Following is the post I wrote on Razer forums that was ignored, so I am reposting it here to see if anyone else is interested in helping. Please do not reply with razer products suck; if anyone thinks this is a defect, sure, but please keep down the ranting. I have bought a cabled Kraken V3 Hypersense last year late November, and I uses it on my Razer Blade 17 which I purchased in September. I works great in all other ways, except for when it makes screeching noises randomly. It is most likely to make this noise when my laptop is underload, but it happens most frequently when I have a sound recording software open such as Discord, OBS, or even the windows sound settings. Here are the list of things I did to try to fix it: -Reinstalling synapses (didn't keep the logs, sorry, willing to reinstall again tho) -Reinstalling audio and usb drives -Switching usb ports -Unplugging the detachable mic -Trying on a different computer (mac, did not crackle, but I also didn't open a sound recording software or test extensively, my Razer laptop never crackled before with audio jack headsets tho) -Using a powered usb hub -Attaching a ferrite bead to the cable -Disabling exclusive mode, audio enhancements, and unused audio devices in windows sound settings -Waiting for new windows update The following video have some samples I recorded using an external mic placed in the ear cups (the noises cannot be recorded from within the laptop using software.) I was playing a moderately intensive game while being on Discord at the same time; all the noises were captured within the span of an hour, occurring 5-10 minutes apart. I have not been able to find specific cases and noises like these anywhere else. If anyone can help fix this problem, it would be great, and I hope this may also be of help to anyone with the same problem.

Hi, I recently had this issue where in any audio played (usually videos online and offline) there would be audio micro-stuttering (persisting after clean install, transitioned from windows 10 to windows 11 and still the same issue), The issue happens once in a while but is noticeable enough to cause alarm and would like to figure out what is the cause of it and how to fix it. Audio gets stuck for a split second (usually the same sound is heard for that split second), it feels unsettling but nothing too huge and it is hard to describe exactly how it sounds like other than that it's the same type of sound regardless of audio played. I do not know if I noticed it in games since I do not play much, however I recall hearing it also in a specific game, on my previous windows installation (specifically on Overcooked 2 while moving the platforms with the virtual joystick inside the game level if you are familiar), other games I did not notice the effect. I recently downloaded the Realtek Drivers from Asus (which comes with an audio console software) and I still notice the issue. (Specs can be found on profile, except currently windows 11 are installed) I have installed all the latest and recommended drivers from the Asus and Nvidia websites. Thanks in advance.

Capture Card, Audio Interface, Dj Controller With Audio Interface
Pownmonkey posted a topic in Audio
Okay here it goes, I have: -Scarlett 2i2 audio interface -Traktor kontrol S4 MK2 (with audio interface built in) -Razer Ripsaw -Sony A6000 The setup is: Using the S4 as my dj controller for music streaming, I take the Audio main output from the S4 and feed it into the Input from the 2i2. That's for recording the audio into OBS (since obs won't recognise the controller from Native Instruments Natively (see what I did there?)). Then I have my Sony A6000 set on clean HDMI output, taking a Micro HDMI to HDMI to the HDMI IN on the Ripsaw. The ripsaw is connected via USB 3.0 to my pc. I get the video feed, CRISPY AF. And I get the audio feed from the 2i2 into OBS. Here is the problem: When I turn on the video feed in obs the audio from the S4 is stuttering. When I play it through the 2i2 only, (so not using the main output from the S4) there is no problem. I never had this problem when I was using 2 Webcams... Are my USB's saturated? Is there not enough bandwidth? Is it a grounding issue (the camera works on a battery atm). Could it be that the USB controllers are not giving enough power??? I used latencymon, and it showed me (upon opening the A6000 in OBS as a video feed) very high numbers which means stuttering audio... As soon as I disconnect the camera from the capture card (with the capture card still running) it's all fine... Should I buy another capture card? Should I buy a powered USB hub? Should I buy an internal capture card?? Kind of allready tried everything and not really willing to spend more money unless it's really necessary.. Hope some of you techies can help me out here!! Grtz!!! -
I recently built a machine with an h115i aio from corsair. There is an ever so slight crackle that can be heard coming from the aio when the fans are at low rpm. It's my first build so I'm trying to see if this is normal behavior or if I should have the cooler replaced while I'm still within the return window of 30days. Anyone experienced this before? I sit about 3ft away from the case if that helps.

