I have Intel 660P NVMe 1TB When i download something or update something rather the average response time in ms varies from 50ms all the way up to 2000ms or literally 2s at that point. Why is such a big latency? Is it because disk cannot spread the information on all the chips and is limited to lets say 1 chip left if you are like 80-90% full? and as soon as it gets to like 30-50ms the disk active time gets to 100% which makes my pc unusable which makes it lag really hard. I've never experienced something like that when i bought the disk in 2019. The disk is always at around 60%-80% capacity. It's kind of crazy for something like that to happen to an NVMe, the last time i was experiencing that was with hard drives lmao. quite sad. Now I know that it is ideal to have more space on the disk itself, but i truly doubt the capacity is the true and only culprit here, is it perhaps TBW? and how it compares to more than just one 1TB disk? If you have like 2TB-4TB at the same % of occupation it should still work faster, right?

Hi, I was wondering if anyone can help me with this, I've built my pc, after many problems over the years, a fried motherboard, a fried ssd, 2 psus failed, etc. Well the thing is that 2 weeks ago, I was working on some rendering, when my pc shut down, and after 30 seconds I heard a small explosion, and smelled like fried transistors, so i figured it out that the psu was broken. I needed to finnish the work so I took my gpu and installed it on an other pc, to my surprise it worked better than expected even better than my pc. On my pc my gpu works at 100% and at 75-80°, its very hot, so I always open my case so I can point another fan to it, on the other pc it worked at 50% and 60° more or less, and the rendering were fast enough. I use the firestorm app to limit the gpu from zotac. I ordered another psu (a bigger one) and the gpu still works at 100% and stays very hot on my pc. My pc: cpu - i9900k ram - 64 gb (4x16) ssd - 512gb gpu - zotac-gaming-geforce-rtx-4090-amp-extreme-airo psu - 1300w (850w the older one) Cooling - 4 fans + liquid cooler 2 fans Software - Twinmotion 2023.1.2 Other pc: cpu - Ryzen 7 5700g ram - 64 gb (4x16) ssd - 1tb gpu - zotac-gaming-geforce-rtx-4090-amp-extreme-airo psu - 850w Cooling - 3 fans + liquid cooler 2 fans Software - Twinmotion 2023.1.2 I know that the Ryzen is newer but it compares to the i9900k, I just wonder, how can it be that my gpu on my pc stresses that way, I dont know how to solve this, can anyone help me? btw, I use twinmotion in ultra setting in both pcs, all the settings were the same. Thanks a lot

Heya, I was wondering if anyone of you know if there's a rubber/silicone pad/board that I could put under the key caps to dampen the sound from bottoming out and overall rattle throughout the keyboard? Thanks in advance.

I have an asus notebook powered by an 8th gen i5-8265U I am trying to do a deepfake using deepface lab....And after watching a lot of tutorials I figured out that the iter should be more than 100000 in order to get a decent deepfake while training the model I ran the training session overnight (8 hours) and I have managed to get an iter of 10000....(GPU based training seems to have a lot of issues...like the training stopping randomly and is slower than the training done by the CPU) The issue is my laptop is running at 95C the whole time....So is it safe to run this laptop continuously at 100% CPU for 5 days straight? I tried my best to keep it cool....but it does not seem to reduce the temps

Hi! Since i upgraded my setup i have poor performance, i tried some virus cleaning and installing M2 and more RAM, and two weeks ago i change my chassi and new CPU cooling so everything was in top shape. I thought i could count on taskmanager to show me correct stats, but when i changed chassi i wanted to check more on the temperature and fans speed so i had HWMonitor always on. I started to se sometimes that the CPU was on 100% and that was slowing the PC down. But when a start taskmanager to see what process that is taking that power, everything just cools down to a normal state. (se picturers, taked just seconds apart) I´ve searched for something that could help me but i get the result like, check taskmanager, clean for virus or some other troubleshooting to se with applications that is bugged. But nothing really helps and fells like this i s the same problem. I will reinstalling windows se if that helps me, but anyone who got any more suggestions? except buying a new processor.. To summarize: Bad performance, CPU is at 100%. As soon as i start taskmanager everything goes back to normal CPU and performance.

