Hello! Im looking to buy a new monitor that can cover both my gaming and professional needs. I would greatly appreciate some input from you guys, which monitor i should look into that can cover all my (hopefully realistic) needs. The price is not that much of an issue as long as the monitor covers the following requirements: 27inch 4k 90-144hz 100% adobe rgb I have tried to look but got lost in the sea of monitors, plus it seems to me that there are few monitors that would be as good for professional work as for gaming... I’m kinda running into an issue with my setup. So it’s my first PC, ROG STRIX G15DK. It’s got an NVIDIA RTX 3060 and a Ryzen 7 3700X CPU. My monitor however is really all I got. It’s a 4k OLED ThinQ 65”… obviously 4K looks amazing, but when I get into games like Tarkov or MSFS 2020… looks amazing but at about 20fps 30 on a good day. I have my CPU ratio set 41.75 and my RAM settings set as tight as I can without having much knowledge about PC’s, as well as all the performance settings set in bios. Doing this I get about 10-20 more frames and it seems my cpu is showing better performance. Now my big issue is the 4K tv, I’m currently setting it at 1080p as it looks clearer than 1440 for some reason. It still looks blurry and jagged like textures and words, and I still only see 30-50 FPS sometimes up to 70 at medium settings. Is there something I’m missing with settings or anything to get max quality and performance with my set up or am I screwed because I have a 4k tv?

Hey Guys, My Great-Aunt is planning on upgrading from a Samsung 50in 1080p 3D TV (UA50ES6200) to a 75" ish inch 4k TV. Her current TV is connected to a Yamaha RX-A1060 AV receiver (which she will keep). Connected to the AV Receiver is a Apple TV 4K, Foxtel (Australian cable TV) and a DVD Player (WHY STILL!?!?) which is all being controlled by a Logitech harmony hub. What TV do you suggests she might get with a budget of like AUD$4,500. I am pretty sure she will want HDR, but doesn't need High Refresh Rate (as the AV receiver doesn't support this) I was thinking the LG C2 77", but would love to hear your suggestions.. I am going TV shopping with her this Sunday.

Hello, I am planning to upgrade my 8years PC to a new one and can't decide on a monitor to get. Graphics card target 7900XT or 6950XT so AMD FreeSync would be a must. I am still in a crossroads between 34" ultra wide UHD and 42±43" 4k monitor. I am more an a MMO RPG/RPG or ARP games guy - thats why i'm targeting lower refresh rate monitors but with higher resolution. Please help me decide by writing your experiences if you had any playing such type games on those types of displays! If anyone can suggest something that are BIS of both types between 500±1000$/€ would be awesome! I would prefer 120 Hz+, my room is kind a dark, not much sunlight at all so brightness isn't that important. Also curved screen for a ultra wide would be a priority (idk why, looks cool .. maybe) P.S I have been crushing 2x27" 144 Hz monitors to date. Love it, but want to try something new. So I got a budget build around, its great for 1080p, even 1440p. But 4k is really unachievable for me. I am one of those gamers who games on a 4k TV (wanted a 55 inch but couldn't find 1080p anymore). I don't know what is it, but I tried 1440p and even 4k and I don't see much difference. I turn up the sharpness from 50 to 70 on TV, turn on game mode and that's it. I set the in game res to 1080p for each game in the menu. Maybe this could be because I'm sitting 6 feet away? I just can't notice 1080p vs 4k on the TV. I'm not really complaining as this gives me awesome fps in a budget build which could last a couple more years. I'm just wondering if any of you do the same, I mean play 1080p on a 4k TV?

Budget (including currency): TBD Country: Brazil Hi, I want to upgrade my PC to play at 4k, currently my setup is ryzen 5 3600x, 32gb ram 3600mhz (I'm a developer), gtx 1050ti, 550w PSU 80 plus gold. I don't want to change my PSU because I bought not long ago. The games I play on the regular are minecraft, Elden Ring, League, Red Dead Redemption 2. I believe that only a GPU upgrade is need it, I don't have much problems with budget and just wanted to know what's the best price to performace to play game in 4k at 60 fps. If you think I need any other upgrade, give me the options as well.

