Welcome Fellow tech enthusiast's, a good friend of mine doesn't know anything about computers. So he asked me to put together a part list for a Gaming PC With a decent gaming mice and keyboard he has a budget of 700€. I know my way around computers and recently build one for my dad. But for this one I wanted some help. I figured i should go with a MSI R9 270X because its a pretty solid GPU for the price.(This can change ofcourse) He also needs a WiFi connector with it because he doesn't have acces to a Ethernet port. (YES I KNOW DONT JUDGE lol) All recommendations are appreciated. Thank you brothers.

So I have a budget of around $700, $720, to be exact. I need help finding a good gaming build. I would prefer to use an Intel CPU so that it's easier to upgrade later, and I would like to have a quad-core CPU. This budget does include a monitor, wireless card, and preferably a Disc Drive, but not an OS. Thank you in advance. -Edit- As of right now, I really am not even considering OCing. -Edit 2- Thank you for the help everybody! -Edit 3- I am using USD, sorry. Also, I plan to use 2 monitors.

(Sorry in advance if I make senseless sentences) Hi! So I have a 2 year old rig that I can sell for around 500€ + I have 200€ already saved up. I need a gaming PC that can handle GTA V and BF:H + record the gameplay (Youtube stuff). My budget is set to maximum 700€ (okay, I'll maybe go up for 50€). I need help from you guys on what to add in my rig for a budget gaming PC. I've already made a quick "build list" but I don't know if it's good or nah + it's really overpriced. I want you guys to modify the list so I get the maximum performace for maximum 700€. Please feel free to totally change my list + can you please send me some websites where I can "build" my PC to see how much does it cost. Please add the webpage where you've got the prices and please look if the items can be shiped to Kranj, Slovenia with no shipping or minimum shipping fee. So here is my list (note: I don't need a CPU cooler and I don't need a space storage device): Case: AeroCool Vs-3 Advance USB 3.0 (agt.si 41€) PSU: LC Power LC6650 "Silent Giant" v2.3 650W (agt.si 66€) MOBO: MSI B85-G41 PC Mate (agt.si 80€) CPU: Intel i7 4790 @ 3.6 GHz (agt.si 325€) RAM: 1x Crucial PC3-12800 8192 MB, DDR III, 1600 MHz (agt.si 70€) GPU: EVGA GeForce GTX 960 FTW ACX 2.0+ (amazon.com 209,99$ = ~190€) ----Total Price: ~772€---- (as you can see, even this is tooooo much for me) Thanks to anyone who helps!

Hey I am going to be doing a pc build soon and I was wondering, what is the best psu (between 600 and 700 watt) and under £60. If you respond please link to uk websites only please.

Just an FYI, this isn't my listing -- it's from someone on the EVGA forums. It's a single slot PCI bracket for the 600 and 700 series cards as well as the Titans. http://www.ebay.com/itm/191094737350 It comes with instructions on how to mod your card to make it single slot. Needless to say, you will need to be watercooling for this to work. Figured I'd leave this here in case any crazy modders want to do it. Allegedly the person who sells these built a system for someone with eight Titans in two loops.

I'm looking for a gaming laptop that can run the latest games such as DA:I etc... They don't have to run perfectly as long as I can get decent fps (so not below 40) on minimum settings and can run older games above 60 fps. Hell I know that I can't get a very powerful laptop without spending some hard cash, but money is tight, so I am hoping there might be at least one laptop that fits my needs.

Hello, Im a complete n00b when it comes to PC's and im seeking advice on my first attempt at building one. So when i say n00b i guess i use the term loosely, its more like "im not as competent than probably most of you on these forums". So if there is somthing i dont know, or ask to explain please dont get mad, im just a loser . So down to business, as it says in the title i have a $700 budget to make a computer meant to handle things like Photoshop, Zbrush, and the Unreal 4 engine. But im not going to use this computer for these programs exclusively, i will also probably be gaming to a small degree on this computer and will be using alot of FL Studios. I also want to have a 2 monitor set up (this is included in the budget). But if implementing a 2nd monitor will mean i decrease the hardware due to keeping within the budget, i can just wait and save for a 2nd monitor later on. Just keep in mind i would like to upgrade to a 2 monitor set up. Some other points to make are that windows 8 will be included in the budget, and if its necessary to go over the budget like $100 more or so im willing to save and wait if it means performance. I would also like the leniency of upgradablity if it can be helped. What i know i want already: (Not set in stone) Intel CPU Nvidia GPU SSD (for os and major programs) At least 1 2Tb HDD (for storage) an Optical Drive Like i said before, my knowledge of computers only goes so far. So if something i want seems unrealistic please dont be afraid to let me know, also some examples of good alternatives would be nice. With all this in mind, please help me build my first PC!!!

