G'day Forum! Now, for the last few years I've been using the Razer Tiamat 7.1 headset, and it's served me very well over the last few years However, like everything Entropy has taken its toll, its a little rattly from the bass, its crackly in the mids and now the head band is snapped, so its time for a replacement! I'm looking for a Wireless Headset thats in 7.1 surround, around the $200 - $250 or even $300 AUD at a stretch, I do NOT need a microphone in the headset, as i use an Audio-Technica AT2020 for all my audio capture, as i not only game on my computer but i also do a moderate amount of Video and Audio production I was thinking the Logitech G933 personally, as it was wireless, 7.1 and RGB and the reviews had it as a very decent headset I also saw the Corsair Void Gaming Wireless headset, i wasnt such a fan of that, because the reviews had it performing under the G933 and i wasnt a fan of the look of them Is the G933 any good in your opinions? What do you guys recommend? - I'm open to any suggestions, but I am pretty firm on trying to save a few bucks if i can.

Hey, I just bought new ath 40x's. Now I need a new soundcard because I have only an on-board soundcard. So there are the internal soundcards that may cause trouble with the interference with the Mainboard. And the external that don't have the problem. I personally don't care about internal or external but after my research I have some questions. I mainly use my headphone for gaming fps games like cs go and sometimes music or YouTube. I want to spend like 50 or 60 euros. Cheaper is better if the quality is good. Max 70 euros. 1. There are external soundcards with 7.1 surround sound like the creative sound blasterx g5 with virtual surround sound 7.1 or the. So I really like the surround sound with 7.1 https://www.google.de/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=%23&ved=0ahUKEwiP-9bAza_VAhWHAsAKHfvSA9wQxa8BCB4wAA&usg=AFQjCNF1sHlk2z9QIx28jtvfnGP_UlkifA So my question is if there are also internal soundcards with a virtual 7.1 surround sound option or external soundcards at my price range with 7.1 surround sound. 2. What is your opinion. Do I really need virtual 7.1 surround sound to hear footsteps in a game like cs go? If not do you have an suggestions for me at my price range? Thank you for your answers

Hello! My Logitech G930's 7.1 won't work. When I use the switch on the headset to switch to 7.1 it doesn't do anything. Also when I try to put the 7.1 on from the Logitech gaming software, the whole software crashes. I have tried to download older versions of the Logitech gaming software from Logitech's website, but it won't let me to change the bit version... I can only download the 32 bit and when I try to start installing it Windows says that the software isn't compatible with the version of Windows. (I'm using Windows 10 64 bit newest version ). I can only download the newest version: 8.94.100, 64 bit, but 7.1 won't work with it. Thank you!

Hello guys, Anyone can help me with this? I'm having a problem with the Mic. Always I'm on TeamSpeak with my buddies and I start talking my voice looks like it's an old radio sound and in background has a wheezing sound too. I already unpugged and plugged again, turn on and off the Noise canceleling (when it's off the sound is terrible). I configured in Windows at 100% lvl and in the dock it's only in the third light. Don't know what is the problem, I just bought it!

Hi, I am looking to buy a sound card. I am looking at the Creative Labs Sound Blaster Audigy Rx. It is a 7.1 sound card. I am wondering if it will make my stereo headphones sound like virtual 7.1 headphones. (I have the AKG K702)

So I am looking at the Razer Kraken 7.1 Chroma for my desktop, and I want to know how they sound. Saw one guy say they were swamped with bass but others haven't seemed to of had an issue with it. I listen to heavy metal and do produce my own heavy metal too, but I may not use them for that as I use on board speakers on a separate device as they have a very good frequency response. I would also like to know if they is anything on a similar price range that could give me 7.1 but that's not the be all and end all and potentially use a 3.5mm Jack instead of USB aswell. I currently use Turtle Beach Z11 Because they are cheap and are tough as nails, so basically anything would be a an upgrade. Many thanks, Adam Note: Razer Kraken is currently £75 on ebuyer. And so is the Kraken PRO V2 which seems to be a bit better just without 7.1.