I bought a second hand pc a couple of days ago and I'm noticing a crackle coming from my PSU. Do I need to be worried about it? I've added an audio fragment. The PSU is a Seasonic S12II-520Bronze. Thanks in advance, Olivier WhatsApp Audio 2018-07-19 at 20.18.30.mp4

Greetings, I recently installed this board and I've noticed a few minor issues that I didn't experience with my previous mobo. After waking from sleep, any sort of audio will be accompanied by a sort of crackling or popping sound. In addition, I notice my HWmonitor readings go way out of whack and display almost 5 times as many readings as it normally would. (With most being duplicates, based on the numbers). Both of these odd problems only occur after resuming from sleep. If I restart or perform a cold boot, the issues are not present. As such, I figure this is most likely a software bug rather than a hardware defect, right? Does anyone else with this board experience such odd behavior? Would a bios update potentially fix this, or should I look at picking up a soundcard? -[Build]- Asus Prime Z270-A i7 6700k Skylake G.Skill 2400 DDR4 16GB ram EVGA 750w Supernova PSU

I recently started having audio problems only through my headphones. Crackling and popping sounds during Youtube, Video files playback, even music and games. Pretty much everywhere. My first guess was that I had bad drivers because I had recently updated the Realtek high definition drivers from the Asus website (Z170 Pro gaming). So I installed an older version and found that there were no more problems but they came back the next day. So I tried the basic drivers from the Realtek website. Problem solved again. But they were back again the next day. That's when I noticed that any drivers reinstall did fix the problem but only temporarily. After thinking about everything that could have changed on my PC from the moment I started having these issues, I remembered that they started just after the Windows 10 Creators update. Has anybody else had this problem or anything similar? Any solutions? And I have already tried doing a few things that I found when I googled this but none worked. 1. I reinstalled the drivers, old & new, like I said but it only temporarily fixes the issue. 2. Checked latency with Latencymon. No issues there. 3. Different ports. Both front and back no difference. 4. I don't have any Asus audio software installed (Sonic Radar etc.) 5. Turned off real time programs. HWinFO 64 etc. No change. 6. Disabled all audio enhancements, nothing.

Hello everyone. I recently noticed a problem with the sound in my headphones (Kingston HyperX Cloud - the first one) where the sound after I plug in my headphones becomes kinda 'muffled' and a little muted (meaning I barely hear something). After a little experimentation, I noticed that there is a crackling sound when trying to plug in the headphones in the jack port and that the sound muffling I said above apparently happens when the plug is plugged all the way in, and that the sound is back to normal when I pull the plug out very little, but if I do plug it out a little , then I hear static when I'm not doing anything. I also hear crackle when moving some way the cable too. I really tried to see if I can fix my problem through Google, but unfortunately since English is not my native language I was having a bit of difficulty finding the solution. Some of the things I tried are: - Plug the headphones in other ports (the headphones were always plugged in the control box here:http://media.kingston.com/support/downloads/Cloud_Headset_UserManual.pdf (Page 5)), the back port, the front (chassis) port, the problem is still there, but it seems the sound is WAY more muted/muffled with the control box then directly with other ports. - Tried blowing out the dust from the plug and ports (didn't try the alcohol method yet where you clean it with very little alcohol both the ports and the plugs) still the same problem. I really don't know what caused this problem to appear all of a sudden, it was working normally and great one day and then the next one I find myself dealing with some crackling and muffled noises. If anyone has any suggestions hopefully you can help me. If anyone needs any additional information which I might have left out simply ask. Thanks in forward.

