Hi guys, for the last couple of months I have been black screens when using my Sapphire R9 290 Tri-X OC. It is a very peculiar issue, because it only happens when I am outside of a game e.g. with an open browser (with hardware acceleration turned off), or other 2D applications, I believe it has only happened in game once or twice and that was when I had some 2D applications open as well as the game. I have noticed it often happens when I open Origin's client - it would crash within a few minutes - and that's how I tested the fixes I have tried that are stated below. The screen goes black (but still on) and the PC hangs - I tried accessing it through TeamViewer from my laptop, but it appears offline, so it definitely hangs, it's not just a GPU driver issue. When I press the restart button on my PC it would sometimes do the loud buzz. The card never goes over 85 degrees Celsius, because of the gigantic cooler and the three fans - the reasons I like it so much. The fans don't even rev-up, cause I've got an intake fan just next to the GPU on the side of the case (an old CooleMaster case). Stuff I've tried so far: I am now officially out of ideas, it seems like it's a voltage issue on the lower or lowest power stages, but I am just guessing. Would forcing constant voltage help? Should I bake the GPU in the oven? Has anyone had similar issues and know if I can revive this card? Or is it just dead for good?

I bought a Sapphire Rx 480 Nitro+ 4GB that the seller said was bricked. I know, I assumed the risk. I connected it, started the pc with the iGPU and started ATI ATIFlash / AMD VBFlash. I checked the exact model number GPU-Z gave me and downloaded the exact bios for my card from TechPowerup. I tried to flash it and It said "this version of bios is already installed" and when I tried other bioses (bioses? plural of bios) they all said "subsystem id mismatch". Before this GPU-Z didn't recognize it, but after the first intent to flash and a restart of the pc it now recognized it. Both Windows and GPU-Z recognize the card as an Rx 480, but GPU-Z doesn't detect any clock speed or memory or temperatures, and windows says "Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)." I checked the drivers and tried downloading them again from AMD's website with the adrenaline program, but still the same problems. I don't think it is dead because windows actually recognizes it, but is it dead? should I try to force flash a different bios? My PSU is an EVGA 850 B3, so enough power I believe. Also, one of the fans, the first one, doesn't spin and the second one is always very fast and loud. I guess this could be part of the problem, but I also assume they are unrelated and I can fix the fan problem after having the card recognized properly, but I guess is importart for you to know. Finally, my Sapphire Nitro+ (or OC, OC NITRO, OC NITRO+? I actually dont understand this models) is a weird model that is not the regular 4gb one with double bios but one with only one bios and lower clock speeds, I think. The model number is 1002-67DF-174B-E353.

hi, I want to know if someone with specific data could refute the superiority of the 5700xt nitro + over 5700xt aorus, or if it`s the same stuff

Hello guys, I'm looking for help on an issue I'm having, I recently bought a Sapphire R9 390 (I don't know if it's the 390 or 390x ) 8GB graphics card (I bought it for $100 locally because I was looking for a cheap GPU while I get a RTX 3080 or 6800XT) The guy that sell me the card try it in front of me and the card worked perfectly but when I put in in my PC I doesn't work, I have no video signal of any of the ports (except for DVI I haven't tried that one because I don't have a neither a DVI cable or monitor I've tried on 2 different displays: 1. LG 34UC80-B (3440x1440) I tried both HDMI and DP and the other monitor is 2. LG 27UD58-B (3840x2160) also i tried HDMI and DP The card seems to be fine because it is warm (not hot) to the touch when the PC is turned on, the fans don't spin (I have had other triple fan cards that on idle the fans won't spin so I don't know if this is normal or if it's an issue) I have tried all of the PCI slots of my motherboard, I've tried the card on 2 of my PC's, I've tried pressing the BIOS button on the card and it lights up blue but thats it, I have tried using 1 double 8pin power conector and 2 8 pi single power cables and nothing... i don't know if the card is damaged or whats my issue so if any of you could help me i would really appreciated Here are the specs of the 2 PCs i have tried the GPU on: 1st System: CPU: Threadripper 2950X CPU Cooler: Deep Cool Castle 360 Motherboard: Gigabyte X399 Aorus Xtreme RAM: 64GB Corsair Dominator Platinum RGB 3000MHz C15 Storage: Samsung 1TB M.2 Nvme Powe Supply: EVGA SuperNova G3 1000W 80+ Gold OS: Windows 10 Pro _________________________________ 2nd System: CPU: Threadripper 1950X CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Wraith Ripper Air Cooler Motherboard: AsRock X399 Phantom Gaming 6 RAM: 48GB Teamgroup T-Force Night Hawk 3200MHz C16 Storage: Arata 1TB M.2 Power Supply: Asus ROG Strix 850W 80+ Gold OS: Windows 10 Home

