More has come out about the alleged Nvidia-OriginPC deal to forgo the selling of AMD GPUs. An Nvidia sales program code named "Tier 0" is behind it all and the Nvidia Board of Directors do not like it one bit. Heads will likely roll after the dust settles because of this, due to the illegal nature of what took place either some folks at Nvidia will lose their jobs, Nvidia will lose a lot of money or both. "Tier 0" is still in effect & the plan was for it to be rolled out to other vendors as well. The gist of the program is : Source

My BF4 installation has been stuck at 20% for like an hour now... it's obviously not getting anywhere. Yet somehow it's still bombarding my hard drive. Does anyone know a fix?

Hey guys and girlies, as you may or may not have noticed already, if you happen to have a US ip, you can already play BF4. If you live in Europe, you can just join any server once with the US ip, and then deactivate the vpn and play normal through your actual connection. You have successfully cracked BF4 MP! 'CAUSE ITS ORIGIN! BY EA! So if you live in Europe and you want to play Rush, hop on my server, and lets all have some fun. http://battlelog.battlefield.com/bf4/servers/show/pc/1380f12a-7660-48c3-9c96-8f7d9deb8a54/DOENER-Gemuesemonsters-Domain/

If there's one already running, well too bad because this one is more glorious. All you have to do is post your Steam/Origin/Uplay usernames (your Steam URL is optional) and I will add it to the list. If you don't have all the platforms, it's okay, I will still add them. The format of your post should be like this: Steam: username(forum username) - URL(optional) Origin: username(forum username) Uplay: username(forum username) If you only have Steam for example then just post this: Steam: username(forum username) - URL(optional)

I realized I hadn't used two keys from the Humble Origin Bundle I bought some time ago. Those two keys were for Origin versions of Command and Conquer: Red Alert 3 & Populous. I don't like just giving them away, so for C&C, the first one to tell me where my profile picture is from and list something similar within it's category will win that one. Example: If my picture were one of Firefly (the tv series), then you'd say "Firefly, and something similar to that is Cowboys & Aliens." because Cowboys and Aliens is western, and involves space. It genre specific basically. For Populous, Google search my avatar's image and tell me a series that comes up that isn't what my avatar is, along with the picture you found showing said series. Example: If my avatar were this specific picture of Firefly, In Chrome, you'd right click that image and click "Search Google for this image". It's more involved for FF & IE, but I'm sure it's easy to figure out. Then you would delete the words "Firefly Gif" (otherwise you'd just get lots of Firefly GIFs thanks to Tumblr) from the Google Search bar, enter in whatever (I typed "a" without quotes.) and re-search it (ha!), then click "Visually similar images" and from the results that come up, you'd find a different TV or movie series (for movies that have sequels), I found this disturbing image of Tomb Raider (video games are cool too) for example: This one doesn't have to be related to the original (Firefly is space western, while Tomb Raider is neither of those things). So you'd just post that picture and say "Tomb Raider". I know. I complicate things, but whatever. Free games, amirite? Good luck Edit: Need sleep. Will give out key tomorrow (7-12 hours from now).

Hey, I recently been having issues with Origin Service and I've contacted EA about it; this is when I came to a conclusion that could possibly solve the issue. I did an UOTrace from the articles based on connectivity issues and the person told me to get these Ports Open so that this issue can be solved whilst connected to the internet wirelessly. I was provided these ports: TCP: 80; 443; 9960-9969; 1024-1124; 18000; 18120; 18060; 27900; 28910; 29900 UDP: 1024-1124; 18000; 29900 I then contacted my ISP and was shown to this page: http://ee.co.uk/help/phones-and-device/home-broadband/bright-box-wireless-router/bright-box-advanced-user-guides/bright-box-router-set-up-port-triggers From this point I am not sure what to do and how to input these values; what to input in the trigger port field and the public port field. Could someone help me with this issue I've been having with the Origin; haven't been able to access my games on Origin since mid-june :'(

