Hi guys, im looking to pick up a budget server mobo and corresponding CPU, it doesn't need to be anything flash but does require the following: -ECC Ram support -a minimum of 2X8 pcie lanes (16x 2 slots with minimum 8 lanes each) for SAS and SFP+ cards NVME m.2 slot In my local market I have found this: ASRock C236M WS Micro ATX https://www.asrockrack.com/general/productdetail.asp?Model=C236M WS#Specifications

I built a PC for the first time last week. It's all up and running, and it works, to my relief. But something I've noticed is that when I turn my PC on, the motherboard's VGA LED light and the DRAM LED light blink red. I've done a quick google on this and it seems it's to do with a faulty/dead GPU (VGA), and improperly seated/faulty RAM (DRAM). The thing is, I get an excellent display with good graphics and the RAM is detected with no problem. Another conclusion is, I could have not plugged in certain cables right, as I was extremely cautious and didn't put much force into it, fearing I could break something if I did. If anyone has any solutions to this, or things I could try to fix it, I don't even know if I have to because the PC is working fine.

Hello everyone, I recently built my desktop and everything was working fine. Or at least I thought so. While browsing the internet, everything is fine, playing games is a nightmare. My ping up to 500 for like a few seconds every 10 seconds. You can find attached the picture of ping meter. I tried updating the drivers, disconnecting the antenna and plug it back in, updating bios, nothing works. Plugged to a usb tether or ethernet, everything works perfectly fine. Both my laptop and phone that sits in the same room don't have this issue. Trying to identify the issue I even set up my phone as a hotspot next to the antenna and I got the same result. Any ideas why this is a problem is welcome. Otherwise, I guess I will have to send it back. EDIT v1: Amazon refunded the motherboard while I got to keep it.

Hello, I face a problem when i use my atx corsair psu in oem dell optiplex 390 motherboard, i plugged the 24 atx connector and the 4 pin for cpu ( actually i have 8 pins but i split it in two) the light orange show up but when i turn on pc, there's no signs of anything, cpu fans doesn't turn at all, i tried many times but no result, however when i use an old matx hp psu 300w it work fine, pc turns on, so you will said that the problem is from psu but it isn't, i try this corsair with other pc and it works fine, so that's true there are psu which are no compatible with some motherboard?!

so im planning to put about 5/6 more argb peripherals in my pc a led bar, rgb fans , ssd cover, argb gpu cable, argb gpu holder and i wonder how many of them can i link up to just one chain link of fans or do i have to plug it in straight to the mobo? so it doesnt take too much power from only one argb 3 pin. im quite new to pc's so i dont really know alot about em

I'm trying to build an entry-level PC for 1080p gaming, I plan to use: AM4 Ryzen 5600 RX 6600 / RX 7600 1x SSD 2x 8GB RAM I'm aware that the price difference between A520 and B550 MOBOs is very small, but I still wonder which one does above build actually needs.

Hey i need help fixing my pc. So actually what happened is that i was trying to apply thermal paste to my cpu. Everything went fine until i tried booting it again after applying the paste it doesn't boot. fans does start and stay spining but there's no display and no light in keyboard or mouse. I unplugged my pc tried resetting bios by removing cmos battery for a bit tried booting same results as before then i removed my cpu cooler and found out i did spill some thermal paste on my motherboard and some on my cpu. I cleaned them both really good and made sure that cpu doesn't have any bad pins and same for the CPU socket everything looks clean tried booting it but same results fans spin no boot. Tried adjusting some components like GPU and Ram and connectors and still same results. Meanwhile i get answer to this, I have removed the cpu from the motherboard and let them both dry at a secure place. How do i fix it? I used HY510 paste and my motherboard is Gigabyte B450M S2H And cpu is Ryzen 5 3600 Any help is appreciated thanks!

My recent motherboard (ASUS TUF Gaming Z690-Plus DDR5) that I have changed out for a new one (MSI MAG B760 Tomahawk WIFI), since there had been a short in the rear I/O and thus fried all of the USBs and not allowing to boot. Now that I have changed my motherboard, everything became worse. Suddenly games have enourmous input-lag, sometimes taking several seconds before keys are registered, games loading longer than usual, freezing of screens and many more things. I just want to try and understand what is going wrong, since the input-lag really makes gaming unenjoyable. Here are my full specs: Intel Core i9-13900k 64GB 5200MHz (not on XMP, so on 4800MHz) DDR5 from Corsair ASUS TUF RTX 4070 Ti MSI MAG B760 Tomahawk WIFI Motherboard 850W Corsair PSU Hope someone could help!

