So, today I went to load into R6S, and straight away the game was super choppy, with long frame times even when just scrolling through the menu. My CPU is normally the bottleneck in this game as it's quite CPU-heavy (runs 100% usage normally), but I still have to limit the FPS to 144 to match my monitor. Today, though, the CPU seemed to be choking a bit, plus the load times were extra long. The CPU was at 100% usage, and the GPU was only at 50-60% at around only 100 FPS, sometimes dropping to 20 or below. The frame times were excruciatingly long too. At desktop the CPU sits around 20%, but occasionally spikes to around 40. Windows explorer animations are slow and choppy too. The CPU is OC'd to 4.5GHz at 1.305V, and it has been for almost as long as I've had the build (~6 months) without any previous problems. Possible causes: Windows updated this morning; AI Suite had recently been messing up a little, so I uninstalled it this morning, only noticed problems after uninstalling and attempting re-installation. AI Suite had changed the OC (I can't remember what to) and the GUI was buggy, re-uninstalled it; ASUS Z270E UEFI auto overclocking, tried to use that to fix a maybe bad overclock, CPU crashed when trying to boot, and the blue-screened after booting in safe mode, but booted after turning off the comp and trying again; Heat damage to CPU (?), friend suggested this, not sure about it though, hadn't heard any jet engine-like noises from the comp, but still viable. Changed thermal paste this evening, old stuff was like a salt flat :/; Something firmware/driver /UEFI related that I don't understand. I'm still new to overclocking, and computers in general. Things I've done to try to fix it: Cleared CMOS; Manually restoring the overclock to default; Auto OC'd using the UEFI; Defragged my SSD; Reapplying thermal paste. Nothing I do has any impact on the performance of the CPU. Please help, I'm way out of my depth here and my computer is pretty special to me.

So I booted my computer after I had pressed update and shut down and the colours began to look very strange, it’s as if someone put a negative filter on it, as you can see from the photos below that is not how windows should look like, does anyone know how to fix, I have reset my pc and I also updated my graphics card drivers but the problems still remains

Hello! My name is Finup, I am a gamer and youtuber. I've had a GTX 970 since the begging of the summer and it RANDOMLY just stopped working yesturday, read more for detail! So... the graphics card is a GTX 970 Strix and 2 days ago I went to play rocket league with my friend, I started up rocket league and then went to change my display setting and once I hit *SAVED* my BOTH of my screens went black and didnt detenct the vga or dvi. Usually I would just restart my PC and it would be fixed (happened 2 times before) but this time it did not get fixed, it just wont display anything on the screen with my graphic card. Step 2: I tried out my motherboard (cpu intel i7 4700 3.6ghz) and that is displaying shizz on my screen. Step 3: I went back on my Graphic card and then fan is running, the white light is on and it is being powered. I tried moving it to a different slot on my motherboard and it made no difference. My graphics card is fully updated and has been working for the past months.... any help please!!!!

Maybe a silly question because it already sounds like a bad idea, however will I damage the GPU if I power it up to post my new build without hooking it up to a loop first. It's a msi gtx1080 seahawk ek so it came with the water block pre-installed and I didnt want to find out somethings not working after I've spent all the time putting everything onto the case and sorting out the loop. (fyi its my first time building my own computer and water-cooling one, so I'm as noobish as they come)

The problem is my Wireless internet connectivity keeps randomly dropping and staying disconnected with both my pc and my wife's whenever we are joined to a Windows Homegroup " locally." We're stuck living in a hotel, ( long story). When the homegroup doesn't exist ( aka the physical ethernet ports on both machines are disabled), internet runs like a champ. I've ensured when created the Homegroup we're not going through the Public hotel's wireless internet. We'll say my PC is PC 1, and wife's is PC 2. Both PC's use the same model of wireless usb ethernet card ( netgear a6100) and both use the same speed and length of usb extension cord to maximize signal strength. The only problem is being able to have wireless internet AND being connected to a Windows Homegroup to share files at the same time. Connecting the wireless cards straight to each PC's usb ports matters not. I've confirmed that. Both PC's have the same version of Windows 10 and 1 year old hardware. Everything else works like a champ. Also the problem remains regardless of which PC that creates the Homegroup and regardless of reboots. The following things have already been done: 1. Ensured the physical ethernet ports are set to static ip address and ensured the correct DNS and DEFAULT GATEWAY are both set correctly and the same on both machines. I would double check these network settings have not changed on both PC's even after the wireless internet stops working through "Ipconfig /all", and yes I have tried flushing dns, ipconfig /release and ipconfig /renew for kicks. Same problem is still there. 2. Ensured each PC can 100% successfully PING each other. 3. Successfully creating from either PC the Homegroup and joining it from the other is always easy and works every time. The Homegroup never disconnects. 4. Ensured in group policy settings " gpedit.msc" that the physical ethernet lan connection on both machines by default always is set to " Private" as Homegroup's instructions require this. Also ensure the Wireless ethernet's connections on both machiens are always set by default to " Public" as required. Finally ensured that both machine's have it enabled to " never allow the User to change the Network Location " to or from Public and Private to ensure wireless remains Public and physical ethernet remains Private through those Group Policy settings. 5. The Home group functions the same, perfectly, regardless if I use a simple crossover ethernet cable from PC1 to PC2 OR connection through our netgear Nighthaw 7500v2 router through cat 6 ethernet, but the same problem with the wireless internet randomly failing and STAYING in the failing state ( although when left clicking on the Wireless symbol on the taskbar, it still shows all the normal wireless connections we can connect to with the main one still connected with internet. 6. Ensured the Wireless adapter's networking information on both PC's( including ip address) is still the same within reason ( obviously I have no control over it being DHCP since it's hotel wifi-based) with it being a normal Class C private address ( beginning with 192.168 as 99% of them normally do. and valid. Something in my gut tells me this is a simple problem to fix and there is something simple I am missing, but I can't for the life of me figure it out. Please help?

