Hello! My current laptop (Dell Latitude E7270) is shutting down frequently, slow, the storage is full and don't even try to open MS Teams and Google Chrome at the same time. I want to build a new PC. I am new to this PC-build-thingy, so I'd appreciate it if you could suggest me some parts. My budget is 1000-1500$ max. I will be using the PC for gaming, studying, video editing, streaming and pretty much using it as a universal desktop. I know asus is a good brand, but nothing else. It would also help if you would suggest a monitor in that budget with the PC as well. Thank you!

I have a really old PC with a core 2 duo processor ( don't know the version ) with some 2.5 Gb of RAM and some storage. It was working until the power supply died. I then bought a cheap power supply (450 W) which might be giving an output of 300-310 W as mentioned on the power supply itself. I can see the CPU fan spinning motherboard lights turning on and HDD spinning. but when I connect it to my TV, it does not show anything on it(no display output). I connected my TV with my laptop and even my S8 for the Dex mode to check if the TV's HDMI is working fine or not, and they were working just fine. After many attempts of disconnecting, disassembling and the putting it all back together the results were the same. I tried with a different HDD and without HDD (which should open at least the BIOS) did not work either. I have no idea what's wrong with the PC as everything in the PC visually looks like it's working, but no display output. Can some one please help find the problem and give a solution? Thanks.

Budget (including currency): around 1200 € Country: Slovenia Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Mostly games, but it will also be used for some video editing and blender Hello! I am trying to build a new pc and I have come up with the following build: AMD Ryzen 5 3600 with a stock cooler, MSI 450 Tomahawk max, Kingston hyperX fury 16gb (8 x 2) ram ddr4 3200 Samsung SSD 970 EVO PLUS 250gb m.2 WD Blue 2TB BeQuiet ATX 600W Phanteks eclipse 300p + three additional be quiet 120mm fans All these components come up to about 760 euros. Since buying a GPU is practically impossible right now, I would use my old GPU until prices drop and there is actually some stock. I am planning to buy an RTX 3060, which will hopefully cost around 400€ in Slovenia once prices are normal. Would this be a good build? Would there be any compatibility issues? (I have done quite a lot of research and I think there is none, but I am just making sure). Thank you for your suggestions and thoughts in advance.

Hi guys, I need your help to see whether you have some advises on my planned PC build, maybe there's a thing or two that I should change from the specs. Max. Budget: IDR 30,000,000 - 35,000,000 (roughly around USD 2,129 - 2,483) Country: Indonesia Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Mostly will be for gaming (like Red Dead Redemption, SW: Fallen Order, Cyberpunk 2077, Witcher 3, Division 2, Hitman 3, etc.). I also do standard graphic design and video editing using Photoshop, Illustrator, and Premiere Pro. Current planned specs: - Processor: AMD Ryzen 9 3900X 3.8Ghz 12 Cores - Motherboard: MSI MAG B550M Mortar WiFi (I prefer motherboard with integrated WiFi) - Memory: KLEVV DDR4 BOLT X Series PC25600 3200MHz Dual Channel 32GB (2X16GB) CL16 Memory - Main Storage: Team MP34 512 GB M.2-2280 NVME SSD - Additional Storage: Team SSD MP33 1TB M.2 2280 PCI-e 3.0 x4 - Video Card: iGame GeForce RTX 3070 Ultra W OC-V 8GB VRAM - PSU: Deepcool 750W 80+ Gold Certified ATX Power Supply - Cooler: Deepcool MAELSTROM 240 RGB - Case Fan: Deepcool RF 120 12 cm RGB LED FAN (x3) - Case: Lian Li Lancool II Mesh I already checked these parts at a local store and the overall cost would be IDR 28,993,500 (around USD 2,052). I think I'm pressing the cost a bit too much for storage, cooling and PSU, but I don't know if these are actually enough. Thanks all!

Budget (without Drives): 150,-€ Country: Austria Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Plex Media Server Other details: I'm planning to bild a budget PC to run Plex on. I just want an one thing home streaming service. I know a raspberry could be an option, but it struggles fast with more clients. I don't want to use a NAS because it is harder to repair and upgrade. But if know it better, please let me know so I get the most out. I just want an one thing home streaming service. I'm excited (≧▽≦) Zer0 < 42

