CPU: AMD RYZEN 7 7800X3D MB: ASUS ROG STRIX B650E-F RAM: CORSAIR VENGEANCE RGB 32GB (2x16GB) 6000MHz CL30 (EXPO compatible) SSD1: SAMSUNG 990 PRO 2TB SSD2: CORSAIR MP600 PRO XT 2TB GPU: AMD RX 480 (waiting for nvidia 5000 series) PSU: MSI MPG A850G Good Day! I bought a new PC and assembled it and as the title might suggests I got some audio/sound problems when I overclock (with EXPO profile) my RAM. Then I get some sort of stutters when listening to music or watching videos on youtube. When I disable EXPO I get no problems whatsoever. So my theory is mby the CPU or the RAM sticks are malfunctioning. Could there be other related problems or should I return the CPU or RAM and claim warranty? I hope you can help me. Thanks in advance

So I built a PC recently with a lot of help from you guys and until now, everything has been running just fine. I've been pleased with its performance and I was hoping I would never have to come back here for the next several years. But this morning, I suddenly found myself unable to get my PC to post properly. Everything was running just fine last night. I turned it off like normal, went to bed like normal, turned it back on like normal, but it refused to post. I thought at first maybe my monitor wasn't getting input, which sometimes happens, but after a quick look, it turns out that my DRAM led was solid red. This has happened before but only back when I was first setting it up. After a BIOS update and installing windows, everything was fine. So I did the normal stuff I could think of off the top of my head. I reseated the RAM, cycled each individual stick through the different slots and nothing was working. Short version is, eventually, I was able to get the PC to get to the bios with a single stick in slot A2. At this point I disabled EXPO and was able to boot with both sticks. Longer version: I noticed a few things. When cycling one of the sticks through the RAM slots, the fans would ramp up and stay on max speed every time I tried to boot. This happened for every slot for a while and with both sticks. At one point when I had a stick in slot B2 (4th slot furthest from the CPU) the fans cycled back to idle after being on for a little bit. This was something new so I checked the monitor, but nothing had changed. So I turned the PC off and moved the stick back to A2 (2nd slot from the CPU). Again the fans went back to idle so I waited longer. This time I got a boot fail on my monitor and was able to get to the bios. At this point I disabled EXPO and when I plugged in the second stick (into slot B2), I was able to boot to the OS and the DRAM led was off. After getting to boot, I restarted again, went back to the BIOS, re-enabled EXPO, and once more was unable to post. I unplugged the second stick from B2, leaving the first stick in A2, the slot I was able to get to the bios with in the first place, and once more I couldn't post. I restarted a few more times and nothing. I moved the stick back to B2 after a few tries, the slot I first noticed the fans cycling down in and nothing, but the next time I restarted, I was able to get back to the BIOS, disable EXPO, plug in my second stick again, and boot to OS where I am now typing this. So my question is...this doesn't appear to be a faulty RAM issue, or even a memory slot issue. So is this something wrong with my MOBO somewhere? Is something about the voltage inconsistent? Is this something wrong in the BIOS? I am currently using the FCa BIOS on my Gigabyte B650 Aorus Elite Ax rev 1.2. I haven't had any issues until now. My RAM (F5-6000J3038F16GX2-FX5) doesn't show up on the MOBO compatibility list but my MOBO shows up on the RAM compatibility QVL list. I don't know if that might be a part of it? This is my current part list https://pcpartpicker.com/list/srrCdH This is my BIOS page when I first was able to get to the BIOS with 1 stick plugged in. This was when I disabled the EXPO After I disabled EXPO and booted with both sticks of RAM without EXPO enabled

Hi all, I currently have G.Skill Flare X5 32GB 6000MHz CL32 in my system. I'm adding another 32GB to the system. I have tried to find a stockist in the UK with this kit in stock but with no luck. My question is, can I use another brand as long as it has the same speed and timings? 6000mhz CL32-38-38-96 1.35v TIA P.s Mobo is in sig

