Hi All, Within the last 2 weeks I've been plagued with a problem where on boot my monitor will display in 1280x720 at 100hz but the image is not stretched across my monitor it's displaying that image in the center of the monitor and only using those pixels (see picture). On some restarts it will display 1920x1080 (like it's supposed to) but it then only runs at 100hz and wont go any higher. I've been able to temporarily fix it by only running 1 monitor and unplugging and then plugging the monitor in coupled with restarting my computer. This issue is now permanent when I run this 1920x1080 monitor with my 4k monitor. This morning I also started having the issue where when running 2 monitors my 1920 monitor would display a black screen then come back on and then repeat whenever I moved a window on either monitor. System: CPU: AMD 5800x GPU: RTX 2080 with a minor overclock Monitors: BenQ XL2420Z (1920x1080 1ms 144hz) LG 27GN950-B (4k 1ms* 144hz)

Hello everyone, I have an Asus Desktop G11CD-K PC (the K is for Kabylake version) wich i disassembled to clean all its parts (including Graphic card fan, its Processor and cpu fan and by replacing its thermal paste, and also its front components). After cleaning: I did these steps: I assembled it correctly, but to be honest i did not think that i used all the right screws, but i chose it by its placeholder forms and places. i turned-on my PC, i found that CPU fan, Graphic Fan, PSU and HDD worked well, but all other parts did not work, like back-fan, all USB peripherics, no signal to the monitor etc.. I tried all possibilities: Disassembling and re-assembling again many times. Changing RAM to different slots testing it one by one. Testing with basic components. Removing all parts and add it one by one to see if something can make a change but still no changes. I took out my mobo and test it out of the case but there are nothing again. I tested my monitor signal sometimes with PCI GPU , and sometimes by iGPU and in the two cases there is no changes. I pulled out my back-fan (which was not working on the mobo) and i tested it out of the mobo with a 9Volts battery, it worked well. I checked all my ATX-24 pins PSU voltages with multimeter and with a PSU tester, it gave me the right voltage values. I reset my CMOS too by pulling out its battery and waiting for 20 minutes, but the issue still existing. Finally, i plugged my usb mouse and/or my usb keyboard, it lights for milliseconds then it turns-off. Extra details: When turning-on my PC: CPU-fan,PCI-GPU-fan and also HDD are turning all well, but all other parts plugged directely on the mobo does not (like usb ports). I used a HDD station to check if my HDD still alive and yes it is fortunately and i was able to recover my data. When cleaning, I used this electronic cleaner liquid. I was not sure but i have a doubt about this step, becasue when reading its manual, it says "it is safe for electronic devices and electronic boards). After all precedent steps, i used also another electronic cleaner liquid after watching this video hoping that it can help me to remove any problem, but this did never also help. Before cleaning, i assured that there is no component attached to the current neither to the PSU, and i harded-reset all capacitors by long-pushing power button for 30 seconds to empty all currents from there. The only thing i forgot here is pulling the CMOS battery from the MOBO. I hope it can not be a cause of a short of something. Remarks: I was obligated to use "contact cleaners liquids" because in my country there is no shop buying compressed air and i wanted to order one from France but they told me it is forbidden because it is flammable. I'm a developer, so I have many basic ideas and knowledge about electronics and hardware but i still beginner, so i can learn and understand anyway.. What i expect to know here: What can be the cause of this issue ? is it the cleaner itself or cleaning when the battery is plugged into the mobo? or it could be another thing ? If it is the cleaner: is my mobo is damaged now or not? and this can damage other parts like cpu or they are safe so i can use it on another mobo? Can i repaire it? or i should just replace it or the damaged parts? Can i use my multimeter to check the mobo and/or the CPU at least? Have you any other troubleshooting suggestions ? My first goal in this forum is to learn more than repairing, so i hope you can help me by answering all my questions. thanks

Hey folks! So my pc have been doing some weird things lately when i power it on! I press the power button and it turns on then after about 2-4 seconds it shut down and then starts again and after the restart thingy it works perfectly fine no issues when it's booted into windows. It happened after i had to do a CMoS clear, i saw some dude online saying it was the ErP option in bios that needed to be turned off, but mine was already off. My specs are: MSI Tomahawk x299 AC i7 7820x 32gb ddr4 corsair vengeance 2666MHz RAM Geforce RTX 2080 8gb watercooled 256gb M.2 some Intel drive 500gb OCZ SSD Corsair AX 860w PSU

Hello guys, Hope someone can help me thanks in advance <3 I just switched from intel to amd and once i had everything running i noticed Ryzen Master was returning a 70+ C idle temp which to me seemed insane. Maybe it was poor thermal paste application but after revisiting that i can confirm that was not the case. I turned to maybe Ryzen Master temp reading is wrong so i installed HWiNFO64 where i saw the CCD1 and CCD2 had a 30 C difference between them and CCD1 was running at 70 C while CCD2 was running at acceptable 39 C Here is an after image. Do i have a defective chip? because this has so far not seemed like a good purchase.