Hey I've recently bought a new corsair void USB and ive discovered that when using teamspeak or watching a youtube video that involves alot of talking the sound is very echoy and tinny. I've spoken to corsair and they're unable to fix this but i was wondering if this was normal for other people when using 7.1. When my headset is in stereo mode there is no echo but as soon as i put it into 7.1 it begins to show these issues. Is this normal or should i get my headset replaced. Cheers

I have the T7700 Creative 7.1 Surround Sound Speakers and i can get 5.1 to work in Windows 10, but i can't get 7.1 to work, upon further inspection i found that the side speaker ports weren't giving me any sound. I did a lot of research and found out that my motherboard does indeed support 7.1 it has a orange port for the center speaker/subwoofer, lime port for front speakers, black for rear speakers and finally light blue port for the side speakers which seems to be the problem. The T7700 has orange, lime, black and light blue cables that plug into the subwoofer, but the other end that goes into the motherboard only has orange, lime and black, but no light blue cable. So right now, i don't know what to do exactly, i'm trying to find a fix on google, but haven't had any luck the only other thing i could think of is to buy another cable, but that is tricky too the only thing i can find that might work was this cable. Anybody have any ideas on how to get it to work?

Hey guys. So I need help here. I would like to know if the denon avr 791 or the Yamaha vsx 1500 is better. To be clear I do not have the set up mic for either unit and unless I find one hella cheap I wont be getting one any time soon. So all adjustment must be made manually. Looking for bolth opinion and fact here regarding sound quality and build. I will only be able to use 5.1 source files via Dolby digital in my use case. Or up some with pliix. Xbox one x via optical or hdmi arc from TV which can only do max of 5.1 Dolby digital. The denon has features like true HD. But I cant really make use of it. The Yamaha reciever is considerably heavier and I just feel as tho it may have better internals and is thx certified for w.e that's worth. Also input on pliiz or presence speakers could help my decision. Sorry if this comes off to wordy. I am new to forum posting. Thank you in advance

Just got my new 4k HDR 10 enabled tv and I have an Nvidia shield for watching things off my Plex server. But I hate using the TV's multiple inputs as the interface sucks and the other option would be swapping cables. I don't have a sound bar or surround setup so the 2 40mm drivers facing the wall in the tv is all I have and it sucks. I don't have a big budget since I just dropped $700 on the tv. Any ideas on a good set up with easy to run/hide cables? Thanks ahead of time ?

( i dont want to turn it of becuse, why then have a 7.1 headset) I started to use voicemeeter bannana to fix it and it worked if i use voicemeeters virutal input as defult device in windows playback, but when i do that my audio in my headphones becomes very muddy becuse its going thrue viocemeeter and back in to my headphones. And if i use my headset as standard divce i dont get any audio to voicemeeter. Is there a way to get audio from my games directly to my headphones and to voicemeeter at the same time and then be abel to use the voice meeter audio in obs.( if i where able to make my heaset to a hardwaer input it would probebly solve it, but how do i get it as a hardwaer input in voicemeeter ?)

So I've been looking around for a bit today and came across the Logitech G533 headphones, Razer Nari and others but still struggling to decide which is good. I play mainly FPS games like CS:GO and Battlefield 4. I don't really have a budget but I would still consider cheaper options.

Hello all, I am currently looking for a new pair of headphones for immersive gaming and watching movies etc. Here are some things I want with the pair of headphones; 7.1 Surround Sound Ability to go wired or wireless Comfortable for 6+ hours a day Excellent noise cancelling Decent build quality I have a budget up to $250USD Reason for change: I currently have a Logitech G933 which are good don't get me wrong, but the power buttons always stuff up, this is my second pair with that issue and I want to try another brand now. Other Reason is I bought these because I wanted good audio aswell as having a mic which it has well the audio yes not so much the mic. anyway I no longer need a mic in the headset, I purely want a set of headphones as I am now rocking a AT2020 Mic I have been told that Sennheiser are really good, but I am not to knowing of the specs etc. So If I can find a Sennheiser with those features I would probably go for it, but also at the same time I would like to see what others think would be a worthy contender. All suggestions are appreciated!

Have u felt any improvement in experience with Windows Sonic for headphones with virtual surround 7.1 on? I personally didnt feel any difference. Is there any other service like this that u use and have felt a difference, like Dolby Atmos for example. Would also like to know if these service give a competitive edge in online gaming. I play Rainbow Six Siege and having gud audio to determine enemy location is very helpful. Thanks for sharing ur experience.

Hey guys, So I bought the Razer Tiamat 7.1 v2 the other day, but when I switch to 7.1 surround sound mode, only the front driver projects sound. So far I've enabled windows sonic for headphones, downloaded Razer drivers AND Razer, surround, and tried on another motherboard, but nothing I do seems to work. I think I need a discreet DAC/AMP or a sound card. Can anyone help me out with this? Thanks so much for responding (if you do)
