I am currently running an i5-3570k and a GTX980 on my tv that supports 1080p/120Hz or 4k/60Hz. Right now, I pretty much stick to 1080p and have no problems with setting everything to the highest settings (except AA usually) and play at 60 or 120 depending on whether it is a fast-paced game or more visual (read: harder to run). On some newer games, I'll have to turn something down a level to maintain 60 fps but it's generally fine (admittedly, I have not been playing many particularly new games recently so I could be a bit off there). I tend to play AAA open-world/RPG games with the exception of Rocket League, though I do not think that one will be the deciding factor in any way. I am looking for a card that can basically do the same at 4k/60, where I can just set to the highest presets (or very minimal tweaks) and play. This is my main concern rather than performance per dollar as cost is not an issue for me at the moment. Essentially, my performance per dollar calculation is a step function where I am not upgrading to something that cannot do 4k/60 because in that case I may very well end up setting it to 1080p High which is where I'm at now. After that point, I would prefer cheaper so as to not waste too much money but again, that step is the focus. Once I do upgrade, it'll probably stay with me for like 4 years again. It looks like the 2080 Ti is probably going to be the card for me since all reviews show it above that 60 fps level when the 2080 and 1080 Ti are sometimes a bit above and sometimes well below. I am not aware of any games where the 2080 Ti was enough below that turning down one thing wouldn't put it back above. I should also note that I would certainly try ray tracing (at 1080p I know...) but I am really most excited for DLSS on these new cards. Even if neither of those end up gaining widespread support, I think I'd be okay. Finally, I'll almost certainly be getting a 9th gen CPU once they come out and won't go past 1080p/120 or 4k/60 due to the tv specs so I am not too worried about bottlenecks on the CPU side of things. Thoughts?

Hello everyone, Nvidia showed on there Keynote the new RTX 20-Series and a video of the Infiltrator Tech Demo. So I basically decided to run the Tech Demo on my GTX 1080 Ti in 4k (Specs below). I changed the Tech Demo to run in Fullscreen on 4k monitor --> See Screenshots The RTX 2080 Ti runs the Tech Demo on smooth 60fps (locked fps). It was also mentioned that the graphics card can reach higher frames. I captured the Tech Demo and you can watch it here. Let me know what you thing about the new RTX 20-Series compared to the GTX 10-Series. Specs: CPU: Ryzen 5 1600 @3.8GHz GPU: MSI GTX 1080 TI Armor OC (OC setting as picture) RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-2400

First: WHAT CPU DO I GET W THE 2080 TI Second: 1 OR 2 2080 Tis! JUST SAW SOME INSANE GUY ON HERE POST THAT HE GOT TWO!!!! WHYY???? I currently have a stupid 1060 and I can only really run fortnite on medium settings when at 165 Hz in 1440p. Trying to get ANY GAME (BF5, Tomb Raider) in 1440p 144/165Hz? Is 1 2080 Ti enough so I don't have to rob a bank?

Hi all, i was just wondering if anyone had any experience with running a triple 1440p monitor setup with a single 2080ti. i am interested in getting two more monitors and using a 2080ti to power it, however i would't if it doesn't run it smoothly. is there anyone who has this setup or could give me an estimate to how much fps i could get from this? i would also be using an i9 9900k processor thanks in advance

ZOTAC GeForce RTX 2080 Ti vs ASUS Dual GeForce RTX 2080 Ti ? Is there really a big difference between having 2 fans and 3?

