I'm wondering if it would be worth the wait to get the 780 Ti, based solely on performance. I intend to game on a 1440p monitor and I would prefer to go with a single GPU rather than SLI. I'm using a AX760i as my PSU and SLIing 770s cuts the power requirement uncomfortably close. It is also a mATX build so the single GPU is preferred. Even though the release date is said to be middle of November, I will not be getting the reference card, I would prefer to get one with a non-reference cooler such as the Asus Direct CU II coolers. I would also prefer to stay with Nvidia (always been a fan of green team) even though I understand the advantages of the R9 290x in both price and performance. I intend to play Battlefield 4 and I would love to build as soon as possible. I will wait if the 780Ti is THAT much better than the 780. Money is not an issue and I would be willing to pay the 780's price now. What do you guys think? Will the GTX 780 Ti perform so significantly better that it will be worth waiting for, or should I just pick up the 780 and enjoy Battlefield 4 in it's entirety of 1440p goodness?

I have budget build and i am using giagabyte gaming 7 motherboard but i am worried that will I be able to gtx 780 Ti with it and overclock it upto 1200mhz? My CPU is Intel core i7 4790K and corsair vangeance pro 8GB at 2400mhz.

I'm just starting out building my new PC and i just wanted to get a couple opinions before i buy my graphics card(s). I want to get really high FPS on games like Battlefield 4 and Watch Dogs so I was debating on whether to get an EVGA GTX 780 Ti 3GB Dual Classified ACX GPU or to get 2 Gigabyte GeForce 4GB GTX 770 GPUs. I dont plan on using a 4K monitor any time soon or multiple displays. If you guys could, look at my PC build and tell me what you guys think about it. So, i'm facing this weird problem since i bought this new rig (1 month ago), were when i play some games (crysis 2, MW2 and Serious Sam 3) on ultra, my screen turns black, all the fans automatically set themselves to max speed and i have to restart it.I am able to play crysis 3, ACBF, Arma 3, Watch Dogs on ultra 60+ fps no issues. My specs are: Sabertooth z87 I7 4770k GTX 780 Ti (asus) Kingston HyperX Genesis 1866mhz (2x8gb) Seasonic 850watt 80+ gold x-series Cooler Master Eisberg 240L Prestige cpu cooler Windows 8.1 64bit All latest drivers are installed.

Greetings. I need some help and advice on how to cool my first PC build in a long while. (The last one I built was an Intel Celeron 450MHz). Specs: Case: NZXT H440 Black/Red CPU: Intel Core i7 4790k RAM: Corsair Dominator Platinum 1600MHZ 2x8GB CL7 PSU: EVGA SuperNOVA 1000W P2 GPU: Asus GeForce GTX 780 Ti DC2OC (x2) Mobo: ASUS Maximus VII Formula -waiting for release- SSD: Samsung 850 Pro 256GB -pre-ordered- CPU Cooler: Corsair H100i (pull config) This rig will not be OC'd in anyway. (Not until I can invest in a water-cooling setup) I've attached an image of what I think I'll be doing. Each red arrow is a fan. I realize the H440 isn't the greatest case for air-cooling, but any help/suggestion is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

