I am curious of the reasons, both verified and speculative, as to why there is a lack of more reasonable sized 4K OLED “gaming” monitors on the consumer market. Personally I’d not want to go beyond 27 inches. What I’d personally look for in an OLED is native 120Hz and with BFI. The less motion blur the better. I would pay a lot of money for this if only it existed.

I plan to go to the store either today or tomorrow to see them with my own eyes, I don't recall how they look hehe, I want to buy one soon For those who have OLED, how good is it compared to LCD and LED displays?

Summary The Christie Eclipse 4K HDR laser projector has 2 banks of 3 DLP chips used to create OLED black levels and contrast while maintaining 25,000 lumens. Quotes My thoughts This might be a better solution for Linus' theater room than the Samsung video wall. Hello, so I can currently planning to use my Alienware 13 r3 oled panel as a monitor for a pc I am going to built. I thought it was going to be somewhat easy, lookup the panel datasheet on Google and search for the driver board in AliExpress. I found out that my display's model is atna33kl05-0 it is 40 pin edp. But it is very odd when compared to other oled panels I've looked online, it has a separate input of edp on the left side of the panel, which I'm not sure what it is for. And searching through AliExpress it was hard to find any driverboard which supports oled displays.

Looking to upgrade my bedroom TV for the last few years I've had a 55" 1080 TV in the bed room and haven't really done much with it. I watch mostly YouTube and stream movies and TV shows occasionally. I've got a fairly capable PC with a 7600k and a 3070ti and am looking to get a xbox series x in the new year. I'm now looking to upgrade and I'm stuck at a cross roads between QLED or a cheap OLED both have amazing reviews both from good companies but just looking on other opinions. Samsung QE50QN90AAT neo QLED: https://www.whathifi.com/reviews/samsung-qe50qn90a-50-inch-neo-qled-tv Only 1 port supports 120 @4K LG OLED48C1: https://www.whathifi.com/reviews/lg-oled48c1-48-inch-oled-t All 4 ports can go to 120hz @4k There is another one if I don't want to sacrifice size but it's locked to 60 hz LG OLED55A16LA 55" Any advice or opinions would be hugely appreciated and thanks in advance

Hello! I bought the Asus ZenBook 13 OLED. The display is very good, but when I enable HDR in Windows 11 settings, the colors gets less vibrant it looks washed out. HDR videos look amazing though. Everything else look washed out and undersaturated. Is this normal or am I doing something wrong?

Hello, I am planning on purchasing either the Samsung QN90A 50” or the Sony A80J 55”. Both TVs are currently the same price at the sizes I’ve listed. I will be using either of them as a bedroom TV, which will be primarily for streaming tv series and movies, but I also will be playing on my PS5 from time to time (I primarily PC game). My bedroom doesn’t have a lot of light and I’ll primarily use the TV at night. After reading reviews and learning more about both devices I have started to favor the Sony TV based on the picture quality and the amazing contrasts OLEDs have to offer. I like the Samsungs overall look and the brightness capabilities for displaying HDR content, and not to mention the amazing response times the Samsung TV has to offer. The one thing that I am concerned with is OLED picture retention or “burn in” as I watch a lot of content with subtitles. I want the TV to last several years. Does anyone have good experience with OLEDs and subtitles? I couldn’t find any posts or articles mentioning this in recent times.

Hello hello! I'm furnishing my living room and I need a TV. In my bedroom I have the 48" LG C1 but for the living room I'm not sure if the C2 will be bright enough. for reference I've added some pictures and a video to show the living room at the end of the evening when the sun is stronger. I want to put a 65" TV on that wall where the window is. so, no direct sun light. Do you think the C2 is bright enough or do i need to go something more fancy? video: https://1drv.ms/v/s!Ak28wkY4l5kW7RJmJUigZbI-PGD7?e=dg0Baz Thanks

Hello all, My current computer is a AMD 5900x with 32gb ram and a 1070 gpu. I have 40 inch TV as monitor and 2 24" monitors, but one died and my 40 is showing its age. I hobby code and hobby game. I am looking to get a new monitor one big enough to replace at least 2 of the 3 monitors. I am thinking about a 48 inch oled or a G9 49". I have been looking into a 6900xt or 3080 gpu. My issue is the last time I took a GPU out of a machine I broke the clip that held the GPU in place. It was not too big of an issue, but I am nervous about doing it again. So my thought are just buy a console instead of the new gpu because its not like I am a pro gamer or something. Any thoughts on my issue or I should just man up and stop being a scared baby and change out the GPU?