Every single game I play my cpu is always at 100% even on games like minecraft, how do I fix this? Is there something wrong with my cpu? It doesn't have any heat issues, it says it's minimum temp is 56c and it's max is 74c.

Hi, since a couple of months, my gpu usage is going nuts randomly and it's very frustrating because everything become very slow ... It happens mostly when I'm in a zoom meeting but also when I'm watching a youtube video. I have tried to uninstall both of my graphic card's driver with DDU, tried to run zoom using NVIDIA graphics card, scan my computer with ccleaner, keep up to date my system, but nothing seems to work. In the task manager, Desktop Window Manager is using to much GPU (see pictures below) and I tried to change how windows handle graphics on my computer but it didn't work either. There is also "Windows Driver Foundation - User-moded Driver Framework Host Process" thats using 10 to 20% of GPU usage sometimes. Here are my specs Inspiron 15 7559 Processor Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-6700HQ CPU @ 2.60GHz 2.60 GHz Installed RAM 16,0 GB (15,9 GB usable) System type 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor, Windows 10 Pen and touch Touch support with 10 touch points GPU 1 Intel(R) HD Graphics 530 GPU 2 NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960M I also have to 2 monitors attached to my laptop, unplugging them doesn't seem to solve the problem and all the drivers for them are up to date (for the usb dongle) I started to wonder if there wouldn't be a virus who use my gpu power to mine some bitcoins

I have an alienware 15 R3 and i frequently get a BSOD after the SSD goes to 100% utilization. Here are the specs : CPU : Intel i7 7700 HQ GPU : Nvidia GTX 1070 SSD : M.2 NVME 256 GB RAM : 32 GB 2400 MHz I have updated all my drivers but i still get the BSOD. The computer turns on fine, but after i use it for a while the SSD goes to 100% utilization and the CRITICAL_PROCESS_DIED BSOD comes The percentage of the BSOD also does not go above 0% and i have to force shutdown it.

Computer Type: Desktop GPU: ROG-STRIX-RXVEGA64-O8G-GAMING, 8GB HBM2 CPU: Ryzen 5 3600 Motherboard: MSI B350 PCMATE RAM: G.skill Ripjaws 2800mhz 8g X2 slot 2,4 slot location, XMP profile 1 PSU: Seasonic FOCUS GX-750, 750W 80+ Gold Case: NZXT H500 Operating System & Version: Windows 10 Pro Version 2004 GPU Drivers: Amd Adrenalin 20.10.1 Chipset Drivers: Default chipset drivers Background Applications: Discord, Firefox, Thief(2014), Furmark Description of Original Problem: For the past two months during particularly demanding games my Asus strix Vega 64 will crash to a black screen with the fans ramping to 100%. All audio including discord audio will play for a bit and then stop and a hard restart is required. Running furmark shows that the Graphics card isnt running at full speed during the gpu burn-in test with the card running at less the 1000mhz and the temps not reaching higher than 65c. Further more if i minimize the window, clocks will go to full speed(1630mhz) and reopening the window causes the same crash. Troubleshooting: I've tried updating the bios,Updating Vbios,Re-seating the gpu,Replacing the thermal paste, replacing the powersupply with a Corsair 750w, using seperate power rails for both 8-pin power connectors, updating Amd Display drivers, Downgrading Amd display drivers, Using Enterprise drivers, and messing with the power limit+/-.

