I have a ryzen cpu and I have tried to overclock it but my stock cooler is not good enough so I'm looking to upgrade it. Most of the companies don't ship to my country so I have to buy from chinese companies. I have shortlisted two cpu coolers https://www.gearbest.com/cpu-cooler/pp_009813217505.htm... and https://www.gearbest.com/cpu-cooler/pp_009204433448.htm.... Is it worth paying the extra for the water cooler and which one would be a good buy?

Decided to add a fan to my side panel but because I only have two fan headers on the mobo I used a y-splitter to connect the new fan and my pump cooling fan to the chassis fan header. Both fans get powered but the new fan isn't getting its speed reduced after adjusting power percentages in BIOS (to about 20% power). This is where I need help finding another way of reducing the speed of the fan because with it running at full speed it's just too damn loud and legitimately sounds like a lawn mower. Additional notes: Chassis header is 3 pin while CPU fan header is 4 pin (idk if this makes an impact but oh well); I can move the pump's connector to the chassis header if needed, running a Corsair H60 for CPU cooling, new fan is a CoolerMaster Sickle Flow (120 mm)

If you go in Pc Part Picker USD and look for an : ARCTIC Freezer 33 eSports ONE, the price (as I'm writing this) is 29,99USD$ But now if you look at the Pc Part Picker CAD and look for the same cooler : ARCTIC Freezer 33 eSports ONE, the price is now 88,10$ !!!!!!!!!!!!! Why ?!?!?! 29,99USD$ is equal to 38,77CAD$ !!!! About 2 weeks ago (so around 28/05/2018), it was like 40CAD$. If somebody knows why please tell me because I'm lost.

Hi yall, hope you're doing splendidly! Recently I've been looking further into my cpu's (8700k) cooling solution (air only) and have begun to fuss over the color and ram clearance. My current choices were the Dark Rock Pro 4 or the Cryorig R1 Ultimate. Since I will be using Dual channel (possibly quad channel as a future upgrade) Trident Z RGB RAM i want a cooler that will fully show the ram sticks. Along with The RAM I shall be using an Asus Maximus X Hero (wifi ac) Would anybody know of an air cooler that can cool an 8700k keeping it at 80c under heavy load that will fully show the ram sticks and is in a black/white/silver /RGB or all of the above color scheme? Oh, and one more thing, It needs to fit inside a 570x case. By chance would the dark rock pro 4 meet the specs i listed above? It's a tough task but i know yall will find something . Thanks for the support! Regards, Alexander

I'm going to upgrade my moms air cooler from the Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO she has now cooling her i5-4460. I'm going for best air cooling performance but at the same time being as quiet as possible. Which one of these 2 coolers would cool the best while staying the quietest? I don't want to put a liquid cooler on it because I don't want to worry about leaks or the pump dying on her. Cooler Master uses vapor chambers so I thought it would cool better but its hard to find videos of the Dark Rock 3 or 4 being compared to the air Maker 8.

Hey I am new to the world of Pc's and would for the past 3 weeks now have been looking into overclocking. I have semi-ish figured out how to overclock my GPU ( MSI GTX 1060) i am currently sitting at A core clock of +140 and and a memory clock of +500. With that being said i would like to overclock my CPU other sites are saying the Cryorig H7 can support overclocks and others sites are saying Cryorig H7 does have good thermals for OC. Honestly i just would like some Straightforward facts and hopefully someone could help me out

Hi Everyone! I really need your ideas and suggestions here. I'm currently limited to vertical heatsink alignment of Hyper 212 Led Turbo for my Ryzen 5 1600 (oc 3.825 @1.388v). On my idea#1, it is my current set up, where my GPU is currently OC and with that set up, the hot air from GPU is absorbing by the hyper212 and applying it to the heatsink. Since my chip is OCd, it also heats up the heatsink and being blown upwards of the case. Temps on my CPU during idle is around 38c, but jumps up to 58-61c + during gaming or load. I know that temps is still reasonably stable, but to think that my aircooler can still lower temps of CPU, i'm starting to think on other fan orientations. I haven't done this yet, but on Idea#2 i will switch the blow path of hyper212 below the GPU, and push all hot air down to the case. This might cool off my CPU during load but the GPU will be heated up in exchange. PSU and 1 exhaust fan will blow out the hot air, but that might be a bad idea because i have too many intake than exhaust. It might also make me uncomfortable because my mouse is close to the exhaust. my last option, idea#3, will include a metal work. I might be able to pull this off with just some grinding and welding. First, i will create a new bracket for AM4, that will allow my CPU cooler to be oriented vertically, which will blow the hot air at the back of my case. creating a non-corrosive bracket seems to be a easy job since i just need to measure the lenght of the screwholes on my motherboard, then insert the bolts that intel processor use and use the homemade bracket. my problem is, i'm not sure it this will work or not since i haven't see anyone done this and post it online. but i will give it a try. The metal that i will be using is an aluminum bar that i found on our storage. It was not used before and it does not have any rust build up on it. Let me know which idea is best, or any suggestions before i proceed to warm up my grinders and drills.

I bought a new CPU cooler, the cooler master hyper 212 LED, and am checking temperature across multiple pieces of software and I'm getting a ridiculous range from almost 5-70 degrees. Which is right or the most accurate and why is their such a range? I have a A8-7650K

Looking for a new air cooler for my newly acquired R9 290 because I can't stick it somewhere I can't hear it sadly. It's worse than I thought, need to keep it maxed out to have it under 80C too and that's really really loud. Had good experience with Accelero before but I'd like to hear some other options too. Only air coolers. Thanks for any suggestions!

Hi everyone! I've just upgraded to Ryzen 7 1800x from an i7 4790k + CM Hyper 412s (212 evo's cousin) as I need more horsepower for encoding. I bought a ARCTIC Freezer 13 CO for £25 which according to some research did a decent job with Ryzen 7 at stock clocks.. Much to my surprise (or should I be surprised) this cheapo Air cooler struggles to keep temps under control. Temperature tests were being checked through MSI afterburner and the Ryzen master utility (that people were saying doesn't get affected by the +20*c offset, even though that seems to no longer be the case) Running Prime 95 for 20 minutes had 7 threads fail with the first 2 failing after only 5 minutes. It seems when the CPU can't stay under 75*c it drops a core to reduce temps. While rendering in Sony Vegas, all cores remain active but the temps sit at 74-74.5 which is dangerously close to where they seem to stop working. In conclusion, so much for this "200W" air cooler... Can't even cool 95W cpu at stock clocks. I'm looking for advice on a different cooler to use that will control the 1800x, perhaps someone here has experience. For compatability, I'm running a SilverStone SST-TJ08B-E - Temjin (https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B005D9027E/) with Corsair LPX ram. Sadly it doesn't fit a 240mm radiator, only 120mm or pretty much any large air cooler. I have the HDD cage removed so horizontal space is not a problem. I was thinking of something like Cooler Master MasterLiquid 120 (£53) or ARCTIC Liquid Freezer 120 (£60) or one of the larger air coolers like Be Quiet Dark Rock 3 (£60). But I'm not sure whether a 120mm AIO is worth it at this price or whether I should get a beefy Air cooler. Any advice from experienced users is very welcome!

Hey there fellow Tech-Tippers! I recently bought a used GTX 780 with an Arctic Accelero Twin Turbo cooler on it. When I unmounted the cooler and the plate that is mounted on the PCB, which obviously cools the VRAM and voltage regulators and stuff, I discovered that some of the paint on the PCB-Plate appears to be a bit burned, it has a brownish hue. However, when the 780 is under full load it barely reaches temperatures of over 53 degrees Celsius (20 deg C ambient). Since there are no fins on the plate that cools the PCB, I wonder whether or not the VRAM and voltage regulators get enough cooling. Obviously 53 degrees Celsius on the GPU would leave me hella space for overclocking, but this would also mean extra heat that has to be taken from the rest of the PCB, wouldn't it? My question now is, since there are no fins on the PCB heatsink, is it safe to overclock the GPU (and/ or the VRAM), or may it damage the PCB components?

Hey guys, I have chosen a ryzen 5 1400 cpu as the cpu for my first gaming pc, and as i have a windowed case ( nzxt s340 white ) I want to pimp my build with an aftermarket cooler. The problem is: In my country most sellers try to scam you by telling you that what they have is what you are looking for, in a fear of buying a non-am4 compatible cooler i want to know from you guys, What do you recommend me? I want an out-of-the-box compatible cooler

I was trying to upgrade or revamp my old pc which has a AMD FX-6300. I was thinking to over clock it and I ended up with two coolers which I can buy to keep the rig cool. Deepcool Frostwin V2 CM Hyper 212 Turbo (Dual fan & red light) Now Frostwin is like 5$ more than 212 and it looks dumb. Which should I buy? I want to OC my cpu over 4 ghz..

i want to get a new CPU cooler for the LAN PC and i have around $40 to spend on it, what are the best air coolers out there for around that price? i want to overclock my Q6600 to shits basically only thing is it cant be much wider then a stock intel cooler(basically what i have on there) because then it will hit the PSU and then it wont fit on thats my foult and something i didnt think of when building the LAN PC but that cant really be moved now. might consider an AIO because there is almost no space for something big and good but i dont want to have to because they are expensive... anyway if anyone knows of something that will fit that would be awesome. also go take a look at the ASUS P5N-E SLI because thats the motherboard im using, it has a huge heatsink on it and then the PSU is right above the CPU socket... thanks for any replies and any help

Hi, i have a custom made PC specs: 1.5 years old i7 4790k with a stock cooler. gtx 970 gigabyte g1 z97- pro gamer 16gb ram 1866 mghz w10 pro Lately while gaming i started getting BSOD very frequent, i tested all my hardware and is something like this: GPU: max 80% *C no crashes RAM: no crashes CPU: 100% *C on more then 80% load. The BSOD Check code is : 0x00000124 From what i read is a CPU overheating issue http://imgur.com/a/PIK80 Im not running any overclocks and my cpu dosen't crash while running PRIME95. I will let it run for a couple of hours to see. I only get crashes while playing Ark:Survival evolved/other games and doing something else on my 2nd monitor. (youtube/movie) Should i be trying to make any changes or just swap the stock cooler. What Air/Liquid cooler you recommend, im not planning to overclock - I am thinking of 212 hyper evo. or a noctua on a same price range or cheaper.

Hey! I'm getting this build: http://pcpartpicker.com/list/kg2QZ8 and do not know what air cooler to get. Aesthetics matter to me so I don't want one of the Noctua fans. Ideally I would spend around $80 but could spend a little more. I am looking at the Cryorig R1 Ultimate but am not sure if I should go for it. Also I'm not sure if PcPartPicker checks if coolers will overlap with ram so if you could help by making sure the recommendation that you are making fits that would be very helpful (or if you told me how to check or that PcPartPicker does a check for that). Thanks!
