Tried so far: * Replace cable * DDU driver once * custom resolution in Radeon control panel On my to try list: * uninstall windows monitor driver * try Radeon additional settings Bug started after RSR update came for the Radeon control panel... Any suggestions? I even take the stupid ones! -
Hello guys, recently I upgraded to a 144hz monitor and I wanted to keep my 60hz one to be a second monitor for twitch chat etc,but when I use it my FPS are so bad in games and I have a mode on my 144hz one that it is showing my Hz and when I use the second one while the 144hz one is running the Hz on the 144 one are going crazy down, how can I fix it? Because I know it is something from the AMD graphics card, i'm not that good with their software, i used to have a Nvidia GPU, any tips? Where is the setting ? This new Adrenaline 2020 its kinda blowing me away

I want to connect my laptop(60hz) to a monitor(144hz). Will it display 144hz on the monitor ? What adapter should i use for this ? Hey guys so its been 5 years since my last build and and finally time for an upgrade. Im in the process of building my new pc to keep up with the newest games with higher gpu demands but Im having trouble deciding whether its worth it to buy a 4k monitor or get a great QHD (2k) for half the price and upgrade down the road. Is 4k really worth it??? i have a $700 budget. I have an i5 9400f Asus b365m a prime motherboard Corsair vengeance 8x2gb 2400mhz dual channel Corsair vs650 psu Rtx 2060 msi gaming z Hp 22es 60 hz monitor (1920x1080) And a 1tb wd blue hdd I am experiencing stutterings and screen tears in most games with vsync off. All my temps are fine and have the latest drivers.. Reinstalled windows 10. Also, reinstalled everything into a new hdd (1tb wd blue) that i had. (couldn't buy an ssd because all stores are closed here due to lockdown) The stuttering issues have somewhat become less frequent in the new hdd. Old hdd was 5 years old. Will the problem be solved if i get a 144hz 1080p monitor?

I'm a new member and I specifically joined to ask this. I have a mid range(?) build i3-8100 GTX 1660 super 16gb 2666 RAM and an old VGA 60hz HP monitor which is at 1440x900. As per benchmarks I see on YouTube and Google, I should get pretty decent frames while playing up to date games like farcry, PUBG, Apex and so on. But I get nothing. I barely hit 70fps on ultra on farcry, I don't get stable 80fps on Apex and roughly hit 60 on PUBG, and it's not even on highest settings. Is there anything wrong with my build or my software or anything?

I have a Hp Pavilion with a i7-6700HQ with Nvidia GeForce GTX 960m so my graphics card can run 4k but i just have a hdmi port but i dont know if it is 1.4 or 2.0 and im about to buy a 4k monitor but if my hdmi is 1.4 and just 4k 30hz output i wont buy it. Please help me, thank you in advance (Is for work not gaming but still want 60hz)

I have a HP Pavilion with a i7-6700HQ with Nvidia GeForce GTX 960m and im planing to buy a Samsung 4K LU32J590UQLXZX 32" for working and light graphic design as my main display (the laptop display i will turn off) but i have hdmi 1.4 so 4k just up to 30hz it works so should i use it for work 4k 30hz or maybe 1440 60hz but i read it will be worst than a native 1440 so my two questions are is 4k 30hz is it really that bad if just working like coding stuff and light photoshop? and 1440 60hz on a 4k monitor is really bad or just a little bad compare to native? (I just really want 4k and the one i found is the perfect size for my desk and want to watch movies 4k) Thanks you in advance!

Hi, sorry for my bad English and probably there is already a Topic about that. i am looking for a 4K Monitor with HDR Support and G-Sync with a refresh rate of over 60Hz and good Colors for Content work is the Acer Predator XB3 XB273KPbmiphzx a good one? i want something what is max 1500€ but supports 4K, HDR and G-Sync... i checked the Nvidia G-Sync Monitor list but there it is written that de Acer Predator XB3 XB273KP doesn't support HDR but the XB273KGP does but the KGP doesn't have Variable Overdrive and the KP does do you have a recommendation wich one of those i should take or do you have another one? Will a 60hz monitor hold back the capabilities of a 2070 super or does it matter? Also will 60hz limit the amount of fps you can get in a game?

