Good day all, I am in need of a KVM switch to be able to switch my equipment from my personal pc to my work machine. Here is what I have Personal PC Keyboard Wireless Mouse 2 1080p 144hz monitor 1 1440p 165hz monitor Work Laptop Running Linux Fedora Dell Latitude 5420 I was looking into things like HDMI/DP switches just for the video but then I realized that switching my keyboard and mouse and all that over will start being a pain as well. Does anyone have any product recommendation for a KVM that wont break my bank, my budget would be probably under $200 USD but would prefer someone not as high, if it needs to be higher please let me know why and I will consider. This is the first time I will be experimenting with KVM switches so if you need more information about my pc or the work let me know if that is needed. Thanks!

Hey! i am building a new pc, which i intend to use mostly for gaming + multitasking (ie, youtube, vlc, chrome, music, visual studio, while playing games.) i also want to be able to stream at 720p 30 fps while i game at atleast 60 fps. and when i game+ multitask i wana push as many frames possibly 144hz at least. Monitor 1 monitor 2 (main screen) monitor 3 BenQ 60Hz AoC G2460PF 144hz AoC G2460PF 144hz all runing at 1920x1080p these screens are from my old pc and i will reuse them. i also have a 1080TI which i will use and i might use a gtx 970 or a gtx 760TI for one of my off screens ( monitor 1 or 3) Now to the hard choice i need a cpu that can keep up with me the 1080TI, streaming at 720p 30fps and the higher frame rates i want when gaming while not streaming. I want to try streaming, and if i think it is fun then maybe i get a second Pc with capture card for streaming purpouses. i am thinking of an i7 7700k kaby lake or a i7 6800k or 6850k or zen 1800x but i don't know if the 6800 and the 6850 is just the same processor at diffrent out of the box clockspeeds or what. is the i7 7700 the best option for frame pushing and will it be able to stream at 30fps while gameing at 60fps+ and will it give me 144fps while gaming and watching youtube/vlc + using chrome VS and other programs. baring in mind that i have 3 monitors not just one or should i go with more cores on my cpu to handle the loads ?

I have an R9 390, and I have 3 displays. 1 - 1920x1080 monitor connected by hdmi-hdmi 1 - 1920x1200 monitor connected by dvi-dvi 1 - 3440x1440 monitor connected by displayport-displayport When I connected all three they would work fine, but when I turned on eyefinity all 3 would stop working until I pulled 1 monitor off. Then I updated drivers which fixed it, but I still wanted to try eyefinity. When I went to radeon settings the eyefinity advanced setup would not start. So I tried basic setup, when i click this all 3 screens went black like previously and wouldn't turn on until I unplugged one of them. What is even happening. I would like eyefinity to work or at least all 3 of my monitors at the same time. Thanks.

I have, placed physically from left to right: NAGA-II 1680x1050 20" - Playstation3D Display 1920x1080 24" - NAGA 1680 x 1050 20" I am not trying to run the PS3D Display in 3D, just 2D. I only use it for 3D with my PS3 on the other HDMI input. All monitors are on my GTX 690 connected via DVI and the miniDisplayport is open. System info: P8Z77V-LK MoBo 16GB RAM i7-2600K GTX 690 - Monitors GTX 550Ti - Dedicated PhysX (no displays) Win10 x64 Pro Currently, I am stuck with 3840x1024. This seems to be a remnant from when the leftmost display was a 1280x1024 Dell thing. I want the resolutionz! Can you help? Is it possible to run surround at these resolutions: 5280x1050 5040x1050 Or anything higher than the 3840x1024 I seem to be stuck with. Thanks for reading and any advice or help in advance!!! I am also curious to know if I should be using the displayport output so all monitors are on the same GPU. Currently I have this: (Yes, the NagaII is physically swapped on my desk with the Naga but that shouldn't matter.) Should I get a mini-Displayport to DVI adapter for the monitor currently connected to DVI on GPU B and connect it to mini-Displayport on GPU A? Will this result in any performance &/ surround resolution increase to more than 1024 lines? If I should consolidate monitors to a single GPU, do I need to pay more than $10 for an adapter? Or should I get a mini-Displayport to HDMI adapter and connect the PS3DD that way and put the nagas on DVI? Does it matter in terms of performance which connectors im using to which monitors? Educate me, please people. This has been suggested as explanation by a friend: " Because your PS3 display is wider than the Nagas, but not much taller (in terms of lines of resolution), you are limited to the common aspect ratios they can all support in denominations of 5:4(x3) because it has to render the full resolution in equal lines (size of the monitor not mattering) or else it would be rendering multiple streams of different sizes which those cards are not designed to do. " Is this what I'm dealing with? Without swapping the nagas for two 24" 1080p panels, or the PS3DD for another 1050 panel, am I stuck at 1024? the only thing I don't follow in that logic is the "common aspect ratios" part. See here: If I add any other monitors in the future, they will be auxiliary and run by either the MoBo Intel GPU or possibly the 550Ti. I have also used Android apps to allow a tablet or phone to be used as an additional display on a PC, but this would likely NOT be recommended for use as a gaming or fast-response monitor. Probably not even for video playback unless the audio were routed to the device's speakers to sync with the video. /Sidetrack Anyway, do my connections questions make sense and does anyone have answers? For example, if I have work and media on my outside monitors, and I decide to play a game, is it possible for me to run the game fullscreen on my center monitor? I have a Radeon HD 7950 too, I'm sure this would be more than enough to do that (I don't like surround gaming, so that won't happen), but a confirmation on that would be dandy too.

So, I have a client that I'm building a computer for. My client is big on FSX and other demanding simulators. He wants to use this computer for actual flight training, so it needs to be as fluid and smooth running as possible. From what I've read, simulators are very CPU demanding. Here are the clients requirements: -3 1080p monitors, basically wants to have a "virtual cockpit" set up. ( lol, cockpit ) -wants to use max settings with graphic enhancing mods, doesn't want any stuttering or lagging -money is not much of an issue for the client So, I've never played many simulator games. I'm wondering if I should go 4770k or 3930k (if sim games are really as CPU dependent as people make them out to be) and maybe a 4gb 770. Any suggestions are much appreciated! Thanks!
