I saw an article from PCWorld pointing people to the rtx 2070's that are on sale over at Newegg right now. I've been working on building a 1440p desktop, and have been trying to figure out what card to get. I'd like to get a 1440p 144hz gsync monitor, and have my eyes on the Asus ROG Swift PG278QR. I had been looking at used 1080 ti's but even used those are going for over $500, and it seems I can get almost comproable preformance from an RTX 2070. Curious on people's thoughts. Seems like good combination of card and monitor, but I've heard things about 2070's dying and wondering if I'm future proofing enough on the card for good frames that will use the monitor, even though I know I won't be running ultra high on games. Thanks for the input all! https://www.pcworld.com/article/3336260/computers/hey-pc-builders-check-out-these-newegg-deals-on-the-ryzen-5-2600-and-geforce-rtx-2070.html

Hi Gurus, I got myself a RTX 2070 and pared it with my old AMD Ryzen 1600. Without OCing my CPU I notice that there are micro stuttering in games like BF V and Apex Legends. (more stuttering in BF V vs Apex) With that said I have OC-ed the CPU to 3.75 ghz (max stable), there is noticeable less stuttering. Also did a fresh install of WIN 10 & new mobo , bios , Nvidia, etc... drivers & games installed in SSD. Does this mean that its time to plug in a faster Ryzen? From all the leaks I am tempted to get my hands on a Ryzen 3rd gen with all those news leaks going out there (digesting these with plenty of salt XD). Thanks in advance. I do not know what happens to my computer in fortnite, the fps lower me up to 50 or lower in endgame with only 15 people and in creative it goes up to a maximum of 130 I do not know what it could be besides if I upload the graphics to epic the performance is almost equal to that played in low graphics also try with bo3 and it is the same 200 fps in low and 130 in ultra in no man's sky if there was a difference of 90 in epics to 140 in low but it is not the difference you expect for this graph and processor would expect at least get the 144 stable in fortnite which is why I mainly put it together i have a single slot of 8gb ram

Hello, I sort of need your thoughts on this because i'm not too sure if this is the performance i'm supposed to be getting. I updated all my drivers and my motherboard BIOS but i am not getting similar results as to what it says on this website. I have a ZOTAC RTX 2070 MINI, a I5-9400f and an Asus H370-F motherboard. https://www.gpucheck.com/gpu/nvidia-geforce-rtx-2070/intel-core-i5-9400f-2-90ghz/ultra/zotac-rtx-2070-mini?lang=en¤cy=usd

I just got a new RTX 2070xc and I am planning to pair it with the following specs: 16gb of ram(2666Mhz) and i7 7700. Later I plan to get a 1440p monitor at 144hz. At this resolution will I experience a CPU bottleneck?

So after 1 month of working perfectly fine, out of nowhere my PC has begun to aggresively blue screen like 2 minutes after I turn it on. Everytime there is a different error message, and I can't even keep the thing on long enough to try and troubleshoot it. At first I thought I was the RAM. All the error messages were pointing towards the RAM. So I went out and bought some new sticks, and lo and behold, it's still blue screening. I've tried resetting the CMOS battery, and when I tried to reinstall windows, it blue screened during the setup. Finally, I decided to go out and buy a new motherboard. Again, blue screened while installing windows. This is ridiculous, and I have no idea what the issue could possibly be. Even the repair shop dude told me it's the RAM. The only other thing I could think of is that my Graphics card is defective but I honestly have no idea at this point. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I can post dump files if anyone wants.Specs are as follows:RTX 2070 STRIXRYZEN 5 2600X16GB 3200MHZ HYPERX FURY (TRIED REPLACING WITH 16GB 3000MHZ CORSAIR VENGEANCE LPX)AORUS B450 PRO MOTHERBOARD (TRIED REPLACING WITH MSI PRO SERIES B450-A PRO)GIGABYTE P650B POWER SUPPLY500GB WD NVME

