Hey so I got some random cheapo wifi card to test reception in my room. Got perfect reception so now I need/want an actual wireless card bc the usb one will be for my friend's pc when he drags his pc over. Just has to be PCIe or w/e. I had an old one I ripped from a pc but it was some old format that wasn't pci(e) and didn't fit in my mobo. So that kinda went out the window. Just recommend good stuff or w/e and I'll come up with decent price range through looking at recommendations. I have the option to also get a wired connection in my room (long story will be made short below), I'm looking into that but this will be a good substitute for now (could be like a month until I actually buy the adapter) bc I don't play a lot of ping dependent games. Long story made short edition: -house has 2 phone lines -both setup n stuff -one in use -one not in use -phone plug in my room is on the one not in use -could get my own internet connection for like 50CAD/month + installation (50CAD) and router rentage fee, need to look into it tho I'll probs end up doing the long story made short edition at some point but I need to get more info from the company I'll be using. Anyways for now please recommend away, thanks for any help/advice! If you need more info feel free to ask, I can explain anything I put in this thread in a clearer light if needed (I think).

Hey, What are the "healty" and MAX temps for the Phenom II X4 970 BE? My friend currently OC'ed it to 4.2 GHz and it ran 44 C in idle. When will it crash. Where is the MAX SAFE temperature?

Hello folks! I've been a huge fan of LTT since years but it's my actual first time over here asking for help, thanks upfront for helping me! So I'm planing to build a complete new system with the following pieces and I had a few questions about my liquid cooling loop! Please let me know in the comments if I should post scheme of my ideas or if it's clear enough that way! Ok so here's the big lines: Case: Be quiet Dark Base Pro 900 http://www.ncix.com/detail/be-quiet-dark-base-pro-61-133206.htm Motherboard: Asus Maximus VIII Formula http://www.ncix.com/detail/asus-rog-maximus-viii-formula-d5-126247.htm CPU: I7 6700K (Do I need to link that? ahah) GPU: GTX 1080 (I'll need advices picking one for water cooling it!) Ram: 16GB Corsair Vengeance LED DDR4 http://www.ncix.com/detail/corsair-vengeance-led-16gb-2x8gb-88-135582.htm (wathever the color, i'll probably pick red) SSD: Samsung 850 Pro 1TB http://www.ncix.com/detail/samsung-850-pro-1tb-2-5-ce-99906.htm HDD: 4TB 7200RPM (Probably gona go with a WD since I already got a failure on a seagate) PSU: Enermax Platimax 1200W (I already have it in my current computer and I'll keep it) Optical Drive: None, who needs that nowaday! Now as the water cooling setup here are the component i'll use: Radiator1: http://www.xs-pc.com/radiators-ex-series/ex360-triple-fan-radiator Radiator2: https://www.ekwb.com/shop/ek-coolstream-se-240-slim-dual (I'll get the the "why" this one later) CPU block: XSPC Raystorm Pro http://www.xs-pc.com/waterblocks-cpu/raystorm-pro GPU block: XSPC Blade GTX 1080 http://www.xs-pc.com/waterblocks-gpu/blade-gtx-1080 Tank: XSPC Photon D5 Pump Combo: http://www.ncix.com/detail/xspc-d5-photon-170-glass-75-91744.htm Pump: See tank FANS: Corsair ML120, no discussion those are simply incredible Big Lines: I want a 360MM Rad for my CPU+PCB and the 240 rad for my GPU, let me know if I should invert that. The 240 MM will be Front mounted as an intake (I know it isn't optimal but I have no choice since I can't botom mount it). The 360MM Rad will be top mounted of course. I plan to place my tank+pump combo right after my 240MM rad (Drive trays will be removed except for one as high as I can place it so everything fits in). Ok so that round up most of my setup now I had a few interogations listed below, please help Question 1: Considering my 240MM rad will be shotting hot air in my case I taught about putting a 120MM fan at the bottom of my case, in the slot closest to the rad since the other one won't be usable due to PSU. That's where came my idea of a really slim 240MM rad at the front, would I be able to fit this fan in? Is it a good idea to try to compensate for the heat driven into the case? I'll use a 120MM rear exaust fan too) but my question is: WOULD IT FIT? Question 2: As mentioned before, should I run my 360 rad for my CPU or my GPU? Because build wise it'd give a much cleaner look if my 240 Rad would be used on my CPU but performance wise is this the best option? Question 3: The tank I picked is well rated, but considering my rad will drive hot air DIRECTLY on it. should I go for a Bayreservoir (5.25 bays) pump combo? Aestecticly speaking it'd be much less apealing.... Question 4: Any recomendation on how to pass my tubing? Note that there is a PCB water block built-in the motherboard I picked (It's copper, I verified ahah) Question 5: That one is an old one... BARB OR COMPRESSION FITTINGS???????? and why? Please do not hesitate to post ANY comment on my build or recomendation all help and opinions is welcome! Once again thank's upfront everyone, let me know what you think! (LET ME KNOW IF I SHOULD DRAW A SCHEME OF MY IDEAS TO MAKE IT CLEARER)

Basically what the title is asking, is that specific power supply a good one? It is rated at 80+ Silver as well. I am getting it for my soon-to-be i3 2130 and GT 1030 gaming build, which will have upgrades for a i5 2500k / i7 2600k, GTX 1050 (maybe) and 16gb ram. I don't need over 550w, but I am on a budget. The BeQuiet unit fits perfectly under my budget and my aesthetic perfectly, has black cables, and I've heard everywhere praise BeQuiet for being good, so I am making sure. Yay or nay?

