Hello, I’m looking to build a pc too mainly play games with but I know little about specs and the difference between GPUs and other GPUs, CPUs and other CPUs and so on. I’ve picked out parts that I believe to be good for my budget but am still unsure, can someone help me out with this? https://au.pcpartpicker.com/list/kGTCsL

so i have been suffering through the last decade with a prebuilt pc full of problems built in a bad case and have been saving to build my own pc. i had my eye on building in a Cooler Master HAF XB EVO case as it is ALMOST PERFECT for my needs as i move between 2 residences for work and family reasons but dont want a dead end laptop but this is no longer an option as the are not in production any more. i would need a case with good airflow and space as i dont want compatibility isues so most of the common HTPC casess are a no go as they are all micro or mini atx or have Massive sacrafices to airflow. i prefer horizontal case design but a good tower design that can be used horisontaly without problems (ie its got no place for feet on side or is glass an 2 sides, fans get covered on its side, front/top panel airflow are diverted to sides, ect) would also be fine as thats what i have at the moment. i have no max size limitations but do want to keep the price reasonable. Required features: tall enough for noctua nh-d15 chromax+2fans has filter space minimum 2x140mm or 3x120mm intake front/side minimum 1x140mm or 2x120mm exhust back/side preferably 3x120mm on 2 sides 2x140mm rear 2x120mm front minimum motherboard size M-Atx preferably Atx minimum front I.O none prefered 1xUSB type-c 2xUSB 2(or higher) minimum power suply size none Preferably atx as i have a cx600m ready to use minimum drive support 1x 3.5 inch 1x 2.5 inch Preferably 3-5x 3.5 inch 2-4x 2.5 inch things i dont care about radiator support water cooling support color seeing into the case RGB fancy stuff in general i like form from function U.K resident anything else please ask

For those who like the flexibility of desktop setup, the portability of a laptop and the gaming potential of a full mechanical keyboard and professionality of a breifcase. Who says you can't have it all. Post your breifcase PCs in this thread or rate mine. As far as I know LTT hasn't made one yet. Heres mine: Has Intel NUC - 16 gBs RAM Mechanical Keyboad. Have both a touchpad mouse and a razer mouse for when gaming. 15.6" portable AOC usb-c screen (power and display) Has a 50 000mAh battery so lasts a few days without a charge. Want to add some speakers and a graphics card in the future.

So, should I wait for price dips that I cannot see even with a time machine or should I buy one now before even this card fades into oblivion? I mostly plan on using it for some Blender and Unreal Engine, maybe some gaming in lowest settings(for fps obviously). My BUILD PLAN(comments welcome): CPU: Ryzen 5 3500 w/wraith stealth cooler RAM: G.Skill Ripjaws V 16GB (2x8GB) 3200MHz MOB: ASRock B450M PRO4 mATX GPU: nvidia Quadro T600 (waiting for comments) Storage: 240GB Crucial BX500 SATA SSD + 2TB Seagate Barracuda HDD PSU: Antec VP450P 450W and some cello-tape to hold all of them together. This build will take like 4 months to build, so any update on parts welcome. P.S. I am desperate now, and scared that I might not have a chance to see a GPU with my own eyes.

Hello so this is the first time i build a mid-end pc to replace my old pc and i need an advice/recommendation about the build especially the nvme and psu. Budget (pure only for What-To-Buy list): IDR 7.500.000 (around USD 523) Country: Indonesia Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: I will be using it for playing apex or other game at 1080p(most of the time and it doesn't have to be the highest settings) also i want to learn unreal engine(just basic stuff for now) and i do some web programming What i have: - Motherboard ASUS B660M PLUS TUF WIFI D4 - GPU RTX 3050 DUAL EXTREME OC 8GB DUAL FAN - Case Montech Air 900 Mesh - HDD 1TB WD Blue 7200RPM - Monitor Samsung Syncmaster S220B310 it have only vga and dvi-d, is using a converter dvi-d male to hdmi male cause damage to my gpu or monitor? What i plan to buy: - Intel i5 12400F [IDR 2.700.000(USD189)] - G.Skill Trident Z Neo (16x2)[IDR1.500.000(USD105)] - 9 pccooler Corona [IDR 900.000(USD 93) / Halo [IDR1.200.000(USD 84)] I'm not sure which one i have to pick on the paper Halo looks like a little bit better and actually cheaper somehow -NVME 512GB WD Blue/Teamgroup T-Create classic/Adata XPG SX6000LNP Lite I'm not sure which one i have to choose, i'm going to install an OS here. They have almost the same price between around [IDR1.500.000(111USD)] with adata being the cheapest among the three -The last is psu and this one is very confusing part for me because i don't know much about PSU. Should i go with 550W or 650W? because there are some people said that with this specs it should go with 650W gold so the components can last long or something along the line just for the safer side incase electricity in the house is bad/sudden blackout. So as for the 550W i think of either ASUS TUF 550B or Cooler Master MWE V2 550W. As for 650W i think of MSI MPG 650GF [IDR1.500.000(111USD)] but i don't think i will go with the msi because i already scratching my budget limit unless i have to run with this (and i saw the recommendation for rtx 3050 is 550W) and i think they have the same protection for the most part( with the cooler master is missing the ocp as for the protection from what i saw) so with that build plan is it okay to choose ASUS TUF as the psu? I saw that it pretty decent in the tier list too or is there any recommendation? as for the price ASUS is [IDR 900.000(USD 93)] mastercooler being cheaper with [IDR 750.000(USD 53)] although i found some ex-bundle asus tuf go for the same price as cooler master. Also if i want to buy a UPS Battery what VA and Wattage should i buy with this specs and i heard APFC won't work with simulated sinewave is it true? because i'm planning to buy APC UPS with simulated sinewave since the pure sinewave is too expensive . Thank you very much

