Budget (including currency): 2800Eur Country: Italy Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Gaming, Triple A (Rainbow 6, COD, Horizon Forbidden West etc.) Other details https://it.pcpartpicker.com/list/jH8b6D Feedback is specially needed for the monitor and motherboard. All other feedback is obviously also appreciated. Also, what would be a good mic just for gaming and discord (no streaming or anything important). Budget (including currency): £2300 Country: UK Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Gaming & Music Production & Work Other details Tomorrow is payday for me, it also happens to be Black Friday and I’ve noticed there’s a few discounts on some of the items in my pcpartpicker build. I’ve researched as best as I can, but sometimes it’s best to get people with more experience than myself to advise whether the parts I’ve chosen are any good (its been more than 10 years since I built a pc). I already purchased my 4090fe, I have a g8 OLED and all the peripherals like mouse and keyboard, it’s just all the other components I need. I’ll be using it for 4k gaming with as high fps as I can get, will also be doing music production, which is a hobby, not anything professional, but I do use a lot of plugins on ableton. https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/xZzTPF Any advice would be great

help Inexperienced builder checking for sanity
Waffle_Loard posted a topic in New Builds and Planning
build: https://pcpartpicker.com/user/Waffle_Loard/saved/fp6N6h Hello I am a relatively inexperienced builder and would like a second opinion on this build before risking it and purchasing all the parts. I have an SSD on hand already that will be used, I didn't include it in the part list because I did not want to accidentally purchase another.- 12 replies

Budget (including currency): R$ 4,500.00 (BRL) Country: Brazil Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: From "indie" games like Hades, Dead Cells to maybe GTA V or other AAA games. So, i've been wanting to build a basic gaming pc and well i'm from Brazil, the place where any tech related thing is almost "overpriced". i've got a R$ 4,500.00 (BRL) (in todays quotation US$ 810.46) budget. I've chosen some of the pc parts, but i have no idea if they are good enough, if i'm going to have any compatibility issues or screw everything up. The parts i picked: CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3400G, Cache 6MB, 3.7GHz (with integrated graphics card); Power Supply: Corsair CV650, 650W; Motherboard: Gigabyte Aorus B450 Elite V2; Storage: M.2 SSD 480GB (i don't know wich is the best brand yet so... if you could advise me on that too); Memory: 2 Sticks of 8GB 2400 MHz (don't know the brand too); *NOTE: I'm not including a GPU 'cause it would blow my budget completely. Thats all i got for now, feel free to recommend me any different parts or changes at the list. And thank you for the help! And i know that sounds lame but pardon my weird english writting.

This is my first build and I have never planned a PC. I did a bunch of research and got some feedback and this is what I came up with: https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/list/vMRqz7 I heard that there is a gpu shortage and the price of gpus are really high, so I decided to get a overclockable cpu with integrated graphics so that I could play Rocket League. I have Nintendo Switch anyways so I don't need a gpu immediately. I can connect my switch to my monitor. I also bought an aio cooler because I want to overclock it. so can someone review my c before i buy it. if some parts are too expensive or incompatible can you please tell me. Also I wanted to know if I need a 800W psu. Can I just get a 750W psu instead? Budget (including currency): $1500 to $2000 CAD ($1300 to $1700 USD) Country: Canada Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Gaming (Fortnite, Rocket League), Day to day use (Word, etc...) Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc):

Budget (including currency): $2000 USD Country: USA Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Light Streaming, Gaming, Schoolwork Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): I currently have no peripherals besides a Headset & Mouse (which needs to be upgraded soon but not currently.) If anyone has any Keyboard recommendations that would be amazing. This is going to be my first PC Build ever so I'm not too sure what I need and don't need regarding what I'm planning to do with it. I want to play at 1080 and 144hz. I would like to be able to play games like Minecraft, Rocket League, Rust, Rainbow Six, Destiny 1 & 2 + More. I need at least 2 Monitors. One Mainly for Gaming, and another for things like Discord, YouTube etc. If anyone would be kind enough to help me that would be great!

Budget (including currency): 1400 Country: UK Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: General researching, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, OneNote Minecraft, Valorant, and drawing programs such as Photoshop, Krita Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): While researching, I have found that certain components, such as the GPU, are very expensive at the moment but have found that it is only really important for gaming. As this is not too much of a major necessity for my PC (more of a nice to have), I am wondering what type of GPU would be sufficient. I have additionally, been debating whether the best route would be for me to purchase a pre-built (such as iBUYPOWER) but the idea of building a PC to meet my requirements just seems too enticing. I suppose my overall question is, if I were to build a PC, what parts do you feel I should invest most of my budget into to support my needs best? Any parts you might recommend? Just looking for any advice on what I should do. Any tips are greatly appreciated, ty!

I wanna know your thoughts on the list, still tad new to PC building. Even though after looking thru Noctua sites and seeing that the cooler is compatible with the RAM and casing, I'm still unsure about the clearance considering I've been seeing some peeps having trouble with it. Defo need your input on it whether it is compatible with the RAM and that it fits in the case. Thanks Also, I'm aware that this thread is similar to an older one I posted a few months back but things happened and was never able to build that so I'm back again with this one. Hi, I'm building a new pc for my parents for the first time and I have a problem where the power pins on the motherboard and the PSU don't align and fit. I'm using the Corsair CX-M Series CX550M PSU and the Gigabyte B450M DS3H WiFi Motherboard. This is the pin slot on the motherboard and its information in the manual. This is the cable from the PSU These don't fit together. I read the PSU used an EPS 12V connector is this different that the ATX 12V ? Do I need to replace my PSU or Motherboard or is there a cable used to convert from one to the other?

Hi. I might buy pc parts during Black Friday (or Boxing day). Nothing expensive. Sites like newegg.ca, ca.pcpartpicker.com/, bestbuy.ca, ebay.ca. Are they good? Which sites or brands are recommended? Edit: Same question, but for used parts? (i'll probably watch a video on buying used parts) Do's and Don'ts for building a pc in Canada? (Ps i'll use Linux: Zorin OS 16.2 Lite Xfce) General Build Idea: - Cpu (and sometimes ram) is my bottleneck for: 3d animation made to look like cartoons, simple video editing, recording screen. - Gpu isn't really a bottleneck right now, so that's why I'll just use my old one for now. - Intel i3-10100 (or something with a few more cores) - Small motherboard and case - Either 1x16GB or 2x16GB with option to get up to 4x16GB's, maybe more if needed. - I'll use old parts for the rest. Questions: - Is it safe to use an old psu? - I have a Thermaltake TR2-500W psu from a used pc lying around. I got the dust out. It still works afaik. - And I also have whatever psu my Dell xps 8500 pc has, but I'll probably use this pc to slowly render stuff while doing other stuff on the main pc. - Is using 2 pcs like this doable? My dad told me if too much is plugged in one socket, the breaker thingy downstairs will shut it if, so there's no safety concern. But just curious about what I can expect. - If I need a new gpu later, and it won't fit, can I simply replace the small case with a big one and transfer all the parts? - If I need to, I can just swap the 10100 out for an 11900 cpu since it's the same socket, right? Or would there be some complicated bios thingy I have to do? Let me know. Thanks!
