So I made this Monitor/screen without really thinking of what to do with it. I dont want to use it as a secondary monitor because it looks extremely out of place. Just wondering if anyone wants to give me ideas for things i could use it for?

I am helping my friend with his phone becuase he screen just randomly went black. The backlight is working as I can see the back light up when I hit the power button. To clarify it is a HTC 530. Thanks for the help! 50709185601__5C77A47F-E545-4A43-AA74-C4EF55DB96F9.MOV

Hi guys, I am a new member in this forum, so hello everyone . I am planning to buy a gaming monitor and found out that 27'' QHD with 144Hz fps is the sweet spot of gaming monitors. However I really cant decide which one to choose. between ASUS PG278QR and ASUS PG279Q. Is the color reproduction so much better on the IPS panel in comparison to the TN panel? Is the viewing angle so bad in the TN panel? How about the quality control issues that ASUS has like backlight bleeding and IPS glow?

Hello fellow geeks so a couple months ago i dropped my op3 and the screen broke, everything worked fine though and i was planning on fixing the screen myself. However, last week suddenly my screen started to show green and pink colors all over it, and the bottom half of the touchscreen stopped working. the colors spread and the screen became darker and darker. a few days later the screen was completely black, but i can still feel the top part responding to touch input by vibrating (triggered by pressing the numbers on the sim PIN padlock presented after booting the phone). What i'd like to know from you guys is; what exactly is broken in my op3? I guess the LCD (seen as it's probably leaked liquid that fried the whole thing). And also, what parts should i order (through something like aliexpress)? Now, i wanna fix this myself, i have an ifixit toolkit lying around that i can finally put to use. I'm fairly handy at this stuff, so i'm confident i can revive the phone, if i have the right parts of course. Any advice is greatly appreciated Thanks in advance everyone Have a good one Joni

When I turned on the computer I instantly noticed that the monitor had some kind of issue, on the blacks the monitor renders this (see file attached) but then, when an image which requires backlighting or has brighter colors on, it fades out the "image", but it is still slightly visible. I was wondering what is going on with my monitor, it was not like that when I left it earlier this morning. This is not a reflection if not you would see me taking the pictures. It does it even when the video in (hdmi) is not plugged so that rules out the gpu as being the cause. And the two other monitors i have on the other side work just fine. plis help Other specs: Display: HP 2311xi GPU: Gigabyte G1 GTX 1070 8G

*Incomprehensible dinosaur screeching* I have recently picked up 2 21" 1080p 16:9 monitors from a friend of mine, and i'm currently trying to calibrate them. (Emphasis on trying.) They're two Dell 2208WFP TFT LCD monitors. The main problem is that there is some serious vertical colour shifting going on. When looking at the monitor straight, the top is cyan, the bottom is slightly pink-ish. When looking from a slight top angle, the bottom turns white pink / pink. When looking from a pretty steep bottom angle, the top of the monitor is completely cyan, and the bottom looks normal. It's basically like a kind of TN panel, only flipped 90o. Is there any way to negate this, and if not, is it just old age showing (bear in mind these monitors were used 16 to 20 hours a day for a good couple of years)? If there's no solution to this, be so kind as to tell me why they're fucked like this. :3 Cheers lads!

I need a monitor to game/ watch movies under Rs15000 = $150 Here are a few local retailers who offer monitors in my country, http://www.czone.com.pk/lcd-led-monitors-pakistan-ppt.108.aspx https://www.paklap.pk/computers/computer-accessories/lcd-led-monitors.html http://www.pakdukaan.com/41-led-monitors http://www.megacomputer.pk/accessories/lcds-leds.html?dir=asc&order=price&p=2 http://www.vmart.pk/lcd-monitors-pakistan/ https://homeshopping.pk/categories/Computer-Monitors/ http://www.shophive.com/laptops-computers/computer-peripherals/computer-monitors https://www.daraz.pk/computer-monitors/ https://shoprex.com/computers/monitors/led/

Hello all, this is my first post here. I have a BenQ E2200HD monitor that works for a moment but then goes dark. When I turn it off and on again it works for 5 seconds before going dark again. After some research I believe this generally means it has a faulty capacitor so I took it apart. However, I don't see any bulging or leaking ones, just a few that are crooked. I made a few photos that I will add to this post in the hopes that maybe one of you can spot the problem. Thanks in advance.

It would be pretty cool to see other manufacturers implement this into some of their graphics cards though. I think that it has some interesting potential.

After about seven years of use my 2007 MBP started to display a vertical line -- the line only appears in the one area (see picture below), but sometimes there's a second/third line right next to it of a different color. The lines come and go as I move the screen but there is no predictable pattern. Also, if I press on the screen (lightly) then there is also a grey hazing (which goes away as soon as I remove pressure). Obviously the screen is bad, but I was wondering what causes the lines to come and go, why they're different colors, and why a bit of pressure causes a grey hazing (sometimes that takes up the whole screen and others just part of it). @Glenwing

Basically the question is above. I've been looking at LCD controller boards on Ebay for a panel from a broken all-in-one, but I can't tell what any of the connectors are. I've seen eDP, vertical sync cables, LED power cables, single laptop cable which do everything all at once - how do I identify each type of connector and what types of connector do I need to be aware of? I've tried to find guides but I couldn't find anything. If anyone can explain to me or point me to a guide that'd be really helpful.

We're looking into getting a 4K TV. OLED is obviously the way to go, but it's way too expensive. Do you think it will get any cheaper soon? How long before a good 65" 4K OLED panel lowers into the sub $3 000 range? Also, what is the best sub $3 000 4K 65" TV right now? EDIT: Thanks for the replies, much appreciated. I forgot to say I mean $3000 CAD.

