I just built a brand new gaming pc and I was wandering if there was a way download some AAA titles for free. Do you guys know any good websites?

My “current” build is one I built a few years back. I’m running a i5-6500 and a gtx1060 6gb, with a z170a gaming motherboard from msi. 16gb ram. I play shooters (modern warfare, cs:go, valorant, apex, etc.) now here is where I get confused.. I just bought a used 8gb gtx 1080 founders edition for $310. After installing it I found out with the current cpu I have there is quite a bottleneck. I searched up what cpu I should get to match my 1080 with and I ended up buying a i7-7700k... for $500. After doing further research I feel like I should just upgrade my whole computer. The stuff I’m buying is overpriced and old. Any tips? Should I just build a new pc or stick with my 1080 and 7700k? I know my motherboard is a little older now too. the cpu I purchased came out in 2017 and feel like for the amount of money I spent I could have gotten something way better. I might return it. Any input would be appreciated, thanks

Hi everyone, I think this topic should be part of discussion forum, if so, admin please, feel free to move it. well as I'm writing this topic I'm uploading a video to my recently started YouTube channel (1st. video actually), well why am I talking about that video?, cause I wanted to show how my tv performs when it comes to gaming,(instead of using a monitor). There have always been a fight about TV vs monitor, at the beginning it was hard for me to understand the difference, but with time and some research I can now tell you; yes monitors are better for PC gaming (that's obvious since monitors are created for PCs), but some TVs are too, yes, it does depends on what you need, I've been using this TV since I started playing on PC, I'm a casual gamer not looking to get into pro stuff, I mostly play to relieve stress, so the idea of a gaming chair and a desk wasn't as comfortable as the idea of a couch in the living room,(I'm actually working on remodeling living room to make my pc the center of attention will upload pics when I'm done) So what's the point of this topic? I'm mostly looking for feedback what do you guys think of what you see, video quality is not that good to upload faster, but I'm playing at 1440p using a gtx 970, I don't really feel input lag, I don't know if there's a way to test input lag if so share it please, what do you guys use?, and to try to show that some TVs could work too. so feel free to share what you think or if you have questions video link: thanks for reading

I Need help. I want to start playing black desert online again. i was using my laptop before. it has a gtx 980m 16gb i7-4720HQ 2.60ghz base. i have a samsung SSD 850 m.2 250gb. i have 16gb ram idk how fast it is i couldnt find it in device manager. anyways i also have a desktop all i can say is on desktop i also have a gtx 960 and i i5 processor but it has a way larger base ghz speed at 3.20GHz then my laptop i also have 12gb of ram. it has no SSD. my question is which one should i use? the desktop or the laptop. most would say the laptop. but i hear this game doesnt mix with laptops well seeing that theres a ridiculous amount of texture and mesh pop in. and i hear that esecially with this game laptops seem to over heat and the cpu and gpu tend to throttle. my laptop doesnt have the best cooling setup. so can anyone tell me if the laptop is still that much better. also the laptop has integrated graphics (i dont use them) but i hear that can effect some things too. sorry for my grammar i was never good at writing or typing.

I owned HP Omen 2016 gaming laptop for 4months now. For my video editing & FHD gaming, this machine performance is fair enough. As a gaming laptop, I really like its minimal & thin design and light weight. And I saw that the new version of this laptop has kabylake CPU and GTX 1050/1050Ti graphic card. Then I got this idea to replace my 2016 version to this. I need bits of advice on this matter. Is it okay to replace this or is there any laptop better than Omen in this price range? The big drop back is this doesn't have USB-C. I wish Omen has USB-C. Other than that I really like this thin quiet laptop.

Just a quick question, when I open something like for example skyrim, or AC4, that is full screen, my second monitor can be a bit of a distraction, and I've found that simply turning the 2nd monitor off can have some negative affects, because then the GPU has to readjust every time. This is especially difficult when modding skyrim, because if I start a game and turn off my second monitor and my game crashes, then my pc goes into single-monitor mode and has to readjust. I've tried just setting my desktop background to solid black, and that works for the most part, but then when I want to use my desktop it's a bit boring, any suggestions?

