I probably should have explained more, the tests are open book. but apparently that means you can just use your books not the internet. She doesn't need to "cheat" shes already got a biology degree she was just worried because she looked up what a word ment. Shes using her PERSONAL laptop at HOME. im not sure if she has to sign into a website to take the test but i would assume so. Im just trying to figure out how they could possibly be doing this. I like the cookie answer it makes sense but if i was in her position i would feel pretty violated that they look threw my history when im taking a test. I'd get a VPN and encrypt everything....or maybe just look at some really weird porn and troll the people monitoring me.

so my girlfriend is going to nursing school right now and they have online tests that they take AT HOME. Today the dean came into her class and told the class that the school can tell if they access Wikipedia or other websites while they take their online test. i don't see how they can do that without a warrant. is this even possible? I told her to get a VPN and encrypt everything but i really dont think they can do that.... what do you guys think?

That driver checker didnt work. woke up to a blue screen report, checked the dump file and there's still a driver issue somewhere..

downloaded and ran, detected 13 outdated drivers, its downloading the outdated drivers for me now. it did try to get me to install a bunch of bloatware but its easy enough to avoid if you read while installing. it does however leave a pop up on my desktop, not sure if its going to keep bothering me or if its just because i'm using the program. so far seems legit

I was trying to decide between Benq's 120 hz monitor and asus's 144 hz I ended up going with the asus and i don't have any regrets.

i couldent get it to work. can any of you upload a zipped folder? i gave up and figured out how to analyze them myself.

So ive been having a ton of BSOD lately, i looked at my dump files and a third party driver has been crashing my system. Do any of you use or know of a program that checks if drivers are up to date? i really don't want to go threw them all manually.... Thanks for the help!!

My computer has been randomly shutting down the last few days, it happened twice today and it seems to be getting worse, i haven't really looked too far into it myself i totaled my car on Sunday so ive had some other things to deal with, i uploaded the minidump folder please take a look and help me out if you can. In my experience universities throttle student connections. if i try to torrent from my dorm room i get .5kb down speed which means everything will take weeks to download. however the lecture halls get more bandwidth so you get better speeds, try torrenting in class over wifi see if its any faster or get a professor your close with to let you leave a computer in their office to just torrent things from. another suggestion depending on the size of the file and your mobile data plan is to just use your 4g connection to torrent things. its pretty fast and they cant stop you. and lastly you can join a school club, get yourself in a leadership position (enough to get the admin passwords on the clubs computers) I live in a building where my speeds are 2-4 mbps i go down the hall to the clubs room log onto their computer and its well over 100mbps up and down speed. chances are if your in a college town there's a restaurant that offers free wi-fi you can also try that. more importantly are you in high school or at a university? if your still in high school just do it at home

any one know when the "HTC one two" is going to be available? i mean the rumors say it should be announced in February-March but it might not be available to purchase for some time. i just got my update this week, two years ago i got the droid X2 which was pretty bad but due to having insurance when i tried to replace my x2 for a broken micro usb port they gave me the razr maxx because they were all out of the x2.im looking for an upgrade, and i want a newer phone, the year old phones dont seem to keep up after an additional year of use.. i was strongly considering the HTC one but its already almost a year old i want to wait for the new HTC one because the rumors sound awesome but if i have to wait another 6 months im not sure its going to be worth it. another thing im thinking about is battery life, i mean i still get a day of usage from my maxx which has a battery twice the size of most phones i dont know if i should go with the ONE or the ONE TWO or maybe the newer MAXX for the battery life... let me hear your guys thoughts

I'm trying to watch a movie through my girlfriend's laptop onto a TV, every computer i have shows the option in the sound menu in control panel to change the audio output to HDMI out but nothing shows up on her window. no matter what i do the audio still plays through the laptop. i tried duplicating the display, extending them and just setting the main display to the TV with no change. Does anyone know how to fix this?

hahaha na, then id just look like a dick trying to look smart. ill just say it keeps the parts cooler so they run faster and last longer. its simple and everyone gets it.

I called corsair and they told me it would most likely freeze....well they put me on hold to ask someone else and they told me it was water mixed with propylene glycol ( which they horribly mispronounced) which has a melting point of -59°C or -74°F but not knowing how much of each is in there makes me think it will probably be OK if i left it outside for a few hours but overnight might be pushing my luck.

I'm driving home from college and I'm stopping at my girlfriends for a night, instead of carrying my computer inside to keep it warm and trying to explain that to her father i could just leave the thing in my car.

I have to pack up to drive back home soon and im trying to find what kind of liquid is in these pre-filled systems, I don't want to leave my rig in the car overnight and have the liquid freeze and break or loosen something. does any one know if its safe to leave outside for a few nights? its gets down to around 20°F most nights, sometimes colder sometimes warmer.

I've noticed lately that my front panel USB ports arent working on my Corsair Obsidian 650D im using the MSI Mpower z87 motherboard. when i run the super charger application it tells me its running but i cant ready anything from the USB ports, I've tried unplugging and plugging it back and and numerous restarts with no change. I also tried connecting the front panel cable into another USB 2.0 header and no change. so looks like my front panel usb is dead, which really sucks because its a pain to have to climb behind my computer to plug something in. anyone have suggestions on how to fix this?
