I have the i7 6700k @ 4.6 1.35v and my cooler is the grandis xe1236. I have it at 100% fan speed but when I run any stress test (aida64, OCCT, H.264 test etc) I get crazy high temps like 80+. I have re-seated and re-applied the thermal paste 4 times now. At first I put too much on and I saw a decrease in 6C when I put less on but it's still at 80C and I don't understand why. This cooler is meant to be as good the H5 universal yet even the hyper 212 can do better according to tests I've seen online. Help would be appreciated. Thanks.

FIXED Right now I have a gtx 1070 strix, and it is at 80'c and the hdd next to it is 56 degrees max, (but it is a server hdd, toshiba p300 4tb) Crystaldiskinfo says that 56 degrees is bad. So im considering a rear exhaust card, because right now too much heat is going into my case, sharkoon itx c10. So should I do something with my case cooling or buy a rear exhaust cooling card?

Hello, So I bought a brand new 7700k, MSI B250 PC MATE and DDR4-2400 MHz 8GB. I have a Cooler Master Hyper 103 cooler and the temps seem a bit high. Idle 30-40C and when gaming(CSGO), the temps are above 65-70C and the highest I've seen was 79C. I've also noticed random spikes from 40s to 60s when opening programs and browsing the internet. Prime95 v26.6: Prime95 v28.10: I have already cleaned the cooler, heatsink and applied the thermal paste twice, yet the results are still the same. So how could I improve this? Is it really the best this cooler can do or is there something wrong? Thanks

Hi so i just spent the last say hour taking my 200mm fans off and installing 2 120mm fans to have push pull on my corsair h100i v2 and now my temps are crazy high.. beofre i was getting 55c under load max and around 24c idle, now im getting 50c idle with random spikes up to 74c (when doing simple things like typing this forums post, i only changed the fans, any ideas as to what is going on, system specs below: CPU 17 6700k (stock) Ram EVGA DDR4 3000 gpu gtx 1060 clc corsair h100i v2 (currently in push pull with 4 120mm fans) ssd ocz 480GB hdd 4tb seagate mobo Asrock z170 Exetreme 4

My 1080 ti Poseidon from Asus is running much hotter and louder than it should. I sent it back and they said there was no problem with it. In my testing, open air sub-20C ambient it reaches up to the temp limit of 84C while running at 80-90% fan speed (LOUD) According to the place where i bought it they got 72C and said you barely heard the card. What could cause this? I have tried different PCIe slots and a different PCIe powercable and connector on my Corsair RM850. My temps and fan speed were monitored using GPU Tweak 2 and HWMonitor. I need help ASAP. Thanks in advance Edit: Im on air, havent gotten my watercooling stuff yet FIXED: The cards fucking cooler isn't screwed in properly... Putting a little pressure on the cooler towards the pcb drops temps and fan speed dow to the right levels

So I've been noticing over the last several months that my CPU temps have risen a bit. Previously I was using a H105. After a huge fiasco with swapping cases, I thought my H105 was faulty, so I got a H100i V2 with new 120mm Maglev fans. Well anyways with my h105 previously in prime 95 small FFTs i got around 80C, with SP120mm fans spinning at 1100RPM at most. But with my new H100i V2 with MagLev fans spinning at over 1500RPM, (same case and case fans too BTW), my temps are well above the 90C mark. Thermal paste I'm quite sure is spot on. It's the stock thermal paste right on the H100i V2, and I already know how to replace these AIOs as I changed out an H105 over 4 times last week. Specs: 4690K @ 4.5ghz 1.250v H100i V2 120mm maglev fans @ 1700RPM (when maxing out on synthetic.

I've had my H100i since late 2015 with my old Haswell-E processor. But recently i switched to a Ryzen 1700 and i've been trying to overclock it. It's currently at 3.7GHz 1.375v .Everytime I run a stresstest or even cinebench, it rises to over 100°C even if i have the pump and fans running at full speed. My idle temp is 45-60°C. Is it the cooler? Thanks in advance for the answers!

Hi there! Recently I have just build my first personal custom pc rig! (I helped a friend build his before) However, I am experiencing rather high temps on my i7 6700k. this custom pc right actually happens to be a hackintosh which is running great, but when running the "yes" command in the terminal to stress test the cpu, I was getting a rather high 77 degrees at load. My i7 is currently at 4.5ghz completely stable, and is cooled my the coolermaster 240m aio liquid cooler. Why are my temps so high? Could the "yes" command be overly, and unrealistically taxing on my cpu? I'm seeing people are getting temps in about the 60's with this setup, so even if the yes command was a bit unrealistic, my real temps wouldn't be quite that cool right? I currently have the top noctua as intake, and the rad as exhaust in the front. I am getting 2 more 80mm noctua fans for the back as intake in a few days. Idk if that will be a significant improvement though. Feel free to ask any other questions about my setup, and I look forward to your help!

Hi, I hope someone can help me with this issue. Today I finally got my GTX 1070ti sent in the mail, and I installed it into my computer. I recently built this computer, and I was only waiting on my graphics card to come in. In the mean time, I was using someone's GTX 1060. During my use of my computer with the GTX 1060 I typically never saw temps on my CPU going above 65 Celsius. Since I installed my new graphics card the temps on my CPU have been idling at around 50 Celsius while my graphics card stays very cool at around 60 Celsius under load. I played a competitive game on CS:GO and my temps were around the high 60s and would peek at 75 Celsius. This was while only having the computer on for about 20 minutes and it was a very short game. It also feels as though while playing that my CPU is thermal throttling. This does not seem normal to me, and I was wondering if anyone had a possible solution or suggestion. Thanks!

Hi! First of all: this is my first topic in this forum, so tell me if I did anything wrong and should change something. So I got this Problem: I think my temps are too high for a 360 Radiator. I'll show you my specs here: Processor: Ryzen 5 2600x @4,2 Ghz Motherboard: MSI X470 GAMING PRO RAM: 16GB Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4-3000 DIMM CL15 Dual Kit Graphics-Card: 8GB Asus Radeon RX Vega 64 ROG Strix PSU: 750 Watt be quiet! Straight Power 11 Cooling: 3 x BeQuiet Silent Wings 3 360 AIO Radiator BeQuiet SILENT LOOP 360MM All of this Hardware is not older than one year. Now to the problem-description: I ran CPU-Z, MSI Kombustor and AIDA64 Stability test (only Stress CPU & Stress FPU checked). My CPU temp came to an average temp of 78,4°C after a 20 minuites long run. As I saw a post here on the forum with the Ryzen 5 2600x at an comparable clock with max temps of 54°C. It was not mentioned what cooler he used but for me in personal I think a 360 Radiator should perform a lot better than 78,4°C in comparison to this dudes hours-long stress test with a maximum of 54°C! Can you guys tell me if I am wrong or if I should ask BeQuiet to check the AIO? (It already was there for reparation as the pump made noises and they said it would be caused by too little water in it.) I know this guy might has an custom water cooling system that performs a lot better than my AIO but I thought that I could get close to custom watercooling with such a great brand. I hope for your help and advice. Thanks in advance! Kind Regards Sailing ps: I attached a screenshot of AIDA64 after 30 mins stresstesting and I want to apologize for my bad english it is late in the night at my place ^^

I recently bought a "Lenovo Legion C730" gaming cube that consists of an RTX 2070 gpu and i7 9700k cpu. And I was wondering if having 86c temps on 95-100 gpu work load is safe in a gaming cube such as the c730? I've read people saying that 85-86c is normal but not ideal for such a gpu. I want some suggestions if I should return this product and just build a pc from scratch or of someone can verify that this is safe? I've read reviews saying that the c730 is actually a good product, but also noticed that most of these reviews are for the mid-range gpus such as the GTX 1060 or lower. I also noticed that their seems to be a slight burn smell(or maybe just my imagination)but not sure if this is just normal or something to worry about in a new product? Suggestions would be appreciated!

My graphics card (rx580) runs very hot, and I just found out that all of the exhaust from the fans blows directly into the side panel which increases the temp really fast. I don’t want to keep the panel off but it drops my temps by 20C instantly when I remove it.