So uh, I managed to crack my LCD display on my Nexus 5 and was wondering if buying a replacemnt screen for it online (eg. eBay, LLTrader) is a good investment (~30e).The only thing I'm worried about is the quality of the display and digitzer - I'm sure I can replace it just fine, but if buying a screen is a good idea and if so, any recommendations ? I've well aware of etradesupply and LLtrader, as well FixEz. Would their quality differ ? Thanks

Hello guys, im currently buying a new monitor and since i dont have much money, im going for the used route. I found a nice monitor for an okay price here: LCD samsung monitor 24 SyncMaster B2430 i know led has smaller power consumption, but since im not paying electricity bills that isnt really my concern haha. i have just these two questions: -does lcd put bigger eye strain on your eyes than a led backlit screen would? -is there a noticeable difference in image display quality?

I'm currently using a Dell E2414H as my main display, which is a TN LCD panel. I want to get another monitor of the same size to accompany it. However, the one I'm looking at is IPS LED. I've heard that IPS is better than TN. Is that true? What are the differences? And will they look noticeably different right next to each other?

Hello, So I am thinking of making a not so 'logical' project. Here's what I think I want to do. I wanna make a big display which could be possibly thin. So here are my questions 1. Is it possible to buy only a display panel from any store or online marketplaces? (LCD Atleast 40" and above) 2. If yes how do I drive that display? Is it possible to rewire it to a monitors board that supports same resolution? Will there be completions cause monitors mostly supports higher RR and response times. At this point you might ask why don't you just buy a TV? Well, I do have a 4k TV this is something I wanna do for fun. See I am a mechanical engineer and I find electronics an interesting subject, so think of this as a curiosity project. #Main question is it even possible? I might be talking complete gibberish cause I don't know anything about electronics other than building PC's Never dived in to circuits and boards. So Is it technically possible or all of this is impossible?

Alright so I tore a Keurig 2.0 K400 apart and got the 2.5" resistive touch Lcd module that I am having issues finding any information on, can someone help? This may not be the right section for the type of problem i have, but whatever, its a display problem anyways. So, recently i traded one of my subwoofers for a friends S5 that had shattered both - the digitizer and the amoled display thingy itself. As the displays are pretty cheap on ebay and aliexpress, i had an idea to order one from there, but almost all that i see have the words LCD, not AMOLED, cause originally this phone came with an amoled screen ofc. If it is actually an LCD not a amoled screen, will it still work on the phone ?

Hello. I bought Lamptron CM430 yesterday. And today it lies blown up next to my PC. Are there any good quality fan controller which actually don't have cables with contacts popping out of connector after connecting fan, causing shortage and blowing out device? And ones that don't have terrible cold joints on PCB and almost soldered together accidentally pins? And maybe ANY short circuit protection AT ALL? Oh almost forgot about dent fan connector on PCB sticking out under like 60 degree instead of 90... Jesus Christ this thing felt like cheap toy soldered by poor Chinese kid on rice shortage... I tested it on separate PSU and fans because I was afraid it's gonna blow out whole PC. I need thermal sensors support and It'd be nice to have hot-plug capability as I need to connect it to 24/7 running server and I'd like to connect it without shutting down whole thing.

Hi, so ill make this quick. I have a 24' Dell Monitor, where it has an issue. Basically, on the right side of it (maybe like a quarter of it) theres like a faded color that is pink-ish when its on white/lighter parts of the screen. The monitor worked fine, and never had this issue on Day 1. It maybe started about a year ago, where it was pink. But about 3 months ago, it just stopped and it was 100% clear and good. Then about a week ago it happened again, but then when i just clicked the menu button on it, after a few seconds, it was completely gone, just like that. Now its back again. I just don't understand. It's not the PC because i have dual monitors and the other one, even when set in primary, is completely fine. I don't have any magnets near-by. And like i said, this has happened before, but fixed itself somehow after awhile. And also, when im in a certain page for a decent amount of time, when i exit that page, you can see some of the page STILL THERE on some of the right side. Right now, im doing an 'LCD Conditioning" test thing where its going through different colors slowly. It doesn't really seem to be doing anything been running for about 30 minutes so far. If anyone could give me any tips, i would appreciate it! Thank you

Hello, I own a MSI GS73VR laptop since 5 month. I got some problems with it, like one dead pixel (white), and 2 area in each side of the screen that is less bright than the other part because I left a microfiber cloth inbetween the screen and keyboard saturday afternoon (it was very little wet but when I opened le LID then the LCD was a little wet were the patch are). The keyboard start to print it's key on it also (this is why I put the microfiber inbetwwen the keyboard and screen initially, after noticing that). This is not covered by the warrantly (of course), so I decided to eventually buy a new screen (1920x1080, not the 4k) to replace the one that I destroyed. I've seen a video on youtube (hard problem to find) but I need some hint before to start: Here is the video but it show little to no information about how to replace the screen: 1. Were to buy the screen replacement ? I live in france and I'm afraid of long shipping or broken screen. Do you know some good online shop for that? 2. The bezel around the screen is glued, I can use a pick to remove it but how I could glue it again after the replacement of the screen ? I need some double tap or the one already on it will be reusable ? 3. Tools needed: Only a few screwdriver and a magnetic surface to not lose tge screw? I guess I forget nothing? 4. Do you know if other alternative exists ? Like taking the original screen ou of the lid then clean the polarized filter inside the lcd to make the patches disappear? Thanks you so much if you try to answer me. I can make a little description of me in the appropriate section but I just arrived to work in panic and found the forum to post my problem. I can look for the section in the day and post who I am when I got a little time. Thanks Edit: Here is alittle bad quality picture showing the patch on white screen:
