My pc gets really toasty, i have a Ryzen 5 2600 with AMD's stock cooler, a Gigabyte 1660 super, and a Darkflash dlm 21 case with 4 fans (1 rear exhaust, 2 top exhaust and 1 front intake), it's been really hot here in the Philippines (and unfortunately, our ac broke down) recently and I was wondering how to keep my temps better. Will an air cooler/aio or a better case help?

my temp is so high when loading up games or installing something it's reaching 70c to 80c my idle temp is 45c to 54c my cinebench r23 temp is 67c my temp while gaming 60 to 75 it depends in game my main problem is, is this normal when i'm opening tarkov or loading to a map my cpu temp will spike up to 75 to 80c CPU : Ryzen 9 5900x (stock) Cooler : NZXT Kraken Z73 Mobo : Asus ROG Strix X570 E Gaming

Hello! So I use HWMonitor to monitor my hardware's temps and I keep noticing something about the CPUs. Just after POST and logging into Windows 10, the temperatures of my 5800x are above 60, reaching up to 70. It cools down to around 40-42 degrees after one or two minutes though, I assume this is the AIO catching up to the heat? Also, when opening new applications the CPU would jump up by up to 20 degrees before dropping down to ~4 degrees over what it was before. So is this all normal or no? Thanks!

Hey everyone. I got an Nvidia Quadro 4000 about two years ago. I had limited budget so that's the best I could afford for 3D workspaces & playing games. After some time, my Quadro started acting weird. The temps of the card went as above as 70°C to some times as much as 80°C. When playing Rocket League, it would reach 99°C and I had to use an external fan which was faced at the GPU to make it keep working or else my system would shut down. Any ideas what could be causing the issue & how to fix it? By the way, I used MSI Afterburner for noting all the temps.

I’m trying to pick my parts for a mid-high range gaming pc. The Ryzen 7 5800x seems like a perfect fit for the build I want, but I am extremely worried about the reviews I’ve seen. It seems to be one of Ryzen’s hottest running CPUs and I don’t want anything to happen to my brand new PC when running games. I don’t plan on any overclocking, and I wanted water cooling but now I’m not so sure. I’m not even sure if I should still get the 5800x. I would go for the 5900x, but I’m sure you all know it’s pretty hard to find right now. Just looking for opinions and recommendations. Thank you!

I have an i7 8700 cpu. The load temperature has been drastically rising throughout the week. Normally my pc idles at 34-40 degrees with the occasional hiccup to 55 for a split second. Earlier this week it was 62 degrees now just launching minecraft sends my pc to 70 degrees for like 6-10 seconds before dropping down to 30-40 in game. The thermal paste was applied in october. This is the same regardless of the power profile that I set my pc on. Is this unnatural?

I recently build myself a PC SPECS: Processor: i7 10700k GPU: MSI RTX 3070 Ventus 2X OC MoBo: Gigabyte Z490M RAM: Gskill 16 GB 3600MHz (single channel) Case: Antec NX210 (includes 3 intake and 1 exhaust fan) CPU Cooler: Ant Esports ICE 612 My CPU and GPU thermal throttles really hard. GPU 90 -95 C and CPU easily 95-100 C. The games run smooth but I think I am doing a lot of damage to my hardware and what can I do to improve my temperatures? Also the ambient temperature is also not less. I live in Delhi and the temperatures can reach upto 48 in peak summers. PS does anyone know how to open the front panel of the case?

I have a question about GPU Temperature, the new update of NVIDIA allows you to lower your GPU Temp Target. My question is, is this bad for your GPU? Because i wanna lower my GPU Temp for ingame to something like 70C, but i dont know if its bad to do it. I hope someone can help me out.

