I am noticing something. No one buys the GTX 1650 G5/G6. It’s only like $100-200 above MSRP. The 1650 Super is like $200-300 above MSRP. Sometimes, an MSI one is sometimes $325. Even before the GPU blow-up, everyone chooses the 1650 Super. Is the regular 1650 not good enough? Is it a bad value card? I am very confused why no one buys it.

I have problems with my GPU. Won't boot. Please help.

Hello. I have the exact same problem as this guy I know it is an old topic, but this exact problem has been giving me a hard time for the past 4 days. I tried everything that I know, but nothing seems to be working. Or is my GPU dead? -
Hey! I built my PC a couple of months ago. Specs are: MB: ASUS B550M-PLUS (WI-FI) CPU:AMD RYZEN 5600G WITH RADEON GRAPHICS RAM: 16GB DDR4-3600 SSD: CRUCIAL FORCE MP510 256GB I had always intended to fit a discrete GPU at some point, and I purchased a used 980Ti which didn't work. I want to buy a brand new GPU. I don't mind the OEM, as long as it: a) Runs MSFS2020 @ 1080p Ultra 30+fps, Autodesk Inventor, and Davinci Resolve pretty good, b) looks sleek, not flashy and 'gamer-y', and c) doesn't cost more than £450 GBP Also, if ASUS was the OEM, it would be preferred, but as I say, not mandatory. I understand that these are tough times, but please give me some suggestions. I've spent hours on this, and all I want is a good PC. Many, many thanks, Cessna.

GTX cards are enough to run games for a average player. We don't need RT cores for video editing and normal gaming other than playing Minecraft and rendering 3d models with perfect lighting. It will be good If Nvidia bring back the lineup because RTX cards need extra silicon and in the middle of a silicon shortage that's a good thing. It will be a good thing for gamers. It still has acceptable gaming performance.

Hey everyone! I just bought this pc, it was assembled when I got it and it was working. Until it was shipped.. The problem is: Vents spin up to 100%, then stay at idle. RGB starts, then cuts off. It gives "no signal". Buut if I wait for a minute it the RGB starts to glow in green and gives blackscreen. The PC works with another GPU seamlessly. I've tried it in another pc, with another psu. I've tried CMOS reset. The only thing I've noticed was this: Please, tell me what can I do or if it can be fixed..

I live in Egypt and around a month and a half ago i got a 1660 super zotac AMP which apparently has 3 years warranty. My gpu recently started doing some weird noises on fan levels from 53 to 57% i don't know what they are. They arent clicking or grinding they sound like they are vibrating if that makes sense. So i tried to contact warranty (which isnt zotac in Egypt but instead a place called Amir) and nope..no answer..not on my texts , called them twice and no one picked up. So i kinda just felt angry and let it be like that..question is , is it even worth the RMA? Its not affecting my performance or temps or anything at all..and the sound is there if you put your ear to the case or on top but if you're just in gaming mode you won't hear it..

I just bought a new gtx 1660 super zotac amp a month ago and when i turn on or off my pc the gpu sounds like it squeezes or pulls on something..my gpu fans run on 32 speed on idle permanently and slowly increase while playing games. Sometimes i hear rattles (high pitched) and sometimes i dont..so i tried to put my gpu fan speed on 78 from 32 to give it a headstart to see if it rattles and it doesn't. I tried increasingly it by 5 digits every time as well and nope...doesnt rattle.. Can coil whine sound like rattling or squeezing or pulling on a string? I don't know what to do and the whole thing makes me extremely frustrated. (Havent enjoyed my pc since 6 months ago due to old gpu issues and psu issues..)
-
Does the fan keep rattling? Or does it stop after like 2 seconds? I was on my pc earlier and i bought a rand new psu. And i heard noise while loading into a fortnite game. Headphones were right beside the case so i thought it was rattling. So i searched FN bus noises and THE BUS ITS SELF is rattling. And was very similar to what i heard. Main question is , if a fan rattles does it continue to do so? Or can it happen , stop after 2 seconds and never happen again? Or was it even propably the game not my psu?

What is the difference between GTX 1660 and GTX 1660 Ti and GTX 1660 super? Why there is huge price difference even they look similar? Am I missing something?

