So I just got a new job working in a company's marketing department that previously ignored marketing all together. We're trying to push out more content to social media, and the equipment to do so is currently lacking. I would love some suggestions on all gear related to video creation. So cameras, lighting, sound, and anything else I could be missing. There isn't really a budget, but I don't think we need RED camera level quality just something that would look professional on socials. Max budget for everything would probable be around $3-5k Thanks! [Edit: For context, this is a SaaS company just looking to promote the product to more customers. For now, we're looking to just shoot around the office and some short testimonials and Q&A's to post to Youtube, LinkedIn, Instagram etc. I do want to be able to bring this equipment along to any conferences we will be at to shoot B-rolls or any substantial content. The marketing team is brand new, which is why I don't have a lot of context so, apologies. I am familiar with some camera equipment I've used DSLRs and mirrorless cameras in the past. But based on the equipment we already have in the office, it seems like 1-2 of us would actually know how to use any future equipment we buy]

Hey guys, been a while since I've been on here!, anyways im looking to build a unique maybe server to store huge amounts of semi-medium files (mp3, WAV, ACID-WAV, AIFF, MP4 and PSD, AI, INDD, CAD, C4D, High res JPEGs/PNGs also looking for best compression algorithm for storing/compressing PSD, AI, INDD, CAD, C4D Etc. then also storing/compressing WAV. I have over 3 TB of big wav files ranging from 30-500MB different library's of genre music making files, other files for other projects, because I don't know what to do in life right now lmao. but yeah, I got a LSI MegaRAID on the way, heard it's pretty good for RAID 6 and another LSI card 9211-8i on the way too for my other NAS I wanna build or server. or just a backup card incase the first one dies for what ever reason XD so what you guys recommend I got 2x1TB Seagate drives (home ones) and 3 random 500GB-1TB drives different makers laying around and could use them as spares along the RAID 6 Array also what compression algorithm? best? mainly looking for best compression at a good or average speed (compressing) and decompression idc about atm but say I want both of both worlds what's good? im currently using LZMA/LZMA2 and ZSTD compression algorithm

Budget (including currency): $1000-$1200 Country: USA Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: This PC will be tasked daily with gaming, and light coding and school work, as well as streaming pc games or console games. And including editing videos/music. In all a well rounded pc. Games Valorant Warzone GTA 5 Other details: I currently have no PC setup and starting from zero up, I am looking to build my second PC. Though it has been two years and I've been out the loop with up to date tech. As far as peripherals go, that is not needed. I plan to to begin this build within the next two weeks before I return to college. My desired aspects for this build are to do anything from gaming, editing and coding/school work(well rounded). I plan to stream with this setup so I am looking to run a game at high settings at a consistent 145+ FPS minimum or if 240+ FPS if achievable at this budget. And as far as off stream to run consistent as well. I am currently exploring new hobbies and interested in editing music and photos/graphic design, I am unaware of any programs at the moment but I do plan to immerse myself and learn with this PC build. Lastly if possible I would I would enjoy a mostly white build and Black, Silver, Gray or Blue are allowed as well. But I do wanna emphasize that I will value Performance > Aesthetic as my goal is most bang for buck, but future proofing would also be appreciated. PSA: I'm Extremally sorry If I am asking for too much, I am just a bit behind on all this tech and really have been needing some help. Thank you to anyone and everyone in advance I am looking forward to see the builds people submit for me.

I have an Acer predator XB271HU as my primary display. Most of the times I would use it for gaming, because of the Gsync and high refresh rate of course, other times for normal browsing, movies and photo/video editting. Thanks to the IPS display and resolution, I am able to get a great display to work on my visual projects with plenty of work real estate. However, I feel like getting a 4K secondary monitor, LG27UD68 specifically in mind. The use for it would be for the visual projects and movies as it has almost accurate colour reproduction and the XB271HU is solely for gaming and browsing. The question is, is it worth a 4K for such use or getting another IPS QHD monitor? I really like the LG display and colour accuracy. Help me!

Hey guys, I'm planning to do a 3D rendering/modelling/animation workstation build very soon, including a gtx 1080 ti, and a ryzen 7 1800. I'd like a new monitor, the one I have right now is severely problematic for the work I do, colors are horrible, screen is too small, and the refresh rate is iffy. Also, it is small, I'd like to work on a bigger monitor than 21 and a third inch. I don't want a curved screen, or any wide screen for that matter. I simply don't have enough space. a 25 to 27 inch monitor would be a good fit. HDR is not really a concern of mine, I don't need it as far as I can tell. My budget is around 400 to 500 euro for this monitor. (600 maybe if it's really good, but I don't really know monitor prices) Things I search for in this monitor: - Good color support - some usb ports would be nice - a good refresh rate (maybe 144 Hz?) - IPS or something that'll keep things looking ok from different viewing angles - 25 to 27 inch diagonal screen size Further questions I have: - 4K? Yes? No? Maybe? - How much color space do you really need? - Refresh rate, does it matter for content creation/ergonomics? (I'd like quite a bit less eye strain pls) Thanks in advance!

Hello I'm in need of advice for a PC build. My budget is 1300€ with the monitor included. I would mainly use this PC for content creation, such as photo/video/audio editing and architectural rendering and some light gaming. For heavy gaming I gave a PS4... I want it to last and be reliable. Can you please help me decide on components and advise on certain areas? Motherboard: Gigabyte Aorus Elite - 190€ ASUS TUF Gaming Plus - 215€ CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 3700X (around 300€ in my country) GPU: I am a bit torn between GTX 1660Ti and RX 5500XT and RX 5600XT I found a good deal for Sapphire Pulse Radeon RX 5500XT 8Gb Nitro - 275€ that's a steal... RX 5600XT 6Gb is around 300-320€ PSU: Corsair TX650M/EVGA 650GQ (between 85-95€ in my country) RAM: DDR4 16GB Kit (2x8Gb) 3600MHz I was thinking about Corsair Vengeance LPX? SSD/M.2: Samsung 970 EVO 250-500Gb ( between 80-110€ in my country) Seagate Barracuda 1Tb SSD (around 120€ in my country) CASE: no clue, but I'd like a case that has a glass door and 2-3 fans. MONITOR: curved, adjustable stand, at least 27" and maximum 200€ Thanks a lot.

So this is a "budget" build I came up with for a friend, parameters are simple, don't go to far past $700 (currently about $706), must pair well with a 1920 x 1080 144hz freesync monitor, must be able to create content and stream with minimal system impact (game of focus is destiny 2). It doesn't need to be able to go max settings and always push 144fps 24/7 but min/maxing price to performance is always ideal, and he's fairly competitive. Build so far: CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 2600 Mobo: ASRock B450M Micro AM4 RAM: 16gb of ddr4-3000 Storage: 860 evo 500gb ssd GPU: MSI Radeon RX 580 8gb PSU: EVGA BQ 600W 80+ bronze PC part picker link: https://pcpartpicker.com/user/AntiHero3391/saved/#view=bbjK4D So for budget reason I went with second gen Ryzen CPU, and this is where I have my only real question, would it be better to go with 3rd gen Ryzen 3 with 4 cores or stay 2nd gen Ryzen 5 with 6 cores so he can make content and all that fun stuff? Are 3rd gen Ryzen's worth it, are they really that good? I have a good amount of experience building computers but I always like to make sure it get it right, so second opinions are nice.