Hello there! A few months ago, I built my first AMD PC in over 15 years, choosing the AM5 platform for future upgradability and new features. Specs: ASUS TUF GAMING X670E-PLUS WIFI (BIOS 1636 now, started with 1408 or later) AMD Ryzen 5 7600 AMD RADEON Sapphire RX 6800 XT 32GB Corsair CMK32GX5M2D6000Z36 - 6000MHz CL36 (EXPO certified) PSU: Corsair RM1000e 1000W Currently I'm not applying any OC (only EXPO) Since the beginning, I've encountered numerous issues with AMD EXPO. My PC gets stuck in a boot loop, Windows either fails to post or posts with a blue screen. If I manage to boot, everything works fine, but booting is unpredictable. I found a temporary fix by downclocking my RAM from 6000MHz to 5600MHz and manually setting the timings to those on the box. (Disabling or enabling memory context restore doesn't help.) I patiently waited for a new BIOS update with AGESA Combo AM5 PI 1.0.0.7b, having heard that it resolves EXPO issues. After installation, I updated the BIOS and activated EXPO. It worked flawlessly the first time I booted the PC, but the next day, boot loops and failed posts returned. I managed to post by loading the default optimized settings. Why is no one discussing these issues? Is it my hardware's fault? Could I have faulty RAM or CPU? After the third BIOS upgrade and numerous failed posts, I'm considering selling this platform and rebuilding the PC with Intel.

Hi guys, I was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction. I’ve had this issue for a couple of days where on first boot I get a ton of blue screens and can’t even boot into safe mode. i managed to get the system to boot by disabling xmp but when Windows loaded I was missing tons of features like the use of the windows button and being able to use settings. I done two scans in terminal from a guide I found which didn’t sort the issue. so I restored windows from a backup I had and everything worked perfect all day XMP on and al over locked in bios. This morning I’ve had the same thing happen, on first boot after being off for 10 hrs tons of blue screens and errors. please help.

I have 4x16 corsair vengeance ddr5 6000 Ram sticks. I am using AMD EXPO II (activated). I am new to the pc world. I was recently told that if use 4 sticks instead of 2, my RAM speed will decrease. Is that true, is there nothing i can do to prevent it. Should i run 2 sticks or 4? Current Specs: CPU-AMD Ryzen 9 7900X GPU-Palit RTX 4080 Motherboard- ASUS TUF GAMING A620M-PLUS WIFI, AMD NVME-SN850X 2TB RAM- 4x16 corsair vengeance RGB DDR5 6000

Below i have attached some screenshots. Regardless of whether i am using 64GB (4x16) or 32GB (2x16), CPU-Z reports my memory speed as 3000mhz, Bios reports it at 4800mhz, and task manager 6000mhz. (The RAM should be 6000). Any thoughts why this is occurring? In the end do the Ram sticks work at the same speed regardless of 2 or 4 sticks? Is there anything else i can do to reach 6000mhz speed advertised? Is my RAM broken?

Hey everyone, I build a new PC (Parts list) and wanted to test it thorough. So far passed Cinebench, 3DMark and lastly I wanted to do a Memtest. But it just doesn't want to boot onto the USB drive. First I tried it with boot order, it always booted into Windows instead the drive, even managed to cause two different BSoDs after some restarts, irql_not_less_or_equal and attempted_write_toreadonly_memory. I had to reset the CMOS to be able to boot again into Windows. When trying it with the boot menu, it shows the drive and when I pick it, it fades a split second into black and kicks me back in the boot menu. After a while keyboard and mouse freeze. When set to default in BIOS, so no Auto-Overclock or AMD Expo, it still doesn't want to boot Memtest, but the freezes and BSoDs don't happen. I also tried some BIOS settings that I've seen suggested with google, like setting legacy mode, switching away from UEFI, but none of these worked. Lastly I tested the drive on my old PC, there it doesn't detect it at all on boot, and my Laptop, where it works perfectly fine and I let it even do one test pass on there. I really don't know what to make out of all of this. So my hope someone can tell me what the freak is going on. This whole thing feels like haunted