THE VIDEO I HAVE ATTATCHED HAS FLICKERING. EPILEPSY WARNING! Hi, I have been having very strange issues with my gpu. It is used and my setup is not the most common. It is running in a virtual machine with the host being proxmox and the virtual machine being arch linux I have 8 core deticated to it with 16gb of ram as well. My setup is a remote gaming setup where i use moonlight game stream with sunshine to allow me to play games anywhere. Now the screen is a virtual screen using Xorg tricks to make the driver think it is connected to a screen but I do not think this could be the issue The gpu utilisation in unigine superposition jumps from 70 to 100% constantly and causes the fps to jump from 20 to 40 in the extreme 1080p test. The final score is around ~ 3850 which is much lower then the usual a gtx 1080ti can get. Playing minecraft with shaders also feel choppy but without the insane flickering i get with the unigine benchmarks. I have attatched my dmesg which seems to have some errors but I cannot tell what they are about. Posiibly the gpu but I do not know. I have attatched my xorg.conf and the edid i am using for my virtual display The gpu itself never gets above 68C when gaming for long periods so it cannot be throttling. The gpu is at 1936mhz and it stays there but the gpu utilisation is a bit haywire My nvidia drivers are the latest 470.74 I am running linux kernel 5.14.7 I am using Arch linux Any help would be appreciated gpu1.mp4

Hello friends I’m new here and I have a REALLY confusing hardware problem, so this is a gonna a bit long. tl;dr, I think my RX 470 is locked to Ryzen systems and will not work with Intel systems. Context: From the Philippines. I bought my girlfriend an RX 470 that she could use in her new build until GPU prices calm down. I found the card secondhand from a seller with many positive reviews, and he proved to me (with timestamps even) that the card was in good working order and could play games, could do anything really. All this to say that the seller seemed solid. My old setup: I received the card, it was old, had faded gold pins, but otherwise looked normal. I plugged it into my OLD system with an i5-4460, Asus B-85 Pro Gamer, 8 gb RAM, Windows 10, to test the card. The system would turn on, GPU lights on, fans spinning, but no display. Reseated the RAM and the card, still no display. It would show up as no signal on my monitor. I plugged the HDMI cable into my motherboard with the 470 still attached, and found that the GPU was not detected at all even when running off of my integrated graphics. AMD’s driver software that detects your GPU for driver updates wasn’t even finding it. My current setup: My current personal system has a Ryzen 7 5800X, Asus X570-F, 32 gb RAM, Windows 10, and a GTX 1080 FE. I swapped out the 1080 for the 470 to see if it would work, and it did! The card worked perfectly fine in my current system. I could play games and do anything. I thought it wasn’t working on my old setup because maybe the mobo was dying, so I decided to let it go and hope for the best until my girlfriend’s setup arrived. GF’s setup: A couple weeks later, my gf’s parts finally came together and we set up an i5-10400F, MSI B560M Pro-VDH Wifi, 16 gb RAM, Windows 10. Plugged the 470 into her setup and boom, no display, exact same problem as with my old setup. It would light up, fans would spin, but no display. I tried placing my GTX 1080 into her system and THAT worked. I went to Reddit to ask around and somebody suggested the possibility that the card may somehow be locked to Ryzen systems being that it failed to work in two Intel systems. I asked the seller what his system was, the one he had the 470 running in, and sure enough, he had a Ryzen 5 1600, B350M. This just furthered one Redditor’s theory that somehow it isn’t compatible with Intel systems. My original theory was that my X570-F could detect the card because being that it’s a higher-end mobo, it was more sensitive to even faded contacts? Although that makes no sense with the original seller’s mobo being an older, cheaper B350M. Currently: As of now, I have given my girlfriend my GTX 1080 to use for now until I can figure out what to do with her RX 470. The 470 works in my system so it’s currently plugged into my R7 5800X, X570 system. The temps are fine, even better than my 1080 FE’s temps. What I have tried: I’ve tried a lot of things to try and solve this so I can’t remember all, but here’s what I can recall right now: - Reseating RAM - Reseating GPU - Using HDMI, Display port, VGA, none worked - Updating drivers (could not because AMD software could not detect the RX 470) - DDU-ing NVIDIA drivers - Updating BIOS - Resetting BIOS to default - Removing CMOS battery and replacing it after 2-3 minutes, did it again for 5 minutes. - Cleaning the contacts with an eraser twice, with and without alcohol - Checking if integrated graphics were enabled (it wasn’t) - Checking if Resizable Bar Support was enabled (it wasn’t) - Enabling “Normal Setup” on msconfig instead of Selective Startup - Booting from Integrated Graphics on my old Intel system, entered device manager to check if the RX 470 was detected, but it wasn't I have considered having someone re-apply the gold pins, but I did my best to budget for this and I would rather find another way that doesn’t involve paying hahaha Thank you so much for any help you can provide! I will reply to you as soon as possible, I'm studying for an ophthalmology exam at the same time hahaha Edit: Pix of the RX 470 contacts: https://imgur.com/a/FNYZvq3