Hi All, I originally had a XL2411 (144hz 1080p 1ms) and a RL2455HM (60hz 1080p 1ms) set of monitors but upgrading to a GTX1080Ti meant the XL2411 couldn't have 144hz as it was DVI-D. So I bought a XL2411P for the DP but now I'm stuck with 3 monitors. I don't have space to run all three together so which one should I get rid of? RL2455HM seems the worst in my eyes but is going for similar prices on ebay as the XL2411. Alternatively, is it worth getting a better second monitor and selling both the XL2411 and the RL2455HM? If so, any suggestions on what to go for ie QHD/4k/IPS etc. Thanks in advance all

I currently have a 144Hz BenQ Monitor. I want to make the move to dual monitors. I have a high end PC that canhandle anything (6700K + GTX 1080). Shall I go for two 144Hz monitors or will a second 60Hz monitor will be good enough. I ented to use my main screen for gaming or whatever I am working on, and the second monitor for steam messages, discord/ts3, websites, maybe watching a movie while I am dead. I have heard that the difference in Hz between monitors would pose a problem but I couldn't understand what the problem was. Where I am at, a 144Hz costs 480$, and the 60Hz monitor (same size and 1080p as my main monitor) is 205$.

Afternoon reader, I'm in need for a Monitor upgrade, I'm currently using a BenQ RL2455HM 60hz 24inch with 1ms response time. I'm after a monitor with 144hz ,1ms response time and 24 (or more) inches, mind giving me a list of the cheapest and best reviewed displays out there? ps. sorry for being lazy

Theres the asus Asus PB278Q and Asus PB277Q The 278Q has a ips display at around 40 dollars more with a 60hz refresh rate. The 277Q is different with a non ips display and a 75hz refresh rate. Which should I go with as if I overclock the 277q i might be able to overclock it and get a higher hz. But with the 278Q i get a ips display. I probally can overclock it to 75hz. Which should i get?.

I'm looking for a 1080p 60hz monitor to run with my GTX 960. I'm living in New Zealand so some options are limited but I'm looking for something around the 23'' mark. Not sure whether to go TN or IPS. I use my PC for playing video games, the most competitively demanding being Overwatch and very occasionally CS:GO, and also for browsing, school work and watching movies etc. Would prefer something under 2ms response time and with HDMI + DVI/Display port. Any help is appreciated, thanks.

Hi! I'm currently looking for two monitors, one for more high-quality gaming and another for less intensive games (League of Legends, CS: GO, etc). For my new setup, I will be using a GTX 1070 and an I5 CPU from Skylake. I am aware there are different types of panels and refresh rates. One of my Crossover just failed on me. Most likely the controller went bad. No time for tinker around with it and I need a replacement ASAP. Any suggestion for 27" IPS WQHD monitor that under $300USD? Also, it have to have VESA mount.

So maybe once a month on average, i turn my PC on, and it boots into windows running at 3840x2160@30hz, not the glorious 60hz i expect. Irritatingly, the AMD settings panel has this notification but does not offer a solution; "we have detected a problem with your display link, so you may not be able to run desired resolutions and framerates" It's an easy fix i just reboot the PC and 99% of the time it fixes it, 100% of the time after 2 reboots, but clearly this isn't something i want to put up with. I'm running the latest driver, even though this problem has persisted through the last 4 or 5 drivers. I'm using a 1 meter Lindy Displayport 1.2 rated cable so that shouldn't be the problem, industry standard cable maker. used the shit one that came with the monitor to test that and it still did it the PB287Q doesn't magically switch into DP 1.1 mode when this happens, i have checked before kinda stumped, help anyone ?

