I was just wondering if anyone knows how the surface of Glorious Gaming Mouse Mat the differs from the surface of the SteelSeries QCK. I have been using the normal QCK for almost two years but I am thinking of switching to the Glorious Gaming Mouse Mat due to its larger size (also cheaper then buying an extended QCK). I play competitive games such as CS:GO so something like this could affect my playing experience. Thanks!

So no it's not my touchpad or anything it's just the pad you place your mouse on and move it around. My glides are quite worn now but it's still works fine on the desk, however when placed on the mouse pad I can drag it to the side of the pad all the way and it won't even travel half the distance of the whole screen. Increasing the dpi is obviously not a solution, the mouse just doesn't track the movement properly at all. I've never heard of a mousepad not working before but well it happened Only thing I can think of is something somehow happened to the laser or the mousepad coating (lel)

Hey guys, I plan on getting a new mousepad and my two options are the glorious extended mousepad (white) and the steelseries qck. My problem is that the qck (at least bigger versions) have a lot larger actual space for the mouse to move. However, a white mousepad would look a lot better on my desk. My question now is, if I can paint a mousepad white without damaging it or loosing quality? If yes: what kind of paint should I use? Other alternatives are obviously welcome Thanks to all of you

Im looking for a mouse pad to fit my desk. I cant seem to find any that seem like good quality. My desk depth is 460mm and the monitor mount is 250mm so a pad either with 450mm or 200mm would be perfect. The width has to be able to fit my keyboard and mouse so a wide pad would be best. Ive seen the AUKEY mouse pad but it doesn't fit the measurements exactly. Can anyone make any good recommendations?

I'm looking for a new mousepad since mine is really beated up. I'm between the Steelseries Qck+ and the Hyperx Fury Large, they are about the same price. Has anyone used both to tell me which one is better? or also suggest a different one about the same size.

Im going to buy a new gaming mouse and i figured a mouse pad would also be nice to prevent the surface of the mouse from getting rekt like my old mice i used on a wooden table, but the thing is there are these steelseries/razer/logitech "gaming" mouse pads in stores which are at an affordable price (7-13 euros) and there are other normal mouse pads that cost less than a single McDonalds big mac at 2-4 euros. They actually have this cool looking deadpool mouse pad that fits with my setup's theme but its not like some gaming mouse pad from raze/SS/logitech/ect ..... just a normal mouse pad priced at 3 bucks.I really want that mouse pad but then again im not sure what the difference is between a gaming mouse pad and normal one is, do gaming ones last longer ? do they have some kind of different material that makes the mouse sensor track better ? Or am i just paying for a logo ?

I was wondering what mouse pad I should get. I am aiming for more control over speed, and I have a Razer Tiapan mouse. I mostly play Minecraft (don't judge) and a game in beta called paladins. Any suggestions would be great! Thanks

Hello Community Of LinusTechTips! My mousepad isn't working. Only when my computer starts up (it's on for like 15 seconds) and then it completly stops. Any ideas of making it work again?

Hey guys, I'm looking for a new cloth mousepad because my old one is really fucked up after all these years of using it. As you may have read in the title it should be white as my setup is in black and white but black doesn't look nice (trust me, my old one was black). Also my setup has some green on it so I would be fine with some green on the mousepad as well. Mainly I was thinking of a completely white one with a black border around it, but other ideas are welcome However, even if it's important how it looks if should have a good quality!! Sizes are not really important Already a huge thank you!!!

