Hello, I am working as a Real Estate agent and currently driving my Lenovo Flex 2 Pro-15 that I bought in 2015. So it is very out of date to what is currently IN. And I am looking for a replacement that will serve me well for at least 5 upcoming years. And as I am working in real estate my work flow consists mostly of: Having opened at least 10-15 chrome tabs to monitor my properties, social media, workflow, some google sheets and real estate servers. Reviewing my media for specific properties (video preview in 4k (display doesnt have to be 4k tho), 3d visualisation preview, photo browsing) PDF creation including some pre print editing of files up to 150MB Adobe Ilustrator, Adobe Photoshop is sometimes used to optimize some graphic materials If needed I will use externam num pad and mouse to operate the device the way I like it. It must be sold in EUROPE - Czech republic Ideally 15" but can work with 13" as well.. I would prefer for the laptop to be as light as possible so that it is easy to transport between locations and easy to operate while showing stuff to a client. I do not require for the screen to be a touchsreen though. I DO NOT WANT A MAC (even thought I understand its strengths) as I am a windows user since 4yo and I do now need or wish to be relearning something at this stage when I am focusing on building a business... I am not looking to buy the most expensive OP machine on the market. I am looking to buy one that is the best suited to my needs and workflow. I would appreciate some suggestions including pros and cons to given suggestions as well as personal experiences. I havent purchased new pc/laptop for a while so I am a bit out of touch from the cost perspective, however I am looking to spend between 500-1500 EUR. If I find the perfect match. Thank you for your suggestions.

I transplanted a motherboard from an XPS computer to a new case. Problem was, afterwards, every boot it would warn me about the power cables through its "support assist" feature in BIOS. Is there any way to disable support assist? Maybe by using a diode or a resistor?

Dell XPS won't go past Preparing to enter BIOS setup
DecisiveOnion posted a topic in Troubleshooting
I recently expanded my C drive backwards with the EaseUS partition master and after a reboot, it is now stuck at just the dell logo or a 25% full progress bar when entering the Boot Menu or BIOS Setup. What can I do to fix this? Pictures: https://imgur.com/a/GANXigp Laptop Model: Dell XPS 13 9310 -
Device: Dell XPS 15 (9500) (Laptop) | i7-10750H w/ GTX 1650 Ti | Windows v1903 (64-bit) When plugged in, zero issue. On battery however, if I have BOTH the iGPU + dGPU enabled, using either Photoshop or Lightroom will cause the entire PC to freeze. If I move the mouse, the keyboard will light back up, but I can only recover by forcing it to shutdown. Win Key + Ctrl + Shift + B (restart GPU drivers) doesn't appear to fix it either. Now, if I disable either the iGPU, OR the dGPU, both apps will pick the enabled one just fine, and function on battery. I have also told both apps to exclusively use the iGPU or dGPU (Settings > Display > Graphics settings) when testing, and in either case, freezing occurs. EVERY single driver is up-to-date. I have tried clearing all GPU drivers w/ DDU, and attempted the following configurations: Dell OEM Intel + OEM NVIDIA drivers Dell OEM Intel + NVIDIA Game Ready drivers Dell OEM Intel + NVIDIA Studio drivers Dell OEM Intel + NVIDIA Studio STANDARD (non-DCH) drivers Intel supplied drivers + Dell OEM NVIDIA drivers Intel supplied drivers + NVIDIA Game Ready drivers Intel supplied drivers + NVIDIA Studio drivers Intel supplied drivers + NVIDIA Studio STANDARD (non-DCH) drivers In ALL the above cases, Photoshop and Lighroom freezes the laptop only on battery. In all the scenarios above, apps works perfectly fine while plugged in, OR when I disable EITHER the iGPU or dGPU. I thought it was a power issue for the GTX card, but interestingly enough, I can play games (e.g. Genshin Impact) perfectly fine, on battery, as it runs on the 1650. To top it off, the iGPU can run at the same time with ZERO issues (recording video on the iGPU, and gaming on the dGPU). Any help would be appreciated, thank you.

