Hello! I currently am running a i3 and a 1050ti with 8gb of ddr4 ram and was wondering if I should upgrade my CPU or my graphics card first. I was trying to play escape from tarkov and the frames were a little low and choppy so I was wondering if there was a better way to fix my problem. I would like to keep my budget a little on the lower side but I can expand if I need too. Thanks!

So, Ive got a weird pc matchup: i9900k Dark Rock Pro 4 1050ti msi 4GB (cuz the benchmarks showed it was good enough for what i needed) 16gb 3200 ram 256gb SSD Boot Drive 2TB Seagate HDD Z390 Gigabyte motherboard 650w Gold Modular Basically my 9900k is base clock 5ghz and i havent touched any overclocking on it, and reaches about 90 degrees C max when Im gaming, just wanna check if thats fine or i need to do something. And the main problem being the 1050ti, which is wayyy underperforming what the benchmarks suggest and when i try to OC it gets worse for some reason? Thanks in advance Nick

My problem is that on the 4 core 8 threads Ryzen 5 Davinci resolve worked better, now on 2700x i got a lot of lag in my timeline. Can anyone help?

Hey guys, so i have a bit of an outdated gaming pc (i3-6100 and a geforce 1050ti, 2x 4GB RAM). I dont really know alot about PC's but my fps is way lower than what its supposed to be and it has been like that for a while. I ran malwarebytes and deleted 9 PUP's. But no help there. My gpu usage is 35% in CSGO and about 50% in other games which is quite low. I know csgo is a cpu based game but i see people with the same specs get atleast 180 fps on 1920x1080 while i play with ~120 on a 1280x1024. When i change the settings to high/medium/low there is no.fps difference. Anyone that can help me out ? I changed my nividia power settings to high already, didn't work. (Btw i see some.people with the same GPU get 90% in csgo?)

I was playing a game of Overwatch when suddenly my PC just stopped displaying, no image no sound no nothing, but my fans, GPU and CPU cooler were still running as if it were turned on. So I do what a normal person would do and just turned it off (via the power button). Same thing happens, keyboard lights up, CPU cooler, fans and GPU start all spinning, but no display, I obviously checked if my monitor wasn't connected, but it was, and the audio turned off when it shut off too so that wasnt the problem. My specs are: Ryzen 7 2700X installed on an Asus TUF B450-Plus Gaming, GTX 1050 TI double fan from MSI, 8gb of 2400mhz ballistix sport, 240 GB Kingston SSD, 1TB WD Blue. Everything is properly plugged in, the RAM is inserted all the way and I can't think of what could be happening, there's some rain but no thunder so nothing could have been shocked, plus the PSU would be dead and not letting the PC light up if that was the case TL;DR: PC turns on and everything starts working, but no display (including Mobo logo/bios bootup) or sound coming

This might be a stupid question, but I couldn't find any helpful answers elsewhere: I've got a Dell XPS 15 (9570) and want to connect it to 4 external monitors (internal monitor won't be needed) - which isn't possible. Now I had the idea of buying an eGPU-Case and sticking a cheap card in it, that supports 4 monitors (most likely an old Quadro). I don't want to spend too much money and the processing power of my internal 1050ti is sufficient for me currently. Would I be able to run everything (games, video encoding/decoding) from my 1050ti and just output what is being rendered through a seperate, external card? I'm pretty shure, that's how it works in tandem with the Intel UHD graphics, so this should be possible, right? If so, how much does it impact performance?

My computer hangs up sometimes, It just freezes but hears nothing or anything. It may recover but it is very rare. I have AMD FX6300, GTX 1050ti, MSI 970A-G46, Kingston 120GB SSD, Corsair Vengeance 16GB, Western Digital 596GB. What is new and what I do not know is the fault is Ram, 1050ti, SSD. What I think is the fault is the motherboard because it has been around 100 degrees can the solder melt and fucked the motherboard or can it be that the CPU sings on the last song? Sorry for bad english.

Hello everyone! I am completely new to Linus Tech Tips forums. It took me forever to just swing by and create an account (and boy was that really simple to do). Anyways, I am trying to not lose my sense of computer tech and I found this post on the Facebook marketplace for a "1050ti": Now I have never owned a 1050ti, but.... pretty sure this is not a 1050ti. From the look of the card, this looks like a 750ti. So I message him about the card and mentioned that it a could be 750ti. However, he swears its a 1050ti. Just to check with everyone here, could this be a 1050ti (I honestly think not). Thank you for reading!

AMD 9590fx Gigabyte ga-990fxa-ud3 r5 1050 ti 850 watt psu 1 500gb ssd Will post and sit in bios indefinitely, as soon as I type in my windows key to install windows it shuts down and powers itself back up I just took this psu out of my 2700x system for my sister cause I have a new psu for that build coming tomorrow so the psu should be ok but it is makeing a new whining noise that I've never noticed. Bios reports 50c for an hour so it could be cooling issues?

