  1. I just had my pc resetted and after installing chrome I realised that whenever I alt+tab from the desktop to chrome it just goes dark... Anyone knows how to fix this? Thanks in advance
  2. Sounds good! How does it compare to the Prusa i3 mk2?
  3. Thanks! Does any fillament work on those? How about the Ultimaker original? Is it any good? I dig the DIY aspect of it

  5. Hi everyone I've been thinking about getting a 3D printer but I have no idea what to get. I have a budget of around 1000Euro. One thing I'm looking for is value, if it need be I can increase the budget. In addition to that is fillament printer specific or universal? If it is printer specific can you look out for a printer with reasonable fillament prices? The machine should be able to work with PLA and ABS, any more materials would be great Shoot any questions my way! Thank you very much in advance Tugas
  6. I've made a post in the hobby section regarding my first project. Judging by the answers there seems to be some interest in that forum
  7. Not long! I was super motivated so it only took me a morning to design. I ordered the print in the afternoon and was able to pick up at the end of the next day
  8. I'm a huge Ultimate Frisbee fan. If any of you has ever played you'll know how dirty you can get after a game, and so does the disc. To not have to put a dirty disc inside my bag I made a clip that allows you to attach a disc to the outside of your bag. As a first year engineering student I didn't have a whole lot of experience with CAD, regardless I just gave it a try anyway. The program I used was Solidworks. It's the one they teach us how to use but you could also use Fusion 360 (which is free). First I designed the "cross-section" then extruded it. Then I rendered it and tried to imagine how it'd look like irl. (emphasis on 'tried' as I had no dimensions the disc but the height, I had to estimate a lot and expected to have to improve the model a few times) I don't personally own a 3D printer so I went to 3dhubs to find someone to print it for me. Looking to buy a 3D printer at some point, open for suggestions. In the end I was pretty happy with the result. Perfect fit the first time, so glad I didn't have to go back to change the model and reprint it. The print was made of PLA, not sure whether that's the best material but the dude I contracted assured me it was just fine. I had tons of fun making this and gained a lot of experience. I'm this won't be the last project. PS: Please make a CAD/ 3D printing Forum, surely other people will also like sharing their experiences
  9. You're right, maybe not many users would use it but a forum could spark some interest in 3D printing
  10. Yes I can but only while booting. I've reset the display, nothing changed...
  11. Hi everyone, So recently I was tinkering with changing the refresh rate of my monitor with Amd catalyst. The standard refresh rate of my monitor is 60Hz and I have a R9 270x GPU. When I set the refresh rate to 75Hz it was working just fine, however I tried to set it to 85hz and the screen went black with a message (by the monitor) saying: "Cannot display the video mode, change computer display input to 1920x1080@60Hz". Now this message pops up everytime it boots... What can I do? Thank you in advance
  12. Hi ltt forum, I just oc my 60hz monitor to 75hz and I was wondering if it has any downsides. Like a decreased longevity or if it yould overheat or something. THX!
