So guys I own a Dead Silence case already and I've watercooled my cpu, I'm planning my next move and that is to water cool my gpu only thing is i want to upgrade my radiator from a 30mm thick alphacool rad to a 45mm alphacool radiator, would anyone happen to know if a 45mm radiator will fit at the top of an aerocool dead silence case or would i need to put the radiator outside the case, Also on their website they only show the front of the case for the water cooling so they haven't put anything there about the top of the case for water cooling.

The colored area is of smooth-touch leather coating that's very comfortable to the touch, and how it's design was that it looked as if it was a seamless single piece that flows from the the top-back to the bottom at the front but it isn't. While most casings were designed to be most attractive at the front, the Aerocool DS 200's best feature happens to be on top. On the left are the audio I/O ports and the Power and Reset buttons while on the right are the USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 ports. At the center is a circular console, with temperature readings shown at the center while the buttons around allows you to change fan speed, toggle between Celsius vs Fahrenheit readings and also to change the color of the display. The fan speeds available are Low (50%), Medium (75%) and High (100%) with also the option to Stop (0%). The downside of having upward facing ports is that the openings tend to be a hotbed for dust collection. By now you would've noticed that the are lines going around the panel, that's because the panel is removable with a flick of a switch. The switch is rather tough to flick but don't worry about applying too much pressure as the build quality is good. And in case you ever broke the cover, don't worry because Aerocool got you covered by providing an additional piece of top panel cover. Neat isn't it? Within this package, you get a full colored (solid type) and a grille type. The grille type looks pretty neat, right? The grille type would work better for airflow but wouldn't work too well for sound dampening. Underneath the opening is a huge attic that allows placement of fans or radiator but not both. The entire top panel is removable so you need not fret about getting fans through the opening. As seen in the image below, you could even mount a single unit of 20mm fan. As for dual-fan setup, you have the 120mm and 140mm mounts ready. Here's the under side of the display panel. Besides the removable top panel, the front panel is removable too. Here's the under side of the front panel, it seems like the colored panel is removable too in case you want to mod it to something else. At the front of the main structure is a clip on filter that's placed before the fan. Aerocool included only one 140mm fan for the DS 200 which I think is sufficient but it would be great if they included 2 fans instead. I don't mind paying more to have an additional fan there. At the back you see the usual layout, it's a pity that the exhaust mount only caters for 120mm fan. It would've been great if they could design it to cater both 120mm and 140mm fans. On the lower half of the back panel are the PCI-E slots and PSU opening. The design at the bottom of the casing looks neat, I like it that it doesn't seem to have any rough surface that could damage the area where it's placed. Looks like this will be one neat feature that won't get much attention. Aerocool provided a dust filter for the PSU, it's something good to have but I think they should improve on the clamp. The dust filter couldn't be properly secured so it tends to fall out of place quite easily. The DS 200 is pretty roomy despite it's rather compact and sleek apperance. The clearance at the top is good, there's sufficient room to place fan or radiator but not both. In my case, I mounted the Cooler Master Nepton 280L to the DS 200 with radiator within the casing and 2 units of JetFlo 140 fan on the outer side just under the top panel. It took a little effort to get things into place but I got it mounted without having to make cosmetic changes to the casing, just lovely! At the front are the drive bays, glad to see that the 2.5" clips hold my SSD in place without requiring any screws. It's not totally tool-less as some bays still require you to mount drives with the screws. The cage at the middle is removable, this caters for placement of long graphic cards but the bottom drive cages are not removable so there's no space for stuff like coolant reservoir if you're into water cooling. The inclusion of rubber grommets to the DS 200 was a sweet move from Aerocool, making the case management aesthetically better. The motherboard mounts are generally in place but you'll have to add a few more on your own for ATX boards. Here's the back view of which you'll see that the casing has good amount of headroom for cable management. Aerocool did a great job here by providing a super-huge cut-out that caters backplate mounting for varying CPU layout. PCI-E slots. Being a DEAD SILENCE product, the DS 200's back panel comes with sound insulation padding. This padding helps reduce noise but it also means the headroom for cable management is reduced a little. Here's a closer view of the insulation material. Phew, that's the coverage of the casing. Besides the additional top panel cover provided, the DS 200's package also includes 5.25" bay bezels that cater for 2.5" cut out and optical drive tray. It's also neat that Aerocool packaged the screws with labels on the plastic on what are the screws for. Here's the spec of the casing. The fans provided run at 800 RPM. The DS 200 comes in 2 variants (Windowed and Non-Windowed) with 6 different colors (Black, Red, Orange, White, Blue, Green). More details at the official product page. The Verdict The Aerocool Dead Silence DS 200 retails at RM 395 and in my opinion, it's a casing worth shelling out money for. The sleek design gives is a modern contemporary look and should match your existing decor quite easily. The temperature reading, fan control and sound insulation features make it stand out among the crowd, features that are often not found in casings under RM 400. Hello everyone, First time poster and visitor of linustechtips, I have built 2 gaming PC's in the past and am gearing up for my third build. I am struggling however because I would like to give a shot at a mATX gaming rig. After the past two weeks I am torn with the question of whether or not I am setting my self up for doom down the road. I chose mATX because occasionally I will LAN at my friends houses and would like something more easily transportable but don't want to sacrifice performance. My fist question is about the case, I need something with great airflow and have been looking at: -Bitfenix Prodigy M -Bitfenix Phenom mATX -Corsair 350d -Aercool DS (Dead Silent) I want to ensure that during my sometimes marathon LAN gaming sessions with will not cause my PC to overheat to quickly as I have had a problem with that in the past. Also I have a question about wether an I5 Haswell 4760k build is good enough or should I just upgrade to an I7. I know many games don't use hyperthreading right now. I mainly play WoW, SC2, DOTA, and some FPS's THank You

In my mind, it's what Bitfenix failed to do; a well built and sturdy case. Good What do I like about this case? Aside from it having the features I needed in a relatively small form factor, the structural strength of this is quite incredible. The side panel that hasn't got the window feels strong enough to inflict serious damage to someone. The windowed side is a similar story however I can feel the window itself moving inside its mounts. Bad Now this is where this case begins to loose points. With it, I'm using a MSI 760 4GB and a 160mm Silverstone fully modular PSU. It was nearly impossible to connect the power supply cables entirely with the PSU installed. Even after plugging the 24 pin in then installing the PSU, it took me a good 15 minutes of filing to get the other cables in. The lower 3.5" external drive cage also is quite restricting when you're installing graphics cards and thus you need to install the power cables before putting the card into the PCI slot. The window, while nice is done so that you get a nice view of the graphics card with a lovely side of front panel connectors in orange, blue and green. For $125 with a window, I'm happy.
