I have a ryzen 5 3600 cpu and i was wondering if upgrading to a ryzen 7 5700x was worth it. Could I get better gaming performance with 2 more cores, 4 more threads and a higher boost clock?

Hi! I have been thinking about upgrading my pc, I currently have a 1080ti paired with a 2600@3.9ghz on an MSI B450 TOMAHAWK and 16gb of ram at 3200mhz. I play Escape From Tarkov and I have seen that this is a CPU demanding game and GPU is not that important, so my question is: Would buying a 5800x3d be too much for this GPU or a pretty good choice?

Hello fellow gamers/ PC enthusiasts, I seek your assistance once more I was itching for the past 2-3 weeks to upgrade from my 22' inch 2m 60hz monitor to 144hz 1ms 1440p 27' (probably AOC 27' VA one), but I think, before that, I should probably upgrade my parts, so therefore: 1. i currently own a very old pc which has a lga 775 motherboard , intel core 2 duo e6420 cpu , 2 gb ram 800mhz(max motherboard support), wd2500 ide hard drive (250 gb) i am already upgrading to core 2 duo E8500, what else i can upgrade so it can run smoothly for basic task like (surfing web, running softwares like {krita ,pencil 2d , medibang , sketch book }, some multitasking ) should i go for a 2.5 inch sata ssd or a gpu (either of them ) please also tell me that i can actually upgrade or not specially regard ssd

Ok, since im here now i might aswell ask as much i can to learn more about pcs, im new and this is my second post. So my main gaming rig has a Ryzen 5 3600 I got it quite cheap this January, i upgraded from an i7 4771 with a gtx 1060 6gb that somehow broke down, or at least that's what the tech guy told me, right now i own an RTX 3060Ti. I had to go for the Ryzen 5 3600 since i spent ALL MY MONEY on the graphics card of course, even my motherboard is quite crappy (Gigabyte b450 ds3h v2) So i was thinking of upgrading soon, perhaps December i could get a new CPU and motherboard. The thing is that i wanted to upgrade to a Ryzen 5 5600X but a friend told me that it wasn't worth it and that i should at least go for a Ryzen 7 5800X so the upgrade would make sense. Sadly the Ryzen 7 5800X is quite expensive in my country and i was wondering IF the Ryzen 7 3700X was a better upgrande than the Ryzen 5 5600X, perhaps somewhere in between R5 5600x and R7 5800x? or is it even a worse deal? I feel like my cpu is not as good as my graphics card and that i could get much better gaming performance with a better cpu. What do you guys think? is it ok if i just keep the R5 3600 till i can save more money for the R7 5800X? (it will take a while) or am i missing out too much? if thats the case should i go sooner for a R7 3700X or a R5 5600X? About the motherboard i dont care much about fancy motherboards i guess, i wanted to just upgrade to a b550, perhaps the ASUS TUF Gaming b550 plus? (My gpu is ASUS TUF gaming rtx 3060Ti so theyd match) Or is there any other nice b550 motherboard around that price that would be better?

Hi all, Just found this group via Techquickie's Youtube page & he seems to GUARANTEE I will find the answer here so I thought i'd give it a go! I have an old Asus Essentio CM6730 bought from new with an Intel Celeron G530 2 core CPU as it came (about 10 years ago now). This pc runs great & all I've ever done in that time is upgrade the Ram, GPU & the HDD. I want to upgrade the CPU for more performance (pc is only used for image editing currently but want to start doing some video editing on it). I don't use for gaming at all. I'm having trouble figuring out what Intel CPU will be compatible after hours of looking on the Asus site, Benchmark & loads of Youtube videos I'm completely lost! These are the specs that I have & would sooo appreciate any help here so I can get this old faithful pc up to speed (pardon the pun)! Asus Essentio CM6730 - shop bought in the UK around 2010. Hello, I recently upgraded my pc from a ryzen 3 1200 to a ryzen 5 3600. Other pc spec are: Mobo - Asrock AB350M pro4 Ram - 2x4gb ddr4 corsair vengeance 3000mhz gpu - msi armor rx580 4gb psu - corsair cx550m storage - samsung 970 evo 250gb (boot) seagate barracuda 1tb (storage) Before doing that I obviously upgraded the motherboard bios from asrock website and after the swapping I also downloaded new chipset drivers from amd website and upgraded my gpu drivers. I also uninstalled the old cpu drivers from control panel. After some time I'm getting constant issues with video output and bios: 1. Bios takes a long time and keeps getting stuck sometimes, needing me to press the reset button. 2. When pc goes in sleep mode (either by manual or automatic) for at least 1 hour or so, after that I'm unable to wake it up and receive no video signal whatsoever, I need then to press the reset button or just turn off. 3. Weird video glitches (rare, once a week or 2) and video output turning off and then on after a few seconds. Apart from these things the computer behaves perfectly with games and other intense loads, and the performance is as expected (cpu temps always under 70C under load with stock cooler). I have Vaio laptop that's aging horribly. 7 years+. It needs a vent cleanup, a new battery and more RAM at the very least, all of which I could figure out how to do with a youtube tutorial search. Upgrading the CPU seems to be trickier, however. I would like to believe I can just add any of the newest CPU's, but I've never done this sort of thing. All I know is that I have the following from CPU-Z: Is that my current CPU is an Intel Pentium(R) Dual-Core CPU T44300 @2.1GHz and my mb: Chipset is Intel GM45/GM47 Southbrigde: Intel 82801IM (ICH9-M) ...Don't even know what that means. If I did all the right hw/research so far, how do I pick something out of the long list I received from CPU-Upgrade.com? I received an old Lenovo AIO M72z for free. I'm trying to build a very cheap but decent pc out of it. My problem is the lack of PCI slots. As seen in the attached picture of the board, there is a riser port that usually connects to 4 USB 2.0 ports, one ethernet port, and a display port. Does anyone know what type of connector that is? On the mobo it only says riser. I was wondering whether I could connect a USB 3 expansion card or even a GPU to it if there was some kind of adapter. I also wanted to upgrade the CPU. The best CPU in the original M72z lineup was an i7 3770s (65 watts), because the original PSU only delivered 125 watts. If I use a 24pin to 14pin adapter to replace the PSU with a 430 watt PSU, would a regular i7 3770 (95 watt) work without any problems or could there be an issue with the bios?

Hey guys so i have an old computer that has the DA061/078l mobo that takes an am2/am2+/am3 socket and it originally has an amd athlon II x2 240e cpu in it. Ive been thinking about swapping this dual-core cpu with a quad core amd athlon II x4 630 and i was wondering if i would need to update the bios for it. This website says its compatible for this mobo but im not sure if i would need the bios update. Upgraded from a G620 CPU to a I5-2500 , using the same HD 6870 Graphics card.... only the integrated graphics work now since I swapped CPUs. I cant get any display from the Graphics card and it spins and works just as before. No Bios option to change from IGPU to Dedicated GPU? Not a problem with drivers if i cant load bios or anything at all. All connections are checked and work, if i change the CPU back to the G620 the dedicated card works?

Hey, I Have a intel core 2 duo e4600 on a lenovo m58 (MTQ45MK Motherboard) and want to upgrade to quad-core. I Was looking at the q6400. Its in my pric erange ($0-$50). Then i looked at it and thought, Well the e4600 is at 65 watts and the q9400 was at 95. Im wandering if it will work on my board because Lenovo doesnt tell the maximum rated TDP of the motherboard. The cpus im looking at are on amazon used so any help would be greatly appriciated.