Hello, so I'm having a serious issue with my computer. I was on Windows 7 and I decided to finally upgrade to Windows 10. The installation went fine and all but once I was able to login I got a random blue screen and I wasn't able to get the error code to look up the stop error. Then my fans for my corsair H100iv2 started to spin up fast. once my computer restarted I looked into the bios and it was really high in temps, like it started at 60c or 70c then it started to rise up to high 80s and hitting 90C. I feel like my pump died but I would like to see what all of you who are reading this have to say. If any of you need more information I will gladly explain to all of you. Thank you.

Hello I have been having issues with my i9-9900k with high idle temps. System being idle the CPU idles at 38c-55c with the Corsair H115i Platinum RGB 280mm which I understand is a very good cooler. So what I don't understand is why its doing this. Its does the same thing no matter if I have it overclocked or not. If anyone could help that would be greatly appreciated. Been all over google for weeks now about this and nothing. Gonna be setting it to stock settings for now. But would really like to Overclock this very expensive CPU. On another note I am also very concerned about my Motherboard temps not sure if they are the VRM's or not but according to CPUID HWMonitor the motherboard temps idle at TMPIN0 - 38c TMPIN1 - 50c TMPIN2 - 32c TMPIN3 - 38c TMPIN4 - 57c System specs are CPU - Intel i9-9900K GPU - Gigabyte - GeForce GTX 1080 Ti 11 GB AORUS Xtreme Edition RAM - 32GB DDR4 GSKILL 3200 CPU COOLING - Corsair H115i Platinum MOTHERBOARD - Gigabyte AORUS Z370 Gaming 7 STORAGE - 500GB SAMSUNG 970 EVO SSD, 1TB SAMSUNG 860 EVO SSD PSU - Corsair CX750M OS - Windows 10 Pro Any Help at all would be greatly appreciated again!

Hey all, For some time now I've been dealing with increasingly bad temps on my main system. About a three months ago I finally decided to remove my H110i and gave it a full-on cleaning through the rad and the fans with a fresh coat of thermal paste on my CPU. Things were fine until about last month where I noticed the temps got ridiculously high again reaching 100c when rendering. I then proceeded to clean the H110i again several times again whilst also re-applying the thermal compound of course. CPU: i7-6700K Water cooler: Corsair H110i GTX v1 Old idle temps: < 30c Current idle temps: > 40c Under load the temperature spikes up really fast, like in 3 seconds from idle temps to 100c. The moment I turn off the load it also drops really quickly back to idle temps. I've been really considering just ripping of my H110i and caving in to a new cooler but I wanna make sure I'm not just doing something real stupid before making that purchase decision. So here are a few things I think might have been the cause of the problem.. 1. I've been using the same tube of thermal paste for every application (Mastergel Pro) 2. I just suck at applying thermal compound even though I've watched through many videos to do the "P" method and not over/under coat my CPU 3. My H110i is actually out of commision Some help would really be appreciated, thanks! EDIT: I realised better late than never to help anyone who does come across this forum post in the future. I solved it. tl;dr Dead pump. Solution? RMA it. I had the cooler RMA'd with no response from my local vendor for months so I had no idea what was wrong with the cooler during that time. Anyways, this video from Bitwit demonstrates the exact problem I had so if your cooler happens to act the same way as mine and his.. Dead pump. Thanks to all who helped me out through this!

My system:Motherboard: Asus TUF x570 plus with Wi Fi CPU: Ryzen 3700X CPU Cooler: Dark Rock Pro 4GPU: 2070 Super Zotac AMD! Extreme Fans: 2x intake Noctua 140mm redux 1500 RPM PWM fans, 1x exhaust at the back 120mm Fractal Design, 1x exhaust at the top 120mm Fractal Design (the ones that come with the case) I did NOT overclock my GPU or CPU My temps: Ambient temp: 21-22 C CPU idle: ca. 45 C CPU under load: 67-70 C (Furmark CPU Burner) GPU under load: 80 C (Furmark) While gaming the temps are a few degrees lower than under full load I believe my temps are a bit too high considering what case / fans and CPU cooler I have. I believe I messed up when applying the thermal paste and I didn't adjust any fan speeds. I would like somebody advise me how to optimize my airflow to reduce the temps. 1. I bought Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut today and I will apply it on the weekend. Should I use the spread method advised by team grizzly or some other? 2. One of the exhaust fans is connected to AIO port on the motherboard, is this a problem or should I connect both exhaust fans to one connector and connect both fans to one PWM port on the mobo? 3. Probably the most important question: How should I adjust the fan speeds in BIOS? Is there an ideal fan curve I should be aiming for? SpeedFan doesn't show case fans, only GPU and CPU so I guess I have to use BIOS 4. Should I change any settings for the CPU or GPU? Thanks!