Hello everyone and anyone, I'm in need of some technical help... with cyber monday quickly approaching I figured it was either now or never to get myself a solid GPU. I'm well aware that Nvidia's 2080-ti is the top choice for most, I have a pretty solid system but have no GPU, and I don't want to bottleneck anything. I have an i9-9900k on a ASUS XI CODE MOBO, with 64GB of 3200MHz Speed RAM, and a solid PSU, with ample cooling. I want to be able to game in 4k at top specs for most games, but I don't want to spend too much on a GPU, I really like the 2070 Super, and 2080 Super from Nvidia, (either from Nvidia or ASUS) for both price, and performance... if I were to get a 2080 ti though... I was looking at the ASUS ROG STRIX GeForce RTX 2080-TI Overclocked 11G GDDR6, or just the Nvidia Model. What do y'all think? Also, as far as upgradeability goes... I can't seem to find much info on pairing 2 2080 Super cards together through SLI, or Nvidia Bridge... I've seen examples with the 2070 Super, but not the 2080 Super. My guess as to why that is, is that at that point your probably just better off getting a 2080 ti at that point right? My reasoning for considering the 2080 Super is that it's like 700-800 dollars, and later I could get another one for sli. Lastly... I just want to have a good experience for my viewers on twitch. Do y'all even think SLI does anything different? Or should I just bite the bullet and get a 2080 ti. I would really appreciate any and all opinions you have on my considerations for GPU's above. Thanks!

Hi guys, I've narrowed my options down to these: https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/user/Henry12321432515/saved/kn3LJx https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/user/Henry12321432515/saved/66XTBm https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/user/Henry12321432515/saved/vykFt6 Which would be the best in your opinion? It's going to be used for gaming. I will add an SSD in the near future. Thanks

Hey guys! My PC is currently running an Nvidia GTX 1080, an i7 7700k overclocked to 4.8ghz on an MSI Z270 M5. I am looking to upgrade this. The obvious upgrade is to change that GTX 1080 for a GTX 2080 Ti, but I was curious if it would also be worth the money to swap that i7 7700k for an i9 9900k based on the upgrade I would get. Let me know! Thanks guys!

Budget (including currency): $5,000 - $6,000 AUD Country: Australia Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Rainbow Six Siege, Call of Duty, Rust, Halo, League of Legends, OBS, Game Overlays (eg. Overwolf), Sony Vegas, Adobe Premier, Ableton Live 10 My goal here is to avoid major bottle-necking as much as I can, while also just affirming with the community here that the parts I have picked out are compatible with each other. I've been double, triple, and quadruple checking compatibilities of every part, and I'm fairly confident in all of the parts except for the mobo, CPU, and GPU (since this is my first time moving to an AMD processor and also my first time moving to an Nvidia GPU). I'm just really trying to get this build right the first time, to avoid any incompatibility issues or major bottle-necking dilemmas since, as I said, this is my first time moving to AMD processor and Nvidia GPU. Also, with this build, is it worth going 3600MHz Memory, or just buy some 3200MHz Memory instead? CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 3900X GPU: MSI GeForce RTX 2080 Ti Ventus GP OC 11GB Mobo: ASUS Prime X570-P CSM Edit: For anyone wondering what RAM and CPU Cooler I have already picked out RAM: G.Skill Trident Z RGB 32GB (2x16GB) 3600MHz CL18 DDR4 CPU Cooler: Noctua NH-U12A 120mm