TLDR: Certain apps (Search, Microsoft Store, and Sticky Notes) are not recognizing my keyboard while other applications are (Spotify, Edge, and Steam). Most likely software issue (Happening with other keyboards) Using Windows 10 (19042.746), on a ASUS G14 Laptop. Problem/Info: My keyboard is not being recognized in Settings, Search Bar, Sticky Notes, Microsoft Store, and the Xbox App. It is working in Spotify, Steam, and Microsoft Edge. I can type in the address bar of file explorer, but I cannot search in file explorer (This File Explorer thing is very confusing to me) I have tried the onscreen keyboard and a different keyboard, but both are having the same results. This is leading me to believe it is a software issue. I am using a ASUS G14 Laptop, Windows 10 Home (19042.746). I have my Laptop plugged into power, and in high performance power mode. Not sure if this means anything, but in Task Manager the tasks "Search" and "Windows Shell Experience Host" are suspended with the green leaf (UWP Process Group is suspended...) next to them. The issue is not that I am not getting any results when I search. The issue is that I cannot type anything to search Possible Issues: TaskBarX was installed. Downloaded from GitHub. Uninstalling it did not change anything, so I doubt that was the issue. Not sure if there is anything else. Only thing that I did between it working and not working was shutting down my laptop. Solutions I have tried: Restart Laptop multiple times Windows Virus Scans (nothing came up) Onscreen Keyboard Different Keyboard (Bluetooth) Running cftmon.exe (as recommended here) Uninstalling/Updating Keyboard Drivers (HID Keyboard Device in Device Manager) Solution Mentioned in Comments Here Ran "sfc /scannow" in Admin Powershell Ending/Restarting Windows Explorer Restarting Windows Search Service This powershell script thing Rebuilding Index Disabling Bing Search Resetting Windows Search via this Powershell Script provided by Microsoft Similar Post Regarding This: "Keyboard not working on start menu" Thanks in advance!

I have a MSI GTX 1060 6GB ARMOR OC (https://www.msi.com/Graphics-Card/geforce-gtx-1060-armor-6g-oc.html), and the fans randomly rev up when I'm not doing anything or when I'm playing a game and only when my GPU hits 59-60 degrees it goes in the 2000rpms it even hit 4700rpm once. not at 58 degrees or lower, then they're not spinning, but it doesn't overheat. is there maybe a software that could fix it? or is the fan control on my card broken. Help would be greatly appreciated!

I bought a pre-built pc for a presumably good price around (1300$) specs seemd pretty decent but im not sure if the performance is as good as it should be for such a build. So my previous system was a ryzen 5 1400 with an gtx 1050ti 32gb G.skill CL16-18-18-18-38 and it was running at 3200Mhz on XMP on a b350 gaming pro. after putting in a RTX 3060Ti I had to replace the motherboard to an Aorus elite b450 because the PC was shutting down on heavy load due to GPU which the motherboard was not able to handle. After getting the new board within a few days the ethernet port was not working i didn't see this as a big issue so i went along as i had a wifi pcie adapter in here that supported 5Ghz network and my router is just a few feet away from it, Still i ordered a Pcie ethernet adapter... This is where the issue started... when i game if i had ethernet plugged in the PC would shut down, no BSOD, nothing.. just turns off... after this i started using wifi and that issue was never encountered. ram was running fine at 3200Mhz too. recently i upgraded to the ryzen 5 3600 THIS is were the real issue started i booted in and set XMP to 3200. First game PC just turned off. I put it back at 2133 and it was playing finr.. so i went and manually adjusted speed to 3200 and adjusted the voltage and timings myself and and ran memtest and it was fine so i went about using my pc as usual... i ran the pc whole night.. played a lot of apex matches, a lil fortnite and GTA 5 and about 24hrs later it again randomly shut down... i rebooted without changing ram speed back to 2133 and got back into apex and it shutdown immediately again(its a shut down not a reboot okay). i changed speed back to 2133 in bios put voltage to auto and it runs again. then again i set it back on 3200mhz.. again ran for about 12-15hrs doing multiple tasks. and again same thing happens out of nowhere it shut down. What could be causing this issue? Does it have something to do with the motherboard.. considering it showed previossimilar behavior with ethernet after the inbuilt ethernet port failed. Any help by you guys would be appreciated. Thanks.

