So I recently bought a new motherboard (MSI z790-A Max Wi-fi) and it comes with two 8 pin power connectors, something that my previous motherboard didn't come with. I have a Corsair RM750X 80 Plus Gold Full Modular power supply and I check if it was enough power for all the upgrades I was gonna do but I didn't notice that the new motherboard come with extra power pins. Am I gonna need to buy new cables or a whole new PSU to power this motherboard?

Budget (including currency): $300 Country: Poland Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Software development and Cyberpunk 2077 Other details: I own Ryzen 5900X cooled by Liquid Freezer II, Asus x Noctua 3070 OC card and 32 GB of RAM. It is built on full ATX mainboard in a very old, crowded case. And now I am thinking of turning it into somewhat coherent, Noctua-centric build. I need a case for that and of course I thought about the new Lian Li O11 Dynamic EVO. I asked manufacturer about compatibility and they replied, but in uncertain terms: So, my card might interfere upright, by what they say. But would it, really? It only uses 2 slots on the back of the case, despite being 4.3 slots wide at the shroud. I'm not eager to buy rather expensive case only to find out that my GPU does not fit. In the current situation I am one lucky guy to have a current-gen GPU, so I am not trying to buy another just to fit in the case. I also don't want to keep my card on the motherboard, because it only leaves one PCIe slot free to use, and I do have Asus WiFi card I need to keep, and I'd like to add a sound card too. Is anyone able to dry-fit it, or to read diagrams better than I can? Or any advice where do I go from here? That's my first post, so be gentle with me, please. And English is not my native language, so I am open to being corrected, just please keep in mind I'm doing the best I can.

GTA online role play servers, Heavily modded testing for bathesda mod creators and similar for SIms 3 and Sims 4 modders creating new content) Other details: See below So 6-7 years ago I set about and built this PC for gaming. Now i want to upgrade and need help identifying the weakest components and advice on what to replace/upgrade and with what new component within a modest budget. What I have. Power: 750 branded PCU - Sorry for lack of detail on brand atm Case: Unbranded but large size case with plenty of space currently with current components - air cooled with fans Mother board: Gigabyte z97p-d3 Ram: Kingston KHX1866C10D3/8G (2x 8GB sticks DDR3) Storage: Boot up Drive - Samsung SSD 850 EVO 250GB 2.5" Internal SSD Secondary Drive: Seagante 3.5" 1TB Hybrid HHB (ST1000DX 001-1NS162 SCSI Disk Device ATA-600) CPU: intel core i5-4460 CPU @3.20GHZ GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960 4GB Currently I plan to just get a RTX3080 and throw it in along with a larger sized Primary SSD to replace what I have. Would an RTX 3080 be compatible with everything else I have and what else would give me the best value for money upgrade to performance in gaming? Thanks HM

Hey guys, I pretty new to pc building and I'm planning on building a new pc. I've found the parts but I'm not 100% sure about the compatibility and how well they will run together, I'm mainly concerned about the motherboard. Also just to note, I'm not planning on doing any overclocking except from running the ram at its advertised clock speed so that's not an issue for me. Let me know if there are any problems with the parts list. Thanks PC Parts: Case: Corsair 110R Gaming Midi Tower Motherboard: MSI B450-A Pro Max CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 3700X 3.6GHz CPU Cooler: CPU Stock cooler Storage: Samsung 970 Evo Plus SSD PSU: Be Quiet System Power 9 600W GPU: rtx 3060 12gb RAM: G.Skill Ripjaws V 16GB DDR4 RAM (3200MHz)