I know how to open my laptop, so let's get that out of the way. I have replaced the battery, it is 4 years old now, and went from 16g to 32g of RAM. Now I am looking to upgrade my M.2 SSD to a faster one. How would I transfer the files and boot from my current one to a new one? and any good new M.2 SSD recommendations would be POGGERS

I have been checking the Dell UK site everyday since the very hour the new XPS models were added to the site. This morning, the prices all went up by £150, and the "original" prices shown (showing a reduction of £19.99) have also been increased so this reduction appears to be the same, but they were NEVER listed at those prices. e.g. The top priced model with i7-10750H and 32GB RAM was originally listed at £2,949 showing a reduction of £19.99 (original price £2,968.99, which it also never was). It is now listed at £3,099 still showing a reduction of £19.99 from the "original" price of £3118.99. I'm not sure if this also applies to the prices in other countries. Unfortunately, I don't have the online presence to widely expose this. Hopefully someone in the community here or from the LTT team has the connections to do so. I don't know what else to say that wouldn't be rude.

For some reason, the HDR is not working. The Windows HD Color setting toggle for HDR is turned on, but it does not appear the option on youtube and other apps. I've updated the drivers from Intel and NVIDIA, BIOS, I did a system scan using Prompt Command, restarted the system after every procedure, and it is still not working. The system is with no hardware modifications, all original. Here are some pictures of glitches in the setup page:

Is the Dell XPS 15 getting an upgrade like its smaller sibling 13? And also will the new XPS get the updated Nvidia graphics like the 10 series?

This is very important to me as my job will most likely be paying for this. The reason I need help is because I'm overwhelmed and the deals vary with models that seem to be the same but slightly differ in specs. I almost definitely want the Dell XPS 15. It's sleek, it's sexy, and I haven't found anything I like better. Try to change my mind. If not, which deal is best this cyber monday? I've looked at Amazon, Best Buy, and Dell.com. They seem to have cyber monday deals, but the specs vary around the $1600 range. What I want: Good CPU for editing, graphics, photoshop, 2D & 3D work Decent GPU for work, rendering, light gaming (GTX 1650 would be plenty) 1080p Display is fine. I have no need for 4k, but I'll take it. M.2 SSD at any size (I can just upgrade it myself if possible) 16GB Ram (8GB would be fine if it's a good deal) Under $1700 USD If it's under $1200 I would happily take one at 1080p, 8GB ram, small ssd, etc. Options: Dell claims to have Cyber Monday deals but I'm unsure if they were already on sale and now they're just labeling them as such Amazon has quite a few options but they seem to mostly consist of the models with 8th gen Intel i7 CPUs. I'm not opposed if the price is right. Best Buy does not appear to have what I want but that could change. Any other places I haven't checked? It's also an option to use Amex points for purchase. Any help would be much appreciated.

Dell has done it again, they have a lineup of bad Touchpads on their new XPS 13 7390 portfolio, their trackpads comes defected out of the box with one of 3 main issues Dead Spot on the touchpad Dead/unresponsive touchpad erratically behaving touchpad specially with gestures functions and scrolling. Personally, I suffered from the last issue with erratic behavior that progressed to totally dead touchpad on my new late 2019 XPS-13 7390 (6 Cores Machine) I am detailing my experience with Dell in the lines below Problem DELL XPS 13 7390 Touchpad is defected on an out of the box PC, Touchpad was first erratic in its motion specially with the gestures (Two or Three fingers gestures and scrolling) Behavior was observed on all applications running, so no compatibility issue with any SW running on PC. Given that no 3rd party was yet installed (out of the Box unit) HID and PS/2 driver were upgraded same erratic behavior. HID and PS/2 drivers were removed and reinstalled but yet behavior either erratic or not responsive touchpad. Behavior was observed on BIOS and Diagnosis screens. BIOS version is latest BIOS version released by DELL Situation became worse as touchpad stopped working entirely, and being relocated outside the US at that time it took me 3 weeks to get DELL engaged and On-Board to resolve the issue after spending some extra to upgrade my warranty to fix DELL defected touchpad. Solution Replace the touchpadwhich is actually called replacing Palm-Rest as it turned out that XPS is entirely built on the palm-rest with everything fixed onto it. Technician has to literally to tear down the Out of the BOX PC to replace the Touchpad - Photo Attached - and then re-assemble the PC again.