Hi guys. For the past year or so I've been playing my games on my 4k Tv (It is a Blaupunkt 75" 4K TV, I believe I have the 2020 model) and the experience has been pretty good with a large screen but I feel like I'm not getting the most out of my 3080ti on an LCD panel and being limited to 60HZ. I play games like GTA with NVE installed and Cyberpunk where they are quite visually spectacular. Now I was looking at OLED TVs in a comparable size as I did get to try out the Aorus F048U for a while and LOVED it. From my research the "best" gaming TV people seem to agree on is the LG C2 77" Self Lit OLED EVO 4K TV (https://www.jbhifi.com.au/products/lg-c2-77-self-lit-oled-evo-4k-ultra-hd-smart-tv-2022?queryID=70120663b8526532d1236682684407d2&objectID=588546). However the new placeI have moved into actually has a far bit more space for my TV so going larger is possible. While researching I found the TCL 98-inch C735 (https://www.harveynorman.com.au/tcl-98-inch-c735-4k-qled-smart-tv.html). This one has a 120HZ VRR over the LGs 100HZ display but it seems like a bit of an unknown quantity, I saw an article saying it was only released 8 days ago but I'm not sure how accurate that is. I was just wondering if anyone had any insights as to what they prefer, QLED or OLED and if having such a massive screen size is worth sacrificing the OLED experience. My bedroom is totally light controlled so OLED dimness isn't an issue and the TVs themselves are within a few hundred dollars of each other depending on the website, I have heard good things about TCL panels but have never experienced one myself. Edit: I added in the local listings as these prices seem to vary wildly depending on where you live

Hello all, I recently purchased Asus Vivobook k15 Oled. By default it comes with hdr disabled, and asus says that it is pre caliberated, but on turning hdr on, the colors look a bit washed off except for hdr content, which looks amazing. If anyone knows whether it is calliberated for SDR or HDR, please tell me. I don't know in which one I should work...

Hello, As we already know that oled displays suffer from burn in therefore I am asking how bad is your oled display burn in after all these years. Surprisingly My Galaxy J2 which is almost 6 years old is still spotless except some weird yellow tint while displaying gray and other darker colors

Hello, I just got my DP - HDMI 2.1 adapter but I can't get 4k 120Hz in the Nvidia control panel. The "PC" resolutions only get to 2560x1440 120Hz. It's strange because when I initially connected everything it was working, but the borders were cropped. I solved the borders problem, disconnected-reconnected a few times and now I can't find the 4k 120Hz resolution. Already restarted the PC, updated drivers, checked windows refresh rate, reconnected cable + adapter in various ways and . Adapter and cable shouldn't be a problem since I already managed to get 4k 120Hz, they are both hdmi 2.1 rated.

Hi Guys, I purchased a new Nintendo OLED model today. However after purchase and setup I find that the download speed for any game/software from the nintendo e-shop is shockingly slow When I check the network speed from the switch internet settings it shows 10MB/s upload and download but game/software is downloading at 150KB/s Have tried changing DNS and MTU but that doesn’t help either. I am currently using a TPLink MiFi dongle and all my other devices are working absolutely fine. Have tried disconnecting all devices from the wifi but no luck. Tried placing the switch on the dock, placed it beside the dongle but that didn’t help Is the Nintendo estore garbage or the switch itself? Any help would be appreciated. thanks in advance Abhishek

Summary There is very interesting post on reddit detailing panel technology future. If you are like me, and you're just waiting for OLED monitors to really hit the market this year.. maybe read this reddit post first, just to get some insight for the coming months. Quotes My thoughts I would love to get me some 160+ PPI 27~ 4K OLED high quality panel, with whatever solid brand name slapped on it. Guess i'll have to wait at least 1 or 2 more years. Sources

I don't have the names right now, but if I recall correctly there are OLED TVs with incredible response time and even G-Sync / FreeSync compatible. Let's say that both our imaginary TV and Monitor have the following: 4K 144hz FreeSync compatible OLED At that point, does it matter if you pick the TV over the Monitor?