I'm planning to build a basic PC. These are the components that I have boiled down my research to. CPU: https://ark.intel.com/content/www/us/en/ark/products/199268/intel-celeron-processor-g5900-2m-cache-3-40-ghz.html Motherboard: https://www.amazon.in/ASUS-LGA1200-Micro-ATX-Motherboard-Support/dp/B087M5DFJJ/ref=sr_1_3?dchild=1&keywords=h410+motherboard&qid=1631343620&sr=8-3 Main confusion is with the RAM. I've found a few of them that appear to be compatible. Just wish to check with the experts here about which one would work with the above CPU and motherboard. I upgraded an old lenovo ThinkCentre M81 computer running windows 7 by adding an RX550 to it but while the card is connected is seems like the computer wont boot? When the computer is started whilst the RX550 is connected it will turn on and the gpu's fans will turn but no signal will reach my monitors even if I also connect a different monitor to the mobo and my keyboard and mouse stay unpowered. I have verified that the card works fine by testing it in on a different computer, I also know that the pcie slot, monitors, wires and slots on the gpu work after testing. From what I understand my mobo has a PCI Express x16 1.0 and the RX550 has a PCI Express X16 3.0 and although I have heard that PCIE is supposed to be backward compatible I have also heard of other people having gpu issues due to using different PCIE who had to change their PCIE frequency in their bios. I believe the issue comes from incompatibility between my motherboard and the RX550. What I find odd is that I have built another computer using the same mobo that works jsut fine with a gtx 1050ti so I would have thought the RX550 would have worked just fine. (I also tried running the RX550 on the system running the 1050ti and had the same results) Is there anything I could do to make the card work without having to change my mobo?

Good day, everyone I am a complete amateur, building my first-ever pc with the money I painstakingly saved and I hope to liquid-cool both my intel i9-13900KS and msi suprim x 4090 gpu. I planned to configure them using corsairs configuration tool but then learnt that they do not have a waterblock for my gpu. However, EK does. But, I worry if it will be compatible with corsairs cooling solution involving their pipes, pumps, reservoirs, radiators and fittings. I hope to have your recommendation betwen hardline and softline tubing as well (for lack of a better word). May I have your keen guidance, as far better and experienced builder that I hope to be? I would like to know if EK quantum vector 2 waterblock for Msi sprim x 4090 gpu will be compatible with corsairs cooling products and solution. For your reference, I am building this in a corsair tower case.

I have an existing computer with a 2990WX. I have a samsung nvme m.2 ssd and I heard that pairing that with a 3990X is not a good idea as there are some complications. Is this true? and what are the reasons why. Can I even use an ssd with the 3990X ?

Hey guys, huge fan of the channel but never posted anything. Anyways, I'm doing a 9700k build with the Asus Maximus XI WiFi board and after receiving the wrong cooler for my CPU I stopped at my local Best Buy and picked up the H115i RGB Platinum thinking that's what I needed, however getting home I noticed the sockets it's compatible with are the LGA 1150, 1155 and 1156. Will this still work with the 1151 as the mounting bracket for the back of the MOBO adjusts? Thanks for any insight Im planning on putting everything together and don't want to worry about incompatible parts for the cooler and not be able to return it later.

Hi LTT, I got a new computer a few months ago (Rtx 2060, 8700k and 1 Stick of 16gb Ram) And I realized that for certain games having dual channel RAM can make a considerable difference. I want to upgrade my RAM to be dual channel but I'm not sure the best way to go about it. The Stick I have installed right now is a G.Skill Ripjaws "F4-3000C16D." I was looking for an identical stick online but the only one I could find was sold out. So my question is, can I get another 16GB stick with a slightly different model and different speed (I was looking at this: https://www.newegg.com/g-skill-16gb-288-pin-ddr4-sdram/p/N82E16820232090), or would it be best to just get a new set all together, maybe 2x8GB sticks? If I were to go with this second option does anyone have any recommended stores/websites I can sell my current 16gb stick at?

Good morning everyone, I'll start by saying that I'm definitely not an expert, thus my question might be fairly easy to answer and make me look like a moron lol Anyway, here's the deal: I had an old mobo laying around (Asus p8h61-mlx) and a hyper X ddr3 4 gigs stick (hx313c9f/4), both without any use so I decided to put together a low budget pc. I bought a i5 2320 and, after booting it up, I saw it was working, alongside the recognised 4gb module. I ordered some parts, one of them was another 4 gigs stick, and waited. A few days ago a friend gifted me two sticks of bundled hyper X ddr3 4 gigs (hx313c9frk2/8)(oh the irony) so I tried them both. No post from the mobo. I tried one at a time and one made the mother board give output so I guessed that one was dead but when I paired the working one with the other I had already there wasn't any sign of life from the board. Of course I tried the initial one by itself and it works. From what I've seen they're both 1333 MHz, with equal capacity and from the same manufacturer.Anyone has any idea why?