Hi there, A few months ago I bought a RTX 2070 after my R9 280x had died. I had 2 60hz monitors at the time, and decided to buy a BenQ XL2411P, along with borrowing a XL2411Z from my brother. The 2070 has no DVI output, and the XL2411Z has no DisplayPort input so I was stuck with 60hz over HDMI because afaik the XL2411Z doesn't support higher refresh rates than 60 (I would resort to buying an active DisplayPort to DVI converter but since I'm only borrowing this monitor and I'd rather not waste money on something that might not even work I was fine with running 60hz). I wanted to hook my Nintendo Switch up to my XL2411Z over hdmi, so I decided to connect my XL2411Z with a DVI cable to my motherboard (ASRock Z77 Extreme4) that has a i7-3770k in it and was wondering if it's maybe possible to run my XL2411Z at 144hz now since I'm using DVI which I know supports 144hz. I've read that the Intel Graphics 4000 does output 144hz over DVI but Windows only shows me 59hz and 60hz, same thing in the Intel Control Panel. Is it actually possible to run 144hz off off the DVI port on my motherboard, and if so, how do I change my refresh rate to 144hz? Would love to hear from you guys.

I recently built a new PC and I've noticed micro stuttering in most of my games (still perfectly playable, but very annoying). The thing is, when I reboot the PC, it goes away, at least for a while. The only other time it's gone away is when I updated my graphics drivers and nvidia does that screen reset thing it always does when you update drivers. I have no idea what's triggering it or why it comes back. Sometimes, there's no micro stuttering at all on a 15 hour boot, and sometimes, it starts happening after 4 hours. I don't think it's a latency issue or a problem with the monitor, as afterburner's graphs show fps dips during the microstutter. I'm seriously stumped here and have no idea what could be causing this. Rainbow Six and Witcher are my primary benchmark games, as I know that i'm supposed to be able to run those games super smooth at 100+fps, so the dips are more noticeable. Things I've tried: Intellingent standby list cleaner playing with BIOS settings updating OS, all drivers All temps are fine My (relevant) specs: RTX 2070 STRIX Ryzen 2600x 16gb 3200mhz ram 500gb WD NVME drive Gigabyte p650b PSU (650watts) Aorus b450 pro motherboard BenQ GW2470 monitor

I had a problem with MSI Afterburner and had to reinstall. Before that, when running a game like Witcher 3 on high, the gpu clock used to be stable at 1950/1960 MHz and memory at 7000 MHz. This overclock was done with the OC Scanner. Now it's at 1600 MHz and memory at 6800 MHz. Can someone help me getting a better overclock than this? EDIT: After a couple of hours, with lots of reboots and reinstalls, I was able to get it stable with +220 on the core clock and +500 on the memory, with power at 114%. It's not the +245 I used to have but it will do.

Hey guys, this is my first post here so I am sorry if I chose the wrong topic. Here's my problem: I already have a Nzxt h510 case and the msi rtx 2070 super gaming x trio. Because the gpu is really long (32,5 cm I think) I am not sure if an AIO will actually fit. I am interested in nzxt kraken 240mm or enermax 240 aio and I would really like to have the fans inside so you can see them. The best way I thought of was to mount the radiator in the front behind the mounting bracket and have the fans on the inside of the bracket. So the bracket would be between radiator and fans. There should be enough room to fit the tubes through the bracket but I am concerned about the Temps of the cpu. I would appreciate your help.

Hello, I built a PC 2 months ago with an RTX 2070 and the following configuration : https://imgur.com/a/akirPEF I have noticed a problem with rendering of objects and textures in virtually every game. There is a lot of popping, and in-game objects regularly appear and/or disappear as I approach or distance myself from them. There are examples in the videos below : https://vimeo.com/user108164184/review/388835975/cbfd7153ae https://vimeo.com/user108164184/review/388835871/10ebf03f4c https://vimeo.com/user108164184/review/388835788/4b8e0ea306 https://vimeo.com/user108164184/review/388835713/a220d3b592 https://vimeo.com/user108164184/review/388835654/4d801ac5f9 I could upload a lot more examples if needed from various games (Crysis1,2 and 3, Batllefront, Battlefield 4), such as foliage appearing/disappearing, texture changes etc. I found a topic where the seemingly identical issue seems to be discussed in detail but no solution is offered : https://linustechtips.com/main/topic/1118699-bad-texture-pop-intexture-rendering-of-shadows-foliage-and-close-objects/ I haven't overclocked anything, I've tried reinstalling windows and drivers but no solution so far. Any help would be hugely appreciated