Dear community, i am a little bit confused. I was already asking in another forum for recommendations, but at some point opinions were stuck. They recommended me an AMD 3900x.. but i am afraid of getting into the same situation as Phenom II a few years back ...but first things first: Budget: 700-1500€ Location: Europe, Germany what for (80%): Photo editing. Primarily with Lightroom, Photoshop and Capture1. Mainly 24 and 42 Megapixels, sometimes 62. what for (20%): video editing with 4K h264,8 bit multicam which was almost impossible with the current machine: Premiere and Davinci with a tiny little bit of AfterEffects should run smooth. maybe 10 bit in the future. current PC: i5 2500, 32 GB RAM, 500GB SSD, 560Ti nice to have: many SATA-Ports (8?...I have many HDD harddrives). hackintosh compatibility would be cool, but is not a must. overclocking? My main fear is having the same timeline problems in Premiere as now. And Premiere is the only editing-software that i can operate to a very good degree. Photoediting works kind of fine with the current machine. Most of my colleges and friends have built their machines 6-12 months ago.. they are almost identical featuring an oced 8700k (5ghz) and an 9900k. Both machines "feel" unbelievable fast compared to mine in tasks that i usually do or would like to do. Sidefact: if i can safe some money (buying an used system like 7700 or 8700k) or if i would be even fine with an laptop -please let me know! I dont need to have the latest of the latest just to get 5% better exporttimes. I am spending much more time with the edit. what experiences have u made? Is an 3900x (with GTX 1660 for example) fast enough to work smoothly despite the lack of QuickSync, or would it be wiser to buy any high frequency Intel machine and dont care about possible future implementations that could or could not happen.. thank you :)

I am trying to build a good pc between $900, $1100 (including tax) at most for content creation and something that could handle Adobe After Effects really well. Here's a pc part picker link for what I have so far and any feedback on the compatibility of the parts or if you know of better alternatives. https://pcpartpicker.com/user/lasha.basha/saved/Pwpgt6

Budget (including currency): $5000 USD Country: USA Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: My aim is to be able to do content creation (thumbnails, video editing & processing), as well as do 3D work in blender. I want to also be able to play games in high quality and not have dropped frames. I want to be able to have no hiccups playing games such as valorant, ffxiv, metal gear solid series, etc. I want to be able to concurrently content create/game and listen to youtube or talk with friends on discord as well. Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): Current Specs: File is attached! Per request see specs below. System Type: x64-based PC Processor: AMD Ryzen 7 2700 Eight-Core Processor, 3200 Mhz, 8 Core(s), 16 Logical Processor(s) BIOS Version/Date: American Megatrends Inc. 4011, 4/19/2018 SMBIOS: Version 3.1 Embedded Controller Version: 255.255 BIOS Mode: UEFI BaseBoard Manufacturer: ASUSTeK COMPUTER INC. BaseBoard Product: ROG STRIX B350-F GAMING BaseBoard Version: Rev X.0x Platform Role: Desktop Secure Boot State: Off PCR7 Configuration: Binding Not Possible Windows Directory: C:\WINDOWS System Directory: C:\WINDOWS\system32 Installed Physical Memory (RAM): 16.0 GB Total Physical Memory: 15.9 GB Available Physical Memory: 7.46 GB Total Virtual Memory: 19.8 GB Available Virtual Memory: 8.37 GB Page File Space: 3.88 GB Case: I prefer a mini atx/itx case or something light. My current case is too heavy for me to lug around, take apart and put back together. Monitors: I want to have at least two monitors, but my current space doesn’t allow for more than two 24-inch ones. I’d rather sacrifice a monitor for a little more screen real estate and better quality/color accuracy. I at least a 2k monitor with a good refresh rate (144 or higher) for shooters like Valorant. I also want something as color accurate as possible. Also, a plus if they can be mounted to an arm, I want to maximize my desk space. No, I have peripherals. Monitors, Keyboard, and mice. I do want new monitors, but if I have to sacrifice new ones until later for a better build, I am willing to wait. I also have windows OS purchased already. I'm looking to buy around the end of this year, early next year. Reason for Upgrade: I am having issues with my current computer “lagging” it will pause and stutter when it seems like cpu or ram usage is high. This has been reoccurring for the past year, I replaced thermal paste on my cpu. Also, I would really like to have a better graphics card, but not bottleneck my current pc. I don’t think the newer generation of cards will work with my current setup. Computer Specs 2.docx