Bevore i beginn: I HAVE NEVER BUILD A PC AM A COMPLETE NOVICE SO PLEASE BEAR WITH ME WHEN I HAVE STUPID QUESTIONS 1. Budget & Location My budget is limitless but dont have money for a second gpu JET I live in germany so i pay with the euro 2. Aim My aim is a highend gaming pc witch looks baller (rgb and cool lighting) and has a ton of power witch lasts me for quite a while! Cause my old one has not much power to get me cyberpunk 2077 when it comes out at maxsettings or other high spec games! 3. Monitors i Own 2 Benq Monitors( dont know specs have to search first will edit that in) and am aiming to get myselfe a realy good 4k Monitor or maybie a Curved UltraWide Monitor as a 3rd ( or normal 4k when the budget is thin) 4. Peripherals i have Keyboard mouse ect. and am buying win 10pro 5. Why are you upgrading? Like i said my old one has not much power My old specs are: Gigabyte GA-990FXA-UD3, AMD 990FX AMD FX-8350 8x 4.0GHz GeForce GTX980 Ti 6144MB (DVI/HDMI/DP) 16GB OC DDR3-RAM @2133MHz (2x 8GB) be quiet! System Power 700 Watt (80+) 2000GB S-ATA3, 8GB SSD Cache(but was switched with a seagate barracuda 2000gb) be quiet! Silent Base 800 orange 6.Owned parts that i already bought Gpu:RTX 2080 ti founders(preordered, my country has a 14 day return polocy without any reason so i can risk it and no i wont go down) Ram: 32GB G.Skill Trident Z RGB DDR4-3200 2x dual pack ( have multiple programs open at all times) Harddrive: 1 tb samsung 970 evo boot drive CASE: Lioan Li o11 Dynamic white Fans: 9x ll120s and a commander pro( they were discounted) 7. What i still need and my suggestions CPU: am getting the new i7-9700k when its coming(this is a set desicion) Aoi: i would get the corsair h150i pro( case has space for it and swap the stockfans with ll120s) Motherboard: i would get the maximus X hero ( does the new cpu support this motherboard?) Powersupply: i would get a corsair rm850x white BUT i might get a second 2080 ti does the powersupply suffice?( want to overclock!) AND can i get another founders edition when it comes out at the 20th? ( i never saw the 1080 ti in the nvidia site and only found used founders editions of it, does nvida not build more founders editions when it came out?) Thanks in advance!

Hi, After many, many revisions this is what I've come to. Do you guys have any recommendations? Will the cpu cooling be adequate? BTW, I want to mount the cpu colling rad on the top, so, if I change the size of the rad I have to change the case. I'm right on the tip of my budget here, I can't really afford to spend even 30 quid more. I'm going to get an SSD in the near future. https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/user/Henry12321432515/saved/kn3LJx Any help is greatly appreciated Thanks

Hi my system currently comprises of a Threadripper 1950x , 32gb of 3200mhz ddr4 ram and a gtx 960. im looking at upgrading to a new graphics card and ive got 3 im considering , A 1080 ti AIO and a 2080 super or 2080 ti (depending on price ) Would my 1950x bottleneck the 2080ti/super? . i know a 1080 ti would work perfect but since a 2080ti/super isnt much more expensive i may stretch to one of them for the power efficiency and ray tracing capabilities Thanks for your knowledge and yes i know a threadripper is a unusual chip but i host alot of game servers off my pc and the extra cores and ram wiggle room is amazing (i paid less then £400 for my current system) Pc specs to help 1950x overclocked to 4ghz at 1.45V Noctua tower Asus x399-A Board Gtx 960 gigabyte windforce x2 4GB (this is what im swapping out) Corsair vengance 8x4 set of 3200mhz WD 4tb WD 3tb Rando sata 250gb ssd (better than a HDD atleast) OCZ 600W psu Corsair c70 ammo box case Thanks!

Original build thread: here Well I upgraded from the Palit RTX 2090 Ti to an MSI RTX 3090 SUPRIM X. I have had an extremely busy time since I first built my PC and I have went from wanting to custom water loop my first rig to now I am just upgrading the GPU as a stop-gap until I have the spare time and consummate number of F's to devote to a whole new build. Just thought I would show you how it looks now. The only issue that I had was that the 2080 Ti only needed one PCIe 8-pin to double 8-pin cable and I couldn't be bothered re-doing my back-end cable management so I just stuck another cable in through the cable slot and stuffed the excess cable into the cavity. Forgive my tragic cable management in the front but I just wanted it done. Another small issue is that the NZXT USB hub I had didn't have anywhere to go so I pushed it up against the back of the fan cage and it cleared the card by a few millimetres. Will do a benchmark on UserBenchmark to see how much better the 3090 is over my 2080 Ti.