Hello to every single one! hope you’re having a good week! So my issue..I recently noticed a lower frame rate than what it used to be.. Played Red Dead2 and it was lower in the gameplay and benchmark, so I moronically decided to follow a vid which showed how to increase performance and optimize the experience overall. A lot of advice was good but then he decided to change some settings in the registry..I followed his changes and noticed then that it might have made things worse but even when I went back with the restore point it stayed the same( it did revert every change I made) After all that I decided to check the Witcher 3. When playing the game, I always start (benchmarking) in the same spot at the town Novigrad. Used to start there with 98-100 frames, now it’s 78-80. Noticing that, I went to Unigine heaven and other games I benchmark my system in and low and behold, the frame rate was lower there as well! unigine heaven before: 123-124 unigine heaven now: 118 What I’ve tried: *DDU in safe mode and clean installing latest driver *All overclocks returned to factory settings (had Gpu and memory OC) *went back with restore point since I had a win update right before I noticed the irregularity *checked temps and everything in between with HWinfo *cleaned Pc thoroughly *ran malware bytes scan *tried disabling Hpet and dynamic tick ( worked for me last time I had a similar issue ) *ran dism restorehealth and sfc scannow in Cmd What it might be: -haven’t updated Bios yet worth a try -installed some apps for cpu like cpu core parking and project lasso could be they have something to do with it? -recently watched video and tried working a bit in the registry but it might be what caused everything to go worse.( tho the restore point removed all changes) -haven’t checked voltages other than my cpu being 0.925 - I have a lot of pagefile being used every time I game like above 17Gb sometimes - what else? My system: Win 10 Pro Rtx 2070 Evga i7-8700 b360m Pro (mobo) High Power 650W 500Gb Patriot Blast SSD 1000Gb Hdd Kingston 1000Gb Hdd Kingston 16Gb Ram Huge Thanks to all who will decide to tackle this bizarre issue!

Black ops 4 built in cpu/gpu temp monitor
SpanishOmega posted a topic in Programs, Apps and Websites
I was playing bo4 and it said my gpu and cpu temps where at 86 the whole time, can I trust those numbers. I have a gigabyte 2070 and an 8700k with a 212 evo. The temps were built into the BO4 game. -
With every reboot - I get visual noise on my monitor. The noise commences on the boot screen and flickering starts when it gets to the Win 10 logon screen. My monitor has in-built speakers and audio noise also occurs. When I un-plug and re-plug the monitor, all noise and flickering stops and everything works perfectly, only to return when I reboot the PC.This happens when the monitor is connected via HDMI and DisplayPort.System:Intel 8700K in Asus Prime Z390-AMSI RTX 2070 Ventus GPwith Philips 253V7LJAB/75Any ideas?

Hello so for the life of me I can't figure out what's wrong with my PC,what happens is at random times the screen with flash black a couple times and the audio cuts out during the black flashes but it'll go back to normal after about 30 seconds, it doesn't matter if it's in game or on you tube and not sure if it's related or not but when running 4k resolutions my auto gets crackly and the flashing happens more frequently. My moniters a 55inch Samsung 4k curved tv I have to run a 20ft HDMI du to the location of it as well

Hey Guys, Im new here and I had some questions if anyone could help out, my set up is: CPU: i7-9700K GPU: RTX 2070 MOBO: MSI Z390 Gaming Pro Carbon AC RAM: 32 GB of Corsair DDR4 3000 MHZ When I upgraded my RAM from 16 to 32 Gb, it reset my windows back and didn't let me log into windows. It kept saying it couldn't troubleshoot it. I had to reinstall it, after I did I saw a significant drop in my FPS for some games. CSGO went from 300 FPS to 150-180, GMod went from 110 FPS to 60-70, Minecraft went from 200-300 FPS to 100-140, etc. Im not quite sure what caused this, can anyone help out?

Hi guys, I just built my pc, first time when I boot it I didn't recevied any video signal, everything was spinning and lighting. After playing with ram and gpu light turned into green on the top by the BOOT. Still no signal, can't get into the bios, black screen all the time, any ideas? Build