I was Monitoring a New 1660super which I got for my second system. Its a Zotac Twin Fan Edition. I was stress testing it with Aida64 and found that the Die temps was around 60-63 and VRM temps were around 70C. Is it normal for this card? I measured the gpu temps in Aida64 and it was 65 and my IR thermometer read 63 and VRM temps on the IR gun read around 70C. The temps with the IR gun was taken on the backside of the PCB. Ambient room temps is 34C Airflow is 3x120 in front, 1x 120 exhaust in back and 2x 120 exhaust on top via a 240mm AIO. GPU fans @2700RPM

Hi all, I have an Intel Core i7 6700K that is cooled by a Corsair H110i GTX AIO. I decided to delid it as it was running at 95C with only a very mild overclock. After delidding, I cleaned up all the black sealant around the edges until it was perfectly clean with no traces left, and then I applied some thermal paste to the bare die, then put the heatspreader loosely on top (just floating) and then reinstalled the CPU like that into my PC. After this, I was absolutely blown away and really impressed, temps dropped from 95C to only 55C or so, same overclock settings, nothing changed except delidding. But then slowly, day by day, the temps got worse and crept up to the point where they are hitting 100C and the CPU is thermal throttling. I then removed the CPU, cleaned it, reapplied the thermal paste on the die, and the temps were good again. But then the same thing happened after a few days, temps got worse until it literally hits 100C and throttles just from dragging a window around. I have tried a bunch of different thermal pastes and all of them have this effect. I had actually repasted my GPU a few months prior and that has been perfectly fine, the temps on my GPU improved drastically and have stayed that way. I have a feeling that I am a victim of thermal paste "pump-out" but I am not 100% sure. The same thing happens if I lie the PC flat horizontally on my desk instead of vertically. Is this a known thing? Am I supposed to lap something, or use liquid metal instead? Is there a special application method or paste I must use?

During loading screens my CPU temperature shoots up by a lot. On average in game -- the CPU is 40-50 degrees. However; Say I boot minecraft; and in the time it takes me to get to the minecraft start screen, the temperature had to be getting into the 80s before lowering back down. So what I did was lower down the VCORE 1.15. So temperatures now only get to 65/66 during loading. MSI afterburner tells me the cpu is using 70-100 watts of power during that time of loading. The TDP of the CPU says its 65 watts. I applied fresh thermal paste back in October. is there something going on with my CPU? Good day to all. May I ask the thermal enthusiasts here? Is this Thermal Paste good enough? Or better at least than the stock thermal paste on my Ryzen 5 2600? I'm currently having 75°C max / full load on my CPU while using the stock cooler. I bought this thermal paste a while now, for just only $6. Is this good enough to replace my out-of-the-box pre-applied thermal paste on my Ryzen 5 2600? Thank you in advance to you all. God bless!

I have an acer nitro an515-53 laptop, with some slight modifications. The main issue I'm having is that the i5 8300H will get in the high 90s during load. After applying new zinc oxide thermal paste, the max temps dropped about 5 degrees C. Even idling, the cpu will go above 70 and eventually be in the 80s if doing light application work. These results happen when the laptop is receiving plenty of airflow with max fan speed on. I'm wondering if anyone has any ideas, other than keeping it always on low power mode like I currently do, to make the cpu cooler during idle and load while not on low power.

i stopped playing a game, and noticed my cpu temps pretty high at idle, so i tried to reapply thermal paste to see if that would solve the temps issue, but no. The usage is very low and as i said, my power plan is at balanced

So I have just recently been noticing this issue, I am not sure if it persisted before hand or not. Anytime I load a game my CPU Utilization will jump to around 50-60% and my temps will spike all the way to 70c or sometimes ever 75c causing my pump and fans to ramp up. Once I get loaded into the game and am playing I have no issues. My temps will run around 35c-45c and my Utilization will be around 20-30%. I am wondering if this is something normal or if I should be concerned about my CPU. CPU - i9-9900KF Cooler - Fractal Design S36 (I was having this issue prior to the cooler swap and it persisted after) I just recently upgraded to the S36 because I thought maybe having a bigger radiator and one more fan could alleviate the high temps, So I know that thermal paste application is good and was good prior to the swapping of the cooler. Hello. This is my first time i'm here. I just got DeepCool Gammaxx 400 v2 for my PC and Arctic Cooling MX4 2 days ago. After I installed the cooler, my CPU temperature reached 38 - 50 degrees Celsius when idle / load at 1300 RPM (I used ASRock Fan-Tastic Tuning). Is it normal or not? Sorry for my bad English. Hi all, My friend has an RX 570 4GB, the MSI Gaming X version. When he is idling or playing a non intensive game, he idles around 54 degrees. However, once he clicks on any bigger game, the most common being Black Ops Cold War, his GPU temperature jumps up very quickly to about 90 degrees, but, when he closes the game it goes right back down to 55ish in seconds. I'm planning on replacing his thermal paste for him and cleaning his cooler. Any other ideas on why this would be happening so quickly and rapidly?