Hey guys I need help choosing a gpu upgrade, not buying it right now because of their crazy prices(but disregard that for now) I am looking for a new gpu upgrade for my system and I want the latest gpu I can have for my system without wasting any money but still getting the best performance possible. my current system is Asus z87-k (mobo) i7 4770k 4.0 ghz (cpu) Cooler master 240L V2 (cooler) 2x 4gb ram (1333mhz) 2x 4gb ram (1660mhz) Gtx 760 Hcg 620m 620w semi-modular(psu) 2x Intel s3500 246gb ssd It is in a full tower case so size is not an issue. Don’t really care if it is Amd or Nvidia. Thanks!

Hello everyone! I've been having a problem with a GTX 1080ti I bought, its second hand. It worked well for about a year but now it seems struggling. I've tried other GPUs in the system and they work. I've tried different PSUs, different PCIe slots, different builds, can't seem to pinpoint it. Originally, it had started to artifact so I replaced the thermal pads and replaced the rather dried up thermal paste. They all make contact where the previous pads were too. So I put it back in the system and it artifacts but only under heavy loads, max temp is around 71c. Decided to crank the fan speed to 100, and it barely artifacts when benchmarking (using Superposition). Where I'm at currently is, the PC preforms mostly OK during the benchmark, stays on about 5ish minutes and then I lose my display and the PC does not boot itself off. Any ideas on what I could do to fix it? Thanks

I'm looking for a you upgrade to my recent PC build. Specs Ryzen 3 3300x Rx 570 4gb Cx500 The rest don't really matter I'm looking for a gpu upgrade, yeah I know in this market gpu are insanely overpriced. But I'm either gonna buy a gtx 1070, 1070 ti, or 1080 and maybe a rtx card if I can get one under 500$. My budget is basically 500 with tax and shit not included. So which one is the best choice.

I am currently interested in changing my themral compund and thermal pads on my Gigabyte GTX 1080 Turbo OC. I looked all over YouTube but for the life of me I can't find any tear down of this video card. Is there anything I need to keep in mind while taking my video card apart? For removing the thermal compound I am planning using Noctua NA-CW1. For Thermal compound I am going use Noctua NT-H1. Looking for recommendations on thermal pads. Thanks for help. Forgive the weird formatting typed this post on mobile.

Hi! I'm in a miserable state atm where I have a GTX 650 in my pc the whole time ever since 2013, and since I'm latvian that lives in the middle of a nowhere, instead of buying a new pc, my only option is to dig a hole because of the graphics card price overinflation. So is a GTX 1650 enough for my build so I can play games like BeamNG and ETS2 on high at >60fps on a 1080p screen. If anything, I would be happy about an a cheaper alternative that has the same or better performance. My specs: CPU: Intel Core i5 3350P 3.10 GHz | 4 cores 4 threads GPU: Nvidia GTX 650 1GB (made by msi) MB: MSI B75MA-E33 (firmware 1.7) RAM: 8GB Dual Channel DDR3-1600 OS: Windows 10 & Kubuntu 21.04 Stock CPU cooler

Hello. I want to buy thermal pads for my GPU, because I GPU temperature is getting near 90 C. I cannot get reliable information on what size of thermal pads I need for this. I can disassemble it and measure them, but don't want to, until I have thermal paste and thermal pads. Does anyone can help me here?

Hi, my computer once just hanged itself while working, no bsod, just hanged, i restarted my pc and cpu light blinked on gigabyte mobo's ez debug lights and then turned off after 0.5secs. and then nothing happened. no lights no boot no post. i removed my gpu and the computer booted on intel hd graphics. i examined the gpu and saw a burnt chip. idk what it is but i think its mosfet. the exact one i have marked. anyway i went to a repair shop and he quoted me 120$ for repair. i couldnt possibly give him 120$ for a chip replacement on a gpu that i bought for 180$. i took the gpu to one of my friend's and he told me it is just a switch and if you remove it might turn off one of your display output port(which i doubted) and he used heatgun and did a thrifty job on removing the chip. i plugged the gpu and it working fine. did a stress test and it is working fine. i want to ask what are the drawbacks of running gpu as it is without repairing it because i barely have money to repair and cannot afford a new one.. any heads up will be appreciated! <3

Hello, so recently I got a GTX 1080ti from EVGA, and when I see the memory clock in load, it gets up to 5000mhz. And when I research about the stock settings and it says it's 1376mhz. So the question is: Is this normal? and if it isn't, How can I change it? Because the boost clock modifyer is in 0. Thx for your time