Hey all, I'm having problems with my GPU. I'm getting random GPU usage spikes on the desktop watching YT videos or playing games. The usage will spike randomly to 100% and either freeze the browser or the game I am playing. Things I've tried so far: Reinstalled windows. ( different builds) Disabled overclocks and standard bios settings. Tried different nvidia drivers & using ddu to remove drivers clean. Underclocked my GPU. Flashed to latest bios mobo & reflashed GPU bios. Re seating the GPU. Re seating all the PSU connector on the mobo. Temps are fine. Been browsing the web & the forum and this user had exactly the same issue but the thread died without a solution. In this thread the user said he changed his memory and fixed the problem. Before I go out and buy new memory I want to make sure this is the issue. All these parts are new. HI! i got a new pc few daays ago: AMD Ryzen 5 3400G with Radeon Vega Graphics NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 SUPER ROG STRIX B450-F GAMING 16 GB Ram ddr4 two disc: a Lexar SSD (240g) and a 1 tb disc (not ssd) wind10 i't was quarentine time, and oh boy! time to play, the thing is that i got this constant error where the pc stops everything, the mouse keeps moving, but everything else is freezed, if u where writing a whatsapp mensaje it stops and when it unfreezes(it takes 15- to 40 seconds to unfreeze) the mensaje you where writing will apear.... it seems to be happening randomly, either if u are doing a document just browsing on google, or playing.... since rn its quarentine, nobody will come to check, so i decided to look for a fix myself, after some indagation i found that when it happens one of the disc (disc c the one that has windows installed) goes 100% but it isn't writing or reading or writing(if u look in proceces u can't se the 100% only while looking at the graphs) i look for information about the problem on the internet and found diferents solutions: (1) (2) those are the most common solutions i found, i did those and still, it freezes... im just a dude that just wanted to kick some butts in some games... but turned to be an idiot with a computer thats randomly freezes i'm willing to cooperate, if there's more info needed! (also it's my first pc i have, i had a laptop, so this stuff it's new to me)

Hello guys. I have an issue with my brand new nvme m.2 ssd from gigabyte (link to ssd). Due to lack of more than one m.2 slot on my asus b350-f gaming I had to use a pcie adapter for the ssd (link to adapter) which I put in the bottommost pcie slot which is an x4 gen 2.0 slot. Since I will be only using this ssd for a steam game library the actual pcie 2.0 bandwidth bottleneck with this ssd doesn't bother me since there is no gain in game load times past the speeds of SATA ssds. The problem I have are random spikes of 100% drive usage when copying game files from a 1tb 5400 hdd during which time the hard disk usage drops to near 0% (see picture) Disk 0 being the 5400rpm hdd and disk 4 being the nvme ssd. I have no idea if this is normal performance but in my opinion the nvme m.2 really shouldn't be hitting 100% usage when copying files from a 5400rpm drive to it. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Hi. I have been noticing some delays and lagginess when using Windows (opening programs, typing, scrolling, moving cursor etc. etc.) Looking at the screenshot below, my CPU spiked up to 100% when I opened up Chrome. So my question is, is that normal? This may help me understand the cause of the lag. Thanks in advance Edit: you can also see my GPU usage spiked as well. Hi. I just upgraded my power supply and graphics card. The problem is I have noticed stuttering in games and Heaven benchmark. I also seem to have high CPU usage -- below I have an attached CPU usage when using Windows normally. What's likely to be causing this? One user told me it could be a CPU bottleneck (I only have a Ryzen 3 2200G), but I have also read online that it could be the fault of the PSU. Thanks in advance Specs: Ryzen 3 2200G GTX 1660 Super StormX BEQUIET BN297 (Power supply) x2 4GB DDR4 @ 2400MHz

My PC specs: https://pastebin.com/MHZSWJqQ (dxdiag) So, I've actually been having this issue with my PC since over a year when I first pieced it together. I've troubleshot it off and on throughout the year. Basically, download and installing a 20MB update on Steam will straight up take 20 minutes, despite my DL speed being 100Mb/s. The download on Steam and spike from 12MB/s down to the hundreds of kilobytes. I've done some research and people have told me that the download speed is outpacing the SSHD write speed, and it has to pause the download creating the spiking phenomenon. For ease of access, I have a Seagate Firecuda 2.5" 2TB ST2000LX001. Despite suspecting the SSHD to be the issue, I've not found a way to fix it. I've ran SeaTools and it doesn't detect any issues. I've also reinstalled Windows, moved the SATA to a different 6GB/s port and no dice. I've tried defragmentation. I've network tested while download spiking has occurred on Steam and the connection speed is fine. The only thing I can maybe say that sticks out (but probably isn't relevant) is that for whatever reason, this is the only SSHD/HDD I've ever had that doesn't lock the SATA cable in when plugged in. It's totally loose-fit and will fall out via gravity if not for the tape I've applied over it. Maybe that's relevant? Probably not. Anyone have any suggestions at all? I'm totally defeated by this. I provided my entire dxdiag.txt because I don't care and I'm not omitting anything.