Are you still using that little sissy mouse pad with the butterflies on it? You know, the one you got free from inside a cereal box. You are? Well, son, it’s time for you to become a man and have manly things-like a large mouse pad. That’s right! One so big you can fit both your mouse and keyboard on at the same time. Or even lie down and take a nap on it, if you want. Here is a short review of two versions of the Dechanic mouse pads. The Control Edition Extended Heavy and Speed Edition XXL versions. First up, let’s have a look at the Dechanic Control Edition - Extended Heavy mouse pad. Dechanic Control Edition - Extended Heavy * 36”x12” * Heavily textured weave for control game play * 6mm thickness * Optimized for all mouse sensitivities and sensors * Highly portable cloth-based design * Anti-slip rubber base * Machine washable * Stitching colors available (Black / Blue / Green / Grey / Yellow) The Control Edition - Extended Heavy mouse pad has a micro-textured surface, which is supposed to offer a more precise control for in-game accuracy. It does have a slight textured feel to its surface as you can see in the image below. As far as accuracy goes, I did not notice any difference between the Control and Speed editions. My accuracy seemed to be the same, regardless of which mouse pad I was using, and to me that’s a good thing. I am using a Logitech G400S optical gaming mouse, so maybe that had something to do with it. I do not have a laser mouse, so I was unable to test the accuracy with one of those. The specs clearly state that the mouse pads are optimized for all mouse sensitivities and sensors. So you should have no issues regardless what type of mouse you are using. The mouse pad is wide, and will easily accommodate your mouse and keyboard with room to spare. I love these larger sized mouse pads, they can help protect your desk from scratches, plus they look good on your desk. The Heavy version of this particular mouse pad is thick. Pretty comfortable, too. If you are like me and like to rest your arms and elbows on your desk, you will definitely appreciate having the thicker version of the mouse pad. Now we will have a look at the Dechanic Speed Edition - XXL version of the mouse pad. Dechanic Speed Edition - XXL * 36”x18” * Smooth cloth surface with taut weave for speedy mouse movements * 3mm thickness * Optimized for all mouse sensitivities and sensors * Anti-slip rubber base * Machine washable * Stitching colors available (Black / Blue / Green / Grey / Yellow) As you can see from the specs and image below, the XXL version of the mouse pad is pretty large, and I actually prefer this size. There is plenty of extra room for you to lay a phone or tablet on it if you wish to do so. If you want a larger pad, Dechanics does offer a larger size than the XXL, which would be the XXXL (36″x24″). Before deciding on one of the larger sized mouse pads, be sure you have the desk space for it. If your desk can accommodate the larger size, I would definitely recommend going for it. I love having the extra bit of space the larger pads offer. Plus if you have any imperfections in your desk, having a larger mouse pad can help cover them up. Depending on where they are located, of course. As for the surface of the Speed Edition, it does indeed have a smoother surface as the you can see in the image below. But once again, I was not able to notice any difference between the Control and Speed editions with regards to accuracy. Both seemed to perform extremely well for me. Your mileage may vary, however. In closing. The mouse pads come rolled up and wrapped in plastic. Once unwrapped and lying across your desk, they do lay flat. I had no issues at all with stubborn wrinkles. Both mouse pads look great and feel extremely well made. They do not feel cheap at all. They are thick and have some weight to them. Especially the Extended Heavy version. The stitching along the outer edges of the mouse pad is a nice touch, but it’s not there just for looks. This stitching should help protect the mouse pad against fraying along the outer edges. In the lower left corner of the mouse pad, you will find a small printed Dechanics logo. It’s actually a pretty cool looking logo, too. The bottom of the mouse pad is made of rubber and has a slight texture to it, and it does hold well to the surface of your desk. See bottom of pad in image below. I had no issues at all with the mouse pads slipping and both mouse pads offered plenty of room to maneuver the mouse around without going off the pad. As some of you well know, if you are using a small mouse pad and playing a FPS game, it’s pretty easy to get a little too excited and move your mouse off the pad. If you do not get that excited and are able to remain calm, well, then, I guess you are special. As for me, I will nearly be doing cartwheels during those intense gaming sessions so, the more room I have, the better. You will see the size difference of these two mouse pads in the image below. The Control Edition Extended Heavy (36″x12″) is on top of the Speed Edition XXl (36″x18″). These are great mouse pads, guys. I absolutely love them! If you are looking for a larger sized mouse pad, definitely check these out. I truly believe you will be impressed with the quality. You may check them out right here: https://dechanic.com Thanks for reading and take care, guys.

Do you guys think mouse pad matter? I'm getting Logitech mx800 mouse for regular use. If mouse pad matters then suggest me options.

Hello guys, I have the qck+ mousepad from steelseries and I am not satisfied. It has for me too high static friction. I've been searching for other mousepads and the corsair mm200 and mm300 got my attention. What's your opinion on them and whats the difference between those two apart from the non-fraying edges?

Hi there, I'm a first time poster although i have been watching Linus' channel for a number of years now. I was looking to upgrade my current peripherals setup with one following a certain colour scheme, white/navy blue. I've already ordered a keyboard, and custom keycaps for it. I was wondering if anyone knows of a good white/navy blue mousepad (preferably a large one, due to low sensitivity gaming i.e. CS:GO). I also would like a white/blue mouse if that is possible at all, i've seen a few white mice with customisable LED lighting. However, i currently use a razer naga, and i use the majority of the side keys, either for nades on CS:GO, or abilities on MMOs. Also, i was thinking about getting a wrist-rest for my new keyboard (60%) and was wondering if there was a white wrist-rest with blue stitching? I have seen a blue wrist rest with white stitching, but it is out of stock (leather filco wrist rest). I've been trying for a few days to look things up but i can't seem to find things to match my colour scheme. Perhaps i should incorporate black into it, as a lot of peripherals come in white with black accenting. Anyway, if anyone could give me a hand, i would be really grateful.