Hello, i bought a new PSU last week, everything was alright until today, i was just playing a game, then i was about to quit it, but my PC went off with a loud pop sound, i disconnected every cable i had there, i took off the PSU which was hot and smelled like it is fried. So i replaced it with my older PSU, but my CPU and GPU fans were like crazy, GPU had 27°C which was normal when i turned the PC on, but CPU cores had 67-70°C which is not normal cause on average when i turn my PC on it's usually 46°C One note, the whole process of replacing PSU took me about half an hour so CPU should have been cold already right? So im wondering if it messed up the CPU/Mobo or if it's hot just because of that PSU failure or if it is broken and i have to replace it.

I am a Computer Science Student from Germany in my 2 semester and really interested in PC's so I think I can follow what the responses say. I am sorry if this is a easy fix and I haven't seen it in the Internet. I have a problem with my PC, my current PC is about 2.5 years old. I never had any issues with it till now. My specs are CPU: Intel i9-9900k CPU-Cooler: An AIO With 1 Fan i don't know exactly which it is GPU: 2080ti Motherboard: MSI MPG z390 GAMING EDGE AC (MS-7B17) RAM: 48gb OS: Windows 10 Pro Build 19041 Ok now to the problem. Yesterday i played some video games and everything worked fine. Than my pc started to lag and stutter. After that it crashed. I don't remember what happened then but it displayed some kind of message. Ok so yesterday i tried to fix it but I didn't get far. I discovered that the CPU temperature according to the tool Core Temp and my BIOS is at 100°C (212°F). It displayed 100°C as temperature even after my PC was turned off for 2h. I tried to fix it with a BIOS update but i think that it has nothing to do with the BIOS and the problem could be with the CPU. If i start my PC and look in the BIOS it says it is at just 40°C but it rises really fast to 100°C. I did check the CPU if it really was that hot but the CPU-Fans are cold and working fine. I can use my PC but the CPU is throttling itself to only 0.5 GHz which is really slow and i can't do anything really at the PC. Currently I am doing a Antivirus scan of the whole system, but i think this wont help me and it is really slow because of the throttled down CPU.

Just wanted to run this by anyone who knows more than I. Recently my 14month old Gigabyte RTX 2070 started ramping up and down fan speed, like someone revving a car. Going up to max speed then back down after a few seconds when playing games. Noisy and irritating. After some googling it seems some 20 series Gigabyte cards had inferior thermal paste applied to them which crumbled and didn't aid in transferring heat very well and the card overrides any custom fan curves to apply max speed to cool the card down. I was only ever getting 81C when under load on the card though. Today I took the card apart found some very dodgy looking thermal paste, removed it and applied some fresh new paste. Brilliant! Solved the fan revving problem, so far so good and I'm getting better performance perhaps 10-30fps more in MW and Warzone, but card now goes to 85C under load. I'm not sure where the temperature readings are taken on a GPU but is it possible with the inferior thermal paste the GPU was experiencing a much higher temperature than it was actually showing? Hence the high fan speeds and now with some decent conductivity its showing a more accurate temperature? If anyone knows why this might be I'd appreciate it. Thank you very much, Tom

So leave all that I am new into pc and all I have some questions for every techy people (lovely people) 1st what is the best temperature for cpu as well as GPU to give its best performance even if it's like end to end like max for temp for both . Is it good or ok ? 2nd if we start mining cyrptocurrency than is it like good for gpu life like suppose if a GPU is going to work like 7 years and if the same model GPU start mining so will the years will decrease or its just my thinking Please respond to this it means a lot