Hello everyone, Yesterday, i started up my computer to find that it was running slowly. As I was watching videos, chrome became unresponsive. Not long after all of my computer programs became unresponsive and I couldn't load anything up. Even my whole computer was freezing up; like desktop and mouse freezing. I restarted my pc and the problem persisted, I checked my ram usage and found it at 100%. I checked task manager, and no programs seemed to be taking up more than 200 mb of ram. I tried just re-inserting my my ram and that seemed to temporarily settle down my ram usage, but it didn't fix all the lag and program crashes. Eventually, the usage has gone back up. I've waited a day and restarted. Nothing has changed. Right now I'm posting on my phone because my computer is just frozen at this point. I would appreciate any help you all can give. If you need more information just ask. Thanks, Earn

I just upgraded to a ryzen 7 3700x. After finally installing drivers, windows, and games I found out that when I put my computer to sleep the gpu fan spins at 100% indefinitely the same also happens when I shutdown the system. When I wake up or turn on the PC it always reboots as well. ALL DRIVERS ARE LATEST. Windows 10 Pro fully updated. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I just got a new Ryzen 5 3600 and the CPU fan is working at 100% as soon as I start the PC and never changes even if my PC is completely idle. I have a MSI Gaming Plus B450 motherboard. My cooler is a 120mm CoolerMaster AIO. Can't find anything in the BOIS related to fan speed. (Although i'm no expert with this BOIS)

I'm despair on a strange problem. My system runs since almost 2 years without any problems. Since about a few weeks I got the problem that when I'm playing a game like overwatch, after a few minutes, textures and 3D models starting to disappear. After a while the whole game will freeze. When I try to tap out the window the other applications in the background starting to freeze and becoming unresponsive.First thing that came to my head was the RAM. But after I opened the task manager, I saw that the main SSD (Samsung 960 Pro m.2 on DIMM.2) "active time" jumped to 100% and stays that high. Then I have tried to reproduce this behaivor. I can easily do it when I run Furmark on both GPUs. After a few seconds, SSD jumps to 100% and applications starting to freeze. The strange thing is, it will not happen when I only use one GPU. But it's not one of both GPUs that produce this problem. I've tried GPU 1 and 2 separately without any problems. when I use both, yea... you know. It's not a temperature problem. Both GPUs run under water. The SSD temperature is on a normal level. The system is not OCI have updated some of the motherboards drivers in the last few weeks in a month so I can't really say when the problem began. What I've already tried to fix this behavior: Installed the newest GPU driver and one of February Removed Norton Anti-Virus Check the system for malware Installed all current drivers from the Asus website Installed Samsung NVMe Driver 3.0, 3.1 and the Windows NVMe default driver Closed all background applications before testing Switched from BIOS1 running UEFI 1704 to BIOS2 running on UEFI 0802 Reset UEFI settings on 1704 to default DIMM.2 over PCH instead CPU Disable SuperFetch Disable PCIe power saving in Windows Updated Windows 10 to 1903 Samsung Magician says "State: Good" and "Newest firmware installed; 4B6QCXP7" Removed all ASUS crapware PC-Specs OS: Windows 10 Pro (1903) CPU: Intel Core i9-7900X (delidded) Motherboard: Asus ROG Rampage VI Extreme (UEFI 1704) RAM: G.SKill TridentZ RGB 64GB GPU: 2x EVGA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti K|NGP|N Hydro Copper SSD 1: Samsung 960 Pro M.2 1TB (on DIMM.2 Socket; Firmware 4B6QCXP7) SSD 2: Samsung 850 PRO 2.5" 2TB PSU: EVGA SuperNOVA 1600 T2 SLI-Bridge: ZOTAC SLI HB Bridge / 2 Slot Any ideas, what the problem could be? The last thing I can try is to reinstall Windows but I'm not sure if this could fix that problem. The whole behavior makes no sense for me. I'm gonna cry :( My baby is so sick :'( :DThank you

Hi guys, i have aissue on my new bought ssd Crucial BX500 960GB. I bought two of these 1 install on my main pc, while another one on my PS4 Pro: 1. When transferring file through the ssd, starting its run fine but after 2-3min it seems stuck with 100% but show 0kbps in task manager. 2. On PS4 Pro, the drive seem have write issue and its slow down my download speed intermittently at around 2-3mb/s (usually on 30mb/s). No issue on original hdd before. No issue on my internet connection and already claim warranty for both drive but still have the same issue. Any idea?