Hey Guys, My Great-Aunt is planning on upgrading from a Samsung 50in 1080p 3D TV (UA50ES6200) to a 75" ish inch 4k TV. Her current TV is connected to a Yamaha RX-A1060 AV receiver (which she will keep). Connected to the AV Receiver is a Apple TV 4K, Foxtel (Australian cable TV) and a DVD Player (WHY STILL!?!?) which is all being controlled by a Logitech harmony hub. What TV do you suggests she might get with a budget of like AUD$4,500. I am pretty sure she will want HDR, but doesn't need High Refresh Rate (as the AV receiver doesn't support this) I was thinking the LG C2 77", but would love to hear your suggestions.. I am going TV shopping with her this Sunday.

Hi all, I'm looking for some advice regarding displays. I'm currently running LG's 32" 4k display (32UN500). It's not a bad display by any means but I made the mistake of believing in that HDR 400 certification. I've been looking at getting an upgrade and I've wanted to go OLED but I've found there's a huge gap at the 32" margin. I'm finding that companies like Asus or Samsung make OLED displays at 27" or as large format gaming displays that are 42" or larger. There are a few displays that are 32" like LG's lineup of ultra fine OLED displays but they cost significantly more and don't seem to be marketed towards the casual video editor and gamer that I am. So I'm curious as I haven't found any good suggestions out there, is OLED worth the investment enough to go to the larger format display or should I settle for a display with local backlight dimming for what seems to be significantly less investment? Thanks for the advice in advance.

After recently building a decent gaming computer for myself, it has started making sense to upgrade my monitor. I'm working from home, and also gaming at the same desk. For a while I've worked with two 27" monitors, which is great for work, but having a split down the middle isn't ideal when switching to a game. When ultrawides became commonly available, I felt I had finally found a solution to that problem. The resolution of a 34" ultrawide isn't quite the same, but it's close enough. I'm going back and forth between two options and I'd like some input from people with relevant experience. The sensible option is going for an IPS monitor with a high refresh rate. Something like the GIGABYTE M34WQ (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6481n_Mza9Q) offers a lot of bang for buck without breaking the bank. The color accuracy and the flat panel means I can edit whatever I want without worrying too much about any kind of significant distortion. Proven LCD technology means it can go tens of thousands of hours without missing a beat. Added perks like the built-in KVM and the speakers are nice too and add flexibility. However, Dell/Alienware recently introduced the AW3423DWF (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k-6yc1dA--0). Considering Linus' gleeful giggling, it's seems to be just about the best monitor experience to be had at the moment. It's more than twice as expensive, but not prohibitively so. The main worry I have is that it's not going to last. Working from home means it'll be displaying roughly similar screens for hours on end, every day. When I hear @LinusTech say that based on his experience, he still recommends hiding the icons and taskbar, and that's almost exclusively gaming a couple of hours a day, I'm worried an OLED screen does not have the staying power a real working environment requires from it. Does anyone have experience with running an OLED monitor as their daily driver for work, and how's the experience?

I am running into an issue which may or may not because of certain standby modes or eArc features. When I have an HDMI from TV (eArc or regular) into the TV out, and have a Cable Box (optimum) into receiver, I will occasionally get sound and video. If nothing changes it may stay on, but its hit or miss and just seems to be random for when it works. The only way I found this setup works every time is having an HDMI from TV into the Receiver, and a separate HDMI from TV to the Cable box. It still handles the sound properly, but to me defeats the purpose of an A/V receiver. I have messed with the settings on the receiver and TV haven't found a combo that works. Any help would be amazing.

Is grain/film noise a by product of oled? I have played with every setting including turning off all energy saving and darker images look noticeably grainy. picture tests are super crisp and bright landscape scenes in an episode looked amazing but darker scenes look trash.
