Recently my pc has been freezing, some times on boot, 5 minutes of it being on or after 8 hours of it being on. I’ve replaced my RAM after noticing one of the sticks weren’t working anymore but this only helped temporarily. My temps are all within normal ranges as well. Build: Ryzen 5600x 32gb Corsair vengeance 3200 (brand new RAM) EVGA KO 6gb 2060 Corsair CV650 80+ Bronze PSU ASUS ROG Strix B-450F Gaming ATX AM4 MOBO Coolermaster 240L Liquid CPU cooler Western Master 1TB ssd (might be around a 7 y/o ssd)

My cousin had an issue with the his computer locking up while streaming on some sites, also occurred on sites with auto playing video adds. He tried to reinstall windows, and then he asked me to fix it up. He also complained the system was very hot and it did thermal shut down on him a couple times I also set him up with kodi I've narrowed it down to the GPU Saphire Radeon 6870 I can reliably recreate the freeze up, but I can't figure out why it is happening or what could be doing it. The issue I have scene: The computer will freeze up. The image on the screen remains, the system is still powered up, numlock does not respond mouse does not move and so on. Kodi 17.1 there is no picture or audio when the video loads but the counter is moving, Relevant Specs: AMD 965BE Asus M5A88V-EVO corsair vengeance DDR3 2x4gb Saphire Radeon 6870 Corsair TX850 PSU For trouble shooting purposes: The system was full of dust, it was bad. I was surprised he didn't fry the cpu or gpu. FIrst thing I did was blow out the dust I put new thermal paste on the CPU I reinstalled windows updates and most recent drivers for everything on the system, issue still occurring I replaced the power supply issue still occurring reinstalled windows again this with the bare minimum updates to get Kodi 17.1 working and a latest gpu drivers, issue still occurring Tried older drivers still occurs I put R7 370 in the system, ran Kodi 17.1 it worked perfect, ran some furmark, prime 95, for over an hour system is perfectly stable I put the 6870 back in run furmark and prime 95s all around test for 2 hours system is fine no issues. Start up Kodi 17.1 system freezes or there is no picture or audio when the video loads but the counter is moving, When you try to move forward you get a frame with video then the system locks up. Kodi 16.1 works perfect no freezing, I let youtube play videos for a hour no freezing. He has it back and will let me know if it continues to happen and what sites it is happening on. What I would like to know is this. Is there something in the gpu or on the pcb that relates specifically to video pay back that may have been damaged by over heating that may be related to how some video codecs or programs interact with the hardware decoding of the video??? That the only thing I can think of. Since it appears to work perfect with version 16.1 of kodi I'm wondering if its a new standard or something.

Hi all, I have been having this trouble with my computer where it will just freeze, but won't restart. When it is in this state, I am not able to interact with the machine at all. There is no BSOD for when this error occurs, and it seems to just be happening randomly. It has frozen up when I was playing games, when I was trying to export a video file, and even just after a boot up it has just frozen up. I have cleaned out my computer recently, so there is minimal dust inside of it. It is a relatively new machine so the the thermal compound should not be an issue. My Specs Ryzen 1300x 16GB HyperX Ram (4x4GB) ZOTAC GTX 1050ti ASUS PRIME B350M-A (I don't know what wattage the PSU is, but it is one that I bought with the system) BIOS VERSION - American Megatrends Inc. 3203, 9/11/2017 OS - Windows 10 Home - Version 1803 64bit. If anyone knows what the issue could be, this would be a great help!

So I have been having issues with my computer freezing and forcing me to reset it to get it to work again the past couple of days. It didn't seem to start until I added another SSD and did a clean install of W8.1. At first I was crashing in Chivalry at random intervals, I could even not crash in a gaming session. I noticed in Event Viewer all my crashes were realted to AODDriver 4.3, 4.2, 4.1, etc. I eventually gave up after trying all of these solutions and did a clean install of W7 Pro. I continue to have issues. At first I was getting errors like "Event filter with query "SELECT * FROM __InstanceModificationEvent", "Session "ReadyBoot" stopped due to the following error: 0xC0000188", and so on. I fixed these errors from coming up. Now the computer just crashes with nothing but "Audit events have been dropped by the transport. 0". (and this has only shown up once after many crashes) I also get the warning "The content source <csc://{S-1-5-21-3156344856-333978733-371778063-1000}/> cannot be accessed." sometimes. I tested my CPU, RAM, GPU, etc, all seem to be fine. In fact, when I used Prime95 and Furmark at the same time to test, the computer seemed to run fine. I never went higher than 67 on my GPU under full load, and idk abut my CPU, because AMD's CPU sensor are retarded. (it was also under full load). I ran it for about 15 minutes, and all worked good. When I try to play Dying Light I just crash about 5-10 minutes in, sometimes less. I just don't know what to do at this point, and it is very frustrating. I even disconnected my HDD to see if that would fix it (since the issues happened after adding another SSD, maybe needed more power). I have also tried without any OC, no dice. Full specs on profile.

The Hardware The cpu and motherboard I bought used. Case: NZXT phantom enthusiast Green LED CPU: i5 3570k MOBO: MSI GD65 RAM: 8GB Crucial ballistix Sports 1600MHZ HDD: 1TB WD Caviar Black PSU: Thermaltake TR2 RX 850Watts GPU: None yet and wont get one till I fix problem OS: W7 Ultimate 64 bit (from piratebay) According to malwarebytes & MS Security essentials no infections on pc The Problem bUZZING is coming from speakers http://linustechtips...till-need-help/ Freezes and makes buzzing noise when i replaced the parts mentioned below the problem went to like it was at the begininng. The progressions -froze for 1-3 seconds and made buzing noise. -Then forze/buzzed for 30sec to 1 min. -then complete frezzes/buzzing only resolved by restarting. -Then ^ but now i get it withing minutes after restarting.Sometimes it actually works for longer but never over 10 minutes unless im just looking at text and pictures i think. When does it happen? watching videos or playing games. a couple times when trying to get to event viewer What I have done -Used OC genie and xmp to do overclocking and hopefully fix things. problem still appeared -Ive reinstalled windows 7 ultimate a lot of times now so not a software issue -RMA'd RAM and HDD problem still continues -Tested the following (no fails(before RMA's)): Prime95, Memtest, furmark/other graphical tests,and I do not remember what else but it had something to do with throttling. -Tested outside of case -TODAY tried OCCT I noticed that the PSU on the 12V thing im getting 8.18V max. -Can not test PSU because im missing dll[] -tsted graphics to see if there would be a failure in seconds. -Tested the cpu and within 11 seconds it failed i saw images that i did not understand so i just decided to see if i could test it again and got a crash (blue screen). - Just clicked "ON" on OCCT in the PSU menu(test began,i dont know how the dll problem got fixed, and there was a crash there were no images produced. -Began second yest for PSU been 8 minutes. Im abut to stop sinc my CPU getting to hot its at the 80s and i dont know what temps are safe/ Stoped itself because it reached max value "85". PC Does Not Overheat when I am just watching videos or playing games. If any1 wants to see results let me know I donty want to make this to big of a post that u cant get to the next post Can any1 read these charts and see what the error was?. My thinking is that its the CPU. can i RMA a used CPU?
