After updating the BIOS on my lenovo z51 cause I had some graphics card problems and this was suggested to me . Now it can't read my hard drive and giges me this error messages. Also when I try to access the BIOS I just get a flashing dash on the top left and it won't open. Can anyone help me this is urgent !

Hi everyone, I've desperately tried everything I know to reinstall Windows for the last 2 days, I've done this 10 times successfully on this machine alone in the past, but for some reason I can't get it to work now. I'm trying to install Windows 7 64 bit in UEFI mode to a Samsung 960 Pro on an ASUS X99 USB 3.1 Deluxe board. Here's my basic procedure: -Download 64 bit Windows 7 ISO by putting product number into microsoft.com. -Format USB stick clean, then use Rufus to create a bootable USB stick, with GPT Partition table, FAT32, Default Cluster size, bootable media box checked. -Go into BIOS, force system to boot from the UEFI: version of my USB stick listed there. -Windows installer comes up, do custom install. Load the Samsung 960 NVMe controller driver so that Windows can see the drive during install. -Drive shows up, I go into format it and create the partitions, but Windows will only create 2 partitions instead of the necessary 3. It creates 128 MB MSR and Primary, but no 100 MB System partition. -Install will instantly freeze, delay and then freeze, or even fully install Windows. When that happens it installs to the 960 Pro with 1 partition shown in DIsk Management, just the primary partition. If you try to boot back into it without the install media it goes straight back to BIOS. I can only get to the desktop of the Windows install if the USB is used to boot, and even then the desktop freezes shortly after trying to do anything and you're forced to power down. That's the gist of what's going on, now here is the extensive list of things I've tried. -I've tried using my original Windows install CD instead of the downloaded ISO. -I've used the same USB stick that I've used for 3+ years to do all my bootable installs, everything from Windows 7-10, Linux, Mac OS, etc. This one has always worked. -I've tried a different USB stick. -I've tried creating the bootable USB stick myself from the command line and without using Rufus, following guides online. -I've tried creating the installer configured as GPT for UEFI and as MBR for UEFI in Rufus, on both of the USB sticks I've tried. -I've flashed my motherboard BIOS version to the latest release. -I've gotten the latest NVMe controller driver from Samsung, and other websites. -I've created a bootable Samsung installer to update the Firmware of the 960 Pro. -I've tried slipstreaming that driver from a storage HDD, as well as from another USB during install. -I've tried using DISKPART during the install to manually create the 3 partitions on the drive, but when I try to install Windows says that it cannot create or find a system partition. -I've done a complete, deep format of the 960 Pro with "clean all" in DISKPART, as well as a deep format of the USB sticks I'm trying before running Rufus. -I've tried disabling all 4 secure boot keys in BIOS because when attempting to install with them active you get errors about it. -I've tried setting my BIOS to only recognize UEFI instead of UEFI and legacy boot under CSM. -I've tried using the "active" command in DISKPART to force partitions and drives to be labeled as Boot disk, but only get an error saying that the "active" command can only be used with fixed MBR disk partitions. I'm sure there's some other stuff that I've tried too, but its been two days and I can't see straight anymore. This was supposed to be a quick 1 or 2 hour clean install to get a fresh backup image after installing all my software so I wouldn't ever have to do this again. I've had these exact same issues when trying to install Windows 7 in UEFI mode on a regular SATA Samsung 840 EVO so I know its not JUST the NVMe drive causing issues. This happened before and I wrote a huge list of everything I did to finally get it working down in my notebook, and here I am following all that stuff and absolutely none of it works correctly. Please, any help or suggestions would be very much appreciated.

I've examined tutorials and had assistance picking parts from many experienced people and even used a build guide to ensure everything was good and compatible. Yesterday, I sat down and put the PC together piece by piece, making sure to hook everything up correctly and relaxed after doing so. Today I decided to make sure it actually turned on and it did do so indeed. Initially, I installed the RAM into the A1 and B1 slots of the motherboard. Though the manual stated this was an acceptable configuration, the computer would start up, idle, reset and then begin beeping three times, repeating these beeps after a brief moment of silence. I've included a video of this (sorry for the poor quality. Only have my phone's camera.) I mentioned this to a friend who suggested to swap to slots A2 and B2. After doing this, the computer started up, but slow B2 began to smoke and a quickly turned it off. However, the provided image shows the result to the ram. The motherboard seems perfectly intact minus a small amount of soot around the location of burned RAM. I have removed the RAM and disconnected the power supply. I am completely at a loss and, as a first time builder, am worried that this is my own fault. Hi, I recently built my PC. Here are the specs: CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-7700K CPU @ 4.20GHz (8 CPUs) GPU: GTX 1080 8 GB Memory: 16 GB RAM DDR4 Ever since I built it, runned it, and installed Windows 10 it's been lagging on me, like sometimes the mouse' frames drop and the loading ring appears. Games/apps have also been crashing recently and windows take time to appear. Temperature is 29 Celsius average for the CPU. What's the solution? (Hopefully it isn't bad news...) Thanks.