Hi, I plan to buy new monitor and I've selected a few models from which I will choose one. The difference between those is the refresh rate: 60hz, 75hz and 75hz with FreeSync. So i have couple of questions. Does 75Hz refresh rate is any better than 60Hz? ; Is there difference between 75Hz and 75Hz with FreeSync? ...and Does even 75Hz FreeSync monitor make any sense if i can push like twice the FPS? (I mean should i limit myself to 75FPS with FreeSync if i can just play at 150+ provided the screen tear doesn't bother me too much) I'm looking for the cheapest option, unless paying a bit extra for that 75Hz is worth. Thanks. : )

Hi All, I'm new to this forum. Signed up to see if anyone had any suggestions. I recently purchased the LG 65UH770V (http://www.lg.com/uk/tvs/lg-65UH770V) Then the EVGA NVIDIA GTX 1070 Founders Edition (http://www.evga.com/Products/Product.aspx?pn=08G-P4-6170-KR) Both are compatible with HDMI 2.0. The Graphics Card is HDMI 2.0b and the TV is HDMI 2.0a. (Both compatible with 4k Res @ 60hz) For some reason, when using that setting on the PC. I get full screen flashing. Sometimes it'll be constant and I literally cannot use my PC. But sometimes it won't happen for hours.. There's the inbetween too, where it'll flash on/off once or twice and then not do it for ages. I have tried the suggested fixes for Windows 10 on/off flashing issues, no luck. Tried the suggestions for 4k@60hz flashing issues such as lowering refresh rate to 59hz, making sure the HDMI 2.0 UHD True Colour setting is on on my TV. (Still no luck) I've also tried reinstalling Windows 10 blank. But it was still happening. Completed uninstalled GTX 1070, and reinstalled drivers manually. Still no luck. I've changed from GTX 980 to GTX 1070 in the hope of solving this issue. But still nothing... Just here to see if someone can help out as it's very frustrating. Got a PC that can play 4k Games, got the TV. But still not having my chance to play games because of flashing issues. Thanks in Advance guys!

Title will clear things up. So i have 2 monitors, one 1080p 144hz display and a smaller 60 hz 1366 x 768 display. My graphics card is a EVGA 1070 8gb FTW with intel i7 6700k and some 16gb of ram. My pc has no problems running a game, with the 60hz monitor watching livestreams or high quality youtube videos, but there is this thing. When i launch a game on the 144hz display, the 60hz monitor is acting like in slow motion, the video tears a bit. Random slow motion moments with the audio out of sync, meanwhile my game (for honor for example) Runs easy with 150 fps+. But not only when i launch a game, when i launch google chrome on my 144hz and some livestream at the 60hz monitor, SAME THANG.... ITS VERRUH ANNOYING TO WATCH LIVESTREAMS i cannot stand this. I tried to set my 144hz display to 60hz, to match it with the smaller one, and the problem was gone, everything ran fine, but i am not about that 60 fps lock life. Any suggestions? I tried to find something similair to this but did not come to a solution since most of the posts were way outdated. nam sayin

Hi all, since all the other topics are outdated I want to ask this question again, maybe the opinions/facts have changed. I need a new Monitor since my old one is making problems. So now the question is, should the new one be 60hz or 120hz. If I search other forums, the opinions different a lot... many say you don't need more then 60hz because you will not see a difference and others say once you go 120hz you will never go back . What are youre experience with this? I hope that with a 120hz Monitor, my motion blur in games will go away or at least get better. If 120hz is worth it, can you suggest a good monitor at max. 300€ (or $) Thanks! Mike

I want to know what limits a 60hz monitor to 60hz. Is it possible to upgrade a 60hz monitor to 144hz by changing any of the hardware? I can not find any info on if this is possible and if there is any said hardware can you buy it?

Hey guys im trying to buy monitor i have limit about 450$ can add 100$ more. I have msi 1070 gaming x gpu. I have few cheap monitors like pixio277 and dell s2416dg. Dell has gsync pixio have freesync. Is gsync worth it my games will mostly run more than 80hz so is it worth it.