Linus media group has just kicked off their crowd funding campaign in order to make some improvements to the office. With this in mind, we have many different teirs depending on how much is raised. We have the Gaben Bronze Statue at 600,000 , but nothing at 700,000. It seems it's up to us to set the reward for this goal. That is why today I, Majinferno, call to vote the creation of LinusWifeTips. One ring to rule them all. What's it going to be guys? Cast your vote above and leave feed back below

Hey, so my friend is planning to get a gaming PC around Black Friday, but he needs recommendations! Budget: <=700 USD *the cheaper the better! Location: US ^ in case you didn't catch that Purpose: Gaming (and of course standard usage); the most intense game played will probably be Tribes: Ascend Monitors/Peripherals: Undecided (recommend some stuff if you want!) Existing Computer: A Dell Inspiron (with i3) laptop... sooo yeah... ***This build is supposed to be for gaming (*the most intense game being "Tribes: Ascend") and is set to last for the next 3 (three) years...*** His brother is also helping him choose parts and we have mini Skype debates where we talk about what parts to put in. His brother has put this together so far: http://pcpartpicker.com/user/brian13579/saved/RXXYcf However, I am kind of against a few parts of the PC: - the i5... we could save like $100 on the CPU (let's go AMD ) and maybe up the graphics (to 770?). Or keep the graphics the same and save money. - the RAM could be cheaper... there are cheaper alternatives (Mushkin at around 66 USD) - the wireless card, but I don't know too much about that... will this be okay? - obviously, the list lacks the peripherals... so SUGGESTIONS PLEASE! WHAT ARE YOUR THOUGHTS ON THE BUILD SO FAR? ANY SUGGESTIONS? DO YOU AGREE WITH SOME OF MY POINTS? Thanks in advance!

Hey guys, first post here on the forum! I've been watching Linus for a loooong time though, but I just didn't need to make an account until now. So here's the thing. My 650Ti is getting old, and now, with 3D rendering, gaming and stuff I feel like I need a huge upgrade. I've got roughly a 600€ budget (quite flexible though), and since I've been planning on this for long, I was pretty much decided on buying 2x Gainward GTX 770 Phantom, in the 4GB version, basically because of the cooler design. The reason I wanted to take 2 770's over the 780 was mainly memory, since I want to have as much as possible (I deal with really heavy 3D scenes, and as of today, my 650 can't even load some really high-res HDRIs, not to say ultra-detailed models), because 4GB on the 770 was really good for the price, whereas I'd have to go 6GB on the 780 which was quite too expensive, and if I'm not wrong, 2x 770 can beat the 780. But now, with the new 9xx cards, I'm not sure how exactly the game's been changed.. So, even though I could browse through info and benchmarks (which I've actually done already), the opinions of other people are invaluable, imho. So, yeah, I'd be glad to see what you think. Essentially, I'd like to know if it's worth waiting for the newer cards, and if yes, which ones. Thanks in advance, Velstyde PS: The perfomance to price ratio is really important to me, but I'm a bit biased towards SLI because when I bought my mo-bo and PSU I spent the extra money so that it could run SLI.. so I'd like to have that actually used. Also, AMD cards are not an option, since I use Blender and it only supports CUDA rendering.

Hi Everyone, I'm building a new ATX rig for gaming and I'm not sure which graphics card to buy but I've come down to either the 760 or 780. This is the current rig, so that you know what the conditions it would be running in are: http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/user/cjsun9/saved/4hOk . I really really like the green on the side of the GTX 780 and so have even started to consider the 680 just to have this, as ridiculous as it may seem! Obviously, money exists and so I can't quad-way SLI 780s but future expandability is an option and so I'd love some feedback about dual way SLI-ing 760s against just one 780. Thanks a lot, cjsun9 (any changes to the parts guide to optimize it for gaming mainly but also future expandability (when I have some more money to spend!) are also very very welcome)

AMD's own Roy Taylor Vice President of Global Channel Sales made an interesting post via twitter yesterday commenting on the release of arch rival Nvidia's GTX 770. Here is what he had to say : https://twitter.com/amd_roy/status/340200487041241088 Is AMD hinting at an upcoming release ? share your thoughts in a post below.

Hey guys, I'm looking to buy a laptop. My budget is about $700/£450. It will be used for web browsing, and word processing (nothing too serious). I just need it to be fast for basic tasks. SSDs have crossed my mind, if my budget permits. I don't need large storage, I have a 1TB external hard drive. I'd love to hear your suggestions, thanks in advance.

The situation seems desperate for Nvidia, they have no products available to compete with AMD in the upcoming 6 to 9 months & their development costs are rising due to bad policies. Their situation is even worsened by AMD's console wins & relentless executive execution. We've been seeing big industry names jump ship and switch to AMD, people like Roy Taylor, Raja Koduri, Jim Keller & John Gustafson, the list goes on and on. We've also seen some very desperate moves by Nvidia licensing its Kepler architecture after years and years of trying to penetrate the mobile industry and having very little success. What happened to Nvidia ? share your thoughts. Source