I've owned these Astro a40s for about 4 years now and I think that they are now going out on me. For about two weeks now I have heard this crackle sound every time someone talks via Steam group voice chat (including myself). One of my friends in the chat room does has a terrible mic, but I have checked this problem by trying my friends pair and found that this is not the case. Everything else I use the headphones (TV, Movies, and playing games by myself) the crackle doesn't happen at all. -Although I have notice a lot of crackle on a recent Linus video about the next gen consoles: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IHogNolObqk For some reason, the crackle happens when the gameplay (staring at 2:51) is shown and Linus is doing commentary with his mic. Are my Astros busted? If it helps I use integrated sound with my msi g43 gaming motherboard using the front audio jacks on a corsair 400r. I use the slitter cables with my Astros as well.

So whenever i mute my headset the crackle kicks in. *crackle* crackle* crackle* every second. I submitted a ticket to Corsair to see if they can investigate the issue further. Just wanting to know what do you suggest i do in the mean time? ive tried different USB ports but the crackle re appears (and i'm pretty sure that it isn't my new 750D)

Ok, my problem is very convoluted so try to bear with me. So I was using Razer Kraken headphones which were my roommates old ones, been using them for around 4 months-ish they were fine, couple of weeks ago I noticed when in games more noticeably that sometimes there is a little crackle, i'm not sure what's triggers it, seems to be random now and again. So I went about trying to fix this issue, now bearing in mind I was having this issue before my first thought was audio drivers. So I did a DDU and got rid of the audio driver and downloaded the latest one on my MoBos website (realtek R audio), long story short stutters still there, downloaded a different one (relteak High Definiton audio), still there. I can hear the crackle also when moving about the volume slider on windows (and anything else with a volume slider) I've uninstalled and deleted the drivers many times, twice through DDU and downloaded a few different ones and none of them worked. I did notice sometimes the crackle would be when I turned around quickly in a game but this is not always the cause of the crackles. I tested my Razer Kraken on my roommates computer and they seemed fine, no crackles, so can't be headphones. I tried his new headphones (JBL quantum 300s) and his crackle on my PC and not his My next thought is that maybe its my Mobo port on the back so i thought I should try the front jack to see if it would work, however i discovered that after a year and half of having this PC that it doesn't work (Ive been using bluetooth for a year and 3 months so i never noticed). I should really check the cables inside the PC to make sure of this, that its properly connected. Anyways, my roommates new headphones are USB so I thought that maybe if i test them to see if it was the Mobo port. So he has JBL quantum 300s I think, and yes they fixed the crackle however they introduced a new problem, the new audio starts with a delay. Whenever there is a gap / silence for just a few seconds, it's like the headphones go in 'sleep / standby' mode. So whenever I play a YouTube audio, or an audio / a video on my PC, the first 2-3 seconds are always skipped. A saw another reddit post about this seems like an issue with the JBL quantum 300's. So I thought if i buy another USB headset it should fix the problem, So I brought the MSI DS502, this has amazing audio especially with Razer Surround sound 7.1, however this has crackles on BOTH mine and AND my room mates PC. So, from this I gathered (correct me if im wrong) It can't be the headphones, nor the drivers. I guess something with my PC although the MSI ones did crackle on his. I watched youtube vids and other sources for many fixes, tried them and none fixed the issue. I've disabled audio enhancements, the exclusive app option. Honestly I can't remember most of them because I did alot of the fixes in one go. I've seen a few reddit posts about this issue and i think I might have the same issue as some of them https://www.reddit.com/r/Windows10/comments/p1m5zi/is_there_any_news_of_fixing_the_infamous_audio/ ^ This is just one but theyre a few others, im too lazy to go through my history to find all of them. Some people thing this is a windows issue possbily brought about but a new update. This would explain how the audio crackle developed after some time. I know I can't uninstalled updates but when I go on the list of updates to uninstall there are quite alot and i cant remember when this problem started and also I dont know if it would make my system unstable. I guess I should try picking up an external sound card to see if it fixes the issue. Please help me, any questions please ask. Its driving me crazy