Hey guys, few weeks ago I built a new 5900X system but im having some temperature issues with it. Also it seems like I have an issue with the AIO too. This is the first time im having an AMD setup by the way. Thanks for the help. Issues and experiences: -Idle temps (Doing absolutely nothing) are 60-65c which are really high and after reading peoples experiences with it, it should be around the 40's. Also 5 minute Cinebench R20 temps are 72-78c. Even with side panel off its only like 3-5c better so its not an airflow issue. -Tried downvolting with negative offset but not even with 0.1 volt was stable so I just gave up on that. -This is the second AIO im having, previous one was a Kraken X63, I got little bit worse temps with it and weird fan speed ramp up/down at temp spikes, the new AIO doesnt have this issue but it seems like it has a pump issue... (Tested this by unplugging the pump fan for a few seconds and the noise gone away, so 100% its the pump fan) -Idle CPU Voltages seem really high. -Also there are these random temp spikes when using the system moderately like browsing the web and I have no idea why should the CPU spike to 70-80c when just browsing the web. These are the specs: ASUS STRIX X570-E Ryzen 9 5900X Arctic Liquid Freezer II 360 G.SKILL Trident Z Neo 2X16GB 3600Mhz CL16 Asus 970 Evo Plus 1TB Corsair HX1200i Fractal Design Define S2 Sapphire Nitro+ RX 580 Arctic Liquid Freezer II 360 - Audio file LINK Recommend listening to it in VLC with 125% audio otherwise its not really audible. The pump fan gives this really annoying hum noise even at 20% speeds. After reading some peoples experiences with it, it seems like it shouldnt do this and the pump fan should be really silent. The radiator fans themselves are totally silent even at 100% they barely audible. Which would be quite unlucky considering this is the second cooler but oh well... 0:00-0:15 20% 0:15-0:30 50% 0:30-0:51 100% (Seems like the VRM fan took over the pump fans noise but that should be normal) 0:59-01:10 0% 01:11-01:19 20% again Some test results So without the core boost the temp. drops to normal values like 35-45 with really low voltages, so im guessing that this suggests there is gotta be something wrong how ASUS set up the default values, since everything else is on default except PBO and curve optimizer, or its the CPU itself thats the issue. If you ask why I have PBO turned on is because the complete default settings gives the same results in temps except it does worse in performance, so yeah. Idle temps after few hours: Without XFR (Looks like PBO doesnt work without core boost enabled): With XFR+PBO and -30 negative offset on the curve optimizer (8168 score):

I'm using RGB Fusion 2.0, for GPU only. The intelligent mode is set to Green - Yellow - Red. But we can't change the colors... I would like to change it to White - Orange - Red or something. Is there any text file we can edit?

Hello to everyone, as this is my first topic here. Now, straight to the issue. For some time now (practically all the way from launch day) I'm a "proud" owner of the "Gigabyte GeForce RTX 3070 Vision OC" GPU. I say "proud" because the card is nothing but problems. Not mentioning the rather high 85°C in all games, no matter if it's Cyberpunk 1440p on highest settings or, get this, something like Terraria. All the while case airflow is not restricted, it's not dusty inside, I enabled GPU fans to be always on, even added two more case fans. No change at all. Main issue is, yesterday, without any warning, it started The Mother of all coil whines. Or, that's what I think the noise is. Curiously, it's there ONLY when the card is under load, at least 50% of GPU usage. I have a video for you. In it, I open a game and the whine immediately starts. Then, I click out of the game to my second monitor, it mostly goes away. Without clicking back to the game window, I proceed to move the mouse around on the monitor where the game is opened and the whine is there only when I move cursor around. When I drag the cursor around, the whine is there constantly. VID-20210119-202958.mp4 After recording I stopped all the PC fans or put them on silent mode and measured how loud the whine is. Now, I could just put headphones on, but the whine is 45dB at minimum! Even my cats start freaking out at the loud weird noise. I tried using V-Sync in games, FreeSync/G-Sync on my monitor, even lowering the power limit of the GPU in MSI Afterburner. Did absolutely diddly-squat for the level of the noise, except now it shows up at random intervals or places in games. Now, I'm no tech expert and that's where my "expertise" ends. Any of you guys have any ideas for the coil whine or the temperature? Would really appreciate it.