Hello, I've recently installed a sapphire rx 580 nitro 4gb card into my rig to test it. The sapphire led logo comes on but the fans do not spin and there is no display. I've connected a working gpu with it and booted into windows where I could see if it would be detected there but it's not being detected. Any way of fixing the problem? Thank you. I'm using: ryzen 5 3600 16gb corsair vengeance rgb Gigabyte rtx 2060 1000w corsair psu Asus strix b450-f motherboard

So I've got a opportunity to purchase a SAPPHIRE NITRO+ RX 6700 XT GAMING OC at a good price ($550 - $570) considering my country. So now I m confused for some reason whether I should buy a 6700 xt or not. I've been waiting to get a good RTX card (like RTX 3080) for a very long time. At this moment I can buy the 6700 xT for a good price ($550 - $570). But other than this card, everything is super messy. It is even cheaper than a good RTX 3060 (let alone RTX 3060ti). Recent price drops never hit the market in my country. And I really doubt It'll take effect in this year or next. My main target is to use a GPU for 3d, motion graphics, rendering and gaming. I m currently working in Blender & Unreal Engine and I m direly in need of a new GPU (my current one barely works). So at this point I need some help. 1. I know RX 6700 xt is quite good for 1440p gaming. But how good it is for 3d work, motion graphics and rendering (like in EVEE render engine & latest Unreal Engine 5)??? 2. RX 6700 xt doesn't have any CUDA core (don't know how good its equivalent Stream Processors) and TENSOR core. And its RTX core is not that good like NVIDIA (Although I m not that eager for Ray Tracing but from my little knowledge RT core is quite handy for live rendering and 3d work).I don't care about NVIDIAs "Nvenc Encoder" cause I m not gonna stream. But how much I m gonna lose for my work If I go with 6700 xt instead of NVIDIA's RTX card??? I am considering for this 6700 xt card only for its low price. So plz help me out....

Hi everyone, I just discovered a retailer selling the Sapphire 6700 (non pulse version) for the same price as the 6600 xt nitro and 6650 xt pulse goes for (roughly 3.500 dkk) I see that the 6700 is somewhat slimmer - 41 mm vs the 49 mm 6700 pulse xt or 45 mm pulse 6650 xt. So my question is: Have anyone tried this card, and what are your impressions of the fan noise? A quiet card is quite important to me, so buying a little screamer is not on the table - although the retailer has a physical store in my city, so returning should be a small issue. Thanks in advance.

Changed the led color order from blue-yellow-red (cold, warm, hot) to red-yellow-blue (blue >75C which I never reached...) Might rewire 2x red wires into 6 wires so would display red for any temp or swap for white led, when I got time for that. For now, much better for black-red-white system to not have that blue led of the gpu most of the time. GPU plastic shroud off while drying, spray-painted red - not exactly airbrush quality, but will do :) (As you can see, it's red = cool, also GPU-Z says 47C right now, so all good - in case someone worries ;) ) Other things done: - Changed the stock (sh...) Corsair 140mm fans for Phanteks white, and added 3 in the front (just a few holes need to be drilled). - White led strips (2 top / 2 bottom, back and front each). - Demciflex Air 540 filter kit, so I actually keep the dust out. Corsair stock front filter does barely anything for fine dust. - Delidded 4790K (vice-only method, just needs vice, a bit a of Tesa Crepe (painter's tape), and some small towel around the vice in case the anything falls). - One handle broken off the plastic hdd tray ( :() - I actually broken all 4 off now, so it looks more symmetric lol... k© YES muahahhahaha