I currently have the msi ghost series laptop i7 4700hq and a gtx 860m i think ive had it for 2 or 3 years now and im about to send it in for the second time in 2 months to have it serviced. this time for speakers and the first for refresh on bios. My warrently ends next month and i feel like the laptop is goign to give out on me soon so im looking for something new. 1 main complaint i have about this laptop is the fact its a notebook it only has a i7 4700 hq but sitting idle its between 40 c and 50c, its weird cause when i play skyrim special i dont have any issues but if i play csgo every 30 seconds or so the temp on 1 core reaches max and it will stutter but go back down. (figured this out by using cpu temp program) 2nd complain was i thought the gtx 860m would last longer than it has that was my fault. So i want a laptop that has adequate cooling so i do not care if it is larger. I would like the i7 7700hq but im pretty sure the i7 6700 hq will work and i would like to go with the 1000 series 1060 or greater would be great. I use it for school i am a programming student, unity and unreal, games right now mostly csgo and player unknown or hw2 but i own all the main games battlefield, siv, cod so on. My price range is up to 1500 usd Does anyone have any recommendations on certain laptops? i pretty much know what im going for but i want some feedback im going threw all of linus review vids for laptops to see if theres one i like

Just want to know if BF 1 has native controller support, or if it will work the way it did with BF4? If anyone has it already, can you see how it is with an xbox 1 controller. (I am aware of the inherent dis-advantage I will be at using a controller, but I simply cannot play with KB/M, and tbh i've never been good enough at these games to worry about it. Thanks.

I've played Elder Scrolls Online Tamriel when it first came out on Xbone, Now I have a beast computer....and I wanna play a MMORPG but can't seem to get into any... Anyways ESO caught my eye and I was wondering if since its an old game is it still worth getting into? I've also got some general questions about the game if anyone wants to answer... Is it pay to win? Do lots of people still play it? Guilds/Clans active? Is gold edition worth it? Is their PVP? Should I buy through steam? Thanks guys, really appreciate it! -A_Lifeguard

So I’m trying to switch from Xbox one to pc and my parts came in today. Ive got all the parts installed and it won’t even power on no fans, just the ez debug led which flashes all lights for a split second, all connections are snug. My build is as follows Ryzen 1300x, GTX 1050ti gaming x, two sticks of 8gb ripjaws v ddr4 2800, msi b350m gaming pro, evga 500b, Samsung 250gb ssd, seagate barracuda 2tb hdd, and nzxt s340 I just took everything out of the motherboard except the cpu and cooler, put it on some cardboard, and put in the one stick of 8gb ddr4, the gpu, and then plugged the 8 pin cpu connector, 6 pin gpu connector and the power switch and it fired up with the ez debug led staying lit solid on boot so I put everything back in but I’m back at step one please help me I’m new at this and so close to just bringing it to a shop I hope this is detailed enough thanks in advance

Hi all, So playing Doom multiplayer and despite having V-Sync turned on im shooting well above my TVs refresh rate of 60, I was getting like anywhere between 74 and 108, I mean i'm not complaining but I'm pretty sure V-sync is supposed to sync to your display. Also, has anyone's now not starting up in Vulcan? Played it two weeks ago with a friend in Vulcan, worked fine, now I have to edit the local config to force OpenGL or it just doesn't open the game at alllll. Fecking annoying

New Acer Predator Helios 300 with GTX 1060 is the cheapest 1060 laptop in the market right now. I'm looking for a new laptop for basically for video editing and 1080p gaming on Ultra. My current HP OMEN (GTX 965m) can game almost in high settings on 1080p. My choices were before New HP OMEN with Thunderbolt 3 https://goo.gl/PJPgyh and Lenovo y720. Now this one appears. Confused!!!

I'm gaming on HP OMEN 2016 notebook connected to Samsung 49' Curved smart TV via HDMI. It is an awesome experience. But I have a doubt about this setup. Is it healthy to make a setup like this. Consoles like PS4 Xbox is okay. But is it okay to gaming on notebook connected to TV. I'm using DS4 controller as well.