I am trying to build my own NAS and this would be my first attempt and I am going to be following a tutorial to help me. We are primarily going to be using it to store various shows and movies that we already own. We did discuss using plex, but I am not entirely positive that we could even use this build for that. I tried researching the topic, but I want to try and do this as easy as possible. As I mentioned this would be my first attempt. I linked the tutorial and parts below that I intend to use. Would this be sufficient for our intended purpose or are there areas we could upgrade to make sure our content runs smoothly? I just would like to save a significant amount of money by building instead of getting a prebuilt NAS. Thanks!

I am looking into trying to buy my husband a NAS for Christmas this year as a surprise. I've tried researching and I am having a difficult time trying to choose one that will have the ability to run 4K videos smoothly. He mainly wants it to store his favorite shows and he did mention wanting to use plex as well. I was going to purchase a DS1821+ however I do not know if that is overkill for the purposes that we intend to use it for. I would like something like is user friendly which is why I was going to go with synology and preferably one that we will be able to use for the foreseeable future. They seem to have excellent reviews as far as that goes. My budget is around $1000. I would like to stay within that range as I know I will have to by drives for the bays. If someone could give me suggestions on a model or what I should look for I would appreciate it.

Let's say for the sake of it that your system easily support both options. Would you rather game at 1440p 240 FPS or 4k at 120 FPS? And why?

Hey guys, I've been in the market to get a 4K TV for my dorm room for a minute now. My local best buy has deals on these two TVs right here. I'd use it to play games on my PS5 and occasionally my friends Xbox series X. I also have a gaming laptop capable of playing games in 4K, and I stream videos, shows, and movies a lot. I have a Fire TV 4K that I've been using so I'm not too concerned about what the OS will be. I'm also not concerned about sound as I took my old basement speakers with me to college. The dresser I'm going to put on isn't the biggest so I can't go any larger than 43". I have no clue what to look for in a TV and this would be my first time ever buying one, so I'd also appreciate suggestions if you think these aren't any good for what I need. I've recently been looking at some TVs to possibly replace my living room TV. I'm looking at the new 4k FireTV that's available for preorder. It's 4k QLED with Dolby Vision IQ and local dimming. It's priced at $799 USD. This TV would mainly be for TV/Movies. At most, I would play some older ps4 games on it as I primarily game on my PC. I'm a bit of a noob when it comes to home theater TVs, so I was hoping to hear if anyone has experience with FireTVs or if there are other comparable competitors I should be looking at. I'm a little worried about purchasing an amazon TV over a name brand like Sony, Samsung, or LG, but I'm tempted by the price. Thoughts? Hi guys. For the past year or so I've been playing my games on my 4k Tv (It is a Blaupunkt 75" 4K TV, I believe I have the 2020 model) and the experience has been pretty good with a large screen but I feel like I'm not getting the most out of my 3080ti on an LCD panel and being limited to 60HZ. I play games like GTA with NVE installed and Cyberpunk where they are quite visually spectacular. Now I was looking at OLED TVs in a comparable size as I did get to try out the Aorus F048U for a while and LOVED it. However the new placeI have moved into actually has a far bit more space for my TV so going larger is possible. This one has a 120HZ VRR over the LGs 100HZ display but it seems like a bit of an unknown quantity, I saw an article saying it was only released 8 days ago but I'm not sure how accurate that is. I was just wondering if anyone had any insights as to what they prefer, QLED or OLED and if having such a massive screen size is worth sacrificing the OLED experience. My bedroom is totally light controlled so OLED dimness isn't an issue and the TVs themselves are within a few hundred dollars of each other depending on the website, I have heard good things about TCL panels but have never experienced one myself. my tv does support 4k120hz but my pc has a gtx 1660 super and i used an hdmi 2.0, is this a bug or a feature? (as in supporting 120hz if im playing games at 1080p)