Hello, I just got new Sapphire Pulse RX6600 8GB and oh boy from start its been pain. First it was having trouble to give input signal to monitor when Windows login screen should come to screen. Bios and everything else works fine. Now login window is coming after about 1 minute wait. But now its giving me more problems. 1. Can not use GPU encoder with OBS Studio. It shows encoder overloaded. 2. With dual monitor setup, if i alt tab from game, second monitor goes black and comes back after 10-20 seconds. 3. If i leave my PC on and power off monitors, main monitor does not get image until i reboot system. Main monitor stays on and backlight is on, but no image. Second monitor works fine. Im waiting until holidays are over and then hoping to get answer from Sapphire support. Card bios version is 020.003.000.030.000000 Anyone else having same type problems and found any tricks to fix this? EDIT: I did install fresh drivers after using DDU in safe mode.

(This post might be a bit too long and detailed, but I don't want to be misunderstood and get mistaken advice, so bear with me. Thanks!) Hi. A few weeks back I was playing Black Mesa, when the game started to crash my PC, with the monitor displaying vertical stripes of 2 colours, each time having to hard reboot. Until after like the 6th time, the video card would simply not send a signal. Cleaned it and everything, and nothing. So I stored it away for about a week and used the PC with integrated graphics. When I tried again that week later, the card actually worked! But I realised that one of the 3 fans on the card was not working properly, so I assumed the card was originally failing due to overheating. This fan would turn a bit upon boot but then remain stationary. I installed Afterburner to test it a bit and found that it was behaving odd. It would only start spinning when I set the fan speed to about 85%, then when I lowered it, keeps spinning until 80%. So as of recently, I have not been doing any gaming with it. I tried Minecraft thinking that's safe, but it caused another fail (Luckily it rebooted no problem, but I wasn't gonna try it again). The Graphics Card I'm using is the Sapphire R9 280X Vapor-X Tri-X What should I do? Some seem to suggest replacing the fan, is that it? I've been using this setup for close to 5 years, but I currently don't have the money or motivation to upgrade anything, so if possible I'd like to keep using this GPU for a bit more and not pay too much. Thanks!

Hi. I need to disconnect my GPU fan due to it causing trouble. However, the fan I need to disconnect (Leftmost in the image), seems to be directly connected to the all the fans' PCB connector. How do I disconnect that one fan and leave the other 2 running?

GPU in question: Sapphire R9 280X Vapor-X Tri-x Hi, a few weeks back my GPU failed while I was playing Black Mesa, crashing the PC often until the GPU wouldn't send a signal. I tried it again a week later, and it turned on, but I found one of the fans wasn't working, so the card must've overheated. (Image below) Tested a bit with MSI Afterburner and found that the fan would only start working when set to 85%, then keep working until I set it to 80%. What can I do to fix the fan and avoid GPU Failure? Replace it? This setup is kinda old (almost 5 years), but I don't have the money to upgrade so I'd like to keep using it a bit more. Thanks!

Hello! Sapphire's site is broken. I want to search for older gpus on their site (28nm stuff) and can't do it. Do you know other place to search for said products or a way to contact sapphire about this?

Hi guys, I'm begining to loose my mind here. Built a PC from my old parts (everything is working) bit without a dedicated GPU. MSI H87-G43, i5 4570, 2x 4gb Hyperx Fury and a 500w 80+ bronze psu. Now I've bought an RX570 and it's not booting. It works on igpu, with other gpu (GTX970). The rx570 works on other PC but does not on that one. I tired to update the bios but it didn't help. Any ideas?