Hello. I just built my PC. Everything works fine, EXCEPT... My CPU temps are insanely high! 55-65°C when *IDLE*, and when I ran prime95 stress test temps jumped to insane 95°C in the first couple seconds! I immediately ended the stress test. Why could this be happening?? Also to note, CPU is constantly on 4GHz (didn't overclock it at all). Also voltage is acting funny. It fluctuates very much. So, my PC is in the Fractal Design Define Mini C TG.I have the following problem: I can't put my sidepanel back on, because I don't have enough air flowing under the VGA. GPU runs around 76-85℃ when under load, fans spin up, and they get loud with the glass panel on. Without the sidepanel they are barely audible under load. My front panel intake is also restricted, because of dust filtration and noise insulation. I quickly janked image of the situation.I think the problem lies in the fans... (Feel free to correct me) The ones I have now are pretty crappy and loud. They suck, because the don't suck, if you now what I mean.Could you please suggest some 140mm black fans, which would suit this build?Thank you for your suggestions, in advance.

Hello everyone, i have a problem with my new pc. I have a 9900KS oc'ed to 5.2GHz with a vid of 1.27volts (HWinfo) and stressing it with Asus realbench 2.43 the temps hit about 91°C witch is very high when considering i'm running the Alphacool Eisbar 420mm with the 280mm expansion rad. I have tried reaplying the thermal past witch didn't help, but gave me a chance to look at how it covered the ihs and it was perfect as expexted because manual spread. Thermalpast used was the Thermalgrizzly Kryonaut. I realy appreciate any help. Thanks! Hi guys, I have Acer Predator Helios 300, bought 2 years back. Recently it has started to show very high temps for both CPU & GPU. CPU reaches at 96C & GPU at 92C while playing rocket league & CSGO, even though i keep the fan speeds at max. I tried to check whether the thermal paste is ok or not but couldn't get 2 of the screws from the heat pipes(their heads wore off) so just cleaned the fans & tried again but the temps still reach 90C tried keeping the laptop tilted so it can take up more air but no difference. Any suggestions?

Hi hero’s of the LTT forum! I just finished build my first PC in a long time. however, when I opened the UEFI I noticed CPU temperatures between 48-52C. this seems a bit high to me since I am using a pretty good AIO. Is this normal or am I doing something wrong? I am too scared to install Windows with these temps. these are most the components I am using: Ryzen 9 3900X NZXT Kraken x62 Asrock X570 Taichi (with idle SB temps: 67) MSI 2070 Super gaming x trio corsair crystal 570x case If there’s someone who can help me that would mean a lot to me! Thanks!:)

I have an ASUS GL502VM with an i7-6700hq and a gtx 1060. But now whenever i put the cpu under load, it reaches immediately up to 100 degrees Celcius. I've got the cooler cleaned up, changed the thermal paste, ensured the cooler makes proper contact with the cpu and still no affect. The gpu still stays at mid 80 degrees under prolonged load so not much issue there. The attached photo shoes thermal behavior of the cpu. Please HELP!!!

Hi, Since I use a mid tower Silencio 550 I know my PC gets very hot with just being idle. Some days ago I used HWMONITOR to see if temps are still as high as some time ago (I had removed the foam and stop playing on that PC) just to get this information: (before that snapshop I didnt play nor use it for heavy tasks) Whar are those TMPIN6, TMPIN8 and mainboard temps? What are the normal temperatures for those items?