Hello all, virgin pc builder here. I know display resolution is different from aspect ratio, but just bare with me... in this instance I am keeping ppi/dpi consistent. I drew up a little picture here to help you...get the picture. After some initial research I found that a true super ultrawide 4k monitor (like the 49" variety) would be around 7680x2160 pixels (i.e. 16,588,800 total pixels). Sooooo, since this is basically half the pixels of an 8k monitor (7680 × 4320), why do 8k monitors exist but these SUWUHD monitors do not? Or at least I cannot find any available atm. I would imagine a large but fine display like this would be super useful to just about everyone in terms of gami... I mean productivity right? And easier on the old eyeballs... Hey community, I'm looking for a new TV to replace my ~10 year old Samsung TV. I'm located in Germany just as a reference for availability... if this matters. Basically I'm looking for a dumb screen with awesome picture quality because I'm using a PC as a base. No cable TV, no Netflix, no "smart" stuff is needed. Everything will be streamed off my HTPC. I'm also no console gamer so no need for any gaming related specs. I would like a screen with ~65'' because i already have 55'' and I don’t have enough space for 75'', also the image quality of 4k seems to suffer at around 75''. I'm looking for a good/nice image quality and would be happy so be under the 2000$/€ mark. Do you guys have any recommendations? I'm currently settled on the Sony A80J or A90J

I am currently searching for parts to build a PC for myself after years of slow hand-me-downs and loud-fanned laptops. I do graphic design and have been interested in making graphics-heavy video content as well, so I've been researching and workshopping a build for a few weeks after learning at least a decent amount on how the process works, what parts I'd need for my goals, and what combination might make the best finished product. From what I've seen online the latency in game mode is pretty decent but I wanted to check here and see if anyone has experience with this tv, or experience using a large tv as a monitor. Is this a great idea or a terrible idea? Let me know

Hello, I am planning on purchasing either the Samsung QN90A 50” or the Sony A80J 55”. Both TVs are currently the same price at the sizes I’ve listed. I will be using either of them as a bedroom TV, which will be primarily for streaming tv series and movies, but I also will be playing on my PS5 from time to time (I primarily PC game). My bedroom doesn’t have a lot of light and I’ll primarily use the TV at night. After reading reviews and learning more about both devices I have started to favor the Sony TV based on the picture quality and the amazing contrasts OLEDs have to offer. I like the Samsungs overall look and the brightness capabilities for displaying HDR content, and not to mention the amazing response times the Samsung TV has to offer. The one thing that I am concerned with is OLED picture retention or “burn in” as I watch a lot of content with subtitles. I want the TV to last several years. Does anyone have good experience with OLEDs and subtitles? I couldn’t find any posts or articles mentioning this in recent times.

Hi guys, I'm hoping someone can suggest something that might help me out. I've just bought an X90J TV for my console gaming setup - don't worry, I have a gaming PC too - and I need a HDMI splitter for all of my consoles, though for the life of me the only ones I can see on Amazon are 1 in 10 out. I've got 10 consoles total, and an HDMI sound bar that need to plug into a TV with one AV port and 4 HDMI inputs. Does anyone know of a 10 in 1 out HDMI splitter that can run 4K120?

The choice is between a 32" 4k monitor 60hz or the 27" fhd 144hz 1080p monitor. Only reason I'm getting rid of one is I recently purchased 1440p which I'm very happy with, and lack of space means only room for two monitors. I'm tied between keeping the 4k for watching movies due to the sharpness but the 1080 is gysnc capable. Which would you keep and why? (Graphics card is 2060fe if that info helps any)

Hi friends, I've bought this monitor a while back and honestly, for its price, its really good. Been running it at 1080p at 144hz without any issues. However, when i went to my nvidia control pannel, I found that u could actually put the rez to 4k 3840x2160. I tried it and it works but is it safe to leave it at 4k for a long time? Im somewhat good with tech but I never thought I could run the monitor at 4k 60HZ(capped at 60HZ once on 4k). A bit of a weird one ikn but my curiosity got the best of me.