Hi everyone i have an Asus Prime B650 Plus motherboard and bought KF560C36BBEK2-16 Ram kit for it but whenever i enable expo and make the settings all automatic i cant open my pc back if i turn it off. I removed and put back my BİOS battery to open it for 2 times. Updated the bios to maybe solve it but didnt work. Any ideas? I also did bencmark test for it and without the oc Rams latency is 80ish and when oc it is 60ish

Build: 7950X3D, 4090, 360mm AIO and 3 case fans, sabrent rocket 4 plus, asus ROG x670e crosshair hero mobo Okay, I have expo one enabled and the PC boots and works perfectly fine, but I've had it do like a quick restart a couple times (no blue screen except like a flash of it one time). I ran Karhu and Prime95 both failed at the 45 minute mark. Prime95 says "Self-test 384K passed! FATAL ERROR: Rounding was 0.4999953054, expected less than 0.4 Hardware failure detected running 392K FFT size, consult stress.txt file." (Nothing but links to forums in stress.txt and i read changing CPU SOC could help, but didnt want to mess with it without proper advice. Also mentioned thermals but mine seem fine, but should I change the preapplied thermal paste on AIO anyway to be safe? I hope I didnt press down to hard or screw it in to far when installing it.). Ive messed with the DRAM Voltage a bit lowering my .005 and raising it, but it made it fail quicker. So I decided to post here. Is this a common issue? Is anyone else having this issue with this RAM? Could it be something else? Or is that sufficient evidence to say its the RAM since all my temperatures are fine? Should I ignore it since it ran all my games fine and wait for another BIOS update currently running 1415 (newest version) or wait for more new chipset drivers(currently running latest on chipset drivers too ? The only two times it shut off was randomly watching YouTube and it literally started right back up in the same spot on the website when I turned back on (nothing closed). Id hate to have to downclock it, but what do you all think? Thanks in advance. TTY soon PS. Im also currently running it still on as well. Is this something I should change asap because it could damage my CPU or system?

So I put together a pc back in 11.2022. Specs: Asus TUF gaming x670E Ryzen 7700x Kingsron fury: KF560C36BBEK2-32 Recently bought RTX4090 and PNY XLR8 CS3140 2TB After I put together the PC I have had some problems with its performance, mainly geekbench 5 score was 40-50% lower than the same cpu but Cinnebench R23 run within margin of error. So I thought stupid apple bias benchmark and ignored it. Now after I purchased 4090 I wanted to play destiny 2 which had some fps drops but was tolerable. Today however it became obvious that something is wrong, it dropped to 40 fps. I decided to run 3DMark and got 20000 score. Cpu was apparently the issue so I thought I will update BIOS, after such update I enabled EXPO and my PC was stuck at yellow mem light for 20 min. I cleared cmos and it booted normally. After that I tried all EXPO profiles no luck, I needed to clear cmos after each attempt. I decided to run the PC with stock config and it worked properly, fps in destiny 2 was within 100-140 at 4k and 3d Mark gave me 30 000 score. After all that I decided to downgrade my bios and tried expo on earlier versions, no luck yellow light for me. So I upgraded the bios once again and set expo values manually (with ought enabling expo) all I got was yellow light. Keep in mind that every failed yellow light = cmos reset. What should I do now? I am close to ripping my rtx out and giving the remaining components jackhammer treatment.

I was gonna go for the 7800x3d chip, but due to recent event that expo and SoC was the fault (if i remember correctly) I am unsure what i wanna do Was gonna combine the 7800x3D with 4 sticks ram of 6000mhz this summer. I aint no hardware expert or software expert, but will it be safe to use EXPO later during this summer or?

I recently noticed that there is more than one way to enable EXPO in the BIOS. The most common and widely accepted method is through the "Tweaker" menu shown in Image 1 below. An alternative is through AMD Overclocking>DDR and Infinity Fabric Frequency/Timings>DDR Timing Configuration shown in Images 2 and 3. Are we supposed to enable both settings and would this have any negative impact on the CPU thermals?

Quick specs: Asus X670E-F Gaming WiFi with BIOS 2202 Ryzen 7700X Corsair CMH32GX5M2D6000Z36, 32GB DDR5 6000 C36 "Optimized for AMD" So the problem I'm encountering is, I can enable EXPO from motherboard UEFI just fine, but if I want to enable Eco-mode and EXPO from Ryzen Master, the PC will not post (only post though safe mode meaning the BIOS setting are rest.) Any idea what could went wrong?

I've attended a lot of conferences, and one of the fun things I've seen done is the organization of events for the spouse of someone who wants to attend solo. This way one person can go to the event, while the others meet poolside at hotels, have socials in local bars, spa days, excursions into the city... Vancouver is a cool city with plenty to do, and I'm just wondering if others would like to take part in setting this up. If anyone from LTT Staff wants to help organize this formally that would also be amazing.
-
Without giving out too much information, what can you tell us about the kind of events you would like to have during the Expo? Will this be a full Expo, with booths from other companies in the PC and gaming industry, that you invite to exhibit at the show? Thanks for any spoiler free information you can pass along.

Hello! Any help on this would really be appreciated as it's been driving me nuts. The issue I'm currently experiencing is when I enable EXPO for my memory in the BIOS settings I don't get any monitor output and I see a red VGA light on my motherboard. With EXPO disabled the computer successfully posts without issue. I've left the PC for about an hour and the red VGA light doesn't disappear nor does it display anything on screen. Sometimes the PC will restart itself during this period of time but it exhibits the same issue after the restart. I have to reset CMOS to get it back in a working state. Its also worth mentioning when I first built this PC I was experiencing the same behaviour without EXPO turned on (since I couldn't get into the BIOS to turn it on anyway!). That behaviour being no monitor output and a red VGA light on the mobo. To fix that I flashed the BIOS with q-flash and the system posted successfully. So whilst this isn't an issue anymore just wanted to flag it as I wouldn't expect that behaviour out the box. BIOS v. F3b CPU: AMD 7700x Mobo: B650 AORUS ELITE AX (rev. 1.0) RAM: G.Skill Flare X5 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR5-6000 CL36 (F5-6000J3636F16GX2-FX5) in the A2 and B2 slots. Cooler: Dark Rock Pro 4 GPU: RTX 4090 MSI Gaming Trio SSD: Samsung 970 Evo Plus 2TB PSU: MSI A1000g PCIE5 1000w So far I've tried disabling memory context restore. I also tried using the sticks individually in the A2 and B2 slots (tried each of the two sticks in those slots by itself) but EXPO still failed. I attempted to enable EXPO through ryzen master rather than in the BIOS but that resulted in the same behaviour. I ran memtest for one cycle and didn't see any errors with EXPO disabled, though perhaps I should do this for longer? I considered reverting to the F2 version bios but I haven't seen anyone call out this resolved this issue for them, and I'm reluctant since apparently F3b fixes an issue with the 4090. Just looking for any suggestions at this point! If it's just a case of waiting for a BIOS update I'd be fine with that, but my concern is that one of the components is faulty and I need to RMA it whilst I still can.

Goodday everyone! I just realized that the DDR5 ram (KF560C32RSA-16) I ordered for my Asus TUF B650 - Plus does not support EXPO.... The thing is that when I was looking on the fury series on Kingston's site, they made it look like there is both XPS and EXPO support with this ram model, but there was a different section which mentioned specific models that support EXPO which I just saw... The ram hasn't arrived yet, but even if it does, I can't open the box to test it if I know it might not work and I have to return it. Will I have any ram detection/performance issues with this motherboard, Ryzen 7700x and Ram combo because of this?

Hey! So I was wondering, if I'm fifteen years old, would I be allowed to have my parents purchase a pass for me and my parents to go to E3? On the website basically it says video game fans are allowed in, so I was wondering if my age would be allowed? Obviously it's not like I don't play GTA or any other games..
