I originally had the i5-4590 when this started happening, and it's still happening on the i7-4790. I've stress tested the GPU, CPU and PSU with MSI Kombuster, Superposition, GPUmem TEST, OCCT and nothing comes back in error and the temps an wattage stay within normal/safe levels. It's only when it's been a really long use day. I've ordered a PSU tester, but it seems like that's the likely cause. I just hope it hasn't damaged anything since it has OTP, OCP, OPP and OVP on it. The PSU is less than 3 years old so it's in warranty. My question is, does this sound like it's definitely the PSU, or is there something else I might be missing? Below is my case if it helps. I thought it might be my PSU overheating, but my case is pretty open and nothing else is overheating. I was also logging the system at the time of the last shutdown and noticed the GPUw had spiked right when the PC shutdown, but the wattage has been higher than this during normal gameplay with no issues. So maybe it is just a faulty PSU and the spikes trigger something in it?

Specs: CPU: i7 8700k: 4.7 Ghz 1.23v RAM: Corsair Vengeance 3200MHZ 32GB Mobo: Asus Maximus X Hero GPU: EVGA 2080 FTW3: 2100 Core, 8000 Memory PSU: Corsair RM750x I was on a LAN a few days ago and my PC was connected to a Power Line that died out of nowhere. I had a small noise problem before with my GPU but it wasnt this intense, only a slight noise that went away after I repositioned my PC. It could've been vibrations from my floor matt that is on a somewhat uneven wooden floor. But now it is that way whenever my GPU is hit with a load (doesnt matter if stock speeds or OC). The moment I pause a game or close it, the noise is instantly gone. I was wondering whether the Corsair RM750x might be at fault, cause there are many people that complained about general issues with that PSU on multiple sites and it might have taken a hit there. I did read that sometimes a faulty PSU could be at fault if the power isn't clean or so on, but it wouldn't surprise me if it is the GPU after all. General usage is not affected at all. There have been no difference so far from what I can tell, but the noise can really pierce through my open back headphones. Any help is really appreciated! VID_20200221_180716.mp4

If you check my previous posts then you can see that i'm facing this problem for months but still can't find any solution for that. It's that my pc turns off when i export 8k maps from substance painter, but i thought i fixed that by turning my gpu's clock. Today this evening when i started playing a games pc started restarting, but yesterday i played that game for 4hours, when it started restarting my pc i checked again and also that 8k exporting was causing my pc to restart, also heaven benchmark caused pc to restart,but running furmark didn't cause any restart. So i went to a shop to check my psu, they used cx600 PSU to check, and that heaven benchmarks, and 8k export didn't cause any restart, Also in that shop i tried with my PSU again, it first it didn't cause any restart at first, but at the 2nd try it did restart. So i was planning for a new PSU to buy, (i have warranty for this one, though this thermaltake smart se 630W isn't a great PSU) But right now i tried that 8k export and heaven benchmarks again to restart my pc,(so to be clear) but now it isn't restarting, also i played that game (RIME) for 40min, and pc didn't restart, And whenever my UPS makes a clicking sound pc restart, i technician i know said it's PSU problem, cause i sent my ups to fix, and he said his pc isn't restarting, so maybe it's my psu. So I recently recieved a faulty Psu from corsair the (CX550M). My PC would turn on for a fraction of a second and would shut off because of it. I know it was my psu because I tested my psu on another PC and when it was plugged into the old PC the old PC did the same thing. I was able to download my operating system but when I unplugged the PC because I thought there was a storm brewing and came back later and tried to turn it on the whole system would pulse on for a second (fans and led lights) and shut of. I was wondering, if this could have fried any of my other components and why my psu was faulty? I do not think it fries my motherboard because the led lights would still light up (the ROG heat sink and lines around the motherboard) when I plugged it in. The lights stay lit even when the PC is shut down (Not when unplugged or when the psu switch is turned off.) So does anyone have any clue why the psu was faulty and if I could have potentially fried some of my components? PS. I am not able to test my old computers psu on my new PC because the cord to power the cpu on the old PC only has 6 pins and my motherboard requires 12.

I have been having problems with my PC randomly restarting the last couple of days. Yesterday after an unexpected shutdown the PC wouldn't turn on again like all the other times and when I pressed the power button the fans (cpu+gpu+chassis) would only spin for a second and then everything would shut off again. (no beeps; no post) After testing the PSU with the paperclip test I thought the culprit was the motherboard, so I went to the next shop and bought an asus p8z77 lx2 and put it in my case. After plugging everything in the m/b the PC would start but the monitor was still black and there was still no beep or post, the fans kept spinning though for 5-10 seconds and then the PC would turn off and restart automatically and again there was no signal to the monitor or beep or post but the PC kept running and I could only shut it off by holding the power button for like 5seconds. And that's the state I am in now, bought a new mobo but still it won't work. I unplugged everything but the 24pin and the 4pin cpu connector, no ram no gpu no hdd , only psu and the power switch and the speaker of course are connected and still no beep . I really don't know what is wrong since the paperclip test worked and the mobo is new, thogh I'm going to buy a new PSU just in case it really is the culprit. help is reaaaaaaaaaaally appreciated mfg Martin specs i5 2500k msi ngtx 560ti twin frozr 2 silverstone 500w psu asus p8z77 lx2 enhace corsa geil (???)