On March 29, around 11:50 AM, I was watching a video on my Asus Tuf Gaming F15 Gaming laptop. The battery usually lasts a few hours, 5 at most. Anyways, in the middle of said video, I got a notification from what I think was Armoury Crate asking me if I wanted to switch on a certain mode in order to conserve the battery, as my laptop was plugged in at 100%. I clicked OK, as I didn't think it would be much of a problem. Several hours later, after unplugging my laptop (I had been in a Microsoft Teams call), I immediately noticed that my battery was being drained at ridiculous speeds. I'm talking 100% lasting just over an hour. In addition to that, my fan is unbearably loud at all times, and I have no idea how to disable this thing that's causing my laptop to run so aggressively. Even as I type this, the fan sounds like a jet engine. I would, really, REALLY appreciate any and all input. I've checked numerous times, and I don't have anything at all running in the background. I did find something in the logs that is most likely the input I gave when I clicked OK, so I will be including a screenshot of that. And the sudden change in battery life was sudden, not gradual. Just the day before yesterday I was using it on battery for hours at a time. Again, I REALLY need some help with this. I haven't been able to find anything online resembling my problem, so I'm turning to this forum for help.

Basically it all started around April 3rd, Just enjoying some games, and my computer monitors went black, my keyboard and mouse rgb turned off and my pc rebooted, I instantly thought my power supply went bad, so I ordered a replacement (EVGA g3 750w) it has now been a week, The power supply has been in for 4 days, and the issue is still present, I am unsure of what's causing it, It happens when I run most games that require a bit of power to run (Cyberpunk, Overwatch, Counter-Strike, Fallout 4) and I am completely lost on things to do. Ive had people tell me its software issues, my GPU is going bad, my motherboard has an issue. Ive downgraded most updates that i've had in the past weeks and nothing has changed, I might just factory reset my pc just to see if it fixes it. Furmark basically has been my best source to show off the issue, when you run Furmark, it instantly crashes my pc. Im able to do basic tasks, like work on coding project, open zoom and play the binding of issac, but nothing more than that. Im pretty sure its not a thermals issue, because the amount of fan in my pc is kinda overkill, and temps are mostly normal, they range from like 34-40 at idle, and 70-80 at max load. Im compleatly stumped to what could be causing this issue, ive tested everything I could have, Ive even went as far as updating the bios, to no avail. So I Leave this issue to you helpful people, in hopes that you guys (who are much smarter than me) can give me solutions or tips to either figure out the problem or solve it. Hey guys, first post here. I'm having an issue with my RTX 2080 Ti Aorus Extreme. Generally, when playing games after a while my GPU fans start spooling up to 100% speed for about 1 second, then return to the normal speed and after few seconds the action is repeated. This issue happened after I reinstalled the drivers with the DDU , so maybe this is the reason, but I couldnt find any anwsers. The only post I've found is this: but it's kinda old so instead of reviving it, I'm writing this one. And it wasn't solved. Like OP in the post mentioned above, I've set up fan curve both in Aorus engine and MSI Afterburner but it didn't solve the issue. Setting the fan speed to a constant percentage also didn't help. On the NZXT CAM software I can see that the GPU when under load constantly has the 85°C temp. What can be the culprit? Thanks in advance Specs: MB - Asus Z590-E CPU - i9 10900K Cooling - Z73 Kraken RAM - 32GB 3200MHz G.Skill GPU - 2080 Ti Aorus Extreme PSU - Corsair HX750i

Hello! I just recently built my first pc, which is mostly black and white themed. I have a Vetroo v5 rgb cpu fan with "addressable rgb", but for some reason upon turning on my pc for the first time it stays on the color yellow (not even rainbow rgb). I have a b550m d3sh mobo and the fan has a 3 pin "ARGB connector" but since im new i had no idea where to plug this in my mobo so i just plugged it in my mobo where it says "D_LED2" (heres the layout of the mobo: https://download.gigabyte.com/FileList/Manual/mb_manual_b550m-ds3h_e.pdf on page 4) I tried looking up how I can change the color or fix this, but to no avail. It really makes my pc look weird with everything else being black and white... please help!

