Hello I am having trouble with my GPU, I am getting Artifacting sometimes on windows while booting, or even just watching YouTube video. The gpu reaches 100% usage whenever there is a tab opened. And at times it will stop displaying video until I restart the system. I've: Reapplied thermal paste, cleaned the card a bit with rubbing alcohol, reinstalled drivers (they used to say error 43 but recently not) I've reinstalled windows (had some wonky windows issues too when I just transfered m.2) There are repair shops nearby that I am thinking of going to and try to call.

Budget (including currency): Roughly 4K USD. I'm trying to not go over $2.8K before the graphics card, since it's around $1.1K itself. Country: USA Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects, Lightroom Classic, Photoshop, and games like Siege, Insurgency Sandstorm, and Battlefield (4/1/V/2042). Other details: The main reason for deciding on these parts was to create a computer I could upgrade later on, but would be pretty "future-proof"(?) for the next 3-4 years while I'm in college. Currently, my parts list was created by looking at a ton of builds between here and pcpartpicker, and currently looks like this: (** means I already bought it) CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 5950X 3.4 GHz 16-Core Processor CPU Cooler: Lian Li GALAHAD AIO 240 RGB 69.17 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler Motherboard: Asus PRIME X570-PRO ATX AM4 Motherboard Memory: G.Skill Trident Z Neo 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR4-3600 CL16 Memory** Storage: Samsung 980 Pro 2 TB M.2-2280 NVME Solid State Drive** Storage: Western Digital Blue 4 TB 2.5" Solid State Drive Video Card: Asus GeForce RTX 3080 10 GB ROG STRIX WHITE OC Video Card Case: Lian Li O11 Dynamic Mini Snow Edition ATX Mid Tower Case** Power Supply: Cooler Master V SFX Gold 850 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular SFX Power Supply Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 Home 32/64-bit Case Fan: 2 Lian Li UNI SL120 58.54 CFM 120 mm Fans 3-Pack** Monitor: Don't Know yet, but looking for a 144hz 2560 x 1440. Current total is around 2.7K USD without tax. The main thing I want to focus on is storage. In my current PC, I'm storing ~3.5TB of files, with a third of it being video files because I hoard those like a mf. The storage in my old PC (built in 2015 I think?) is a Samsung 860 500GB SATA SSD, a 2TB Seagate Barracuda HDD, and a 2TB Seagate Firecuda Hybrid Drive. The Firecuda might be one of the worst purchases I've ever made. The only drive I would even think about transferring over is the 2TB Seagate Barracuda. Currently, my old video files are 60fps 1920 x 1080, but I'm looking to start recording 2560 x 1440 with this new setup. So my questions are; Should buy the 4TB SATA SSD, or if I should just get another 2TB m.2 NVME? I'm probably going to get a large External drive (like 10TB) later on because of my video hoarding problem, so which one should I look at? Are there any other issues y'all see in the build? I'm assuming I'll get ridiculed for this build because this is the first time I've looked at more expensive parts, but I hope it isn't too bad. There's no time frame for buying these items.

Budget (including currency): Approx $250 Country: USA Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Red Dead Redemption 2, Warzone, Valorant, CS:GO, Assetto Corsa, iRacing, F1 2021, Cyberpunk 2077, Battlefield 2042, Software Development Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): Going to be using a 5900X with 2x16GB G.SKILL TridentZ RGB CL16. For storage, I'm going to be running a single 1TB 970 EVO PLUS. I've been reading a lot of mixed reviews for motherboards recently so just wanted to be sure that I make the right choice. Currently I am looking at the MAG X570 Tomahawk, is this a good choice or should I look at something else? I do not plan to overclock the system and plan to use it for a long time. Any help would be great! Thanks!

Hi everyone hope you are all well I have 2 questions: Q1- Can having too many things plugged into your USB slots on your motherboard cause problems ? like for example performance. Q2- the new system I built just shuts off when sometimes I use The Unreal Editor and RPCSX3 , What's going on, ?... The screen shots are below of my configuration. to be totally honest I never got this with my RX480 and i7 CPU,... I tried this so far.... -Fresh Install of windows -fresh install of the graphics drivers -I also made sure I had no viruses or malware Be honest with me folks is the combination of this hardware just a bad idea ????

Upgrading from an old AF iMac. Replacing that old thing since it's just stopped working. Looking at the 12 core as a form of future-proofing - am I crazy? 3900x is the cheapest Ryzen 9 model in this market at USD600! This was the only RX 5700 graphics card I could find in market - its USD590! Where can I start to shave off the price?

Budget (including currency): $2000 Country: United States Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: CoD Warzone, Cinema4d, After Effects, OctaneRender, Unreal Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): Planning to buy in January, i play games at 1080p at 144hz Hey folks, I'm planning my first build and have been researching a ton on what would make a great 3D workstation. I've been working off of macbooks for several years but would like something with a little more power now that I'm working cinema4d into my process. I'm looking at the i9-9900k and the GTX 1660 TI. Ideally, I'd like to get a mobo with two M.2 slots, and two pcie slots for gpu expansion. However, now I know the Ryzen series pack a ton more power. Am I shooting myself in the foot going the intel route? I know that bottlenecks can happen between a cpu and gpu. Also, now that pci-e 4.0 will be a thing do I need to plan for that as well? I'm still new to pc building and haven't really caught up with the latest tech so hopefully I can get a little more informed before building this thing. I'm not trying to future proof but I'd like this rig to last. This is the parts list I've got going at the moment: https://pcpartpicker.com/user/RamenKing/saved/zrkxsY Thanks in advance.

Budget (including currency): n/a Country: Bulgaria Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Games, some Video Editing, general usage Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): Its been almost 8 years since I've made my last build and its time for a new one, but what a time! I've been an AMD fan-boy for a long time, which you can see from my current PC, here. My biggest achievement with it, i was able to get AMD memory delivered from the States, which wasn't available in Europe shortly after it was available on the market.. Long Story Short, I've got a project, a what of goggling, reviews, etc and almost made my mind... but then decide to wait a bit more to see what's to be presented, and of course black Friday, for the final bit of shopping. I've already got: - NZXT H510i case(new) - slightly used overkill of PSU Cooler Master V1200 Platinum, which I've used for a few months of mining and saved for the next build. - RAM: 2x 2x8GB G.Skill 16GTZRX PC3600 CL18(new) - Samsung 970 EVO Plus 500GB NVMe M.2(new) - Samsung 850 PRO 512GB (from the old rig) - Seagate 2TB (from the old rig) - Sapphire RX580 Nitro+ SE (from the old rig) Here comes the wondering.. I've been looking to get the following but also currently considering the ones on the right: MB - ASUS ROG Strix B550-E <-> ASUS ROG Strix B550-XE - value/price depending CPU - AMD Ryzen 7 3800x <-> AMD Ryzen 7 5800x / Ryzen 5 3600X - value/price depending Cooler - NZXT Kraken X63 280mm - like the view, generally seems fine Also planning to upgrade the video, probably later(depends on availability) with either Rog Strix 3070, or something decent from Radeon if they come up with sth relevant. And of course a proper monitor, looking at LG 27GL850-B. Happy to hear comments on the remaining bit - MB / CPU / Cooler / Video / Monitor, where of course, we can't really tell for the components that are to be released yet. I'm looking to complete my shopping for MB, CPU and cooler by Black Friday at last. Video and monitor can't wait, but I wouldn't really wait more for the core bit.