Hey, In a few weeks or less I plan on buying and putting together my first Gaming PC. While not strictly used for gaming that is what I plan to spend most of my time using it for. While I have made a post asking for help in the past large amounts of time has passed between me posting and now and I have new wants and needs that the computer needs to fill that I'm not sure can be fulfilled with some builds I have seen. 1. Budget & Location I don't have a set budget however I set the minimum that I would spend at $750 and then my max would be at around $1,750 but I would like to spend as much is needed to get it to meet my needs and possibly surpass them in order for the computer to last at minimum three years however the cheaper the better. Location is the United States and to add on their isn't a lot of stores in my area that actually specialize in computers and the few that do for some reason persuade against building a PC and have limited stock and variety. 2. Aim The systems main use will be for gaming however I need it to be able to run the program Solid-works, Blender, Photoshop, and other various applications that struggle to run on my laptop. Games that I would like to be able to run preferably at max settings are games like Ark, Skyrim, GTA V and other large games. 3. Monitors I plan on running one monitor to start then going up to one large one or two medium sized ones. The resolution I would like to be able to run is 4k however when I probably won't get a 4K monitor to start off with and more likely will want to get a 1440P monitor. 4. Peripherals I will need to get a keyboard and a mouse as well as get Windows operating system however I don't need to get a copy of windows that has office and excel and such. 5. Why are you upgrading? I am upgrading because the laptop I have currently caps off at 2.5ghz and runs programs that I currently run slowly and the cpu gets very hot. I've tried using a desktop computer but it made too much noise. I also want to upgrade to a desktop so I can get a cheaper laptop for school and still have something powerful to run games on and stuff.

HIIIIIII! Well this time decide to invest and buy a ITX H97 MB to do something that should already have done since the Dark Side Machine project, I always felt limited with the ATX format and now I had the financial opportunity to buy an ITX and could not escape! I chose the ELITE 120 from Cooler Master to work with, I had everything in mind before I went to get it, but I had that feeling that it was going to be very small and that I would regret it ... BUT NO! Well I was super surprised with the space and saw soon that it was going to give to what it wanted to do. The concept I chose is "ALL TERRAIN", and I will not paint it in camouflage! Ahahah Basically the goal is to make the box as beautiful and as "radical" as possible, but it also makes it even more capable and that's where the concept comes in, making the box capable of things that it originally can not. I want to improve is "image", the air circulation by adding a 240 radiator, put the lid to open otherwise, reposition the PSU elsewhere, well a date of things that may change once the project has no "guide lines "In 3D as I usually do. ENOUGH OF WORDS, and let's get down to business! Best Regards Tankian! #coolermaster #coolermasterportugal #modding #mod #pcmasterrace #pcgaming #pc #youtube #handcraft #homemade #hardware #pcmodding #subscribe #tankiantheman #makeityours

Hey guys, I'm organizing a 5v5 CSGO LAN tournament in New Delhi, India. Expected number of participants will be around 20 teams. I have 1.5 days to get the event over with. Any ideas or suggestions you might have about how to go about it?

Hi, I need the pcmr community to help me chose a few new pc games. I got myself an RX480 8GB and can now really start gaming. I love open world adventure games, especially Skyrim, which is the game i played the most with 156 hours. That may not sound like much but i cannot game that much cuz i really have do do stuff for school. I also like driving and racing games, which are hust wonderful to play with ma Logitech Driving Force GT which I bought 4 years ago and am still very happy with. I'm not that good at shooters but i think i could get into that. I'm 15 years old and not the typical battlefield and cs:go gamer ini my age. I don't want to play games that will unsettle me lol, so really bloody ones and horror games aren't really for me. My current steam winter sale wishlist looks like that: DiRT Showdown 1,49€ Far Cry Primal Apex Edition 27,49€ Rocket League GOTY Edition 14,99€ (F1 2016 29,99€) Tom Clancy's The Division 24,99€ Dark Souls II: Scholar of the First Sin 11,99€ Far Cry 4 14,99€ Spintires 9,99€ (BeamNG.drive 18,39€) The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion GOTY Edition: 7,49€ Payday 2 4,99€ Watch Dogs 8,99€ Arma 3 17,49€ Assassins Creed Unity 11,99€ Starwars Battlefront (Origin) 9,99€ Which of those games should I definetly get, which ones shouldn't be bought? Do you have more suggestions? I don't want to pay too much money, so keep that in mind. Thanks!