My gaming pc that I built was working fine for a solid three years. I moved to a new apartment and after the move it suddenly won't come on anymore. I have an Asus M97a5 R2.0 Mobo and a Sapphire R9 270x Dual-X gpu. I think that's where the problem lies but I'm pretty well stuck. I tried to turn it on after the move and now it makes the post beep and then does 1 long beep and 3 short beeps. The monitor doesn't come out of sleep mode so it looks like my GPU isn't working. I took it all out of the case, RAM, GPU, and unplugged everything and then reinstalled it and it did it again. I pulled and reinstalled the RAM in different slots and nothing changed. Then after 4 or 5 tries, without changing anything again, it came back on and worked fine for several hours. I did a soft restart a couple times to make sure it would consistently restart and it came back on like nothing was wrong. I had reset the bios in the process above so my overclock was set back to normal, but everything was working fine. I played some games on it for a couple hours and then did a normal shutdown again. I came back to it today which is about a week later and it's back to not working. Same thing; 1 long beep and then 3 short beeps. All the fans are coming on fine, including the GPU but still no graphics and I can't get it to come back on. Any thoughts? Parts: Mobo: Asus m97a5 R2.0 CPU: AMD FX6300 (Previously OC'd to 4.5GHz) Cooler: Hyper 212 EVO running custom fan curve on afterburner (below 78C during stress testing) GPU: Sapphire Radeon R9 270x Dual-X 4GB (Previously OC'd up 100MHz in afterburner, I reset to normal when it began working again. Usually temps around mid 70Cs) Power: Corsair CX600M RAM: GSkill Ares 4GB DDR3-2133 x 2 SSD: Kingston 240GB (boot and program installs) HHD: WesternDigital 1TB (file storage no installs)

I've been having a weird issue with my graphics card. I have a Sapphire nitro RX-480 8GB overclocked to 1460MHz. Lately there have been a lot of artifacts and massive screen tearing; there have even been game crashes. The problem seemed to have come out of the blue. I had been running the over clock stable for months with no problems. I've increased the cooler speed, updated the driver, increased the voltage, increased/decreased the memory clock. These things helped a tiny bit but didn't fix the issue. Then I tried everything at stock speed. Again very little to no change. Then at stock speed of 1300MHz I ramped the cooling to maximum. It sounded like a leaf blower and the problem was still there. So finally I remembered that I had a duel bios on this card and switched it to the other bios. That fixed the problem completely. It even allowed me to run the overclock again no problem. So here's my question. Why did this happen? Is it the overclock? the cooling? a driver issue? a problem with DX11? a bios corruption? An more importantly my other question is, will I need to worry about this any further? will it appear on the other bios? do I need to send my card to sapphire for an RMA? I am using AMD Wattman provided with the latest crimson driver. Thanks everyone. I look forward to hearing from you.

Hey folks, so upon updating to AMD's latest drivers (17.1.2) I tested WattMan (AMD's built in overclocking component) as it finally fixed a bug with multiple monitors. I started increasing the memory overclock I previously had clocked at 1660MHz. To my surprise I reached 2000MHz, the limit of what I can do on WattMan. I was a bit dumbfounded this clock speed was working in 3DMark's standard Firestrike test without any issues. GPU-Z confirmed I was running at these speeds so I decided to test ArmA 3 and GTA V.. and had no issues with either of them. I will admit I haven't tested in-game performance extensively as I'm aware benchmarks aren't comparable to actual games in the sense of overclocking. Firestrike scores: Stock: 10040 Overclock: 11654 Can any other 390 owners reproduce this or am I just completely not understanding something here? Have a lovely day/evening/night!

When CF is enabled, the 2nd card's lights turn off. When CF is disabled both cards' lights are on. Anyone know how to fix this? Want to have both of their LEDs light up during CF mode.

I can get the palit gtx 1060 6gb, the rx 480 sapphire 8gb and the gigabyte gtx 980 extreme gaming for the same price. Whice one should I get?