Hello This is my review of the Razer Manticor Aluminum Hard-surfaced Mousepad, my first-ever Razer product that I have personally bought for myself after I was introduced to them through my brother with the Razer Onza Xbox 360 FPS Controller (Yes I was a console gamer. Get rekt). Now this mousepad is not cheap guys. This is a $49.99 USD product and if you're in California, add 8% taxes on top that and that gets you up to $53.99 USD! Ouch. I bought this mouse from Fry's Electronics out of my own pocket. I am not sponsored, nor do I endorse them. I am just like every one of you here; a regular customer. Specifications This mouse pad is, of course, made out of a sheet of aircraft-grade aluminum and it's cold to the touch. It is a smooth surface for fast movements across the surface. It measures 10 inches long and 14 inches wide with a rubber sheet underneath to keep it in place. Now I can't tell you how thick the aluminum is since I don't have calipers on hand. And it comes in a robust, sturdy case that is a bitch to open. So Razer really has made sure that this mousepad will stay in pristine condition no matter where you take this to. What's In the Box Razer Manticor Aluminum Hard-surfaced Mousepad Hardshell Case with the mousepad in there "Fanboyism" Stickers Letter from the Founders How Is It? Now what I originally intended was to get a 2-in-1 mousepad from Razer (The Invicta) so I can have either a "Control" surface or a "Speed" surface, depending on what game I was playing. But however, I ended up getting on Manticor on "accident". But the experience of using it is, in fact, not very bad at all considering that Razer has made this mouse pad as a "Speed surface", but after some time getting familiar with the surface, I can still exert some level of fineness on this mouse pad. The mouse I am currently using is the Asus ROG GX850 mouse when I did this review (I will be upgrading to the Logitech G502 Proteus Core very soon). I was struggling trying to decide on the SteelSeries 9HD mousepad or a Razer hard-surface mouse pad. This Razer product, contrasting against the hate on the forums about them, is fantastic. I felt like in the end, I got my money's worth out of this hefty investment, and will surely last me a long time. Pros Very durable Hardshell case it comes in is robust and sturdy Large enough for someone like me Smooth enough for this to be considered a "Speed" surface with the mouse at the time of this review Cons The hardshell case is a bitch to open. I have to open it up from the middle of the front. Price ($49.99 USD) The Bottom Line Even though I have seen a lot of hate on the quality of Razer's products, this one is a no-brainer to me. Yes you are paying a lot for this mouse pad, however it is worth it at the end of the day. The quality is top-notch as well. For those of you looking for a "speed" hard-surfaced mouse pad, you may want to consider this mouse pad.

I HATE THE NEW GAMING LOGO and so I was wondering whether there was still a place online or a shop that still sold vengeance extended edition mousepads in the UK? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, including EU sites with UK shipping. Maybe a trip to Sim Lim Square will be required though, if they still have them there...

Which is the best mousepad that you would recommend? Right now I use the Steelseries qck+ which is quite big for most but I need a bigger one (that's what she said). Why do I need a bigger one? Well I mostly play CS:GO with a low dpi and sens (400dpi and 0.9 in-game sens), so I need as much place as I can. So I've been looking at extended pads. The three I'm looking at are: HyperX Fury XL: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00TY6A2D6?keywords=hyperx%20fury%20xl&qid=1444726298&ref_=sr_1_1&sr=8-1 Steelseries Qck XXL: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00YOY4R1G?keywords=steelseries%20qck%20xxl&qid=1444726951&ref_=sr_1_1&sr=8-1 Glorious XXL Extended: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00NOCZTTI?keywords=glorious%20pc%20gaming%20race&qid=1444727138&ref_=sr_1_3&sr=8-3 Which one is the best one do you reckon? (can't be thicker than 4mm, can't find specs on all thru googling (partly since I'm shit at googling lol)).

Hello fellow friends, I have a yamaha DGX640 Digital piano in front of my pc, and i use it as a table for my mouse and keyboard. My arms tend to rest on the keys and my palms always stay in the pointy line separation of the keys and the hardshell of my digital piano. With this in mind, im looking for a good extended or bigger mouse pad that can be benefitial for gaming and help me not feel the pointy separation of my digital piano. What do you consider to be the best mousepad? I´ve had a look online at Razer Extended speed & control and Glorious extended. Which one do you think will be the best for precision shooting on FPS games.

Hello, I actually have a 2 year old Razer Taipan used it a lot and it starting to fell unresponsive. I have been looking in to the Mionix NAOS 7000 ¿Any other preference? O the pad side, I don´t have too much idea on what mouse pad to buy. I have like 35 cm width and 44 cm height free for it. ¿Any recommendation? Thanks.