Budget (including currency): USD, I don 't really have a specified budget since I'm just going to save up to what ever the cost will be (give or take some changes in the time it takes to save) rather than buying with a currently existing sum of cash Country: United States Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Mostly for gaming such as Minecraft (High settings, hopefully with shaders when possible and heavy modpacks) and Halo Infinite are the heaviest loads I plan on doing right now but will probably find other things more intensive in the future, potentially using to host a minecraft server. Also been getting into programming but it isn't anything heavy, just Python and typical internet browsing Other details: I'll point out that I have a laptop that's fairly competent for a laptop (i5 9300H, 16gb 2400, gtx 1650) but I mostly use it as a desktop so getting an actual desktop seems like a better Idea in the long run. I've created a list on pc part picker here: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/FJH2gt I'm aware right now isn't the best time to be building a PC but it is the situation that we find our selves in with now real end in sight so holding off doesn't seem like a great idea. I want to build my pc without having to upgrade in the near future so I'm trying to go with higher end hardware (or what I think is high end). I'm also aware that graphics cards are pretty hit or miss right now but I want to go with an AMD card since I've heard that they work better in Linux than Nvidia and I anticipate using Linux at some point. Also I have 2 monitors selected since I'm not settled on one but I do intend on only using one to begin with, preferable at 1440p between 90 and 144 Hz with freesync and some sort of HDR support, brightness doesn't need to be too high since I live in a basement with little sun. Other points are I already have a mouse and don't care too much for RGB. Right now I'm more focused on getting the configuration and specs set in place then I will look into where to buy a particular part for cheaper since I don't plan on actually building this for a year or so till I can get the money but I would like to get a head start on it and learn about the whole process. Any insight, suggestions or tips would be welcome

Hello there tech gurus! I'm a total beginner and want to build my own PC, so please be gentle with me. I'm still learning the ins and outs. :') My budget below includes the monitor. I already tried to put a plan together but I was too ambitious and went overboard. Here's my list so far. If possible can you add or change parts so that it all fits better? I'm also confused, because it looks like my CPU already has a cooler, so is a additional cooler really needed? Would it all fit in my case? Like all gamers I'm a big fan of rgb light. CPU: AMD Ryzen 3 3200g CPU Cooler: ID-Cooling zoomflow 240x snow 62 liquid CPU cooler Motherboard: ASRock B550M Steel Legend Micro ATX AM4 Memory: Corsair Vengeance RGB pro 16GB (2x8) DDR4-3200 CL 16 Storage: Western digital blue SN550 1 TB M.2-2280 NVME Solid Videocard: Gigabyte Radeon RX 580 4 GB GAMING Powersupply: Corsair RMx 750 W 80+ ATX Case: Mid Tower NZXT H510 ATX Monitor: Acer VG220Q bmiix 21.5'' 1920x1080 75 Hz Budget (including currency): around 1500$ Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: light gaming like Genshin Impact, maybe video editing and for digital art so adobe programms (daily use). I won't be unsupervised while building it. So don't worry...altho it isn't Linus who's looking after me so who knows. :)))

Budget (including currency): $2500 Country: US Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Video Editing, Astrophotography Image Processing, Games Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): Both Noctua and ASUS have documented compatibility with each other products. However, neither vendor has indicated if there would be problems with the height of the RAM sticks with the Big Cooler, since the fans may extend to the memory sockets. Can I determine if there will be an issue before I buy the Cooler and Ram. I plan to buy the Hero Motherboard, and look for other options if this first choice doesn't work. G.SKILL Trident Z5 Series 32GB (2 x 16GB) Noctua NH-D15 ASUS Z690 Hero

There was this one video where Linus checked out the newly build PC, and then it just powered off and Linus had that shocked face Then Alex comes in laughing his ass off with a new PSU in hand 'cause he knew the one installed was too weak. Which video was that? I can't find it :(

Budget (including currency): 1.5k CAD Country: Canada Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Minimal gaming, and if yes very small workload. For moderate coding. Moderate editing General everyday use to replace my laptop which is crashing XD. Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): I'm not sure if the motherboard has built in WiFi, someone please tell me I need wireless for the room I would be putting it in. Below is the link to pcpartpicker list and a screenshot of the parts. https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/user/atwoyearold/saved/tdJxgs Thank you very much for your feedback in advance! a_twoyearold

His main objective is to build a gaming-focused machine. The bar he decided to set is the following He wants to play Cyberpunk at 1440p 60fps+ High preset and was wondering if the following suggested graph is overspec'd or too weak I'm not good at telling these things as I really have no extra parts to run benchmarks. Additional notes: • This is all hypothetical, He's sure as hell not interested in getting scalped as soon as possible, he'll wait. • He owns a 144hz 27" curved monitor, connected to a hp pavilion (i7 9th gen, gtx 1650) that is apparently a terribly built overheating piece of poo. planning to keep the monitor. • He's smart, doesn't know how to build a pc yet but I promise you he can learn in an hour if needed, is not afraid of messing around in the system, is capable of writing code for games in Unity and s**t. • I don't feel like recommending him any AMD for the graphics department, as of now, Unless you found an incredible offer over Nvidia counterpart (haha, not funny) I really don't see the benefits, I have an AMD card and, although I love at least having a card, I really hate all the driver problems, and graphical hiccups, plus he messes around in creative software a lot, I Suppose Nvidia is more suitable for rendering. (feel free to prove me wrong but last time I checked..wasn't worth it) That...should be everything, ask away anything you need to know. And thanks for reading, I know It's a poem but I believe in giving a consistent amount of details when asking for help.