Reddit user drsniper121 have found using a simple monitoring program, that origin is accessing, logging and sending stuff back to EA. I'm just going to drop the link to the reddit thread, and the imgur link. http://www.reddit.com/r/pcmasterrace/comments/2aitbv/origin_is_still_snooping_files/ http://i.imgur.com/itkV0Q2.png this is what their pr had to say http://i.imgur.com/eQRwIDM.jpg --- Will update as i find more stuff. Sorry for shitty post, going to look more into this and come back. Update 1: More pics http://i.imgur.com/P6O2WPY.png http://i.imgur.com/1HxV9My.png http://i.imgur.com/G7kmjBm.png http://i.imgur.com/nt7WhCu.png Update 2: The privacy policy totally allows for this, it seems. A post taken directly from /u/haekuh --- In the EA terms of service what OP posted about is perfectly within the rules that we all agreed to. This info is listed as non identifiable personal information and EA does share this info with third parties. the important part We need to realize that EA games thinks it is perfectly fine to harvest our "non identifiable Personal information" aka anything that isnt your name, address, phone #,SSN, or DOB and sell it to third parties? the following is the proof for my statements These following quotes are copied directly out of EA's privacy policy. Including the final quote which to me sounds really god damn rude "EA collects non-personal information along with personal information when you actively provide it in the context of various online and mobile activities including online and mobile purchases, game registration and marketing surveys, for instance. In addition, we and other third parties use cookies and other technologies to passively collect non-personal demographic information, personalize your experience on our sites and monitor advertisements and other activities as described below. We may also derive from the information collected other facts, such as determining the applicable tax rate based on your IP address. By playing an EA game through a social network or other third party platform or service or by connecting to such a third party network, platform or service via one of our products and/or services, you are authorizing EA to collect, store, and use in accordance with this Privacy Policy any and all information that you agreed the social network or other third party platform could provide to EA through the social network/third party platform Application Programming Interface (API) based on your settings on the third party social network or platform. Your agreement takes place when you connect with the third party network, platform or service via our products and/or services, and/or when you connect with, "accept" or "allow" (or similar terms) one of our applications through a social network, or other third party platform or service. EA may also collect or receive information about you from other EA users who choose to upload their email and other contacts. This information will be stored by us and used primarily to help you and your friends connect. The advertising companies who deliver ads for us may combine the information collected or obtained from EA with other information they have independently collected from other websites and/or other online or mobile products and services relating to your web browser's activities across their network of websites. Many of these companies collect and use information under their own privacy policies. These ad serving technologies are integrated into our sites, online or mobile products and services; if you do not want to use this technology, do not play." --- Origin wasn't actually snooping around, turned out to be nothing. Nothing to see here, folks.

Hey there, So I had this recent problem with Battlefield 3 which I got for free with Origin's On the House promo... Whenever I play the game I get 1-5fps even on the menu... No it's not my hardware and no I don't have conflicting programs... Anyone else having this trouble? I got fed up and uninstalled it already... I might reconsider sometime in the near future...

Origin is offering custom built computers capable of 4K resolution gaming bundled in with a 4K monitor for less than $4,000 and, their Genesis-Z towers the company is offering “Dual ORIGIN CRYOGENIC Liquid-Cooled NVIDIA GeForce GTX TITAN Z’s for the price of one.” What do you guys think of their deals and, will you consider buying one of their systems with this sale? Fellow fans, I'm a bit confused on which ship would be best for what i plan on doing in Star Citizen. I want to be a sort of mercenary and doing anything for money. Nothing is out of the question, bounty hunting, information running etc. Right now i have a 300i so both the weapons payload and cargo capacity leave something to be desired I think, maybe I'm wrong. Any advice on a ship that would better suit my goals whether an upgrade to my current ship or a new ship altogether. Also how do you completely switch ships? Can i refund my ship for another or do I need to purchase outright again? Thanks!

I've recently been experiencing a very frustrating issue with my Origin account I've been experiencing this issue since E3 2014, where when I tried to login to register for the Battlefield Hardline Closed BETA and when I put in my details and clicked the login button, nothing happened, it just stayed there and didn't login and I've been trying to login on the Origin store online and tried logging in again and again everyday and the same. When I login to the Origin Application, I'm able to log in but it logs in 'Offline', I even tried going online but I get an error saying 'Online login is currently unavailable', although I was able to login through Battlelog and play Battlefield 4 I'm not sure what the issue could be, I've tried the Support option but when I login to my origin account it won't login and same happens. PLEASE HELP THANKS

Ok, I was trying to play some BF3 and all of a sudden it says,"You are currently offline. Go online to access the full range of Origin features." And i keep on clicking on "Go Online" but it does nothing.

Ok, so here i am playing a nice game of TDM and all of a sudden a saving screen comes up and the game closes. I look on the battle log and it says this: Game disconnected: your connection to the server timed out. This isn't the first time either, i just finally got sick of it today. Some one heeeeeelp! :)

Origin now does full refunds for games! At the moment it's only for EA published games. I think it's a pretty good addition, and that would be awesome if Steam started doing it to. Full article: http://kotaku.com/origin-now-lets-you-return-ea-game-downloads-for-full-r-1169643732

pleas spare steam keys i have had no luck

I do believe this is a belated April Fools joke, but let's assume it's not. According to The Verge, EA will now be offering full refunds on THEIR games through Origin within 24 hours of purchase. Whether it's been played and you just don't like it, doesn't work on your set up, or you realised it was EA and don't want to break your vowel to never give them money again. http://www.theverge.com/2013/8/19/4638752/origin-one-ups-steam-offers-refunds-on-all-ea-games I'm hoping that this kicks off refunds on Steam as well. I never understood why refunds are permitted for physical sale, but downloads are denied. A physical item, when returned has the seal broken and has become a second hand product, while a digital copy is still in perfect condition and can be re-sold (with a license key change).
