A couple months ago I decided to build a PC. I now have all of the parts listed below, except for a GPU and a monitor. I would like any advice on what to change in my build for the future as I upgrade it, or any tips in general since I have learned more about building a PC after I had bought most of these parts. Also, I would like some advice on what kind of GPU might be good for this build, since I am currently trying to get a 3070 or a 3080/3080 ti. Also, a monitor I am currently looking at purchasing is a Asus VG248QG 24.0" 1920x1080 165 Hz Monitor. Thank you! CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3600 3.6 GHz 6-Core Processor CPU Cooler: Scythe Mugen 5 Rev. B 51.17 CFM CPU Cooler Motherboard: MSI MPG B550 GAMING EDGE WIFI ATX AM4 Motherboard Memory: Corsair Vengeance LPX 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3200 CL16 Memory Storage 1: Crucial MX500 1 TB 2.5" Solid State Drive Storage 2: Seagate Barracuda Compute 2 TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive Case: Corsair 275R Airflow ATX Mid Tower Case Power Supply: Corsair RM (2019) 650 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Supply

Right so I am absolutely shit when it comes to choosing monitors so I shall get others too!!!! Looking for something no higher than €125 on https://amazon.co.uk, something that would be good with a dual monitor setup, and the stand needs to be removable!

My computer parts list :) https://pcpartpicker.com/list/fc3PF8 I have been looking into building a powerful gaming computer for a few months now with all these new games coming out, but this is gonna be my first time building. Can anyone help me out and tell me any tips about building that I should probably know. I already know most of the basics but im obviously no pro at this stuff. I am currently having trouble figuring out if the power supply is going to be enough with the rtx3070, i7-9700k and peripherals (Im pretty sure its enough with room for a possible future upgrade I think). I also dont know about the case fans (6 fans on the ones I chose) and the headers on the motherboard how that works because I dont think there is enough, as well as what the pins mean. To be honest, any tips can really help me. Thank you for your time guys its much appreciated.

Hey everyone! I'm building my first ever gaming rig! My goals are to create a powerful, future proof, and overall long lasting rig. I've built pcs before but nothing that costed more than 100$ and its been about 8 years since the last time I was up to date on everything so I'm still trying to catch up with the new tech. I'm operating on a budget of hopefully under 2500$ and would like to complete the rig around mid august. Any comments, suggestions, or anything else you may have to say is welcome. Thank you! One of my main struggles is finding a motherboard with compatibility and performance. Also would the AMD Ryzen 7 3700X 3.6 GHz 8-Core Processor and the EVGA GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER 8 GB KO GAMING Video Card work well together? EDIT: The link has been updated I realized the list I had tweaked wasn't the one I posted sorry for any inconvenience Heres my list >>>>>> [PCPartPicker Part List](https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/list/XgxrFG)

Just asking but how was your experience in making your first pc? What was the hardest part and what was the easiest part? What were you most concerned about and did the end result come out as you expected? Was it easier or harder than you thought?

Hey there, I'm a university student (in the UK) and my current computer is letting me down a lot with running computational models and compiling code. Decided that I'm going to try building a computer instead of getting one off the shelf, I've looked at some components and the question is whether they'll be fit for purpose/good? Here's the list: CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3600 3.6 GHz 6-Core Processor CPU cooler: ARCTIC Alpine 64 GT 25.6 CFM CPU Cooler Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-AB350M-DS3H Micro ATX AM4 Motherboard Memory: G.Skill NT Series 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-2133 Memory Storage: Western Digital Green 240 GB M.2-2280 Solid State Drive Video Card: Gigabyte GeForce GT 1030 2 GB Low Profile Video Card Case: BitFenix Nova ATX Mid Tower Case Power Supply: EVGA 600 W 80+ Certified ATX Power Supply Currently budgeting around £600 Will be using a Windows 10 for students as the OS. Thanks in advance, Peter