I HAVE 1700X AND X370 MOTHERBOARD MSI GAMING PLUS..Problem is it is running at 3.5 ghz on auto ,When i do a minute overclcock it crashes eg 3.6, 3.65 etc on 1.25v earlier it was working well .I dont understand why it is crashing .See i tried updating bios still crashes ,i tried disabling hpet and enabling it too crashes in both cases,I tried upgrading chipset drivers still crashes.I used ryzen master dram voltage 1.35 soc voltage 1.2 vcore 1.25 still crashes.I did in bios still crashes. My graphic card r9 380x.powersupply 750 w new antec gold.Please help i am confused as hell.HELP PLEASE

Up to about 2-3 weeks ago, the volume was normal (9-10 is what I call normal), but now even when my windows sounds and the razer synapse is on 1%, the computer is too loud, I can barely play games, not to mention Youtube or Crunchy Roll. It's like that for about 2-3 weeks (I thought it would go as it came, suddenly). I tried disconnecting and reconnecting, the drivers are up to date, everything is fine, except the sound/volume being too loud. Thanks!

Hi LTT Group, My system specs are : CPU : Ryzen 7 1700 stock no overclock RAM : 8GB 2400 Mhz Kingston HyperX (no profile selected) Cooler : Stock CPU Wraith Cooler Motherboard : Gigabyte GA-AB350-Gaming 3 The issue is CPU-z is showing me load sometimes my cpu is using excess of 1.400 v on vcore whereas i have no overclock what so ever on my system. It keeps jumping around 1.1 - 1.4 automatically. I know 1.4v is way too much and it should not go there. But I am running everything on stock and there is no overclock configured on my motherboard settings. Then why it is doing that? My Temp are normal though. Please help me how can I keep it lower? I dont want to kill my chip because of this. Please help

Ive literally just put together my little brothers pc together and the CPU temps keep climbing. It starts off at 66c which is crazy high. I cant even run it in BIOS for more than 15 seconds or it hits 88c. The cpu cooler is a Corsair H110i GTX. Just tested it on another mobo and was running fine at 30c. Same case and everything. WTF IS HAPPENING. Ive even used Thermal Grizzly Condocutonaut as the TIM so transfer should be good?

Just today I've started seeing a weird problem which I can immediately pin is some sort of virus or malware: I can tell from both the nature of this message and it's language that it is not official. It happens on multiple sites. First, on Blender's website, when I went to check it's version history. Next, on my Facebook, then YouTube, and now on LTT forums. It even happens when I open a new tab: Immediately upon hitting CTRL+T, I get his message: Hitting either OK, Cancel, or ESC, brings me to a blank page with this URL: My first instinct was to run a full antivirus scan (Avast Pro Antivirus), and an Adware scan (Adware Remover Tool by TSA), however I've realized that if this alert is in itself a virus, and it's telling me to run an antivirus scan, it probably is best to not listen to it: for whatever reason. I've tested in Edge, and it seems not to happen there: it is a Chrome only problem. Any ideas as to the first step I should take? EDIT: I just updated to the most recent version of Chrome, and it still happens. It now is happening with every page I open, instead of every few.

So i have a Toshiba Satellite L50-A It used to run windows 10 but that was really slow and buggy on it so i installed windows 7 ultimate. everything works except for the scrolling of the touch pad. i tried installing all the drivers i could find but none of them worked. when i try to install synaptic drivers only one of them install sucessfully and the others jut say an error saying installation failed. i dont know what to do if someone can find me the correct driver i would be very grateful.

Hi, I have got a karaoke machine with a load of cds and i wanted to make a tracklist of all the songs on it but i cant find the best software for free. When i use software it just comes up as track 1, ect. I would like to print out a tracklist for a party to find songs easier. Dont worry found a solution!!!!????