So here is a bit of a long one, so let's see who has the freshest ideas on this issue. Internals i7 4770K OC'd @ 4.4GHz -- All cores unparked Corsair Dominator Pro 16GB @ 2400Mhz MSI Z87 GD65 Motherboard Cooler Master SilentPro Gold 1000w PSU Samsung 500GB SSD Externals Yamakazi 30in IPS 2560x1600 monitor ASUS 27in 1080p monitor Software Windows 7 Pro 64 bit Issue I got both my GTX 780 Ti cards back in late March, and I bought my Yamakazi 30in IPS 2560x1600 monitor back in April. Since then it's been a wonderful high rest monitor, had 0 issues with it. Then something happened... One morning, probably a week after I moved to a new place (2 weeks ago) I went to turn on my PC and noticed the main monitor (Yamakasi) had power, but no image came on, while my other monitor had an image. I checked the screen configuration and the card only detected 1 monitor, the Yamakasi was not seen at all. I unplugged it and plugged it back but on the DVI port the ASUS monitor was and it still didn't come up. I plugged the working ASUS monitor to the old Yamakasi plug on the card and it came on. I figured maybe the monitor died. Upset, I reached out to the company that sold it to me and told them what had happened. While I waited to hear back from them, the Yamakasi sat idle, unplugged still on its monitor stand. Suddenly, my ASUS monitor had the same problem. It stopped being detected on any port. Then I wondered...could it be the graphics card? I powered off my PC, took out both of my GTX 780 Ti cards (which were in SLI) and looked at them. I then put them back into the PC, but now the top card went on the bottom, and the bottom went on top. I plugged my ASUS monitor and it came back up. I figured maybe the top card was going bad so I'd use the bottom card as the main card until I would consider RMAing it (both cards were yet again in SLI, just reverse from their original configuration). Then, out of curiosity, I plugged the Yamakasi monitor back and it worked too. Confused, I plugged both monitors back to how they once were and they worked. I figured that perhaps in my move, the cards may have gotten unseated or something happened to make this ordeal occur--I guess I was being hopeful. Then today happened. I went to turn on my PC as I usually do in the mornings and yet again the Yamakasi monitor did not show an image but had power. I unplugged it and plugged the ASUS monitor to its plug and it had an image still. I plugged the Yamakasi to the ASUS plug, and still no image. This again, I though, what to do? I popped open my PC, took off both cards, plugged in only the bottom card (which when the 1st time it happened, was the top card), and plugged the Yamakasi and it turned on with image... Now here I am, I put the cards in the original configuration from 2 weeks ago (when the problem 1st started) and both my monitors work. I fear it will happen again, but I cannot determine if it's the cards or the monitor itself. The fact that the ASUS monitor had the same problem 2 weeks ago the day after the Yamakasi stopped working tells me that it may be the graphics card, but the fact that the Yamakasi will work again if I swap cards tells me nothing other than the monitor seems to be working, even though 10 minutes prior to the swap, it didn't. I am stumped and I don't want to RMA my card(s) unless I have to, but last thing I want is to receive a couple of refurbs from EVGA as replacements for cards that may not be the problem. At the same time, I don't want to go through the grueling process of RMAing my main 30in IPS Yamakasi (shipped from S. Korea) if the monitor is working fine but it's my cards--at which point I wouldn't even know which at this point. Any ideas would be appreciated. Also, before anyone asks or comments, here are some facts/info - 1000W is more than enough for 2 x 780 Ti Classifieds, and when this happens, the PC isn't even at load, it's literally just powering on. - The Yamakasi REQUIRES Dual Link DVI to work, so I cannot test it on just any desktop PC. - My overclock is and has been stabled from the day I built my system. - I tested both cards individually with the monitors before I put them back on as a pair in SLI.

my friend is buying a new PC and he planned to setup gtx 780 ti 2-way SLI but if he sets up two gtx 780's he saves about 450$ does the difference really worth the price? and he wants to run 3 monitors in 3D surround

Hello, I am relatively new PC gamer. I got hooked on Linus Tech Tips on YouTube sometime in September of last year and he convinced me to build my own gaming PC. I work in IT, so I get the jist on most computer topics and talk, but when it comes to high end gaming rigs and performance issues with certain hardware I am at a loss. Ok, so now the issue. I built my PC this February. I have been gaming happily, slightly, ever sense. What happens is, I will be playing a game and my GPU % usage will be at 99% and then drop to 0% usage and stutter for about .5 to 1 second and then pick right back up where it left off at. I should say the game doesn't actually stop, just what I can see on the screen. It will go from 120 FPS in Tomb Raider to 9 in a split second then pick right back up. My computer does this with every game from PayDay 2 to the Witcher 2 .I don't know if running at 99% is normal or not, but it has been that way sense the beginning. My CPU and RAM are not getting above 25% and 15% respectively even when doing some intensive gaming. I am up to date on all my driver. I check for new ones once every other month. I use Ge Force Experience for my video drivers and optimizing all my games. I don't have any malware or virus on my PC. This is a strictly gaming PC. I use Windows Defender every Sunday and do a full scan. No other processes are running in the back ground at the time when these drops happen. I should also say that nothing I have is overclocked in any manor. From the RAM being boosted, or the CPU being overclocked. Everything is factory default. I am going to post some screen shots of my rig from Ge Force and Windows so you can better understand what I have. Any help would be greatly and utterly valued. Thank you, Caleb,

ok, so i am looking into buying a pc, i am a newbie, and dont know too much of what i am doing. i have around $2500 to spend on a really high end pc. here is kind of what i have come up with after a bit of research. http://pcpartpicker.com/p/yxKxbv i was thinking of maybe changing the gpu to a 2 way sli msi gtx 780 lightining i will be using this pc for gaming (mostly battlefield 4, crisis 3, watch dogs and all demanding good graphics pc games) i want to run all the games at ultra with all max settings, i will also be doing some video editing and music production but for music production i was thinking of getting a macbook pro but im not sure yet. i will be overclocking my gpu and cpu. and need help also on finiding a good gaming monitor with good colour density, grey to grey 1-2ms response time, less than 10 ms imput lag, and higher than 1080p resolution. and i aslo need a good gaming headset oh and i already have 2 monitors 1080p but i want a third one 1440p and the graphic(s) card should be able to support 3 monitors or 2 im willing to give one up and use my ps4 on it