I Have a corsair 7000d airflow case with two front panel usb cables but my motherboard has only 1 usb 3.2 gen 1 header on the motherboard. So far I found this (https://www.moddiy.com/products/USB-3.2-Gen-1-Motherboard-Header-19-Pin-Internal-USB-Hub-Controller.html) but i'm not sure if it's good enough, and also expensive and not sure if it will work. Can someone give me advice or a another option maybe even cheaper? Motherboard: ROG STRIX Z790-F GAMING WIFI

Hi, today I built a new pc but when I tried to boot it up I got the error "overcurrent detected in usb device! System will shut down after 15 seconds to protect your main board!" I have a ryzen 5 7600x MSI pro B650M-A wifi motherboard Corsair RM850e 850w power supply I tried booting with no usb devices detected, I check the usb ports and they all seem fine. I removed the motherboard usb connections to the front io. I tried resetting the cmos battery. I unplugged and replugged all cords from my psu. I don't really know what else to do other than contact MSI and hope they will send me a new motherboard. Is there any other options I have before that?

Hello! Can You help me pick between Asus ROG STRIX B650E-F, Gigabyte X670 AORUS Elite AX, Gigabyte B650 AORUS Elite AX V2, and msi tomhawk plus wifi? For reference this current build is for streaming/gaming/video editing, the video editing is professional but i dont go beyond anything 1080p, currently im slightly leaning towards the gigabyte tho i originally planned for asus, while researching i saw that asus was having quality issues from a couple months ago but i dont know if thats still going on, seems very hit or miss, "best board ive ever had" to ive had to rma my board 2 times, gigabyte seems to have bad audio codecs? tho i know i could probably get around with an amp but more money ;x; and for msi 1 mniute+ boot times and ive seen its really hit or miss. Also seems that there isnt much of a consensus, ive gotten so many mixed answers, its kinda overwhelming at this point. Basically in a nutshell if you could share experiences, what you've heard etc i would really really appreciate it since this is the first time ive made just a huge expense so i want to try to make the best decision possible thank you in advance! (also if you have other recommendations from the ones listed lmk!) Thank you in advance!

Hey I just got a new motherboard and cpu and ram and the pc was working the other day but when i tried reinstalling the cpu fan the pc stopped working and now every time i turn it on i get no display but it turns on and then i get a CPU and DRAM light and then the PC reboots and keeps rebooting every 20 seconds making a bootloop. I recently got new parts and put it into my build so I got a new motherboard the b660m pro rs, new cpu the 12600kf, and DDR4 ram 16gb and I can't test if its the ram or cpu because my old rig was pretty bad I had a i7 4770, ddr3 16gb and a good motherboard if it was 2013 lol. its not the power supply i checked it its getting enough power i have a 500 watt psu and my GPU is a 1650 Super which doesn't take up much at all. I've already tried all the basics like reseating cpu, reseating ram, reseating power connectors, and clearing cmos so yeah. What do you guys think? I really hope the motherboard isn't dead or the CPU I don't mind if its the ram tho.

It's exactly what the title says. I have Ryzen 5 7500f and 32gb (2x16) of ddr5 Kingston Fury I've tried: One ram stick and no ram stick Popping out the cmos battery, waiting 10 minutes before putting it back in Flashing bios Checking bent pins, even sent a macro picture to a friend and still nothing Letting it just run for 15 minutes Reseating the cpu and cooler None of these have worked for me. Any help would be appreciated- 3 replies

Hi! Trying to confirm that I bricked my motherboard, while trying to apply hardware raid in the BIOS settings for a server build. Specs: MB: Gigabyte B550 AM4 ITX CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600G RAM: 16gb DDR4 Corsair (2 sticks in the correct channels) PSU: corsair 650W Boot drive: Samsung 970 Pro 500GB Additional Storage: 2x WD 4TB NAS drives and 2x WD 1TB Blue Drive I had successfully built/booted the system, had installed ubuntu, and was working on the RAID setup. I went into the BIOS, went into advanced mode, enabled 2 RAID 1 arrays, and then saved the changes. Reboot started, and then the system just didn't come back. I waited an hour, still no display. Pulled power to both monitor and machine, rebooted, still no display. Removed everything except CPU and 1 stick of RAM, still nothing. At this point I am assuming the BIOS is corrupted. This was mostly new hardware except for the PSU, case, and fans. Anything left for me to try? Thanks in advance.

Buddy of mine brought me his computer and told me it wasn't displaying anything when he turned it on. I immediately thought broken gpu, so I put mine (RTX 2060) in his machine and it worked fine. When I put his gpu (RTX 2080ti) in my machine, however, it worked fine and booted and displayed as normal. My next thought was drivers, however upon installing updated drivers via GeForce experience on his machine, but the 2080 continues to not display. I'm at a bit of a loss and would appreciate some guidance on troubleshooting. The specs of the computer are as listed: -Cpu is unknown as is the mobo, although the mobo is MSI and supports DDR4 and has buttons to clear cmos and bios on the IO panel at the back of the machine -The graphics card that ISNT working is a ROG RTX 2080ti -The graphics card that IS working is a NVGA RTX 2060 I've done the following: reset cmos. Clean reinstall of graphics drivers, tried resetting ram, tried another PCIe slot for the graphics card, even took my PSU and put it into his computer and none of the above solved it. The only part I can gather is the mobo will print out the error code "d6" which looking into it only points to solutions I have already tried, at least to my knowledge. Any help with potential solutions would be greatly appreciated.