I am wondering if I can pop a 1050ti or a gtx960 into an old Z800 HP desktop. The graphics card seems to physically fit in the large PCIe slot fine. I'm just wondering if the motherboard will bottleneck the speed of the graphics card because its old. The motherboard is an E139765 I believe. The PCIe slot on the motherboard (the one that I plugged the graphics card into) reads "J41 Slot 2 PCIe 2x16 75w". I believe the model number from HP is FF825AV. What do people think? Can I just boot it up with a windows 10 hard drive and play some games at a 1050ti level?

I bought a GTX 1050ti I cannot set resolution any higher than: 3840x2160 60Hz *YUV4:2:0* I can set resolution to: 3840x2160 *30hz* RGB/HDR But this was the same limitation i had with my 750ti, which was only HDMI 1.4 My TV has a setting for HDMI 2.0 mode, it says its for "4k, 60Hz, 4:4:4 4:2:2 4:2:0, 10bit and above" the options are: -Standard -Enhanced My Problem is, when i set it to ENHANCED, i get a black screen! Anyone have ANY idea why im not getting HDMI 2.0 to work? Thanks in Advance, Mr. Briggs p.s. This is like the second time in my life i've posted on a forum, so apologies if its in the wrong place

Windows 10 64-bit AMD Ryzen 7 1700X 16GB of RAM Gigabyte AX370-Gaming 3-CF NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti (EVGA) BIOS Version: american Megatrends F25 1/16/19 I updated my game-ready drivers. I can not remember the old driver I updated from. It was in the 300's. But I updated to the current drivers 436.15. Once I updated that. Wallpaper Engine is crashing (basically a game). Multiple games are crashing. I could not open more than 4 tabs in chrome without the pages failing to load or chrome crashing if I opened too many 10+. I used to be able to open hundreds with no issue. Also, some games seem to be running worse than before, but that could be in my head. I updated Windows to the latest version and that did not help. I reinstalled my Game-Ready drivers using Geforce Experience and all seem to be better. AKA no crashes and I could open many times in chrome (I did not try to open more than 10). But the next day I opened a game and it looked glitched out, then wallpaper engine crashed and I got a windows message saying my Nvidia drivers crashed and windows was running there own drivers had to reset my pc because it didn't really work. Now I am typing this. Before I reinstalled my Nvidia drivers and before and after I updated windows I was getting errors. when wallpaper engine crashed it said my graphic drivers could not run DirectX10. In Minecraft, I would get error messages in the in-game chat saying "OpenGL error: 1281 (invalid value)" could be unrelated and it only happened when I CTRL+ATL+DELed out of the game and I say the message when I went back it. Most likely unrelated. I got the error message one saying "NVDisplay.container.exe - application error. The instruction at 0x00007ffa06648439 referenced memory at 0x0000000000000000. the memory could not be written. Click OK to terminate the program" Also don't know if this is related, but I can not open my command prompt, normally and as administrator.

Hey everyone! I've got a friend who has been gaming on an i7 2600 for the past decade and I was telling him he should upgrade. I suggested the new Ryzen 3600 and he's all for it but he insists on holding onto his GTX 1050 TI. I thought it would be a conscious choice since the CPU could hold out for another decade and he can snag a newer GPU along the way. Would my friend see any framerate increases on just upgrading to the 3600 and new platform? Thanks in advance!

I've bought 1050 ti in march 2018 and the experience was pretty good, than with a few nvidia driver updates and a few new games I'm running every game in 1080p in 60fps but with the lowest settings except the resolution, so it got me thinking should it be possible to flash the card to 1650. I know it might sound stupid and is there any way to increase the performance without upgrading the graphics card (i've already overclocked it to the limits). Gigabyte 1050ti G1 i5 8400 8gb ram 2666 750w bronze power supply Hoping that I can get some help from you mates, Thanks!

Hey , this might be a dumb question , but how do I change the voltage when overclocking a graphics card , as far as I can see afterburner only allows you to change core voltage (%) and dragging the slider up doesnt change much. How do I change the actual voltage (ie. 1.2mv to 1.3) and in what intervals should I change it when I find out how

I'm having troubles running Black Ops 3 smoothly. It's running at about 30-40 fps. I'm able to run Black Ops 4 just fine with a 1050ti and an i7 4790k. I know I have a good GPU, but I'm not sure why this game is running so poorly. Nobody has had this issue apparently since I've looked online and it's mainly people with poor hardware trying to run the game. My old 960 ssc 2gb ran this game perfectly fine with my old i5 CPU so I'm not sure what exactly is wrong.

My computer worked fine earlier today while gaming. Went to boot up an hour ago and it booted in like 480p. Changed to 1440p. Started Rainbow Six Siege and got 1fps in the main menu. Restarted my computer twice and still messed up. Powered off and unplugged and plugged back in. Now I don't get a signal. I even tried the second slot on my mobo. The mobo graphics work, but the GPU isn't even detected. The fans on my GPU spin, but not very fast. Is my GPU fried? My parts are: Mobo- ASRock B250 Pro4 GPU- Asus 1050ti (powered through mobo) CPU- Intel i7 6700 PSU- corsair CX 750M