Hey all, just finished building my first custom pc, went fairly smoothly, and the first thing that goes wrong is this BSoD error message: BAD_POOL_HEADER Things I have tried: Testing RAM (testing one piece at a time, changing the channels) - no good. Reinstalling Windows 10 to my original primary drive (SSD) - no good. Unpluging said SSD and installing OS on HD - no good. Running Memory Diagnostics - no issues detected. I don't have any drivers or programs installed, except a TP-Link wireless usb driver. Is it possible that: I've bought a dodgy the version of Windows 10? it is doing this because I haven't installed ANY drivers yet ant it'll go away when I install them? I have a faulty motherboard? The parts I have are incompatible? They should be good, right?? (See below) I'm assumimg the memory is fine because the diagnostic said it was... Sorry this is a bit long, but this is my first build and aside from putting it all together I don't really know what I'm doing, so any help is appreciated ? These are my parts fyi: AsRock Fatal1ty H170 Performance Intel i7 6700 Corsair Vengeance 2x8GB DDR4 Geforce GTX 970 G1 Gaming Edition 120GB Samsung SSD 1TB Samsung HD Corsair CX600 PSU

I'm almost ready to start my build but I'm having trouble finding out if some parts will fit. This is going to be the build.. MSI 970 Mobo AMD FX 8350 HyperX Fury 16GB 4x4 MSI GTX 960 4GB HyperX SSD 120GB 1TB HDD BitFenix Neo case with side window. Can someone please tell me if the Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo will fit in the BitFenix Neo case before I order it. I want this cooler because of all the positive reviews it's had and the Low price. I'm going to overclock my CPU but not much. 4.5GHz Max.. I know the AMD FX 8350 is well known for overheating so a good cooling system is a must. I don't want to go for liquid coolers as I don't have insurance and I just don't trust the reliability of a water component. Also most good liquid coolers are out of my price range anyway. You may have noticed that I didn't include a power supply in my build list.. I need help with that to i'm afraid. I did a components test on the Asus website, the one where you put all of your components in and it tells you what wattage power supply you will need. The answer was 800w. I find this to be a bit overkill for a mid range gaming rig, Am i right about that? I was hoping to get away with a 600w PSU or at most a 750w. So 2.5 question for you. 1: Will a Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo will fit in the BitFenix Neo case? If NO, can you suggest one that will for around the same price? 2: What PSU wattage will I need for my components? The build is for gaming rather than video editing ext... I'm not being lazy and just dumping my questions on you, I have tried to research parts on their websites and looked through Google and YouTube but I just can't find a definitive answer so any help would be VERY appreciated Thanks

Hello, I am setting up a domain controller in the network in our office using 2012 R2. I have set up AD DS and all the other stuff, but when I try to connect other computers on the network to it (Windows 7 Pro or Windows 10 Pro) it says "ADDC for "(domain name) cannot be reached" and something about a DNS delegation. All computers and servers are connected to the same switch and everything. Please help. I need our servers to work so WE can work! -Cameron

Hello everyone, Recently after talking to some friend we have decided to start a business called "The World of Tech." I have come across some storage issues. I was wondering if someone could build me a storage server with FreeNas with at least 100 TB of storage and a four gigabit network card and a decent amount of ram. Thanks

Hi guys, I'm starting to do some recording and some streaming but I've run into some problems and need some help. I use a PS4 for gameplay with a pair of Astro A50's, an elgato, a webcam for facecam and OBS as the software used. I want to be able to play the PS4 audio and chat through the headphones but have all the audio recorded by the elgato as well. I need all the audio and the game images to be synced up as best as possible, I don't want to use the webcam mic as it has a bad quality for audio which isn't good. At some point I'm looking at a proper mic anyway but for now I need some help with the set up for it all. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Jack

What would you rather do in my place? (The price doesn't matter) Buy a Corsair RM750 and got rid of the fan at the bottom or a RM650 with the fan, the thing that I like about the fan is that it gives some nice fresh air to the graphic card. If I buy the RM750 I will be forced to remove the fan in the bottom because of the PSU length. The length of the RM650 is 16cm also this is the length of the one that I have now so a bigger one would not fit without removing the fan. The length of RM750 is 18cm My system specs: - Asus Nvidia GeForce GTX 760 DirectCU II OC 2GB - Intel Core i7 4770K 3.50GHz - MSI B85-G41-PCMate ATX Motherboard - HyperX 8 GB 1600 MH But I'm going to be changing my GPU to a GTX 980 so this is really why I'm upgrading my PSU but also because of the noise that my old one makes. I'm asking you guys this because I don't what to have something like that so my PSU uses like 40-50% of it self while in the desktop don't know what it's going to be like while gaming but I don't what it to use it self over 60-70% Because the RM750 and RM650 has something like that when the PSU is running under the 40% of load the fan doesn't spin but when it goes above the 40% of load the fan starts to spin and even more load it spins faster and faster so that means it makes more noise and that is what I dont what I what the noise level to be always quiet at least I dot what it to spin while in the desktop also not to loud while gaming. Please leave your suggestions what would you rather do. Thank you