Quick summary, I don't have a clue on why my PC Occasionally stutters in audio and display. In my case it happens occasionally. when it does happen its a quick stutter that occurs for 5 seconds and then my pc runs back to normal perfectly. I was told to get a Screen shot of statistic while running MSI Afterburner once it happens again so here it is. If it helps and someone has an Idea of what I can do whether I need more memory or anything please let me know. PC Specs are placed under the photos. What's circled in yellow and pointed with arrow is the exact moment when the 3 second stutter occurs. then runs back to normal My Specs are Ryzen 7 5800x RTX 3060 ti Zotac 2x16 G.Skill 32GB gigabyte pro wifi aurous x570 motherboard AIO cooler Galihad 240 and 6 led fans x2 M.2 1TB SSD P.S this post is a follow up from my previous post.

Hello! A few years ago I built myself a new rig. When Forza Motorsport 7 came along, I had no problem playing it with an AMD Threadripper 1920X, 32 GB of DDR4 RAM and a Vega 56 Graphics card. While there were some times the game just crashed out of nowhere, it was running very well, when it was running. However fast forward to today with an upgrade to 64 GB of Memory and a RX 6700XT, I can start the game, but it runs on the lowest settings with not even close to 30 FPS. I tried some settings in the Radeon driver software and reinstalled the game three times (each install took very long due to my slow internet connection), but with no success whatsoever. Thanks for any helpful answer in advance! Ben

Hello, people, I need some help with my PC, you see, it is having a lot of trouble with itself, even if I am just on Discord and typing, it goes up to at least 35% or higher on my CPU. Here is an what I saw when I was downloading something on my computer: I am really worried, because, at the moment, my PC is very loud, like a growling noise it is producing, and, my CPU and disk get to at least 80% or more as well as my memory increases when I am playing on Pixelmon with Technic launcher (Using 9GB of memory on my 12 GB RAM installed.) It just does not appear to be how it was before, it has gotten very sluggish and takes about 20 minutes just for one thing to uninstall, which was NEVER like that originally. So, basically what I am trying to tell you guys is that my PC may have an hardware issue, why I think this, is due to the fact it had a MAJOR FPS drop about 3 days ago now, where I was playing ROBLOX, and it all of a sudden froze and took like 10 minutes to return to 'normal' again, or, I would just be VERY laggy, where I would be running at like 2 FPS on my computer, when the game is only a building game with not that much on it. My PC had to go through a new hard drive since the old one got corrupted as I messed around the Registry when using Auslogics, trust me, DO NOT USE IT, IT IS VERY RISKY and it can make you potentially in danger as it is just a scareware for your computer. Anyways, I also noticed that my PC would be hot sometimes when I am playing Pixelmon. I also had to go through 4 melted kettle leads to then use another one after, like I am doing right now. My brother ordered me this one from Amazon, which was like £8, I do not think price exactly matters?? I am unsure of this. But, I also have told my parents, to the point where I was crying because I am afraid it is going to overheat like my OLD PC back in early 2020. (It was a bag of rubbish, the RAM was worth like £3 or something. It was THAT low-end.) When I told my dad and showed him the screenshots of my PC when I was just on Discord, and Microsoft Edge, using HWMoniter to show my PC's state it was in at that time yesterday, he told me it is "all normal, my PC reaches 45 degrees when I am doing nothing, do not worry, Betherz." I do have my doubts, like I am right now, because, my dad does not know a lot about computers, but, he did build my PC for me, (it being a custom built one by Acer.) I just asked my mum to take it to a repair shop and let them have a look at it, she told me she would, but, then my dad told my mum that "They will ask you to get a new CPU, graphics card and everything when you don't need it." This is what my PC is like at the moment when I am just using Microsoft Edge, Discord, Snip and Sketch, and HWMoniter: If anybody could reply to me and give me some information on what I can do would be helpful. Thank you.

Hello, unfortunately, I am experiencing automatic starts of my PC. This usually happens about 3-5 minutes after shutting the PC down. For the last days I "solved" this problem by switched the Power-Supply off when not using the computer. After doing so and then switching the power supply back on the PC doesnt start by itself I'm using the latest Insider (Release Preview) Windows 11 Pro V 21H2 (Build 22000.469) version. This behavior started before enrolling to Insider builds. Unfortunately, it doesnt appear to be one of the basic problems. As shown below there is nothing set to be able to restart the computer. (Ignore the waketimer; this one's to install an update is isn't there usually.) Event Viewer doesnt show anything of significance. PC is plugged directly into the wall. Does anyone know any further possible reasons for the PC starting itself? System: Ryzen 3600 Gigabyte B450M DS3H GIGABYTE RTX 2080 GAMING OC G.Skill Aegis 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3200 CL16 Memory