Hi all, So, i've got that pc right there: https://www.dell.com/en-ca/shop/cty/xps-special-edition-desktop/spd/xps-8930-se-desktop/dxps8930se_x3_h25e And i want to switch the case and the motherboard so i get more space and upgradabillity. So basically i will keep every hardware i got except maybe the power supply and the 2 pieces mentionned before. What would be a good motherboard that would fit everything that i've already got and a case that fits. I will probably end up getting a noctua air cooler if it helps. Thanks!

So im looking for a new laptop for school and I like the XPS 13. Everything about it is great, except I wish there was a spec with an AMD cpu. The spec im looking at has a i7-1065G7, 16gb ram, and 512gb ssd and I love everything about it except that I could get more cpu performance out of something that is $500 less. Is there a laptop out there that has an AMD cpu and similar specs and build quality to the XPS? Or is there going to be a new version of the XPS with an AMD cpu anytime soon?

I got my XPS 13 9300 recently and I noticed that when playing audio, the keyboard produces rattling/vibrating noise which is very annoying as you can hear it all the time. This issue is not with the speakers as when I close the LID the Audio is crystal clear. Even when I place my hands on the keys which are above the speaker area The Audio is clear and no rattling. After some more testing, I found out that when the speakers produce sound in the range of 398Hz to 500Hz, the key rattling is much more pronounced and is clearly audible. Especially the Left arrow key rattles a lot and when I keep my finger on it the rattling stops and the audio is clear. The above-mentioned issue is clearly a manufacturing defect with my XPS 13 9300. Video(s)- link for the Issue: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLhc6BCxJleCQHGH78pFb74QtXpGkiADCd When I contacted dell the Support team they agrees that there is this issue with my laptop (Evident in the Videos linked above) but is not able to send out a Technician to my location and expects me to go 25km+ to the nearest service station (Which is a third Party and has bad reviews) to get my NEW LAPTOP fixed. The solution provided by support team is absurd and unsympathetic I refuse this as a solution, why? Because I paid a premium amount for this Product and now DELL is telling me they can sell a laptop in my location with Premium Plus Support but is not able to service it. This is unacceptable behavior and I wanted this to be addressed professionally. After spending much more time with DELL Reps over the telephone now they have agreed to forward a replacement request, which is subject to acceptance and will take upwards of 15 days. Seems to me that My Choice to Go for Dell over other premium competitors was a wrong one and now I must suffer the consequences of a badly built product. I am from India, buyer beware. I Recommend checking out the videos I made.(LINKED ABOVE)

Total budget and country of purchase: Budget ~2500 CAD - CANADA Do you prefer a 2 in 1 form factor, good battery life or best specifications for the money? Pick or include any that apply. Processor : i7 GPU : GTX 1060 (not less... if not not worth it compared to the new 9560 XPS) Screen : As color accurate as possible. 1080p but more would be preferable. (I don't care about g-sync or 120hz) Bonus : Thunderbolt 3 is a nice to have How important is weight and thinness to you? Weight 5 pounds and less Do you have a preferred screen size? If indifferent, put N/A. 15" or less 1080p but more would be preferable Are you doing any CAD/video editing/photo editing/gaming? List which programs/games you desire to run. Programming, Website editing and creation also Gaming! If you're gaming, do you have certain games you want to play? At what settings and FPS do you want? Well GPU GTX 1060. Any specific requirements such as good keyboard, reliable build quality, touch-screen, finger-print reader, optical drive or good input devices (keyboard/touchpad)? Good build quality : E.G metal body, I don't mind flex etc. just not plastic or not a lot of it. Good touchpad and keyboard : I use them a lot when I'm on the go for programming etc. Gaming I use a mouse. Leave any finishing thoughts here that you may feel are necessary and beneficial to the discussion. So I've been doing my research for ages now and I can't seem to find something that will suites my needs... I'm looking for a gaming capable laptop. I use it mostly for programming and web designing. I currently own a Dell XPS 15 9550 (i7-6700HQ, GTX 960m, UHD). Why am I saying that, because I got a bit spoiled by the Amazing color accurate screen and amazing build quality, mentioning the Microsoft precision touchpad, but darn the gpu is bad. I've check the alienware 13 OLED nice but way to heavy, also checked the aorus x3 but darn it's hard to find information about it.