So I’m a very competitive league of legends player. I do however play several other games like WoW, KOTOR, COD, Final fantasy, ect. I’ve been gaming on an Acer nitro 5 which is running an i5-7300hq, a 1050ti and 8gbs of ram at 2133mhz. I’ve been using this for about 2 years now and it’s time for an upgrade. I used to stream on my laptop but it can’t handle gaming while streaming any more as it causes the frames to severely drop on any game I play. (I hit like 120-150fps on LOL normally, but when streaming it drops to the 70s) so I’ve decided it’s time to build a desktop and reserve this for strictly on the go gaming. my parts list is as follows. Corsair iCUE 220T mid tower in black Gigabyte Z390 Auros Master Mobo Intel i9-9900k cpu Gigabyte 2080 super wind force oc edition gpu Corsair rm850x psu Asia horse cable extensions in white Corsair iCUE H150i rgb pro xt cooler Corsair vengeance rgb pro 32gb kit 3200mh blk Corsair LL120 rgb Pwm fans 3pk to replace the stock aio fans. Samsung 970 evo plus m.2 ssd 1tb for boot Seagate barraCuda 2tb hdd for pictures/steam library/music (might change to wd black) For Windows I’m just gonna get a key off eBay I went all steelseries for my peripherals. Arctis pro headset with game dac rival 600 mouse set at 3200dpi & 5000dpi Apex pro keyboard For a monitor I will be using Asus ROD strix XG258Q 240hz 1ms response time with G-sync hooked up using an ivanky dp cable. May get a second monitor in the future but not yet. For my streaming camera I will be using the logitech HD pro c920 webcam I mainly use stream labs obs when streaming and I don’t play my ps4 anymore so I don’t think a capture card is necessary. I do however have a large collection of old game systems but I’m just sure how that would work if I wanted to stream them being that they are so old. Hold the hate please I’m really just looking for advice or help. I have a 1 year old so I don’t go out much so pc gaming has been a large part of my everyday. I know it’s pricey but I don’t want to have to upgrade anything for at least the next 4 years if possible. Thank you for the help!!

Hey guys. I'm planning to build a new gaming pc for myself. This will be a proper build. With my budget of £1500 what would be a really good build. I haven't thought of the build precisely so I'm open to any other builds. This will be my first proper gaming pc. As my other pc i just bought it of amazon. This is the build I'm thinking of. I only ever had intel pc so thats my go to but I would be open to AMD. I used PC Specialist for this. Thinking of buying from there everything looks legit as far as I can tell. But, please don't hesitate to correct me. Good Morning/Day/Evening ? So I am in great need of an upgrade, not just some parts here and there but brand new, fresh. Here is why: Motherboard: https://im9.cz/sk/iR/importprodukt-orig/2bd/2bd6b4d1861980aa7c661197d2c06d75--mmf250x250.jpg ( I think it's discontinued MSI G41m-SP20??? ) CPU: Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 2.4GHz RAM: 2GB...something I think it says Hyundai on it somewhere @1333 I think, had 4GB but now after an hour or 2 of gaming it gives me the ol'BSOD ( memory malfunction ) GPU: MSI R7750-PMD2GD3 HDD: Random Samsung 250GB Mechanical PSU: Some Superchannel I got from a friend think it's 450-550,? So game that I have played on it includes @ 1050x1400 res are: The Witcher 3 (low-medium, some specs on high?4gb RAM) 40+ FSP, drops to about 30 when alot happens, or it gets hot League of Legends (High, 2GB RAM) Skyrim and some other games, never really had a problem with it but now the HDD sometimes just doesn't start up and windows freezes, RAM not working so now I need something new So my base (CPU) that I am looking to build everything else of is something like the Intel Core i5 8400 or Intel Kaby Lake Core-X i5-7640X could also go for the Intel i3 Coffee Lake, so now I would like the community to assist me with RAM, GPU, Mobo etc, Please not this is a BUDGET PC, no fancy RGB CPU coolers, just need the main components to start her up. (P.S sorry about long post)

To me SSD is optional but i thought if i stored my windows and my unity/blender/adobe ae work on it it would make things go faster. Looking forward to your suggestions

Hello, this is my first time using a forum of any kind, I hope I’m posting this correctly as it took me 20min to figure out how to post this. I have never built a computer of any kind, but in the past few months I’ve grasped some basic concepts. So I have created a new build that suits my needs (gaming and school work), and is also in a comfortable-ish price range. This is my build: https://www.pccasegear.com/sc/bhwFb As I said I’m very new to all this, so I’m wondering if the parts for this build is -compatible (Do all the parts work togther well, no bottle necking) -good for gaming (I have a Toshiba laptop that i use to play dota2 on low settings for 17 fps, so anything above this is good) -anything important missing (Do I need like a modem for the pc to connect to wifi?) Thankyou guys for your help (hopefully) p.s I am looking for a cheap curved monitor, if anyone knows any please tell me. (Price range around 200~400 aud)

So I’m trying to switch from Xbox one to pc and my parts came in today. Ive got all the parts installed and it won’t even power on no fans, just the ez debug led which flashes all lights for a split second, all connections are snug. My build is as follows Ryzen 1300x, GTX 1050ti gaming x, two sticks of 8gb ripjaws v ddr4 2800, msi b350m gaming pro, evga 500b, Samsung 250gb ssd, seagate barracuda 2tb hdd, and nzxt s340 I just took everything out of the motherboard except the cpu and cooler, put it on some cardboard, and put in the one stick of 8gb ddr4, the gpu, and then plugged the 8 pin cpu connector, 6 pin gpu connector and the power switch and it fired up with the ez debug led staying lit solid on boot so I put everything back in but I’m back at step one please help me I’m new at this and so close to just bringing it to a shop I hope this is detailed enough thanks in advance