Hi all! So I just finished building my PC and I'm trying to have two monitor setup on it. Since the motherboard has DP and HDMI with R5 5600g there shouldn't be any issues. However, my screen that is connected with DP works fine, but the other which is connected with HDMI to DVI adapter (older monitor, no HDMI) doesn't show any image, nor it is recognized in device manager. I have installed latest drivers for pretty much everything. Any help would be much apreceated! My config is: Ryzen 5 5600g MSI MPG B550 Gaming Plus 16GB RAM 3733MHz ... bunch of storage....

I wan't to build a powerful PC with i9 12900k. I am not a gamer so I don't feel a need to have a powerful graphics card but I want to connect 3 monitors to my pc. As on the intel's website it says that integrated graphics can support upto 4 monitors but most of the motherboard have only 2 HDMI ports. Any suggestions on how can I connect 3 monitors with integrated graphics.

Budget (including currency): No real budget around £2,000 but willing to go another 400 pounds more if GPU is worth it (At this present time/ within next 2-4 weeks) Country: United Kingdom Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Adobe Premier Pro and Photoshop for video edting and renders, and thumbnails Other details Current PC specs: CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3600X with Corsair 280mm iCue AIO Cooler Motherboard: ROG STRIX B450-F GAMING (AM4) Memory: 2X8GB DDR4 3200mhz (Patriot or Viper... cant recall) GPU: Palit GTX 670 Storage: Samsung SSD 860 QVO 1TB (SATA (SSD)) PSU: EVGA 500W (not sure on model) Case: Cougar Panzer (Mid Tower) - not sure on exact model but not RGB version Extras: 2x120cm RGB Fans got off amazon I am a console gaming content creator and looking to upgrade my PC as much as I can and with some helpful insurance money, gonna invest small part of it into my PC to able to use it to render my videos better and faster as currently rendering my videos to 1080p 60 FPS after sharing it from sharefactory on the PS4 to the PC (Gonna be getting a PS5 as well soon) I done as much research as I can and certainly from my starting point gonna be leaps and bounds but wanna set myself up by future proving the PC in terms of gaming, especially heavy gaming with mods. I also like to have fun Overclocking THE MAIN QUESTION: Is that I am going for a RTX 30 series GPU. With prices being way above MSRP, I can get my hands on a brand new RTX 3060 for around £450 or upgrade to a 3080 for around £900. What would be the reccomendation if price wasn't an option and the price gap was more closer to MSRP between the two and not like 500 pounds difference in price currently. Also below is the specs I got planned for the new PC: CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 5900X and upgrading to a 360mm AIO Cooler ( Motherboard: ASUS ROG STRIX B550-F GAMING(WI-FI) THOUGHT not 100% sure as seen MSI MPG B550 GAMING EDGE Wi-Fi which is 25% cheaper. (Having WiFi currently as a back up and saves on a little dongle having to get separate Memory: Corsair Vengeance RGB RS 64GB (2x32GB) DDR4 3600MHz C18 GPU: RTX 3060 OR 3080 as mentioned above Storage: Samsung 970 EVO Plus 2 TB PCIe NVMe M.2 (2280) and Crucial BX500 2TB PSU: Evga Supernova 850 Ga 80 Plus Gold (Know 750 would be enough but dont mind spending a extra few quid to have that headroom Case: Same (at the moment) gonna assemble the MB and graphics card and see how it mounts in the case with room for the radiatior) Extras:Ditching the cheap fans with a pack of 4x Corsair 120mm fans So yeah, mainly it the GPU and little on the motherboard not too sure on. Not gonna run 2x GPUs but like the look of ASUS BIOS settings For the case, just going on how it roughly looks, may have some clearance issues with the 360 radiatior at the top, so may upgrade the case to a full tower (know it is not necessary) perapss Corsair or Lian Li. The price for EVERYTHING without the GPU IS £1350 ()Will look at seperat sellers to get this down) Sorry for being a bit long winded but any advice would be appreciated

Budget (including currency): $550 Country: India Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Mainly Python Programming for large datasets(1-1.5 million data points)mainly high dimensional data. Also some lightweight gaming. Here I want to be very specific that I will only play old games like Assassin's Creed 1,2,3(max and no further than that). Call of duty modern warfare(original),Black ops 1,2. Battlefield up to(4 max). Mainly games released before 2014. Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): I have a Dell Keyboard, and a Zebronics Mouse. As the prices of GPU is very high right now, I don't want any GPU. But I would prefer some APU solution for new PC buildup like Ryzen processor with integrated graphics(raedon vega 8 or 11). The rest of the buildup is normal like any other PC build. Thanks in advance.