Hello everyone! So, I was an enthusiast (on a budget) (1998-2011), and then "because LIFE" I stopped being an enthusiast(on a budget) (2012-2016). And now I am an enthusiast(on a budget) again...with a question: I recently built an all-new rig, which I'm very happy with. However, I'm not happy about the fact that my previous "Old Faithful" rig is now literally just lying in a cardboard box doing nothing. It's a Phenom II X4 965 BE, which as I recall has a TDP of 140W, which sucks as far as power consumption goes. So I was wondering if anyone had any tips for potentially underclocking this thing for lower power consumtion so I can use it in the living room without having to worry about 2 full-power PCs eating all my electricty? I have been overclocking since I was 12, but I have never really tried underclocking, so I would really appreciate some info!

So my question is would Micro Center Accept a exchange after the 30 day period? I just now found out the Asus R9 390/390X don't have Crossfire Support and that's pretty much a deal breaker for me. I did purchase the 2 year protection plan for the gpu so would it be possible to exchange it for a MSI R9 390? What would happen to the 2 year warranty if they did let me exchange it? Does it transfer to the new card or do I lose it? If anyone happens to know please let me know! Thanks!

I've been rocking my old AMD Phenom II X4 965 BE for a looong time now, and I was thinking about overclocking it a bit to get some more performance out of it. My main concerns are that either my motherboard (Gigabyte GA-MA770T-UD3) or my PSU will fry if I overclock my CPU due to the fact that it's not an enthusiast motherboard and it doesn't have the best chipset for its generation. Please see my other components it my signature :-) Can anyone help me out, maybe by sharing some OC experience?

I'm looking for someone to create a simple opening for my YouTube channel, nothing fancy just a simple opening to introduce it. I can't pay any money but you will get recognition in the description and you can even leave your watermark at the bottom of the opening if you like. The channel isn't anything special, just something to do and show friends. If you're interested we will take it from here i guess

http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00OB40ULU/?tag=pcp0f-21 Here's another 'better than 212 Evo and is currently similarly priced or cheaper' deal. Edit: Oh, I left out the £7 delivery.. HiTechLegion's review:

Doesn't matter about the looks, or price. Which fan has better Noise/Performance? (NF-F12 and SilentWings 2 btw).
-
I heard that the Be Quiet! Silent Base 800 doesn't provide enough airflow inside the case due to its low rpm fans and restricted front intake. Is that true? I will be having an FX-8350 with a Noctua NH-D14 and an R9 290x. Will the SilentWings 2 fans provide good airflow? If not, I'm thinking of just getting the Fractal Design R5.

So i found an old-ish monitor in my cellar and decided to hook it up for some sweet 2 monitor fun but when i connect it my main TV/monitor ends up looking like shit (colours are way too saturated and everything is too sharp) The TV is 1920 x 1080 and the monitor is some weird resolution but it shouldn't affect my TV right? My TV is HDMI whereas my monitor is vga to dvi adapter Also i posted about this under the monitor section but didn't get any replies. Would greatly appreciate some help

Every so often when I boot my computer up I get a 'disk read error' then when it does boot my disk spikes to 99% at random and slows everything down to a snails pace. I have disabled windows indexing and that fixed the problem for a little while but here we are again. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated

Hi, I'm looking into air cooler's for my cpu to replace the stock one as it's not a cooler and it's louder than a convoy of american muscles cars. So i'm torn between the Hyper 212 Evo and the be quiet! Shadow rock, I have a intel i5-4440 if that helps. I would like it to be quiet but effective. Thanks

Hello guys, I need 3 new case fans for my CM Scout 2. Should I buy the Noctua NF-F12 PPC or the BeQuiet Silent Wings 2? http://www.noctua.at/main.php?show=productview&products_id=78&lng=en http://www.bequiet.com/en/casefans/322 Are the Noctuas overkill for a case fan? And is the air pressure of the BeQuiets high enough? Merry Christmas! FreshTube

Let me start off by saying that this mouse is not widely available anymore. Logitech stopped making this mouse. Sure, you can get it from some sketchy ass "World Buy 365 Inc." seller on Amazon, but I wouldn't trust it. This is the Logitech G300. It's a cute little claw grip mouse. It's a pretty damn good mouse. Cost me $30 about 2 years ago, still costs around that on Amazon. Ran out of bananas--grenade for scale. Didn't write much, but if y'all show interest, I can make more reviews. Feel free to request items, I might have them.

First of all would the Dark rock pro 3 fit in my case? My Case= Zalman 11 Plus http://www.zalman.com/global/product/Product_Read.php?Idx=476 If Yes then is the extra performance worth the extra noise you get from 2 fans instead of one? My Pc sits on top of my desk Right next to me and the amd 8350 stock cooler drives me crazy! Plus I have to disable half of the bloody cores and underclock it to not fricking over heat! Dark Rock 3 http://www.bequiet.com/en/cpucooler/483 Dark Rock Pro 3 http://www.bequiet.com/en/cpucooler/482 Price doesn't matter to me #Stock coolers Suck

I am going to be getting this air cooler to cool my i5-4670K and i was just wondering if it will fit inside a Fractal Design Define R4 windowed and if it will interfere with my ram which is 2x8gb sticks of Corsair Vengeance Pro. The ram will be put on a Asus Maximus VII Ranger.