I would have gone for a more higher processor but I think with what I'm doing with my PC, it may seem overexcessive. I think I may have gone over budget, but as long as its not too overbudget like an extra $300 or so, it would be fine for me. This is my first PC that I will be building myself. I'm gettiing close to picking all the parts I want for my build and I need some feedback on the list I have (i.e what should I buy used, switch out some parts for better ones, etc) I will be buying all of this within the next week/month. I would also like some recommendations on a cpu cooler, as I have some in mind as listed below, but I don't know much about the difference between them or coolers in general. I'm going to use this mainly for gaming, which my current system is definitely not built for. (its a dell desktop from costco) I have one AOC G2 monitor. I care more about efficency and cost effectiveness than visual appeal, so I like to keep costs low when I can. If you have any questions or suggestions, please don't hesitate to post them. Country: UAE Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Mostly for gaming and studying Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): https://ae.pcpartpicker.com/list/GYBrtn it's a first time build, motherboard and power supply still not decided fully so please do feel free to suggest any changes that could cut costs or better improve the build, (ps i prefer an ATX over mATX), also fans for the case are undecided on so feel free to leave some suggestions on them as well (preferably RGB fans)

Budget (including currency): $2500 - $3500 Country: USA, Oregon Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: WH40k Darktide Brief: I am trying to build a computer to run Darktide, which I've been made aware is poorly optimized and is both CPU intensive for hordes and GPU intensive for resolution/graphics. I also want to allow for future CPU and GPU upgrades. I also haven't built a computer in more than 8 years so I'm long overdue, but I love the assembly process. I'm also now a full-time employed adult and not a teenager saving up birthday and christmas money so I should actually do smart things like seek expert assistance, watch build videos using my components, and not live my life through RMAs. Plan is to utilize cpu aio in the short-term to allow for easier GPU purchasing/upgrading and then once things are closer to finalized or temperatures demand it, to do a water loop. Also wanting this to run as quietly as is feasible. Mobo was picked for VRM and for case compatibility. Cooling plan: 3x140 in the front inlet (Supposed to accommodate 140 Lian Li stackables, want to check if noctua could fit too) CPU AIO 3x120 with 360mm radiator at top exhausting through radiator 3x120 on the side inlet 1x120 on the back exhaust I'm hoping that without load the pc should be nearbsilent while under practical load we have sub 60db. Hello, a friend of mine recommended me to ask for help in this forum for building a PC, so I will give it a go. I recently received a Geforce GTX 750 graphics card and 2 DDR3 4gb RAM sticks as a gift from a friend. He felt sorry for me having to play on my PC which can't handle going above medium graphics on any game. So I decided to try and buy parts for building a PC around these parts, which hopefully would be able to improve my experience in games, but also last me for some time. 1. Budget & Location Budget: 550$ I live in Sweden and my current budget is the one listed above, 550$, however I would prefer to go lower if possible, and/or could go higher up to 600$ if I really have to. 2. Aim The aim is to have a long-lasting PC which would be used for gaming, as stated before. However, I do not intend to play games like Battlefield 1 and Witcher 3 on max graphics. I am more of a League of Legends, World of Warcraft and other MMORPG titles kind of a guy. I would at least be able like to keep my resolution at 1920x1080, and without having to put the lowest graphics possible on each game that I encounter. Here's a list of games that I might want to play using this PC, with AT LEAST medium graphics: World of Warcraft League of Legends Bless Online (new MMORPG game) ArcheAge Black Desert Online (if possible) 3. Monitors I only have one monitor which I intend to keep and play with for as long as possible, which has 1920x1080 resolution. 4. Peripherals I have a gaming keyboard + mouse from SteelSeries, and I have a copy of Windows 7 which I can install on the PC. 5. Why are you upgrading? I just want a long-lasting PC that can handle playing the games which I previously listed, and other indie or not so heavy graphics games. I feel left out since my friends are all able to play these titles without having to lower their resolution and graphics, while I am the only one who's has to. I am hoping that you guys could give me tips or a build plan which would help me maximize the use of the parts that I have, within the budget that I have. I have no preferences regarding aesthetics, and I am open to any type of changes. Best regards Garambo
